CHAPTER 24&25

( WHEN SHE’S HURT )

Butter evaded the car and narrowly escaped getting hurt, but the bike almost fell, he had to control it to stop it from falling.

When he finally balanced it, the driver of the car started shouting from his car..

Butter has no time to reply, he drove away but he lost Draco and JoJo already, and he has no idea of the way they took.

He stopped driving and removed his helmet, his hair sprawled on his face s*xily, and some passing girls started gushing, snapping his pictures.

He got him phone and dialled James number.

“Are you suddenly interested in hiking?, I’m…

“Where’s the hiking s₱0t?” Butter cut him off.

“Wait… you’re coming?” James asked.

“Tell me the f*cking place” Butter replied impatiently.

“Mahogany forest” James replied, and Butter hung up immediately.

The girls were still snapping his pictures when he used his helmet and drove off.

MAHOGANY FOREST**

Draco has reduced his speed since it seems Butter isn’t following anymore, they’re in the forest already anyways, he’s just looking for a suitable place to park the bike.

JoJo’s arms are still around him, and somehow….. Somehow he felt good about that.

He finally found a s₱0t and halted the bike, JoJo came down and he did the same, then he took off his helmet easily while JoJo struggled with hers.

He moved closer to her and removed her hand from the clip.

JoJo gasped at the coldness of his palms.

“You ok?” He asked gently.

“Yes…. just that…your palms are so cold” she replied, and he unclipped the helmet.

He hung it on the bike and looked at her.

JoJo looked up at him and started staring at his face.

He looks expressionless, he’s always like that so it’s f**king difficult to read him or know what he’s feeling.

Somehow, she wants to be able to read him and know things about him, she wants to understand him, even if it looks impossible.

She bit her lip and looked away from his face eventually.

“Let’s go” he said, leading the way.

She smiled and followed fast, they only walked for three minutes before getting to the mouth of the hill.

“Will I really be able to climb?” She said, blinking repeatedly as she stared at it.

Draco brought out a stopwatch and faced her.

“Let’s see how many minutes you’ll spend to climb, start” he said.

“How mean” she pouted and started climbing.

He followed behind easily, watching her every step while looking at the watch.

“I seriously hate guys like you” Snow said to James who’s beside her.

They’ve been hiking together since ten minutes ago, and she has been complaining.

“I like girls who hate me” he replied with a silly smile, and she shook her head.

She resumed climbing, and James followed, guiding himself with a stick as he did.

“I thought hiking was cheesecake, till I came here today” he breathed.

Snow breathed hærd as she placed her leg on a stone, but it’s a lone one that’s not rooted to the ground, so it turned and her eyes w¡dened.

“Ow! Ow!, I’m falling!!!!” She s¢ræmed as she started going down fast.

James threw down the stick and rushed to stay behind her, so she fell directly into his arms.

Their eyes w¡dened immediately, and she looked at him shockingly, his right palm is mistakenly on her left b**b.

“What… did you just..do” she said, rolling every word out in a slow mo.

James quickly released her.

“Trust me it’s not what you think, I only saved you, it wasn’t intentional, it’s…

Snow suddenly picked the stick from the ground and hit it hærd on his buttocks.

“Arrggg!!!” He s¢ræmed, rubbing his buttocks as he started running away.

“Pervert!, Pervert!!!* Snow shouted, running after him with the stick.

“I’m so tired, I can’t continue anymore, let’s just rest here and go back down, we have fifty minutes left before class” Luke said lazily after hiking for thirty minutes.

He fell on a s₱0t and Walton fell beside him, they were both facing the sky.

“The blue sky in the morning, the dark shade of lavender in the afternoon, and the colour of dark Persian blue in the evening, which is your favorite?” Luke suddenly asked.

“Blue morning” Walton replied.

” Me too!” Luke said happily, and Walton giggled.

“Why are you so happy about it?” He asked, facing him.

“We have something we both like” he replied, and Walton stopped talking.

He started staring at him intently, watching as his long lashes bashed without efforts, how his k-sable l-ips moved cutely, it was crazy.

Luke noticed nothing is coming from him again, so he faced him and caught him staring.

He began staring too, and Walton started leaning in, his heart racing athletically in his chest.

Luke swallowed hærd, and his eyes started closing.

He folded his palms and the eyes finally closed completely.

Walton was about to k-s him when they heard footsteps, so they both spranged up to see v×rgiπia coming that way.

“v×rgiπ” Luke said, and she rolled eyes at him.

She’s obviously tired cos her legs were shaking on the ground, she supported herself with a stick.

“Someone give me a piggyback ride!, I’m tired i can’t continue anymore!!, Butter I need you!!!” She cried.

Walton looked at Luke, and they both started laughing biosterously.

“I did it!!, I did it!!!” JoJo s¢ræmed when she finally got to the hilltop.

Draco stopped the watch.

“25 mins” he said, and she looked back at him.

“Is that what you’re gonna say?” She rolled eyes funnily.

“What do you want?” He asked, walking to her.

“Your necklace” she replied quickly.

“Ask for another thing” he replied flatly.

“Tell me about yourself” she said.

“Ask for another thing”

“Is Kavita your girlfriend?”

“No” he replied, finally getting to him.

“Buy me a gift” she replied and fell on the ground tiredly, hitting her arm on the ground.

“Ouch!” She m–ned painfully.

The shot arm still hurts slightly cos the wound is not totally healed yet.

He squatted in front of her and took her arm immediately without asking, he rolled up the sleeve and his eyes w¡dened when he saw the gunshot wound.

“Who did this?” He asked instantly.

“It’ll be fine in a matter of days, you don’t have to…

“I just asked who the f*ck!” He cut her off, looking directly into her eyes.

His orb changed into livid and furious already, the brown balls are now a shade of light red.

“Kent” she replied, and the light red turned deep immediately, his orb reddened completely, and he stood.

JoJo stood too, looking at his backside as he digged his fingers into his hair.

“I’m really fine trust me, I’ll be…

He walked away immediately, he went South and walked down the hill.

“Should I wait?, Should I… Stay?” She asked herself.

She made to follow him but she was surprised to see Kavita.

She blocked her, and she started moving back.

“Now that he’s always with you,you think you can have him?, Huh?” Kavita said, rolling her eyes toxically.

“I heard him say no when you asked if I was his girlfriend, I’m his girlfriend, but it’s a secret relationsh¡p so you should learn to stay away else I’ll murder you!” she said meanly.

As JoJo moved backwards, her sneaker hit a stone, and she fell heavily.

Her palms got wounded and Kavita let out a wicked cachinnate.

“Stay away from Draco, you can only do otherwise if you wanna cuddle with death, Draco belongs to me!” She threatened and left through the east.

JoJo was still sitting down fearfully when Draco came back, he actually went somewhere to be alone and let out his anger.

“Why are you sitting on the ground?” He asked, walking to her.

“No don’t!” She said, raising her palm to block him, he saw the bleeding palm and squinted.

“Why are you wounded” he said and made to come closer again, but Butter appeared that moment.

“JoJo!” He pushed Draco out of the way and bent in front of her.

“Butter” she said surprisingly as he took her palms and checked them out, both are wounded.

He stood and faced Draco immediately.

Without asking questions, he punched him heavily on the face.

“Butter!” JoJo shouted shockingly, standing from the ground.

Draco’s lip bursted immediately, and it bled.

“Why the hell is she wounded!” Butter gnarled angrily.

Draco wiped the blood on his l-ips, and Butter punched him again.

“Butter stop!!” JoJo shouted.

“What’s happening here?” Luke and Walton appeared.

“Butter!” James showed up with Snow.

“Wait… what’s going on?” v×rgiπia said, appearing behind them.

“I just asked why she’s wounded” Butter said, and Draco smirked with his bloody l-ips.

He was about to punch Butter back when JoJo held his hand.

“Please…. please don’t” she said, looking into his brown eyes.

Draco roughly took his hand from her and gave Butter a final glance before storming down the hill.

JoJo’s eyes followed him down, likewise Snow’s.

“Can someone just tell me the meaning of what just happened in one word?” James said.

“I don’t quiet understand too” Luke replied, and Butter grabbed JoJo’s hand.

“Let’s leave” he said.

“What!” v×rgiπia said, looking at the contact.

“Interesting, I think I’m getting it” Luke said.

“Me too” Walton murmured.

JoJo took her hand from Butter immediately, and he faced her.

“Why would you punch him when he’s not the cause of my wounds?” She said, somewhat angry.

“JoJo….

“He doesn’t deserve the punches” she said and started leaving.

“Kitten!” Snow ran after her, and Butter exhaled lightly.

“Let’s go” Walton said, pulling Luke away.

“I’ll be the one to kill that girl, trust me” v×rgiπia said and left too.

“Dude, is it what I’m thinking?” James said

Without replying, Butter started climbing down.

“Butter!!!” James ran after him.

STANFORD UNIVERSITY★ AN HOUR LATER**

“Kitten!” Snow shouted when she sighted JoJo, she was just about to enter the humanities LT.

“Snow!” JoJo faced her, and she removed her earpieces before rushing to meet her.

They actually departed after leaving the forest earlier… to prepare for class.

“Did you treat your palms?” Snow asked, taking a look at them.

Both palms are bandaged.

“Yes, mummy treated them” she said, raising up the bandaged hands.

Snow smiled, and they started walking to class.

“Did you come hiking with Draco the other time?” She asked carefully.

“Yeah, I was supposed to go bike riding with Butter, but he didn’t show up till Draco came, he offered to go hiking with me and I accepted since I badly wanted to go” JoJo explained, and Snow smiled lightly.

“You’re close to the two hottest guys here, how lucky” she said.

“I guess” JoJo replied.

“Hey tomato!” Kent’s voice made them stop

They turned back to see him shinning his teeth annoyingly, he still has bruises on his face from what Draco did to him.

“I love you!” He winked at JoJo and walked away.

“Animal” Snow shook her head.

“I know, right?” JoJo laughed as they entered the class.

Butter is in already, but Draco is not in.

JoJo felt bad immediately, wondering if he’s ok.

She kept looking at the door, expecting him to come in throughout, but till the lecture ended, he didn’t show up.

“Next class is 12:30, let’s go get snacks, I’ll explain the topic at the cafeteria” Snow suggested, and she left the class with JoJo.

Butter also left the class immediately.

Snow and JoJo were still on their way to the cafeteria when their phones buzzed at a time.

They stopped and checked, then they looked at each other.

“I passed the audition!!!!!” They both s¢ræmed at a time, hugging tightly immediately.

“We did it!” JoJo shouted.

“Yes!!!” Snow s¢ræmed again.

“Are you a fan of LOVERBOYZ?” JoJo suddenly asked.

“Of course, but Luke is my bias, I just love his girlish look” Snow replied cheerfully.

“Aww, Lustre is mine, I love his voice so much!, Let’s go to the concert together tonight” JoJo said.

“Sure kitten” Snow replied, and they stuck hands.

Butter appeared immediately and grabbed JoJo’s hand

“Can we talk for a minute?” He said.

She was about to protest when Snow patted her.

“I’ll be waiting at the cafeteria” she winked and entered.

Butter pulled JoJo to the dead end of the hallway and still didn’t let go of her hand.

“I’m sorry” he said slowly, and she blinked.

“I acted rash, I shouldn’t have done that, I just…lost it after I saw your wounds” he said again, and she sighed.

“Apologize to him” she replied.

“What!”

“Yes, he got wounded because of your punches, you should at least do that” she said and took her hand from him.

She walked away, and after she went out of sight, Butter closed his eyes and rested his back on the wall.

AMPHITHEATRE**

Draco has snapped close to two hundred pictures of the sky since he got there.

He has no plans to go to class, he’ll just stay there till noon before going to the arts club center.

He hasn’t been able to get what happened in the forest off his head, the fact that JoJo stopped him from punching Butter is the most infuriating.

At the same time, he’s worried about her wounded palms.

He was about to click the next picture when Kelly came in.

Draco ignored him

“Tonight is survival of the fittest, you should brace up, I won’t go easy on you” he said.

“Sure” Draco replied, and Kelly laughed.

“Do you know one thing I like about you?, Even in the face of death you’ll still sound confident, but there won’t be room for confidence tonight when you finally die by my gun” he said and walked out.

Draco returned to his camera, but he was interrupted again.

“Knight in shinning armor” JoJo’s voice called, and his arm went down.

He looked back and saw her bandaged hands, he badly wants to ask if it hurts but he kept it in and pretended like he didn’t see her.

He turned back to his camera.

JoJo walked to him and stood in front of him.

“Why aren’t you talking to me?”

“Leave” he replied coldly

“Huh?”

“You heard me” he replied, and she blinked.

“My hands hurts” she said.

He sighed and faced her.

“Why the hell did you stop me from punching that f*cker?”

“If you punched him, then he’d punch you back and you’ll punch again, it’ll become a big fight and…

“I don’t care” he replied curtly, and she blinked.

“I’m… sorry” she said, looking at his wounded l-ips.

She moved closer and stood on her toes to touch the lower lip, he didn’t move.

“Does it hurt a lot?” She asked worriedly.

Draco didn’t talk, he just settled his eyes on hers, and she kept her thumb on his l-ips.

Their eyes finally met, and she stared back without blinking.

“Draco!” Kavita’s voice brought them back to their senses, and she quickly took her hand off his l-ips.

Kavita stormed in and slapped JoJo soundly.

She fell on her butt, her palms making contact with the floor.

They started bleeding again, and the blood stained the bandages.

“It’s bleeding again” she winced.

“How dare you stay near him after all my warnings” Kavita barked.

“You met her in the forest, you caused her palms wounds… right?” Draco said, and Kavita faced him.

His orb is starting to get red, and she got scared immediately.

“Trust me I did nothing to her, she fell on her own when I was…

Her sentence was cut short when Draco slapped her right cheek.

“Draco!” She gasped shockingly, holding the cheek.

JoJo’s eyes w¡dened.

She hasn’t gotten over the shock when he slapped her left cheek too.

“F**k!, Draco!” She shouted with wide eyes.

It wasn’t over, cos he grabbed her neck and started pushing her to the wall.

Kavita’s eyes began rolling willingly in their sockets, and her veins started bulging as she struggled to break free from him.

He has been seeing his angry side but this one is extraordinary.

He finally got to the wall and pushed her violently to it, her backbone almost got cut.

“Dra..dra ..co…. Let me…go” she coughed, water was already coming out of her eyes.

“I hate when she gets hurt” Draco muttered, pinning her neck more tightly.

Blood began coming out of her nose.
