DAYS LATER …..

Oh my! What a day to look forward to, Time sure flies fast, I couldn’t believe that my wedding was just 3 days away.
A lot has happened as the days passed especially since that incident with David, and speaking of David, things aren’t looking so good for the poor loser.
After he was arrested and taken away, I pressed charges and sued him to court, David had no chance and the odds were against him, He had no one to come to his aid but in that end, He was saved by the very person he despised the most and that person was my darling Peter.
Peter felt sorry for him and urged me to forgive the b-stard and let God punish him instead, His present condition was even enough punishment for him, so we dropped all charges against him and decided to let him deal with his own miserable fate which was Poverty but things didn’t go as planned.

As it turns out, There were quite a few people David had wronged and they all demanded for his head, among the things he did to these people was collect debt without paying back and he even assaulted one pr-stitute who unfortunately for him was well connected with powerful people, so he was yet again apprehended and sued in court once more and things didn’t end well for him.
The Judge who judged the case sentenced him to 30 years imprisonment with hærd labor and a fine to pay off the debt he owed people, The money which I transferred to him on the day we met was used to settle off some people. By the end of everything, David was taken to prison, no one came to see him off not even some of hid family members.
It was sad that things had to end this way for him but it was his fault, He had his chance to start a new life and he chose to throw it away.

But David’s case is past tense, it’s now ancient history, the future is what I’m looking forward to and that future is my wedding with the man of my life.
Just like I said, Time flew by really fast and every thing was now set and ready except for one thing.. I still haven’t bought a wedding gown.
My mom pressurized me to choose any gown and wear it for the wedding but I wanted some new, Wearing white from head to toe is getting old fashioned and too common, I want to try something different.

So one afternoon, I was at the film festival event together with Happiness discussing on the gown of my choice. Happiness too had the same view as my mother but I wasn’t going to let them persuade me.

Happiness ➡ Seriously Angelina.. What’s this stubbornness over a wedding gown? Time is running out and you still haven’t decided yet.

Angelina ➡ Look Happiness.. This is my wedding okay!? I want to wear something different.. All this white dressing is getting too old for my taste.

Angelina ➡ Almost all of them.. And all they have is the white gown.

In that moment, Bianca who was sitting right next to us interrupted our conversation.

Angelina ➡ Yes… I’m tired of seeing this white gowns.. They sicken me.

Bianca ➡ Well, have you heard of this new place that sell wedding gowns.. They have different variety.

After the event, Happiness and I drove to the bridal shop that Bianca told us about, It was a new shop just as she said. As soon as we parked our car, we went into the shop to see their merchandize.
The moment I stepped into the shop, I was blown away by what I saw.. The gowns here were stylish and cool, it was exactly the kind of thing I needed not like those puffy ones in the other shops.
After looking around, Happiness and I began to browse through the shop, We spent an hour looking at each gown, they were so fabulous I had no idea which one to choose from.
Finally, I saw one that caught my attention completely, It was a black strapless mermaid wedding gown with gloves and a tiara 👑, The gown had black diamond embroidery on the bodice. After examining it, I checked the price tag and saw the amount was 150 thousand naira.

Happiness ➡ This one looks like but its black! Choose another one naw.

Angelina ➡ NO! I want this one.. This one will suit me perfectly.

In that moment, The shop owner came and stood before us, asking if she could be of any assistance, as soon as she saw me, she dazed 😳.

Shop owner ➡ Good afternoon ladies, how can I…. OH MY GOD! .. You’re… You’re.. You’re.. Angelina Felix.. The famous international celebrity.. Oh my goodness.. You look more attractive in person.. It’s an honor to have you in my shop.. Do you mind if I take a selfie with you.

The lady didn’t hesitate for a minute, She brought out her infinix hot10 smart phone and took the selfie with me and Happiness. After that, it was back to business as usual.

Angelina ➡ I like this gown.. My wedding is in 3 days, and I’m behind schedule.. Is there a room where I can try it?

Shop owner ➡ Sure.. Come this way.

I took the gown and followed the shop owner to one dress room, it was quite small but it will do.
As soon as we got into the room, I removed my clothes and tried the gown and Voila!! It fitted me perfectly.

Angelina ➡ Oh la la.. Angelina look at you! Man, do I look hot? Hooo.

Happiness ➡ Omo.. This gown no be for here.. It looks perfect on you.

Shop owner ➡ Absolutely.. You look grand and magnificent.. Your groom will be blown away if he sees you.

Angelina ➡ Hmm, just like at how curvy I look.. This is what I’m talking about.. Now I like a real modern bride. I’ll take this gown.

Shop owner ➡ Wise decision 🤑🤑🤑.. I’m sure you’ve seen the price tag 🏷.

Angelina ➡ Yes, yes.. Don’t worry.. You’ll get paid in full.. Oya wrap in up immediately.

After I removed the gown, the shop owner took the gown and did as I told her, once she had packaged everything, I transferred the money to her account and as soon as she saw the alert, Happiness and I left the shop and drove back home. Finally everything was ready and I can now look forward to my wedding with Peter, I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he sees me in this gown.

WEDDING DAY…….

Finally, The happiest and most exciting day of my life has arrived, as we Nigerians likw to say, *Today na Today*.. Well, Today is my day.
Just like any other groom who’s about to be married to the woman of his life, I was excited but I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
For the first time in 6 years, I’ve haven’t felt this nervous like the days I was trying to confess my love to Angelina , The wedding was to commence at 10:00am and I was already dressed and suited up, but I hid myself in the room, just as we were about to leave, it was Salim and kevin who realized that I was missing and came into my room to look for me.

Salim ➡ Kai Peter! What are you doing in your room.

Kevin ➡ Come make we go.. The wedding is about to start o. Let’s get going.

Peter ➡ I’m sorry guys but I don’t think I can go. I’m nervous

After a boost of confidence from Salim, my nervousness disappeared completely, The three of us left my room and soon left the house, Salim had taken the responsibility of renting a small Limousine for the wedding.

We drove and headed straight to the road driving in small convoys. 15 minutes later, We arrived at the church ⛪️ where the wedding was holding, as soon as the car was parked, I went into the church and took my place on the altar waiting for Angelina’s entrance. Salim who is my best-man stood along me and Kevin giving me thumbs up.
The church was already full, Both family members of Christen and I were already seated waiting for the wedding to begin.

Salim ➡ (silently) What!?

Peter ➡ (silently) Why isn’t Angelina here?

In that moment, There was a small blow of trumpet 🎺 and everyone stood up staring at the direction of the door, I adjusted myself and looked at the direction of the door as well.
In an instant, The door slowly opened and Charlene’s kids walked into the church throwing flowers on the ground the walked on, in a blink of an eye, Angelina walked into the church as well with her father, They both walked slowly and majestically down the aisle.
I couldn’t help myself but gasp as I saw Angelina.. No words could describe how lovely she looked, she was more than beautiful. Everyone in the church looked at her as well wowing as they saw her.

The wedding gown she wore was definitely a work of great skill, It had no veil instead it came with a small tiara which was perfectly balanced on Angelina’s head, She didn’t do any fancy makeup, there was nothing artificial about her beauty except the grey contact lenses she ins**ted on her pupils But even still, it made her look very s€×y.

Seconds later, she split ways with her father and joined me on the altar, She stared at me lovingly giving me a wink, I too gave her a wink as well using hand gestures to tell her she was beautiful.
In that moment, Everyone sat down and the Priest began to wedding rites, He made a brief speech and made lots of quotes from the bible about marriages, as soon as he was done, He asked the big terrifying questions.

Priest ➡ Peter Wright, Do you take this lovely woman, Angelina Felix to be your wife and do you promise to love and cherish her til the end of your days?

Peter ➡ Yes I do.

Priest ➡ And as for you Angelina Felix.. Do you take this dashing young man to be your husband and do you promise to love and cherish him til the end of your days?

After that, Bianca and Dora left us both and went out of the church, it’s a shame that they can’t make it later to the wedding ceremony, as soon as they were gone, Angelina and I kept snapping pictures with our relatives.
Hours later, Everyone had converged at the wedding ceremony, Thanks to Francis, He had loaned us some exclusive resort where Nollywood celebrities hang out and chillax.
The event was quite a joyful one cause there was food and music, Angelina dominated the event by dancing sed-ctively to the music that was being played, I’m even surprised how she can dance in this tight gown and a high heel 👠. We later both danced together in gentle steps as the M.C played a softer music, I held her tightly in my arms staring at her beautiful eyes, I must admit I’m one lucky guy 🤞 to have Angelina as my wife.

I grabbed her hand pulling her with me as we both headed to the balcony, as soon as we got there, I closed the door so that we wouldn’t be bothered.
In that moment, The sun was about to go down and the sky looked so beautiful, Angelina and I stayed close to ledge staring at the lovely sun.

Peter ➡ Yes.. It’s not everyday you see something as beautiful as this.

Angelina ➡ So what now? We’re now married. Our lives won’t be the same as before.

So that’s it Folks… That’s the story of my love journey with Angelina, It was a little bit rough but we finally made it in the end. It’s been a few years since our marriage but life has been good for the both of us and our love has gotten stronger than ever.
After the wedding, We both traveled to China to spend our honeymoon, China wasn’t the best place for a honeymoon, their food was too much for me to handle but their hotel resorts are magnificent.
After the honeymoon, we came back to Nigeria to start our lives as couples.. Months later, Angelina gave birth to baby boy, whom we named Chris, the next year Angelina and I another child but this time it was a girl, we named her after Angelina’s mother, the next year after that, we had another baby girl naming her after my mom.
As soon as we lined up all three kids, we decided to put a break on making more babies.. Angelina sure dedicated her time in restoring her body to its normal glory.
Marriage life wasn’t easy at all, in fact it was difficult and hærd on both me and Angelina, sometimes we even had to quarrel and argue but just as always, We manage to solve our problems and issues.
We also found a way to keep our family together, we made sure we didn’t let our work keep us busy from spending time with each other.
Honestly, We had our parents to thank for showing us the ropes and telling us tips to a lasting marriage and a happy family. Sometimes I would sit down and think how my life would have turned out if they hadn’t relocated here to Abuja, I couldn’t have asked for a better future than this.
Married life isn’t easy but with a little patience, love, understanding, tolerance and prayer, everything would work out just fine. I would you tell you all about my life with Angelina as my wife, but I’m afraid that’s another story for another time. 😉
