CHAPTER SIXTY TWO: THE ESCAPE 4 ( STRANGE ISLAND 3)

I stood in shock as the situation spiraled out of control. Chen let go of my hand, and his parents screamed in horror as they fell to their knees, paralyzed by fear. But my attention remained fixed on Muchen, who had given in to his relentless thirst.

Muchen’s expression contorted in disgust as he drank from Li-Mu’s lifeless body. It was clear he loathed the taste of the blood, but it was the only thing that could quell his insatiable need. My heart ached for him, knowing that he was in torment.

Before I could make sense of what was happening, Muchen’s crimson eyes locked onto my form. His unsteady steps brought him closer to me, and all I could manage to say was, “Are you okay?”I move closer and touch his face, he look so weak, that blood is nearly not enough to steady him.

Chen looked at me, his eyes filled with a mix of horror and disbelief. The room was engulfed in chaos, and it seemed that we were standing on the precipice of an abyss, with no clear path to safety.

I knew Muchen was at wrong, it is early wrong to try to kill the people that had helped you but he is helpless.

Tensions remained palpable in the room, the weight of the unsettling situation pressing down on everyone. The sight of Muchen drinking Li-Mu’s blood must have left everyone in shock and I knew that things needed to change before it was too late.

“Not full, I need more,” Muchen’s voice rumbled, his gaze fixated on everyone in the room. His plea was filled with desperation and hunger, but it sent shivers down my spine. I knew that his unquenchable thirst could lead to disaster.

“We should leave,” I implored Muchen, the urgency in my voice evident. I reached out to gently touch his arm, hoping to break the hold of his predatory fixation.

However, Muchen remained unyielding. His attention shifted to Chen, his eyes clouded with anger as he advanced on him, causing Chen to take a step back in fear.

“What makes you think you will leave here alive?” Muchen’s words cut through the air, ominous and evil. His predatory instincts had taken over, leaving him a dangerous entity.

Fear coursed through me as I stepped between Muchen and Chen. “Muchen, stop it!” I pleaded, my voice unwavering but laced with anxiety. I knew I had to protect Chen, no matter the cost. I locked eyes with Muchen, silently begging him to regain control.

Muchen’s gaze slowly shifted from Chen to me, and I saw a glimmer of recognition in his eyes. The transformation in him was astonishing. His fangs retracted, and his fingers returned to their normal state.

“We should leave,” I repeated with more conviction, holding his gaze. There was a momentary struggle within him, but then he nodded, in a blink of an eye he was back to normal

Muchen took my hand, and we moved towards the exit. The room remained eerily quiet, the bystanders still grappling with the surreal events that had just unfolded. We needed to leave this place before any more chaos could occur, and I could only hope that Muchen’s hunger would be sated enough for us to find safety.

Leaving the building, silence engulf us, only the sound of our footsteps remain…no words were said but a lot move in our mind, my gaze move to Muchen, he doesn’t look remorseful about what happened earlier either.

The villagers kept looking at us, whispers moving around.

” Don’t pay much attention to them”

Muchen and I approached the village hotel, the sight of its beautiful decorations catching our attention. The vibrant colors and intricate designs spoke of the care and artistry that had gone into the building. As we entered, the innkeeper greeted us warmly, and Muchen surprisingly got a room for us without money

For some reason he refuse to speak a single word to me, he remain quiet, as if trying to avoid engaging words with me.

Once inside our room, the door closed behind us, creating a private sanctuary. However, the weight of our recent actions hung heavy in the air. I couldn’t contain my emotions any longer, he wasn’t talking to me and then I kept replaying everything in my head and before I knew it, my hand connected with Muchen’s face in a resounding slap.

I was starting to feel the guilt, it was heavy on my heart and what may befall us tomorrow

He stared at me in shock as tears streamed down my face. “That was wrong, Muchen,” I sobbed, my voice trembling. “You shouldn’t have done that to them. They will certainly tell the villagers about us, and tomorrow will bring more difficulties. The villagers might seek exorcists and attempt to take you from me.”

My words held a mixture of anger and despair, but I couldn’t help feeling a sense of dread for what lay ahead. Our actions had consequences, and they could threaten the fragile existence we were trying to maintain.

“Jing,” Muchen began, his hands resting gently on my shoulders. I looked up, meeting his eyes. His face held a mixture of remorse and affection. And then, without saying another word, he drew me close and pressed his lips against mine.

In that moment, I felt the turmoil inside me slowly dissipate. The warmth of his kiss spoke of his love and his remorse for his actions. It was his way of showing me that he understood the gravity of the situation, but he also needed me to understand why he had lost his control.

As our lips parted, I gazed into his eyes, my heart heavy with both anger and love. Our future remained uncertain, and the challenges ahead were numerous. ” Stop crying ” he mumble ” I hate it when you do ”

” I just…..”

” I know, I understand how kind you are and me hurting those people must have really angered you….am sorry for hurting your feelings”

” Aren’t you sorry for killing her?” I look at him, he shrug then smile

” Not really” this just the kind of person he is

” Stop that” I chuckle before looking around the place, the room seem fairly decent, Muchen took his bath and once he got out I didn’t hesitate to go into the bathroom and shower, stepping out, I stare at Muchen laying on the bed, he look so calm and inviting ” come here” he widen his arms and I quickly climb the bed.

We lay in silence for a while, both lost in our thoughts. Muchen’s eyes finally met mine, and he reached out to caress my cheek with a gentle touch. There was a tenderness in his gaze that spoke volumes, a silent acknowledgment of the turmoil.

“I’m sorry, Jing,” he whispered, his voice filled with remorse. “I let my hunger get the best of me and I shouldn’t have put you through that.”

I nodded, my eyes searching his. “I understand, Muchen. It’s just… I’m scared for what the future holds. The villagers may not understand, and they might seek to harm you.”

Muchen’s fingers traced patterns on my cheek as he sighed. “I know, my love. We need to be cautious, but I promise you, I will protect you. I will do everything in my power to keep you safe.”

” I know that ”

” That being said ” he lean close and my whole face heat up ” I will definitely like to touch you tonight, I have missed you ” he use his finger to trace my lower lip ” I miss your taste ”

CHAPTER SIXTY THREE: THE ESCAPE 5 ( STRANGE ISLAND 4)

The room was filled with a soft, golden light as Muchen and I lay in the warmth of our shared bed. My eyes met his, and there was an intensity in his gaze that always left me breathless. He reached out to trace the contours of my face, his touch gentle as a whisper.

“You are breathtaking, Jing,” he murmured, his voice laced with an affectionate tenderness that sent shivers down my spine.

A soft blush tinted my cheeks as I smiled in response. “You always know how to make me feel special.”

Muchen’s fingers moved to tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear, his thumb grazing my lips. I bit my lower lip playfully, and his eyes darkened. He let out a low, almost rueful chuckle.

“You’re not playing fair,” he whispered, his voice husky with desire. He pulled me closer, and our lips met in a passionate kiss. Time seemed to slow down as we connect.

The room was filled with the warmth of our love, and in that moment, nothing else mattered. as the kiss deepened, we lost ourselves in each other’s embrace, and the outside world faded away. Couldn’t think of anything else, his hands slowly take off my towel.

I couldn’t think of anything else, other than how his hands did wonders, he cut the kiss ” you are perfect, so perfect” his lips slowly move to my breast and I gasp out, he sucked bite and pinch before fully withdrawing.

Our eyes didn’t divert from each other, I watch him take off his shorts ” do you want a taste?” My eyes lower to where his hands are situated, swallowing slowly I move closer to his direction, he let go and I wrap my hands around his cock, I stare at him, how lust and desire fill his eyes ” go on, it’s yours ” without hesitation, I lick the tip, tasting his precum ” don’t be scared ” he half growl ” just out it all in your mouth, like a damn lollipop ”

I did as he said, his moan fill the whole room, hands on my head as he move in and out of my mouth not too fast but a little rough ” oh my fucking lord ” he gasp before releasing everything into my mouth ” swallow ” I watch him before swallowing everything, it tasted salty and sweet same time ” that’s my girl ” he lean close and kiss me one more time, thrust his tongue in and I gasp, he separated my legs in the process, dipping two if his fingers in

” Oh god ” I gasp, eyes rolling behind my head, if that is even possible

” Don’t hide it Jing, let me hear you” I had no idea if it was his words that motivated me but I could feel my whole body elevating, that was hoe good I felt and the moment he turn me around and thrust from behind I couldn’t contain my moans

His thrust was anything but soft, it went hard, rough and sweet ” holy fuck, you really do feel amazing”

” Don’t stop, don’t you dare stop ”

” I won’t, not yet ” I have no idea how long, I moan and felt this pleasure but the moment I came, I lost consciousness…felt like I was finally resting in pure and hones pleasure

As the sun began to cast its morning light through the window, I woke up to find myself lying beside the most beautiful woman I’d ever known. Jing’s peaceful slumber brought a smile to my face, last night flash in my mind and I couldn’t help but to smile.

Aside that, many other thoughts fill my head, I just couldn’t shake everything off my head.

Gently, I kissed her forehead, hoping my touch would convey the depth of my feelings. She stirred slightly, but didn’t wake. I couldn’t let her bear the burden of this situation alone. I had to find a way back to the palace and protect her.

Casting one more look at Jing, I left the bed and quietly moved to the window. I knew what I needed to do. I let out a sharp whistle, a signal I had used with my loyal bird, which was now my only means of communication with my palace. After several minutes of anticipation, I watched as my trusty companion swooped in through the window, landing gracefully on the windowsill.

I rifled through the hotel room’s drawers, searching for pen and paper, and quickly jotted down a message for Li-Mu. The note explained the dire situation, emphasizing our isolation on an unfamiliar island, and imploring him to mobilize the carriages and my men to come to our rescue as swiftly as possible.

With the note securely tied to my bird’s leg, I held it in my hand for a moment, reflecting on the gravity of our situation. This message was our lifeline, our connection back to the palace. I released my bird, watching it disappear into the horizon.

I looked at Jing, who had just woken up, I couldn’t help but replay the events in my mind. There were too many questions, too many uncertainties. I needed answers, not just for my sake, but for Jing’s as well. I wanted to keep her safe, and this situation with Reon was making that increasingly difficult.

I took a deep breath and turned to Jing, my eyes filled with concern. “You’re awake,” I said, my voice somber. “We might have some problems.”

Jing furrowed her brow, clearly confused by my statement. “Huh?” she responded, her gaze fixed on me.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. “Before I fell into the water, I heard a multitude of footsteps,” I explained. “It wasn’t just Reon and I certainly don’t think Margaret knew about all that. There were many people with him”I was sure that if Margaret was involved, she won’t see the need to get so many people

Jing’s eyes widened with realization, and I could see the unease in her expression. “What does that mean? Why would he need so many people?”

I shook my head, feeling a growing sense of dread. “I don’t know, but it doesn’t add up. If Reon truly wanted you dead, he could have done it a long time ago. This… this feels like something else, something bigger.”

The uncertainty weighed on me, and I couldn’t help but think sbout Reon intention, it was obvious it’s me he wanted dead, if he wanted to kill Jing, he would have done that a long ago but why? Why do he want me dead?

I do understand that we have had so many issues in the past but killing me is passing the line, he might not want me dead but capturing me will be part of it. What a stupid boy that Reon is.

As we stood by the window, I notice the villagers approach the hotel armed with various weapons, Jing’s question hung in the air like a heavy cloud. “They really want us dead, don’t they?” she said, her voice laced with a mix of fear and resignation.

I couldn’t help but chuckle at her statement, but the humor quickly faded from my face. She was right; there was a real threat to her life, and these villagers seemed determined to carry out their deadly intentions. However, I couldn’t deny the undeniable urge within me, the dark side of my nature that tempted me to simply eliminate this threat and protect Jing at all costs.

Jing’s eyes bore into mine, filled with worry. “What do we do?” she asked, her voice trembling. “I don’t want them dead.”

I sighed, understanding the depth of her compassion. It was one of the many things I loved about her. “I don’t want that either,” I replied, my tone serious. “We need to find a way to defuse this situation, to keep them safe without resorting to violence.”

The idea of seeking peaceful resolution was far from easy in our situation, but I couldn’t let my darker impulses take over. “We’ll need to leave” I continued. “Find a way out but right now, is not the time ” I frown, I can’t leave this place until li-mu arrive….how do I delay this movement?

Jing nodded, her eyes reflecting determination. “We can’t allow harm to come to them or ourselves. We’ll find a way to make them understand.”

I look at Jing ” understand?”

” Yes ” she look up at me determine, she must have completely forget how naked she is right now ” we should talk to them ” I chuckle at her words

” My dear Jing ” I smile ” you can be naive sometime”
