“Your home.. every midnights”

Ethan eyes widened.

“What!!!”

“No way! Midnight of all hours of the day. I can lend you my computer for you to do whatever you wanna do at your place” Ethan said with his eyes widened.

“I can’t do it at my place, it’s prohibited and midnight is the only free time I have” Annabelle answered.

“Why can’t you just do it after school?”

“I have to get to my base first, really important”

“You can do it during lunch, the school own computers too”

“I’ll be reading during lunch” she answered.

Ethan was already going crazy. “You can’t just go to a guy’s place in the middle of the night! Do you even know what that means?”

“Your questions are getting too much, where do you stay?..”

“You think I’m going to tell you?” Ethan raised his brow.

“Hey you!!” A teacher called from a distance.

Ethan let out a breath of relief spotting the teacher. Finally! Annabelle stared at the teacher walking towards them without an angry look.

“Come with me Annabelle, you are in trouble” The teacher said.

The School chancellor stared at Annabelle with her finger below her chin. She is a slightly chubby woman, her aura is professional.

“Hurting your fellow students is a very big offence in the school” she said.

“I didn’t hurt them, I only taught them a lesson” Annabelle replied. If she had the thought of hurting them, then she’ll be using daggers not her hand.

“That is wrong Annabelle”

“They were the one who tried to bully me first. Teaching them a lesson is the right thing to do” She said.

“You were the one who started the fight” The chancellor said.

“Let me guess. You’ve discussed with Patricia before me. Then my words to you is just trash since you’ve believed what you want to believe” Annabelle voice came out sharp. For a moment the Chancellor felt like she was talking to a person older than 16. How did she know Patricia had made her complains before?

“Are you saying Patricia was the one who started the fight?”

“I don’t think my explanation is allowed. You’ve made up you mind already Mrs Laura” Annabelle said.

“That’s detention for a whole week” Mrs Laura said.

Liam just finished using the toilet. Just as he was about to head towards the cafe a hand dragged him in a office.

“What the..” his remaining words sank back in, seeing Mrs Charlotte naked before him. He was pinned against the wall.

“Hey handsome” She whispered drawing her face close to his face.

“I told you I can’t do this anymore. What if we get caught. I’ll be so fucked.. can you please stop all these?” Liam sighed in frustration. He tried to push her away but couldn’t.

“You should have thought of that when you came into my office and seduce me” she raised her brow.

“I was drunk, I drank something I shouldn’t. I told you that a million times” he said.

“I don’t care, all I want is your cock right now” She said grabbing him down there.

Liam got hard on.

Jennifer couldn’t help but think of why she sometimes act strange around Ethan.

“Hey!” A voice snapped her out of her thought. She turn back just to see Bastian and two other seniors.

“What do you want Bastian?” She asked rolling her eyes.

“I just need to talk to you. You’ve been giving me cold shoulders. Do you know what it means to date a senior in school?” Bastian said.

“Oh fuck off” She shook her head and made to walk pass him.

“C’mon Jenny. There a lot of benefits. Be my girl!!” He yelled after her.

Girls at the hall way couldn’t help but say hateful words at Jennifer. How could she reject one of the hottest guy in school?

“That was cool” A voice made her halt. She was wearing a hoodie with a cap placed backward on her head. She act like a tomboy.

“Selene?” Jennifer eyes widened. “It’s been two weeks girl, you’ve missed a lot!” She scolded.

“Woah! Wait! Don’t bite me. I gat a lot going on that’s why. Damn I love the way you rejected Bastian. That guy is a son of a bitch..”

“Words, we are in school” Jennifer said and continue walking.

“I need a favour”

“I’m not lending you my books” Jennifer answered her unspoken word.

“C’mon!” Selene groaned out. “Ah, right, I heard there’s a new girl in school. Where’s she?”

“You’ll know her yourself once you see her” Jennifer replied. She stopped when she found Ethan and Liam walking towards them. They were both chatting and laughing.

Jennifer heart skipped a beat as she watch him walk towards their direction in slow mo. His lips, nose and jaw was just too perfect.

“Ah, you still have crush on him. Why can’t you just tell Ethan?” Selene said.

“Shhh” Jennifer glared at her.

“Tell me what?” Ethan asked Selene.

“That…” Selene made to speak but Jennifer hit her chest using her elbow causing her to gasp.. “that I’m so glad you see you” Selene said with gritted teeth.

“Here comes our gangster” Liam said.

“I told you not to called that” Selene glared at him.

“You behave like… Ahhh” Liam yelped when Selene jumped and pulled his hair. “That hurts!”

Ethan chuckled while Jennifer stared at him with a smile on her face. She look away when he made to look at her. “I’ll be leaving early today” he said to her.

“Why? You’re not eating with us after school today?” She asked.

“Yeah, I have something to do” Ethan said. His main purpose was to avoid Annabelle.

Meanwhile Annabelle was in detention. She was staring at the teacher calmly. They call detention a punishment but to her it was like a staring contest. She focus her gaze on the teacher.

The teacher assigned to look after her started feeling weird with the way Annabelle was busy staring at her. She swallowed, wondering if this girl before her would ever blink. this would be her first time meeting a student which have such an aura. She could hardly look away from her.

She check the time and wish this can end Sooner. It seems this detention was made for her and not the student.

“It’s time, you can leave” She voiced out when she couldn’t take it anymore.

“It’s remaining five minutes. The Chancellor asked you to make sure I complete my time here”

Five more minutes feels like five hours to the teacher. She is never doing this with this student again

Finally it was time. Annabelle stood up from her seat causing the teacher to sigh deeply.

Annabelle found the school almost empty. She didn’t even get to see Ethan. He left without giving her his address. A car stopped before her and Scar wine down the window.

Jennifer saw this.

“She’s weird” she muttered with a small frown on her face.

(ETHAN’S APARTMENT)

Ethan walked into his home and found his mother preparing for work. She does night shift at the hospital sometimes.

“Hey mom” He greeted as he walk in.

“Hey sweetie, how was school today?” She asked.

“It was cool, you have a night shift huh?” He replied.

“Yes dear” She replied, Ethan’s face dropped hearing this. “Oh son, I know you don’t like me doing this night shifts but…

“Then why are you still doing it?” He asked.

“I want to provide everything you need. I can’t let my baby suffer” she replied.

“working at night is not good mom. I told you I can work after school but you said NO. You’re never home and you get sick almost every month” Ethan said.

“I’m sorry son. I love you so much, bye” She kissed his head lightly.

“Bye mom” Ethan mumbled since he’s still not okay with his mom leaving. Immediately the door closed, he felt lonely. Now he have to sleep alone tonight.

A loud clashing sound could be heard as Lord Smith threw a glass of wine in the wall.

“Who the fuck are you telling me now?” Lord Smith shot a glare at the men before him.

“They came unexpectedly and…”

BANG!!!!

Lord Smith shot the one that tried to speak.

“Get out there and get my goods, if anything goes wrong and I swear to kill every last one of you!” He roared at the remaining one.

“Yes sir” they all bow and left instantly.

Annabelle who was at the door walked further. She didn’t mind the blood on the floor and stepped on it. She was wearing a comfortable short black dress.

“Can I go with them?” She asked the man who was still fuming in anger.

“No stay, go to your room Annabelle” He said.

“I wanted ask something” She said and Lord Smith look at her.

“I said go to you room!!” He yelled at her but she didn’t flinch. Instead she bow lightly and left the room.

Getting out she met a tattooed guy staring at her with an amusing look on his face. His lips was rosy and he look so handsome with muscular body.

“Hey Anna” He greeted but Annabelle didn’t reply. She walked pass him instead.

“Are you really going to give me a cold shoulder after you haven’t seen me for two years?” The guy asked following her.

“We are not close, what do you expect.. A hug?” She asked, still walking.

“You’re looking good Anna, it’s nice to see you again”

“It’s Annabelle, Only Lord Smith can call me Anna. Watch you mouth Ricky. I don’t mind having a tongue for a coffee” she warned.

That’s what Ricky loves about her. She is just his type. He stop and watch her enter her room.

“Damn, she’s still the same” He muttered.

Annabelle reached for her bag and pulled out a file. It was a Ethan’s details in which she stole from the Chancellor’s office while they were discussing.

Her gaze land on what she was looking for and she smirked.

Ethan’s head was buried on his pillow. His black soft hair was messy giving him a cute look.

A strange sound woke him up from his deep sleep. He opened his lazy eyes and sit up slowly.

“Mom” He muttered, scanning his dark room. The cold breeze made him shudder. He didn’t close his window.

He stood up and went to close it. Yawning he made to go back to bed but his eyes met with someone standing close to him.

“Ahhhhhhh!!!” He jerk away with a scared look. Recognizing the person, he flared up. “What the hell! You almost gave me an heart attack!”

“Strange, you said you’ll help me but yet you decided to leave without telling me where you live”

“That’s because I don’t want you to come into my house in the middle of the night. That’s just creepy!” Ethan shot.

“Creepy is my job Ethan. I don’t have much time” Annabelle said looking around the room.

“Wait how did you get in?” Ethan asked with a frown.

“Through the window”

Ethan eyes widened. “Oh my Gawd! We are on the third floor. Did you climb over?”

“You are overreacting young man. Where is your computer?” She asked in a hoarse voice.

“Uhm, my laptop is over there” Ethan replied pointing his hand towards his system around the corner of his room. She walked towards the direction, grab a chair to sit.

Ethan sighed and look down just to notice he wasn’t putting on any shirt. “Shit!.. why didn’t you tell me I’m half naked?!” He snapped.

“Don’t flatter yourself, I’m not into those things” Annabelle replied staring at the close laptop before her.

Ethan chuckled, he grab and put one of his white shirt on. He turn back to Annabelle and found her staring at the laptop. Wait! She doesn’t know how to operate it?

Annabelle picked up the laptop and raised it to her face. She bagan to stare at it wondering how she is going to turn it on.

“Y…you haven’t seen one before?” Ethan asked walking close to her.

Annabelle raised her head to him. “Yes” she replied and return her focus on the laptop. Lord Smith is strict with her.. no gagets is used in the base. The only person allowed is Bianca.

Ethan frowned having so many questions diving into his head. Where did she come from?

“Here” he bend a little to grab the laptop. She shifted a little seeing they are too close.

She watch him turn it on.

“I can help you..”

“I want to do it myself” She cut in.

“But.. you can’t use it”

“Teach me” Annabelle said.

“Teach? That will take all a whole lot of time. I can help you dig any information this instance and you won’t ever have to come here in the middle of the night” Ethan pouted. Annabelle shot a glare at him and her went mute instantly.

“I wanna sleep.. we have classes to take tomorrow” he said.

Annabelle exhaled looking elsewhere. How is she going to find out about the woman in the picture. This might be really important to her.

Ethan was busy staring at her face. She has full roses lips, dark eyes and cute nose. Her long black hair make her look more unique… But what made her look so different. It felt like this girl before him has faced a lot.

“I’ll teach you” he finally said.

Annabelle’s face lit up for a sec but disappeared instantly.

“Only on one condition” he added.

“Better don’t say what would make me break your bones” Annabelle warned.

Ethan chuckled at her word revealing his dimple. “I wanna get to know you…”

Annabelle’s small phone beeped discontinuing their discussion. Her eyes widened.

“I have to go” she stood up instantly and head towards the window.

“Wait, can’t you wait till morning. It’s pretty dangerous out there” Ethan said standing up to but Annabelle already opened the window.

“Woah wait!!,..” Ethan exclaimed but the girl jumped out already. He looked out and found her on the floor standing already.

“Is she a spider or something?” Ethan muttered.

Annabelle spared him a glance and ran towards her black bike then zoom off.

She got to the base in 10 minutes. Luckily, Ethan’s home isn’t too far from her place.

She sneaked into her room without making any sound but then got a strange feeling. It was as if someone was watching her in her dark room.

A voice make her breath halt…

“Where are you coming from.. Annabelle?”
