He shouted with the long Cane in his hand and fear gripped my heart. What am I going to do now, is this what I’ll be going through every day of my life in this school?, my thoughts were interrupted when he said, “at the count of 2, whoever that is found without the bright future unique spot wear and refused to come out, will face double punishment I hastily walked out to the front and joined other the students that also came without spot wears.
“Get on your knees,” he commanded and every one of us knelt down.
He scanned all of us and his rolling eyeballs stopped when they landed on me, “oh buddy, good to see you here,” he smirked and advanced toward me. That was when I gave up and reckoned that “IT IS FINISHED”
“After flogging you, The trimming of the flowers and the football field will be your official every morning routine, show me your buttock,” he commanded and I declared in my heart that prosper has finally fallen inside a hot soup.
There were up to 12 people that pleaded guilty to this offense but among all of them, he chose to start with me, hmmm God of mercy please locate your child, “I prayed inwardly as I felt the steadied pounding of my heart,
He raised the long dangling Cane and aimed to give me the beating of my life, I closed my eyes in fear, That was how I agreed that the anticipation of beating is far deeper than the beating itself, something strange happened at that instinct,” Paul leave that for me, I will punish him personally, I slowly opened my eyes and saw who had the voice and it was the senior that saved me in the class the previous day,
“Strika,” Paul called and I got to know that his name was strika,
You’re are free to give him your own punishment once am done with mine,” he said and aimed to whomp me on the buttock but strika hacked the cane halfway with his left hand, strika was so maniacally fashioned in a way that he looked like a wrestler,
Even a child would know that Paul could never be matched to him.
“I am the head boy, therefore you ought to follow my order,”strika cautioned expressionlessly,
I am also the assistant head boy, therefore my order must be followed,” Paul yelled and tried to free his grip on the cane but discovered his hand (strika’s) was so tight in it that he couldn’t.
“I’m glad you mentioned something like assistance, even the assistant president of a country follows the order of the president, now you’re fearlessly questioning my order,
Paul if you don’t want us to create scenes that you’ll regret throughout your entire days on earth, just respect yourself and mind your business, “strika warned and slowly Freed his grip on the cane.
I could see horrifying looks and wrinkles of fear broadly displayed on Paul’s face.
I know you’re only doing this for your own selfish reason but trust me, your dream can only be made a reality in your nightmares, “Paul said and laughed mockingly, everyone knew he was trying to cover his shame.
“Watch and see then, hey get back to the line,”strika said and looked directly at me for once,
I quickly got up and strode back to the line,
“Everyone get back to your line,” Paul out of annoyance tried to dismiss other people that didn’t come with their spot wear too,
But strika wasn’t in for the idea, “no way, I’m the only one to determine what happens in this school, you have no right to make any decision right in my presence, No body should move an inch from there, “strika yelled in fury,
The drama went on till a figure gently passed, her walking style alone could transform even a demon into a saint in just a single blink, all eyes were suddenly on her as she walked inside the class, the most surprising thing was the fact that no one held her for late coming neither did anyone notice her school uniform, yes she was just wearing her normal school uniform but no one even said a word to her, then this question came inside my mind, who really is this girl by name Belinda, as the question struck my mind, something mysterious started to happen,
The whole surrounding spun unstoppably, my sight started to blur, I slowly fell backward and everything blacked out completely.

I slowly opened my eyes and found myself lying on the bed in a strange room, the whole place was so quiet and deserted, I noticed the slow movement of a ceiling fan and wondered where I was, I tried getting up but was withheld by a sharp pain on my wrist, that was when I discovered that a pile of drip was attached to me, where is this place? I asked myself in fear,
“That’s where your curiosity landed you,” I heard a monstrous voice and turned immediately,
I was dumbfounded by what I beheld,
A giant creature that looked so horrifying, his bloody long fangs gave me more reason to shiver in fear, he advanced toward me and brought his face closer to bite me with those deadly fangs, I screamed effortlessly as the fangs were just about to pierce through a side of my neck.
What’s the problem, a young lady that I assumed to be a nurse from her dressing hurried toward me, I observed the entire room and discovered I was still in the same room, what’s happening, could this be a nightmare or a what, Though the ceiling fan was spinning my body still felt so hot, and I could feel strands of sweat dripping out of my skin.
Who are you, “I asked the busty young lady who dressed like a nurse, her shirt buttons were buckled halfway and I could see the fair fresh melons on her chest but that wasn’t even my main problem then, I just needed to know where I was,
Don’t worry, handsome you’re in a safe place, “she said and wetted her lips seductively, it gave me more reasons to feel unsafe in the environment.
She placed the back tip of her hand on my forehead and remained that way for seconds,
Thank goodness, your temperature is finally stabilized, your body was as cold as Ice when you were brought here.” the lady explained.

I tried every means to prevent her from k*ssing me but it was as if I was firmly gummed to the bed,
As her lips were just to clasp on mine, she transformed into the same horrifying figure I saw earlier and opened her mouth so wide that it could swallow up my head,

He forcefully brought those bloody fangs to bite me and I shrieked to the top of my voice. what’s the problem, the same nurse dashed in and hurried toward me with a medical kit in her hand, I couldn’t comprehend a bit of what was really humming,
Oh no!, The drip is finished and your blood is starting to drain out,” she clamored and hurried to remove the drip attachment on my wrist but I declined “noooo, don’t touch me, I can remove it myself, “I yelled insanely and forcefully yanked off the drip attachment, yes the pain was indeed a severe one but the fear of what I saw earlier took absolute control of me,
“Hello, this is nurse Lisa calling from room 5, the patient here is a lunatic and needs urgent psychiatrist attention, please back up immediately before we record fatal damages, ”
I heard the lady speaking to the emergency land phone and another flame of fear was kindled in me, she was just leaking information that I’m running mad, hmm I better get out of this miserable place Before another eyesore starts to unfold, I scurried toward the exit and forcefully opened the door and to my greatest surprise, I saw able-bodied security operatives already waiting at the door post and I could see a pair of handcuff and a shiny chain with one of them, they were 5 in number,
Vacate my way, I’m not mad, “I angrily fired at them,
Now I know you’re literally and mentally disordered, get him”one of them said and they all hurried toward me,
Let go of me, I’m not mad, I screamed and struggled as they got hold of me, slid the handcuff to my wrists, and also chained my legs.
Leave me alone, put me down, “I continued screaming and jerking as I was being carried away by one of them on the shoulder
“Wait wait, “a man called as he strode toward us,
“what is wrong with him?”
“Mr principal, this boy needs psychiatrist attention, one of them said to the man I was yet to see his face but the voice sounded familiar,
“wait, Mr principal? Is that not the principal of bright future academy?” I made an attempt of turning to see him but the man that was carrying me fastened his grip on me, so tight that I couldn’t move a bit,
“Put him down first,” the yet-to-be-identified man commanded and I was brought down, but still couldn’t move any part of my body as the chain was still on my leg and the handcuff was also still on my wrists.
I looked at the man that told them to put me down and realized it was the principal of the bright future academy,
The environment looked familiar, wait, So I’m still in school? “I pondered confusedly, how come?
How did I end up in that strange room of horror?
How did you get to know that this boy has a mental illness, where is the proof? “The principal asked and I immediately recovered from the thoughtful journey,
Sir, Nurse Lisa gave us the information,” one of the security operatives elucidated,
Yes, sir, I’m a witness, “I heard a female voice and looked up only to see the one they called nurse Lisa.
What really happened?,” The principal asked with great concern,
After the boy was unconsciously brought to the school emergency department, I fixed a drip on him to cool down his running temperature, I received a call that another student needed urgent attention, so I hurried to attend to the person, after everything, I went back to check on this boy, as I opened the door, I found him screaming and struggling, what is the matter, I asked and went closer to know what was happening but he told me not to touch him, my greatest fear was that this boy forcefully removed the drip attachment by himself, you can confirm that with this bleeding.
I checked my hand immediately after the nurse said that and discovered my hand was seriously bleeding.
“That’s your imagination right?” A beautiful voice said and I looked up again and beheld the beautiful one,
What is she doing here, “I questioned inwardly,
” Lucy, the break period is yet to begin, but I’m not going to send you away because I know you as a smart child, so open up to me, “the principal Said,
“Sir, the boy is not mad, it was a setup somewhere. Just tell them to free him, I will tell you everything later, “she said to the principal and he looked her in the eyes and maintained the gaze for some time.
“Free him,” the principal ordered and I became extremely surprised, how come? A principal following student’s instructions, this is really worth a though twice,”I said inwardly as I watched one of the security operatives unclamp the handcuff, removed it from my wrists, and also unlocked the padlock that was used to lock the chain on my legs,
I looked at the nurse name Lisa and could see a display of unpleasantness all over her face. “Prosper let’s go and take care of the bleeding,” Lucy said and held me by the wrist,(by then she’d already covered the bleeding spot with her handkerchief,
I Followed her sheepishly and was totally oblivious of what was really happening,
“Lucy what’s going on,” I asked as she headed toward an entrance that had a bold caption, bright future unique garden.
“Prosper, why are you so addicted to asking questions, do you know that your frequent questions were the reason behind all these occurrences,” she said but I didn’t even get a bit of what she said,
How?,” I asked but she just replied me with the snubby slang “never mind” you know why I called it snubby slang?
Those are the words that most snubs use, for instance: You offer them a lift>never mind,
You offer to take them out>never mind
You offer to pay their bill> never mind, and so on, that’s why I called it snubby slang. It’s very hard to find a snub that is void of it.
We were welcomed by beautiful songs of different species of birds and the inviting aromatic & savory scents that oozed out of the adorable flowers of varied colors.
She paused on track and gazed directly into my eyes, I could see the reflection of roses in her beautiful bright balls.
“Why did you bring me here,” I asked after moments of staring into each other’s eyes,
“I know a flower that has 100 percent guarantee in treatment of bleeding,” she elucidated,
“What’s the name?” I asked,
“It’s called yarrow, a certain Greek man used it to treat his soldier’s bleeding during a war that occurred over 1200 bc.
It wasn’t long before she located the flower, cut two leaves from the little tree, and chewed the leaves by placing them on his left palm and rubbing with the other palm till they began to foam, she then removed the kerchief that covered the bleeding spot and used the chewed foaming leaves to cleaned the bleeding spot. The bleeding ceased instantly.
” Wow, thanks,” I muttered in relief.
“let’s go see the pool, she pointed at the swimming pool that was about 5 ft away from us,
I wanted to go have a look but remembered school and peeked at my wrist watch, it was 5 minutes to 11 am,
So I have missed several lectures, hmmm I better hurry back to the class.
“Please we need to go back to class by now, I haven’t had a single lecture today, “I said to her and she paused again and said,
“Do you think I would bring you here if there was any lecture going on in the class?
” But how come, this is almost 11 am, “I asked confusedly,
” Do you trust me at all? “She asked and searched for my eyes with those bright ones she’d got,
“Let’s go,” I said to avoid the question she asked, so we went closer to the pool.
I could see our images clearly displayed on the water, as the cool breeze blew our uniform from this side to another, the feeling was so indescribably awesome that I wished I could remain there forever.
“Prosper,” Her voice brought me back to reality,
“Yes,” I answered,
“There’s something I have been trying to tell you,” she said and I could see her mood suddenly saddened,
“What’s that?” I asked inquisitively,
“I…., “She meant to say but another voice jabbed in from behind,
“Prosper Maxwell,” senior strika the school head boy is waiting for you at the cafeteria, he said you should be there before I finish delivering this message and failure to do so will attract charges.
That was when I remembered I was yet to give Belinda the envelope he gave me the previous day, I touched my pockets and didn’t feel it in any of them, that was when I remembered I forgot It in my formal school uniform, oh no, I just fell into another hotter soup.
