She slammed the door with shaking fingers. She squeeze the door knob as she felt paranoid.
” Looking for something Tanya ” Cole materialize behind her.
Tanya snap her head towards him and glare at him.
” Bird of the same feather ” she gritted .
” Am sure you’re the one who convince him to go after that pauper of a maid ” she assured tightly. Blaming him,even when common sense tell her that this is least his fault. But that’s one aspect of Tanya always blaming the innocent ones for her ordeal.
Cole was startled and he stare at her with utter surprise and bewilderment . And then he seem to snap out of the startled moment and chuckled mockingly.
” You’re so funny Tanya. You should quit been a businessman woman and go into comedy ” Cole tease softly.
Tanya glare at him once more.
” And stop glaring at me .Am not the one who cheated” he added mockingly.
” Jerk, do you think you’re smart or something” she blurted out angrily.
” Do I look cute with this hair style? ” he asked jokingly. Obviously taunting her by making mockery of her situation.
‘ She need to be thought a lesson ‘ he thought.
She glare at him again with clenched fist. She felt like strangling him. She as never liked him from the start when Darrell was still much in love with her. She always found him infustrating because he had the tendency to be annoying due to his talkative and teasing nature. Darrell was like him,but had much talkative and teasing nature than he would’ve. She had complained about him to Darrell. But Darrell never pay any attention and never saw any wrong in him.
Cole knew she never liked him. But he continue to be more annoying. He hate Tanya from the start and finds pleasure in annoying and taunting her. He had wonder what his friend saw in her. She was full of pride and always throwing insult at anybody and she never care to spare Darrell with her lashing tongue too.
Always complaining for petty things,demanding,nagging and so on Tanya was like all his past girlfriends. When Darrell was crazy about her he had try to talk some sense into him to watch out for her. But Darrell was much in love with her that he’s always tolerating her bad attitude and didn’t abide by his warning,not until he found her in bed with someone. That’s what put his senses back together. He’s happy that Darrell as finally moved on and now loves someone else. He just hope Natalie will not turn out to be like her. But what amuses him is that Tanya wants him back after what she did to him. ‘The woman is a clown ‘ he thought.
” You’re good at this glaring thing. Do you perhaps won a glaring context ” he asked tauntingly.
” Fool ” she mutter and angrily walked away. Her high heels make a little loud stuffing noise as she angrily walked away.
” Crazy woman. She belong to be the mental assylum” he said with a wide grin before opening the door.
He met Natalie feeding Darrell the bacon she had prepare.
” Where you speaking to someone?” Darrell asked. Both him and Natalie had heard him speaking to someone. But their conversation wasn’t clear enough. They could only hear whispering sounds.
” Your crazy ex ” he replied without pausing to think. His eyes move to Natalie and the weary look on her face made him regret his rash words. But they were much too late. He wasn’t certain on what his going through her mind now. He don’t wanna create doubt in her mind. He would’ve present his words were enough,he thought.
Darrell and Natalie were both lost in their passion that they didn’t notice Tanya opening the door.
” I hope haven’t said anything wrong ” he asked Natalie. She saw he was staring at her and quickly flick a smile.
” It’s alright. You said nothing wrong ” she assured and Cole sigh in relief.
Natalie had promise herself that she won’t let anyone tamper with her new realtionsh¡p. She met it she would stick with Darrell and they’ll both fight this out. But she wonder how long they’ll both fight. We they ever like her ,they made it clear that she’s a nobody .There was tention knotting in the pit of her stomach making her fussy.
Cole in the other hand stop chewing the food that was in his mouth. He acknowledge that Tanya will be the biggest hindrance on his new found realtionsh¡p. But he won’t let her,he assured himself. They’re other hindrance in his ways and that is of his family.
All this hurdles will be a roadblock in the future. He’ll have to find a way around it or demolish the roadblocks. Because one things is certain ,he loves Natalie and no matter what the world say about them. No one will put asunder to what he intend to share with the love of his life. His love story as just began he’ll write the chapter to the end.
” I don’t understand why Tanya or the others can’t get it that am in love with someone else ” he said.
Natalie took his hands in hers and she flick in a smile. He could tell it was a fake smile . He notice the tention in her as she touched him.
” We’re gonna fight this war together ” she said soothingly. Trying to his her tention.
” You’re tense my love. Please don’t be. All I needed was for you to stick with me. My love ,am happy you’ve finally except me. You shouldn’t worry about Tanya,I assure you she can’t do anything, I won’t let her. I’m your lover now and I’ll always be there to support and protect you” he said as he raised one of his palm and tough her jaw. Somehow his words softing the tention she felt within and felt her heart beating against her chest as Darrell stare at her with love sparkling in those sky blue eyes of his. She couldn’t resist a blush and her head went downwards as she felt shy.
” Shy ” he tease softly and k-ss the tender heart of her palm.
” I love you Natalie” Darrell raise her chin up.
” You’ve said that before ” she said with a smile.
” I wish I could just keep saying that. Oh Natalie you don’t know how much I love you. You’ve been trouble since I met you. I can’t get my heads off you. Gosh! Words can’t explain how I feel about you. I can’t wait to show you how much I love you” he said ,feeling grateful that she return the feeling.
She chuckled.
” You’ve already prove to me how much I’d mean to you when you put your life at risk to save mine ” she smiled.
” But is not enough ” he replied.
” That’s more than enough for me. It’s enough Darrell the billionaire ” she said and laughed.
” Uh ” Cole cough gently.
Cole and Natalie had both forgotten about him as they were carried away with their love.
” I think I need to find my own Natalie ” Cole said playfully.
Darrell chuckled and Natalie smiled.
” Why not finding your own Tanya ” Darrell tease.
” Whoa ! that means I’ll have to keep banging my head in the wall just tolerate her. That woman is crazy and she’ll make me go crazy ” Cole said.
Darrell burst into a loud laughter and Natalie couldn’t resist laughing this time.
She found Cole funny. Darrell is also like him. They both have the same qualities. ‘ Two of a kind ‘ she wonder. She was happy that Cole had liked her even after knowing she was just a common maid who his best friend fell in love with. They were really two of a kind.
She was blazing herself with the last thought when someone came into the room.
It was a young man like Darrell and Cole,she wonder who he was.
” oh Darrell I saw the news. I just came back from India and then saw the news on the TV ” he said as he came closer to Darrell.
” Buddy ,he’s fine now ” Cole said.
” Thank goodness, you’re fine ” he said.
Natalie guess he also Darrell and Cole friend.
” This is Natalie ” Darrell touch Natalie palms. ” And Natalie this Ryan is also a friend of mine ”
” Huh,uh ” he just sigh.
With the look on his face,Natalie realize he didn’t like her and with the way he also quickly rolled his eyes.
” The maid you risk your life for. Anyway am not interesting in knowing her ” Ryan said and Darrell frowned immediately.
” Ryan don’t disrespect the woman I love in front of me”
” Disrespect ” he appear amuse
“does she have any image I should respect her for ?”
” Get out ” he said softly,but those words were loaded. He was very furious now as he saw the sad facial expression on Natalie’s face.
” You are asking me to leave just because of her ” Ryan wonder in shock.
” I mean it Ryan. I would spare anyone who disrespect my lady. Not even a long time friend. Never disrespect her again or you’ll get more than just leave” Darrell warn sternly.
Ryan couldn’t take the Insult so he storm away.
” Please don’t take his words seriously” he said lifting her chin up and he saw tears pour gently from her eyes and Darrell heart ached.

” Am here ma’am ” a man wearing khaki sleeves and a black trouser materialize behind Tanya.
Tanya was in the swimming pool at the back of her house with bikinis on and a wine glass on her hand sipping for it. She brushed a tendril back between her ears and she turn to the man.
They was a evil grin on her face.

” I’ll pay fully well after this job ” Tanya assured .
” In the main while. Take this ” she reach for a briefcase that was on a table.
The man took it and open the briefcase.
” This is five million ” she began.
” I’ll pay you the rest when you complete the job ” she said.
” As soon as you can give me the feedbacks ,you’ll get a very huge payment”
” I promise ma’am I wouldn’t disappoint you ” the man said with a reassuring smile.
