“Are you okay?”he asked me in the sweetest of voice ever
I stared. No Barry. I’m not okay. I’m in love with you.

I rushed to my room immediately i left the kitchen. I’m going crazy..real crazy
“Hello Ella!” I said immediately she picked
“Hey bestie..”
“Can you come to my house please?”
“Why?”
“Just shut up and come!”I hang up
“Violet..”I heard Barry coming upstairs calling me. I rushed to my bathroom and closed the door. I didn’t want to see him
I can’t be falling for him. No no.
“Violet..”he comes into my room
“I’m at the toilet..I’m..”
“Whays wrong with you..what were you thinking about..why did you walk out on me?”
“Barry..I..”
I come outside the bathroom. He grabbed my hand and stared at it, then sigh
“Thank God you are fine..”he said
I stare at him and when his eyes met mine. I smile
“What?”
“Nothing..”
“But you’re smiling..”
“I just thought about Victor..”I gave the most believable excuse and of course he did believe me
“Oh..”
“He used to behave like this when I’m hurt”I said and he gave me an encouraging smile
“You can stay here. I’ll make your food”
“No I can still help”
“That’s fine” he said and pat my back. He turn to go and turn back.
“..and that book..”he said pointing to KRADIE BLACK book
“Don’t you think. You are too young to be reading that?”
“Oh come on..are you mocking me?”
“No..lol..no..it’s just that..teenagers misunderstands it a lot..and it all ends in Lust or s€×. You have to be wise to read KRADIE BLACK books”
“I promise I’m wise enough to realize what I’m doing and reading”
“You sure?”
“Come on..I’m married!”I whined
He chuckled
“Anyways be careful..”he said
“..and especially around that boy.. at your party..what…is..,”
“Blake..”I replied
“Yeah..Blake.. I don’t like him..”

“Okay?”I nod and he left my room

“Hey!”I opened the door immediately i heard the bell
“Hi “she greeted back “..am that sister of that girl that thinks teen wolf is not cool..”she said
I chuckled
“Come in..”I said as she came in,side
“Nice apartment. It’s been long I came here..I mean my last was on your wedding day..”
“Yeah..thanks for coming to our wedding”I smile
“You weren’t even smiling on your wedding and now you’re so happy that I’m mentioning it now..”
“Things have changed..”I murmured
“Hmmn…”she said giving me a face that she heard what I said
“What would you like to eat?”I asked her
“We could get popcorn and watch teen wolf together if you don’t mind”
“Lol..no I don’t..”
“Have you watched the recent episode..”
“No..”
“Violet..”the door opened as Lesley and i turn to look
“Are you okay?”Ella entered holding my shoulder
“Yeah of course she is..”Lesley replied
“You called me..”

“Yeah just wanted to discuss something..but we’ll do that later..”
“Hah! I’m relieved. I rushed down here when I saw your call”
“No wonder you’re still on hairnet”Lesley joked
“Oh. My bad”. We laughed

After Lesley left

“You really sound worried in phone..what did you want to say?”
I closed the door tightly to ensure no one is eaves dropping. I rested my back on the door
“I’m in love with Barry”I whispered
“Ah!”she scre-med.
Whether happy or worried. I don’t know which.
I ran to her to cover her mouth up
“Are you kidding me..?”she whispered back
“No..I’m not..I really like him”I said again
“Are you sure about this..?”
“Yeah..yes..I mean your book confirmed it all”
“Oh..my book..it worked for my sister..so it’s not lying..but..I can’t believe this..you hate him..”
“That was then Ella..”
“So you don’t want a divorce now?”
“No..I don’t..”
“You really want to be married to him..like you guys should live happily”
“Yes I Really do..”
“Oh my God..is it a one sided stuff..”
“I thought as much..but I think he really likes me too”
“You sure?”
“Yeah.. according to the rules..he does and he told me he likes someone and can’t say it..so I’ve been watching him..and I think it’s me..he’s just afraid I might reject him”
“Aww..”she sobbed
“What?”
“My best friend is happily married.. Finally!”
I smile. I’m glad she really supports me liking Barry
“What are you gonna do about it. How are you guys gonna confess about your feelings to each other..”
“The same way he’s doing to me..I’ll use baits”
“Trap..”
“A rom-ntic one..to make him know I’ve changed and i really like him”
“Okay stop whispering now..my mouth aches”Ella came back to her tone
“Oh sorry” I said and chuckle. She stared at me for some while and then smiled
“You don’t care about the age difference anymore..?”she asked
“Yes..age is just a number right?”
“Right..”
“As far my partner is not maltreating me..I’m okay right?”
“Right👍”
“Are you happy about this?”
“Sure..”
“And you sure we won’t have a problem..”

I had always imagined to have the best love story. Not until Mum and Dad got me married to Barry. I was angry and depressed. I was 17 and I was married to a 26½ grown man.(my brother’s best friend) I had never wished my life was like that
So I took a step by deciding to Divorce my husband once we get married and luckily for me he played along
He told me to play nice since we were getting a divorce and I decided to also go wild by having a party..since I was having a divorce soon. I wanted to show all my classmates that I was not a puppet in this marriage
Maybe I did it the wrong way. Even by letting Blake in,side of me
I apologized after so much talk from my best friend.
If it was my brother. I would never have done all this
I decided to reconsider
I apologized for my characters and started becoming nice
And..I fell for my husband
I fell in love with him..
I don’t want a divorce any longer
I know he likes me
But I’m going to make him confess himself.
I’ll use baits for him..he won’t be able to hide his feelings any longer.
He would get to live me and we would just be like R&B

*Knock knock*
The door opened slowly
“Violet? What are you doing at this time of the night?”he asked
“I cannot sleep alone in my room cam I join you?”
He cleared the sleep on his face first.
“Come in..”he said as I gripped my blanked tighter and I entered into his room. I st in his bed and looked around
“What did you say?”he asked again
” I’m finding it hærd to sleep can I sleep here?”I asked again
He kept quiet for some while
“It’s okay..if you don’t want me to..”
“No..that’s fine..since you’re scared..it’s okay..”
“Thanks..”I manage a smile and gently lie on the edge of the bed with my blanket close to my chest. I was sleeping in Barry’s room. So I wore a night gown. I couldn’t Sleep unclad in front if him
At least not yet!
Suddenly i feel his hand on mine
“Mind if I..?”he asked. I turn around to face him and nod a bit as he held my small hand in his.
Me facing Barry in the same bed. With him holding my hands. All in the name of. I’m scared sleeping alone because of some bad dream. Great Violet
He kept staring at me as I look down at both our hands. Tingles ran through my vein. And I was already feeling cold.
I pretended to close my eyes as I couldn’t stare into his own eyes too.
But I could still feel him staring at me as he squeezed my hand in his mumbling some words
I just wanted to know how it feels when couple sleep on the same bed!

I open my eyes as I felt locked in someone’s arm. It was like a father to daughter wrap.
I wasn’t too shocked to see myself in Barry’s hold. Infact I was happy we slept like this through out the night. He held me so close like I was gonna die in 3min. I clod feel his breath on my forehead and I slightly look up at him. He was still sleeping. He slept well and even smiled in his sleep. Was he happy I came to his room yesternight. I’m sure he was!
His hand was on my wa-ist and i wished someone could take a picture of us.
Today was a Sunday
Barry doesn’t go to church since we got married. That’s two months ago. Was he an unbeliever? I loved going to church. I love bring a Christian. Although I wasn’t very devoted. The main reason I go to church was because if the new guys that come almost every Sunday.. Ella and I like to look for people who we would crush on. And those who would talk to us. I was the leader of the choristers. But was told to retire when I got married. I was always forced to go to the adult church. But why would I? Among those Big women and men?
Barry stays at home on Sunday. That was the only day he was very free. His Saturday can be occupied by work sometimes. But his Sunday is his rest day
I am supposed to have stood up from his bed but the warmth coming from my husband is not making me go.
I never knew this was how marriage was sweet. In the hands of the man I loved.
He shifted in his sleep and I shut my eyes immediately. He mustn’t know I have been awake.
I feel his hand move away from my wa-ist and my heart frown.
I feel him very close to me as he pushed my hair to the side of my ear and whispered ‘Good morning’

I gro-n as I pretended to just wake up and I turn to the other side of his bed. Je stood up from his bed and opened the curtains
I gro-n again as the light pierce into my eyes
“Good morning!”he greeted again
“Good morning Barry..”I greeted back..hoping my morning breath doesn’t make all the wh0le room stink.
“Are you alright? How was your night?”
“Sweet..”I smile and he smile too
“Mind to tell me what scared you yesterday that you couldn’t sleep”
Oh I forgot totally. I had made up a story totally yesterday but he didn’t ask. Know I’ve forgotten whatever I made up and hurt of what you say
“Huh..”he raised his brow..waiting for a reply
“Err.. actually..Teen wolf….”
“Okay..you’re grounded”he said in a command tone
“Oh my God!”I gaped and covered my mouth with my palm
“Like grounded..I’m not leaving the house..?”
“No..grounded from watching Teen wolf!”
“Christ!”I shouted. “No..no.. Barry ground me from something else”
“You have bad dreams..cause of teen wolf..you can’t sleep because you’re scared..and you still want to continue watching it?”
Gosh I gave the darnedest excuse!
“Owk..”I say silently as I pick my blanket . I didn’t even get to use it. Just his warmth kept me.
He went to the bathroom and I stand up slowly from his bed
What a night!
I move out of his room and made way to my room.
I entered my room and locked the door as I sigh. Then the song entered my mind
“I used to think that I will never fall in love and then you showed me that you could be everything I want. I give my heart away…”

“Are you sure about this?”Ella asked me as we approach the church
“Yeah..I’m married after all”
“Are you sure..you don’t wanna see the new guy at church today..”
“I’m a devoted wife”I smirked
“Okay then..”she mumbled
“Welcome”the usher said as I and Ella entered into the church .
“Teens church is right this way!”She said as Ella made way to go.
“And you?”she asked.I smile
“No..I’m supposed to be here!”I pointed to the adult church
“I’m sorry it’s only for..”
I raised up my hands as my ring glistened in her eyes. Ever since I got married I never wire my ring. But today when I saw it in my room. I was so glad to put it on. That was the evidence of my marriage. Immediately I wiggled my hand with a smile for her she allowed me in with that amused look on her face.
Ella also smiled and leaves
I entered into the main church and move to an empty seat at the front?

All the wh0le parent and young couple stare at me till I got to the front.
“Welcome Mrs Brown”the pastor said to me with a wink. I smiled
Of course he was there at our wedding and have been preaching to Me each time that the adult church was from me and not the teen church any longer.

“You’re here at the right time Violet..we were just about to start the duties of a wife in a Christian home”

It was closing hour. I still feel some women staring at me and some of them gossiping loudly. Some like the fact that I was married at this age and was handling it with maturity and some didn’t like it at all
Ella ran into the adult church and came to me
“What?”I asked her
“Er.wait..”she said trying to regain herself as she was already p-nting like Barbie’s fig in princess charm school, although she was p-nting like a hungry dog but Barbie’s dog never p-nted like that..it was cute the way it was and bark and p-nt with so much love you..I hate that Barbie’s principal..and her daughter… especially when she…okay I’m going out of line..let’s come back..
“What’s wrong?”I asked her again
“Blake is in our church”she said
Although my heart skipped but i still had the courage to say
“So?..”
“You’re not worried?”she asked
“Why?I asked her again
“His friends are here with him”she said
“So?”I asked her again and she glared at me.
“Can we go home now?”I asked her
She nodded dumbly without answering
We move out of the adult church and I saw most of my teenage friends waiting outside..Blake was among..
As I move out he double crossed me
“You need to give me explanation of what the hell happened at your party?”he yelled
“What was that?”I asked him pretending to forget
“You slapping and embarrassing me..”
“Oh that!..what’s wrong with that?”
“I need explanation!”he shouted and my heart jump a bit but I didn’t let it show
“You crossed you limit with my husband and I..you deserved to be scolded”I said
He gave me am evil glare
“Do you know who I am?”he moved closer to me.
I laughed with sarcasm
“Hey..”I called one of the adult ushers and he walked to me
“Get these teenagers to their class..before they are being scolded..they should learn to respect married women..what are they even doing in the adult church anyway?”I asked him
“Anyway.. clear all of them off..Shoo..shoo”I used my hand to push them slightly and the usher took care of the rest.
Ella jerked me as we both smile.

“Barry!”I scre-med immediately i got home
“Hey Vee!”he answered dropping the TV remote he took
“Happy Sunday!How was church?”
“Aw!Great!”I said and move to where he sat facing him and smiling wide
“What?”he raised his brows too trying not to smile. I smile eider again and this time he smiled too
“What?..”he said again
I raised up my hands at him to show him the ring. He stared in shock at my fingers
“Are you serious..you finally wore it!”
“Yeah..and I even attended adult class at church today”
“Are you kidding me?”he chuckle
I nodded my head negatively
“Wait what’s up with you?”he sits up and asked
“Nothing..just wanna feel like a wife before we get divorced”I said. He smile wide and i was afraid he’s gonna tear his mouth
“That’s crazingly great…”he said
I laughed and he laughs too
“Are you sure they didn’t make you feel inferior?”
“No..not really..”
“Hmm..ok then.. I made you taramasalata”
“Awwn..it’s been long I hate that”
“Thank God I made the right thing!’he smirked and I smile
“Okay I’ll get it for you”he stood up and moved to the kitchen. I smile

A marriage is supposed to be this way.
He brought my food as I inhaled the sweet smell of it
“Hmmn..nice!”I said as he handed it over to me and i started eating
“Barry?”I called him
“Yes?”he removed his gaze from the TV
“Blake..”
He sat up to listen to me well
“Blake..I saw him at my church today…and I shush him up when..he asked me about the slap at the party..”
“That’s good..”
“.. but I’m scared..Barry..he can be very dangerous..I don’t know what he’s planning to do next..he might just ruin my reputation”
Barry held my hand
“Don’t be scared okay..you did the right thing..and to Blake..I’ll handle him okay?”he assured me.
I nod with a depressed look
“Do you trust me?”he asked again
“Sure!”I nid again with a smile
Barry would protect me.
I’m sure of that.
“Did mum call you?”he asked me
“Whose..?”
“Yours!”
“I saw her missed call at church.. I couldn’t pick it”
“Okay..she might still call you..but she wants you to come over to her place tomorrow”
“Oh really? Why?”
“She didn’t tell me!”
“Owk!”
Mum calling? This better be good!
He fixed his gaze back in the TV as I ate my food.
“Barry..”I called again..he turn to look at me
“Yes?”he answered
I changed my expression to that of a crying puppy
“There’s a new episode of Teen wolf..”
“‘Noooo'”he scre-med!
