CHAPTER 62
~
The crown prince stared at his hand in Rosanne’s hand.
Has he ever been touched this way… Of course not.
“You’re in control and will always be in control, Rosanne repeated slowly with a smile. And she felt as the hotness and heat in his body started to die. He was consuming his anger.
She beamed.

“Just remember your Highness. You are always in control.” Rosanne added taking his other hand and clasping them in hers.
They both remained like that for a while until Rosanne noticed something in the sky.

“The lanterns has been lit.” She exclaimed pulling her hand from the crown prince’s hand and he suddenly felt empty again.
“And has been released to the sky” Rosanne added with a sad jump. “Too bad we didn’t get to light up any lantern.”

The crown prince watched as hundreds of lanterns were released up to the sky, floating in mid air and creating a beautiful bright night.

“Why do people do this?” Asked the crown prince.
“One, it is always done in a festival, two, to beautify the night, and three most importantly to make wishes, as people release the lanterns they make wishes and send the lantern to the sky for their wish to be answered” Rosanne explained.
The crown prince said nothing.

“And thanks to you we didn’t get to lit up any lantern and that means no wishes for us” Rosanne sighed. “But… We can always wish off other’s wishes. Very well then, close your eyes and make a wish your Highness.” she smiled.

“What?” The crown prince was confused.
“Close your eyes and make a wish, wish for something you really want” Rosanne smiled, clasping her hand together, underneath her chin.
The crown prince remained dumbfounded staring at Rosanne.

Rosanne sighed. “Here, I’ll help.”
The crown prince remained calm as he watched her grab both of his hand. “I understand you wouldn’t know what a wish is.”

“I am not dumb I do know what a wish is.” The crown prince barked.
“Then I suppose you know not how to wish on something.” Rosanne smiled, pulling up his hand and clasping them together.
“There… You clasp your hand together and shut your eyes, like this.” Rosanne explained before shutting her eyes.
She opened them back up to see the crown prince’s eyes not closed but staring down at her.

“Fine, a wish with both eyes open still works.” Rosanne shrugged.
“This only happen once your Highness, so in your heart, wish for something you really want.”
Just as the words left Rosanne’s mouth a lantern levitating by, bumped into a tree and crashed onto the small river in front of the crown prince.
“Whoa.” Rosanne gasped. “Such good omen. This is our chance to wish on it and send it Back to the sky. And then head back to the castle.”
~
Everyone left the castle after lightening up the lanterns and to their various homes or part of the village to enjoy the festive night.

“They are still not back yet?” The queen asked Cornelius.
“They’re not” Cornelius shook his head.
“I am fe-

“Your Highness.” Rosanne’s voice interrupted the Queen.

The Queen suddenly paused and turned around to see Rosanne and her son standing in the bright passageway.
“Rose.” The queen exclaimed. “Where have you both been all night.”
The crown prince remained quiet.
“Forgive me your royal Highness, the crown prince wanted to explore Orrander and as his servant, it is possible i make that happen” Rosanne explained.
“Explore Orrander?” The Queen repeated.
“Yes your Highness”.

She glanced at her son. To see him quiet and more calm.
“Very well then, esc-rt him back to his room, tomorrow you both leave for sylph.” The Queen stated before descending back do her room.

“Well your Highness. I’ll lead the way” Rosanne smiled at the prince, who immediately started walking as Rosanne did.

They both got to the room the crown prince would be staying for the day and Rosanne bowed.
“I should take my leave now, and will see you tomorrow morning your Highness.” She stated.

“Goodnight your Highness, remember you are in control.” Rosanne smiled and with one last look at the crown prince, she left the room.
~
“Thanks to you I had fun tonight.” Arya smiled at Martha.
“I’m glad you did your High-I mean Arya.” Martha smiled back.
“I do like it here because of you. Maybe I’ll visit Orrander more often.” Arya suggested.
“You’re always welcome.” Martha shrugged.
“The Hayest festival made this night, lightening up the lanterns and making a wish, it was lovely. I wish to relive it” Arya sighed.
“It was one moment one can’t truly forget.” Martha added.

“And what did you wish for?” Asked Arya.
“Wishes are supposed to be secrets.” Martha eyed her.
“Come on tell me, your wish is safe with me. Please. I can tell you mine.” Arya smiled.

Martha sighed. “I wished for Garam to like me”
“I knew it.”
“What?”
“I wish that wish wouldn’t come true, right now I wish whoever is granting wishes never grant your wish Martha, I wish Garam will never like you.”
“What?” Martha was stunned.

“Garam is not for you and will never be for you, I wish you would find someone else who is good enough for you, better than Garam and loves you for you” Arya ranted.
“Well thank you” Martha was speechless.
“It’s all you deserve, good night Martha, till whenever.” Arya smiled.
“Goodnight.”
“I have to run along before my mother comes yelling” Arya giggled before walking away.

Martha started her journey home and with multiple sighs pondering on what Arya said about the wishes and Garam, she suddenly wished the ground would open up and swallow her every being.
Why does things never go her way. Staring at the soil under the night sky, and not watching her way, Martha suddenly bumped into someone. Causing the person to fall down flat on the floor.

Martha gasped, seeing who the person was.

“Rosanne… I am so sorry.” she apologized.
“just my luck.” Rosanne giggled.
