Cassandra’s Pov:
Anger burnt through me as I saw them smiling at each other.
I hate Amelia yes….
But I so much detest this stupid new girl.
I walked towards them in annoyance.
“Hey! What the fvck are you doing with my Jake?” I yelled at her as I pushed her roughly.
She almost fell on her butt but Jake caught her.
And that angered me the more.
A scene was already created.
Stupid nosy students… They can’t just stay away!
She bowed her head in guilty.
“What the heck is wrong with you Cassandra?” Jake raised his voice at me for the very first time in public.
I gulped hærd as I looked around.
The students were already taking pictures and videos in their cell phone.
I felt so humiliated.
Jake was holding the useless girl by her neck.
I felt so ashamed.
Jake choose that bastard over me…. 😡
“No Jake! I should be asking you what is wrong with you? What are you doing with this bitch here?” I said as tears rolled down the girl’s cheek.
She’s just pathetic!
“You know what Cassandra? I think you need to fix your character before calling people names” Jake said as I gasped and looked around.
The students burst into laughter.
I’ve never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my entire life.
I wished the ground should swallow me up.
I fumed in anger.
“I’ll make you pay for everything” I said as I pointed at the pathetic girl and then turned to Jake.
“You’re more than the fool I thought you are…. You are a coward!” I yelled angrily as I ran off blinking hærd to prevent tears.
This is the worst day of my life.
It’s all the new girl’s fault.
I will make sure she leaves this school in shame.
Dogs like her shouldn’t be here.
They should be in a cage where they belong.
I quickly wiped off my tears as I saw my friends coming.
I backed them.
“Cassie what are you….” Lucy tried saying but I cut her off.
“If you are here to criticize me Lucy then am warning you I might slap your cheek” I said angrily
“Oh come on girlfriend! We are not going to criticize you” They chorused as I turned around and hugged them tightly.
“But Cassandra you shouldn’t have pushed the girl” Joann said
“What was I supposed to do? The foolish thing was flirting with my Jake” I popped my eyes
“Yeah! She’s barely 24 hours old in school and she’s already flirting” Kiara said as she blew her gum noisily.
“Good! Am glad Kiara understands perfectly” I said
“Now what? Do you think pushing her was the right thing? You are only pushing your Jake as you call him to her” Lucy said
I paused and gulped.
“How do you mean Lucy?” I asked anxiously
“You’re making Jake side with her and he might end up liking her” Joann said as I landed a dirty slap on her face.
“Shut up Joann! How dare you? You don’t talk nonsense in my presence” I said as I quickly stood up.
They gasped.
Joann held her cheek and stared at me in astonishment.
“Enough Cassandra! Stop running away from the truth! Have you seen the news flying around the school’s group chat about you” Lucy said
“That was harsh though Cassie!” Kiara added
“School’s group chat?” I asked rather defiantly
“You heard her!” Joann yelled at me.
I quickly picked up my cell phone.
But someone interrupted me.
And I heard someone clapping and walking towards me.
I turned my face.
I knew it… The witch Amelia.
I stared at her with total disdain.
She smirked mischievously at us and we frowned with our hands on our wa-ist.
She walked towards us with her two good for nothing friends.
“Awwnn… I really feel for you Cassandra” She mocked me.
“Oh Amelia you’re being harsh… You should have said I really feel for you “dear” Casandra! The “dear” is important” Mira her friend laughed
“I thought you said Jake was all yours? My goodness… He choose the poor slum girl over you in public” Tracy chuckled
“And who told you he choose her over me? We just had a little lover’s quarrel” I smirked
“Lover’s quarrel indeed! He even said you should fix your character” Mira laughed hysterically
I feel like slapping her ugly face.
“Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only one who heard that…. So even darling Jake knows your character is rotten” Amelia said as she eyed me dangerously.
“You know Amelia… Losers will always be losers and you are a loser” Joann said
Amelia flinched.
“You are just a desperate dog… Looking for consolation after losing a bone to the better one” Kiara smirked
“If I were you Tracy I would go back to my shell” Lucy said as they frowned.
“You’re so stupid!” They chorused as they walked away.
I sat heavily on the stool.
I quickly scroll down my cell phone.
👥My gosh… So Cassandra and Jake are no longer together…

I quickly turned off the phone and scre-med aloud in pains.
I threw the cell phone away and it broke into pieces.
“Cassandra please calm down” They said
“I’ll make her pay! I’ll make Gracie pay for this! I hate her so much” I gro-ned in pain.
Gracie’s Pov:
I sat on the stool quietly with my lunch.
The cafeteria was such a big place and I found a corner to sit and eat.
Students kept stealing glances at me like I was a celebrity.
I felt really uneasy.
“Hi dear…” A friendly voice smacked me out of my thoughts.
it was a very beautiful girl.
“Hello dear” I said calmly
She was carrying a tray of food.
“Can I share a table with you?” She asked politely
Actually she looked rich!
I never knew rich girls could be friendly.
“Sure you can” I said
She kept the tray and sat beside me.
We ate in silence before she broke the silence.
“Uhmm… You’ve become a celebrity in school already” She said as I chuckled
“Celebrity? Why is that?” I asked confused
“Because you are the only one who made that girl… The proud one Cassandra Salvador humiliated” She said
“Cassandra Salvador? so that’s her name?” I asked
“Yes and hush… She’s got a lot of fans and they can tell on you” she said as I nodded slowly.
“Oh really?” I said as she smiled
“By the way, am Mona Williams and you?” She asked
“Gracie Montes” I said as we shook hands.
“Can we be friends?” She asked with a smile
“Of course we are” I said as we laughed excitedly.
We kept chatting…
She’s so friendly and kind.
Suddenly, the students started tripping out of the cafeteria in groups.
Mona quickly stand to leave but I held her hand.
“We have to leave Gracie! Cassandra is coming to eat in the cafeteria” She said as I shook my head in confusion.
“Rea…” Before I could finish talking, Cassandra walked in with her group of girls.
Mona was about to run out but she halted her.
Mona and I were the only ones left in the cafeteria.
My eyes went round the empty cafeteria.
“HOW DARE YOU GUYS?” Cassandra’s bold voice yelled furiously…..

Cassandra’s Pov:
I stared at her with so much disdain.
She looked at me puzzled.
I quickly dragged the other girl Mona back and landed a dirty slap on her face.
Gracie gasped in shock as tears flooded down Mona’s face.
“Why did you do that?” Gracie yelled at me and I became gobsmacked.
No-one dares question Cassandra Salvador.
My friends turned to her giving her a dangerous glare but she didn’t care.
She pushed my hands off and held Mona who hugged her tightly.
I smirked devilishly as I quickly grabbed her hair and she shrieked in pains.
“You dare not talk when am talking” I said as she took hands off.
“Who the heck do you think you are Cassandra? Why are you hurting her? What has Mona done to you?” She shouted at me.
I glared at my friends and we shrugged.
“You know Gracie! You can try to be smart and clever but I bet you wouldn’t want to be caught in my web” I sneered
“I am not afraid of you Cassandra…. I can’t let you hurt people who did absolutely nothing to you” She said as I fumed in anger.
I raised my hand to slap her but she held my hand.
My eyes w¡dened in shock.
“Gracie or whatever you call yourself… I advise you to stay the fvck away from our affairs” Kiara yelled at her.
“Of course I will as far as you guys stop bullying others” Gracie defended herself.
We were all stunned.
In the wh0le of St Peter’s high school, no-one has ever talked back at me.
She even touched my hands with her filthy fingers.
Mona hid behind Gracie while I fumed.
“Now get out of this place now” Lucy ordered but Gracie scoffed.
We exchange glances at each other.
“Didn’t you hear her? Get lost right now” Joann added
“What for?” Gracie asked anxiously
“Because we want to eat!” Kiara said
“You can still eat with the other students at the cafeteria right?” She said as I gro-ned in anger.
I quickly picked up a cup of coffee and poured the hot coffee all over her body.
She jumped up in pain
I bet her face is almost peeling off due to the hotness of the coffee.
For the first time, I felt so pleased.
She ran out of the cafeteria with her face on palms.
I smirked wickedly as I stared at my girls.
“Good job girl” They chorused as we high five.
This is just the beginning of what am going to do to that slum girl.
We sat on the chairs round the table.
And the cafeteria was very empty.
Of course I don’t eat with losers around me.
Mona’s Pov:
I applied some oil on Gracie’s face as she cried in pain.
“You shouldn’t have confronted her Gracie! I told you how wicked Cassandra can be” I said
“But it shouldn’t be so…” Gracie said
“Gracie I too come from a rich family but it happens that Cassandra’s parents are richer! Cassandra is a very dangerous person to toy with” I said
Her face was swollen and sore.
It was reddened due to the hotness of the coffee.
Cassandra can be a devil in human clothing.
“What should I do now Mona?” Gracie asked in tears.
“Just stay clear from Cassandra and also stay away from Jake for peace to reign” I said as she shook her head in agreement.
I hugged Gracie tightly.
Cassandra is the school’s celebrity.
And a proud peac*ck.
She has the most expensive car in school.
She lives a life of luxury and considers everyone a piece of trash.
I wonder why she hates Gracie so much.
Jake’s Pov:
I carried the football 🏈 on my left arm as I walked towards the guys.
“Gosh! Jake I heard what you did to Cassie this morning” Mico said
I only shook my head and inhaled deeply.
“I can’t believe this Jake! You choose the new poor girl over Cassandra?” Dre said.
I only kept mute as I bounced the ball on the ground.
“You know how much Dre loves Cassandra right? But he left her for you because you likes her and she likes you too” Mico said
“Please guys can we stop talking about Cassandra and continue with the practice” I said
“Don’t tell me you are already in love with that poor thing” Dre said as I raised my hand to slap him but I stopped.
“Jake?” Mico called in shock
“Don’t you ever talk about Gracie that way again” I said
They looked at each other in astonishment.
I backed them with the ball still on my left arm.
Just then, I saw Gracie walk past with her new friend Mona.
“Gracie!” I waved at her smiling.
She only forced a smile at me.
My eyes w¡dened in shock as I saw her face
It was swollen and reddish.
She only waved at me sadly and walked away.
Is she avoiding me or something?
Before I could say another word, she already ran off with Mona.
“My goodness! Glenda did you see what Cassandra did to the girl from the slums?” Two girls gossiped
“No! I was at the library” The other said
“Hmm… You really missed ooh! Cassandra bathed her face with a cup of hot coffee 🍵… Her face is swollen and sore” The girl said as they kept on going.
What?
Cassandra poured a hot cup of coffee on Gracie’s face?
I became very furious.
“Oh my… I knew Cassandra won’t take things lightly with that peasant” Dre mocked
I gulped hærd.
“This is hilarious” Mico mocked
I quickly picked up my back pack and walked out.
Gracie’s Pov:
I walked out of the school premises with my bag hanged on my back.
My face was hurting badly.
A car zoomed off and almost knocked me down but I fell off the other side.
“Who the heck is this? What kind of a driver are you?” I yelled angrily
The car’s louvers was rolled down.
It was Cassandra and her good for nothing friends.
They laughed hysterically at me.
I only bowed my head.
“Scar face… Next time bridle your stupid tongue” Cassandra laughed
“Cos you might not be so lucky” Kiara said
“And your face might remain scarred for life” Lucy mocked
“Gross… You look pathetic” Joann said as we speeded off still laughing.
I quickly wiped off my tears as I flagged down a cab and hopped in.

I carried the basket of dried fish downstairs.
My face was still hurting badly.
Mother was at the kitchen.
“Mother! Am off” I said bowing my head
I don’t want mother to see my face like this.
Actually I sell dried fish every evening when I come back from school.
I hawk dried fish rather.
“Whatever! Make sure you sell all else there will be no food for you tonight” Mother said sternly.
My other siblings were all out clubbing.
I nodded my head as I headed out.
“Hey! What happened to your ugly face Gracie?” Mother asked
“It’s a burn mother” I said
“Burn? You are so useless… Getting burns even in school” She sighed
“Actually a rich mean kid poured a hot cup of coffee on me….” I said
“Silly…” Mother scoffed without remorse.
“She’s actually the school’s celebrity.. Cassandra Salvador” I said as the spoon fell from mother’s hand.
“SALVADOR??” Mother asked in shock….
