📚Chapter Nineteen📚

🌀🌀LINCOLN POV

It was a new day.I opened my eyes and stood from the bed,then I did my usual which was brushing my teeth and going to the kitchen to make something yummy.

After reaching the kitchen, i turned on the gas cooker and place my pot on it thinking of what to prepare but suddenly I began thinking of Belle and her powers.

Who is she? A witch or what? I seriously don’t want to believe that the Belle I know have powers,I don’t want all this to be real.I don’t want her to know that am uncomfortable anytime I think about her powers.

But I still don’t know why I let her continue staying in my house even after I found out that she got powers.Any normal person would threw her out but I let her stay,I begged her to stay,why?

Not like am planning to threw her out though.

“Good morning,Lin”. Here she comes..

I turned to her and forced a smile while staring at her eyes.It was now her normal dark eyes not the blue eyes anymore.

“Good morning Bel”.I said and poured some quantities of oil in the pan.Perhaps, I should fry some potatoes.

“How was the night Lin? Hope you slept well?”.She asked and I nodded.

I began cutting my potatoes and when I finished doing that,i added some rosemary,salt and pepper before placing few of them in the pan.

I continually added some potatoes in the pan after the ones I placed before got fried and when all the potatoes got fried I kept them on a bowl.

“Wow! That looks so yummy”.Belle exclaimed,rubbing her stomach in s funny way and I chuckled.

“Thank Bel”.I said and she walked closer to me,attempting to take the bowl away from me.

“Hmm Lin, I should help you take this to the dining room.I hope you don’t mind”.She asked and I shrugged.

“Of course not.I don’t mind at all”.She then beamed and walked out or the kitchen with the bowl in her hands.

After eating and discussing with Belle in the dining took,I went to my room to take a bath.I didn’t know how many minutes I stayed in the bathroom but when I felt a might be late for work I rushed out of the bathroom in a towel.

I quickly wore a red colored shirt and dark p-nt with a ruby colored canvas to march.I then walked out of the room after drying my w-t hair.

I saw Belle in the living room staring at a blank TV and I smiled,switching it on.

“Thanks Lin.I was about asking you to switch it on”.She said,expressing a smile.

“It’s nothing Bel. I would be leaving now,bye”.I said and she gave a nod before I left.

Many thoughts came running through my mind immediately I stepped out of the house.It was all thoughts about Belle – mostly about her powers and I wouldn’t deny that it wasn’t scaring me.

I pushed off the thoughts and connected my ear piece to my phone before placing them in my ears.I then played one of my favorite songs by my favorite musician.

“Lincoln!”.I heard my name and I rolled my eyes knowing who the caller is already.

Brandon! He is one of the few persons am familiar with around here though he is friendly but he is also a big flirt.

“Hey Brand”.I said after he came closer to me.We exchanged handshakes while smiling at each other.

“So how are you doing? You haven’t visited me for a long time dude”.He said and i frowned slightly.

“Neither did you,don’t blame me”.I said and he cackle.

“Well,i wanted to go share a news with you today but fortunately for me I saw you on the way.Isn’t that great?”.He smiled broadly and I scoffed.

Geez! I hope he isn’t planning to force me to go to a club or bar or whatever.The last time he did that,I fell sick for days due to the noise and smell or alcohol. Damn! My ears felt deafened.

I really don’t get why he is always asking me to go to places like that.

“What is it,Brand?”.I asked icily and he immediately got the message from my voice.

“Come on,Lincoln.This time isn’t a club or bar,okay? It’s just a birthday party from one of my friends,she asked me to invite all my friends and I thought of you.Please Lincoln,I don’t want her to feel disappointed”.He coaxed,making puppy eyes that doesn’t even look cute on it.I was forced to laugh!

“Fine Brand but this is the last time,okay? I don’t want you to tell me to go to another party again”.I said and he nodded happily.

“The time for the party is 8pm tomorrow. You should be ready,I will come pick you up”.He said and I couldn’t help but lack interest in the party already.

“Yeah whatever”.I mouthed as I watch him walk away.

📚Chapter Twenty📚

I walked back to the house feeling so tired and to worsened it all I was hungry.I didn’t eat anything at noon and the free snacks that was given to all workers in the restaurant couldn’t help to end my hunger.

I took in a deep breath as I opened the door when I finally got home and Belle quickly rushed to me.

“Hey,Lin welcome back.I have a surprise for you”.She smiled happily and i smiled back a bit.

“Okay,I will be back.I would go freshen up and return back to you”.I said hoarsely while walking to my room.

“Hold on,Lin! You sound strange…are you fine?”.Belle asked,full of concern and I just nodded.

“Yep,am fine just tired”.I said but couldn’t guess the look on her face cause I was now backing her.

“Oh!”.That was the only word I heard her say as I got to my room which wasn’t far from the living room.

I opened the door and the first thing I did was taking off my clothes before going to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and took my bath,closing my eyes in the process while feeling the water w-t my skin.

When I was done,I walked out of the bathroom and wore a pajama before going to the living room.

But when I got there I didn’t see her,I only heard some sounds from the dining room and I decided to go in there. Alas! She was there setting a bowl of steamed rice in two dishes.

“Bel?”.I called and she stared at me,still with her smile.

“Did you make this?”.I asked surprised and she nodded with a blush.

“Yeah,just wanna surprise you with this”.She said and I shrugged,sitting on a dining chair.

She handed me a spoon,telling me to take a taste of the food and tell her how it tastes and I did that without hesitation.

I spooned some rice and put them in my mouth,chewing it softly but suddenly I spat it all on floor before drinking some water.Gross!

“Gosh! This tastes so awful”.I said as I stared at the rice I spat on the floor.

“Am so sorry Lin,I didn’t know it would taste so bad. Please..”.I cut her off.

“Well,you should had told me first before making this disgusting food.Geez! I can’t believe you wasted this rice”.Now,i was angry.

I can’t really believe she ruined the last food in the house right now.I was even planning to make some rice puddings tonight but she ruined it!

“Am so sorry Lin,I didn’t know..”.I cut her off again ignoring how hurt she look.She must have been hurt because I was yelling at her or because I called the food disgusting but I didn’t care at that moment.

My anger and frustration was taking the best part of me.

“You didn’t know what,Belle? You didn’t know you were a bad cook or you didn’t know that your efforts was gonna be in vain,huh?”.I scowled and her reddish,teary eyes snapped at me.

“Stop this Lin,please stop this.I..i was only trying to impress you,to make you proud of me.I didn’t know the food was gonna taste so bad,if I had known then i wouldn’t had prepared it but i did anyway and you suddenly began yelling,calling what I made disgusting and making me feel like the worst person on this horrible world.Yeah,of course am so sorry for wasting your food,for cooking trash but please don’t get angry at me.Please Lin”.She was sobbing and my anger vanished within few seconds.

“Bel,am sorry”.I apologized, feeling so sad and guilty.

“It’s okay,I understand.I should go to the guest room now,my presence must irritate you.Am sorry”.She sniffed and walked away.I tried to stopped her but she was already out of sight.

For Goodness sake! Why am I making her sad,making her cry.Darn it! I should tried to apologize to her again,I really want her to forgive me.

I began walking to her room and when I got there,it took me a lot of time to open the door cause of how guilty I felt.Thanks fully,she didn’t lock the door like the last time so I just walked into the room but I met her on the bed burying her face in her hands.

“Bel..?”.She cut me off quickly.

“Am not crying,i just need some space…alone,please”.She said rising her head to look at me and truly she wasn’t crying.

“Am sorry,I know I hurt you”.I said and she just stood from the the bed without glancing at me.

“I will go to the kitchen to get some water,my throats hurts”.She muttered and began walking away,not minding her steps.

Soon enough,she slipped but I was quick to catch her.I held her by the wa-ist staring into her eyes.

“T..thanks”.She mouthed while still in that position.

For the second time in my life I felt a spark in my heart. The same feeling arrived,the same feeling of want for Belle.

She bit her l-ips shyly but she didn’t know what that did to me,a feeling overwhelmed me and I found myself doing something i didn’t want to do.

I k-ssed her!
