Evelyn’s POV
.
I tried to talk out about our holiday to the Island but he wouldn’t listen to me.
I tried every other way to prevent us from going but none worked.
I’m not against us going to the island but It’s just that I don’t want us to spend any moment together with that boy.
The island is lonely and we will be alone with Destry all that time which is what I’m not okay with.
I just don’t want us to be anywhere around him but my father insisted that he won’t get an apartment for us until next year.
Which leave me no choice but to wait till next year, but before then i have to tred carefully.
Over the days before christmas Destry has been doing as he wish at the discomfort of my sisters.
My sisters will expects me to take side of them like i always do but instead i’ll let him get away with it.
” Sis, what is wrong with you?, this is unlike you” Eva said.
” Yes sis, you’ve been acting strange….you’re different now” sophie added.
” Yes, you used to tolerate destry’s action but now you let him get away with it” Eve also added.
” Evelyn, the girls are right, we all look up to you and expect you to do the right thing…….”
” you’re the only one that can stop the boy cause you are not afraid of our mother” Sarah said.
” A lot have changed girls and sorry if you feel disappointed”
” all of you just need to tolerate him a bit longer till the end of this year”
” I’ve spoken to dad to get us our own apartment….and he promised to get it by next year”
” Really?” sophie asked.
” Yes, we can finally be on our own, all of us together in our own apartment where we can do as we want” i said.
” i’d really like, that will be great” Eva added.
” yeah, all i want you to do is tolerate him a bit longer…Okay” i said.
” yes sis” they said in unison.
” we will try but that boy can be so annoying” Sarah added.
” Yes sis…..he almost stabbed me with a scissors” Anna said.
” what?” i said in disbelief.
‘ is he starting already?’
‘ could he actually hurt his own sisters in that way?’
‘ could he actually harm his family?’
” you know what girls….just try to get away from him at all cost, avoid him completely” i said.

{24-December}

Tomorrow is christmas so we have to leave for the island today so are already making preparations.
My Parents went to the mall to buy all the things we are going to use during our stay over there especially food.
I on the other hand went with my sisters to buy some firecrackers to use on the christmas night.
My phone started ringing and it turns out to be Tom the officer which i answered.
” hello” he said immediately i answered.
” Hi, Tom” i replied.
” How are you doing?” he asked.
” i’m doing okay….and you?”
” Not bad, Merry christmas in advance”
” Yea same to you” i replied.
” What are you doing tomorrow?” He asked.
” eerr, my family and i are going on a holiday” i answered.
” ohh, holiday?…where?” he asked.
” An island my father bought in Sasha….we go there every year” i said.
” Sasha Island?….your dad must be very rich” he said and i chuckled.
” well, you can say that” i replied.
” oh…okay”
” umm, actually the reason i called is because i want us both to hang out tomorrow” he said.
” uhh, i’m sorry i can,t…….i just needs to be there” i said.
” Nah, it’s okay…..i get it, but you have to make up for it” he said.
” of course, i promise i will” i said.
” alright then, talk to you later….Have a Merry Christmas” he said.
” Yeah, you too……Bye”
” Later” he said then ended the call.
I would’ve love to spend the christmas with him but i can’t leave my sisters alone with that boy.
Not after everything that is going on, i just can’t.

We all packed our bags and the things we will be needing into the car then get ready to leave.
My Dad and i are taking our cars, so my mom and destry are driving with dad, while my sisters and i are in mine.
We drove for three hours before we reached the port, all through the ride was fun as people could hear our laughter from the car.
we arrive at the port then we all get down, we grabbed our things and my dad went to meet one of the port operators.
A while later he came out holding a key to one of our boat, yes we also have our own personal boat infact my dad ride it.
we put all our things in the boat in the boat then we get onboard as my dad ignited the engine and drove off.
” Dad, i’m not doing any cleaning at the house cause i’m tired already” Bella said and destry scoffed.
” Lazy pig” destry mocked.
” Mind your business, Destry” she snapped back.
” It’s okay honey, i already had someone do that, the place should be clean by now” dad replied.

About Half an hour later we arrive on the ground and packed our things into the house.
Just like my father said the place is cleaned up which will save us some stress.
The house is a storey building and There are only three rooms in the house.
My parents take the one room, Destry also occupies one alone, while the last one is for my sisters and i.
We all take our things to our room and settled down in our rooms.
while my sisters went out to check out the surroundings i went to the kitchen grab a drink and some ch¡ps.
I entered the kitchen and saw Destry holding Dad’s special knife then suddenly he threw it out of the window.
” Heyy, why did you do that?….that’s dad’s knife” i said.
” It’s none of your business” he said walking away.
I decided not to push it so i opened the fridge and grab a yoghurt and ch¡ps and head back to my room.
” Give it to me” i heard destry shouting.
” Go away, i was here first” i heard betty said then i went to check on them.
” I want to watch my cartoons” destry said and i see them fight over the remote.
” I was here first and i get to watch it first.
” Betty, Give it to him” i said.
” But i was here first” she complained.
” it’s okay….give it to him” i said and she gave him the remote and ran to the room.
i went after her and found her crying on the bed and went closer to her.
” c’mon betty, you don’t have to cry over that” i said petting her.
” you are being partial” she said.
” i’m not, i told you just let him be for the time being…..just do that for me, okay” i said and she nodded.
” Now let’s the movie together on my phone on Netflix” i said.
” You subscribe?” she asked excitedly.
” Yeah, i just did”

After we’ve all had dinner we went back to our rooms and we were gisting and discussing about what we are going to do tomorrow.
” I’m thirsty….i’ll be back” Betty said standing up.
” Get one for me as well” Anna also said.
” okay” she replied then went out of the room while we continue our discussion.

Betty went to the kitchen then open the frdge and found just one bottle water in the fridge so she took it.
She turned and see Destry also entering the kitchen and went straight to the fridge.
” Heyy, That’s the last one” he said to her.
” Not my problem” betty said and started walking out.
” I want it….i’m thirty” he said stopping her.
” Like i said, Not My Problem” i said.
” Look here, I’m not up for your crazy menace, just get out of my way” betty said pushing him aside.
” Give it back Now” he growled.
” Get out of my way before i slap some senses into your thick empty skull” she said then turn to leave.
Destry pushed her and she fell down with the water falling from her which he quickly went to grab.
Betty stood up quickly stood up and hit him on the head very hærd.
” don’t you ever try that again” she said then snatch the water from him and left.
Destry quickly went to the kitchen and grab two glass bottle and ran after her and met her in the living room.
” wh..what…what are you doing?” betty said nervously.
” You’re bad, You’re very Bad…..and i hate you” he said.
Then he jumped and smashed the two bottle on her head and she fell down to the ground gushing out blood from the head.
” That’s More Like it”

Evelyn and her sisters have no idea what was happening as they are so engrossed in their discussion.
” What’s taking Betty so long?……. I’m thirsty” Anna complained.
” She must have been back at the television……that girl love watching movies” Sophie said.
” I’m going to get it by myself” Anna said then went out of the room.
She got to the living and was surprised not to see anyone there.
” But she’s not here….then where is she?” Anna wondered then made her way to the kitchen.
She was halfway to the kitchen when she found Betty on the ground in the pool of her own blood.
