SEASON 2 CHAPTER 3

“Hi,” Daniel said trying to stay calm and charming as possible.

“Hi,” Ruby responded smiling in return.

“Can I have few minutes of your time? I just want us to talk.” He said and Ruby nodded.

“Cant we talk over Lunch instead? I am still working.” She said smiling and Dan nodded rapidly.

“Yes, that is true. My bad. Anytime you want, I would be here.” He said and she smiled.

“You don’t have to be here, I would call you once I am free.” She said and Dan felt butterflies in his tummy.

“What time are you going on the break? I would come and pick you up. You shouldn’t be the one doing the calling.” He said and Ruby smiled.

“noon, I should be done by then.” She said and he nodded chuckling.

“Great, I am free at the time. See you soon. Or?” he asked and she nodded.

“See you soon.” She replied and he nodded walking into Landon’s office again. He got to the office and before he said anything, he pulled out his phone and put a call across to his P.A.

Landon stared at him wondering what he was doing. He had a confused smile on his face as he stared at Daniel.

Dan finally got across to his P.A and he spoke up.

“Hi Miranda, I won’t be in the office by noon today. Cancel all the meetings from that time till 4 pm.” He said and immediately Landon understood.

He busted into silent laughter and when Dan hung up he rushed to Landon, and they shook hands.

“I did it. We have lunch at noon!” He yelled in a whisper and Landon laughed so hærd that his tummy began to hurt.

“So you canceled all your meetings for her right?” he asked and Dan nodded.

“Of course, I would do that over and over again. This is an opportunity I should never miss.” He said and Landon smiled.

“Yea, I have been there before. That Kim just…” He said and Dan made a puppy face.

“She stole your heart,” Dan added and Landon nodded smiling.

“You know how I am. I don’t love easily, but hers is just so different. And that is why it is so special, it’s like she is a part of me now.” He said and Dan nodded.

“I can understand you, Landon. And I am happy to see you like this, I never thought you would fall in love anytime soon.” Dan said and Landon chuckled.

“Me too, and I am happy you finally got her too. And I would advise you went back to the house or office to prepare for your first time date with her.” Landon said and Dan stood up.

“that is the best idea. Thank you Landon for encouraging me.” He said and Landon shook his head.

“you shouldn’t thank me because honestly, I didn’t do anything.” He said and Dan nodded.

“But I still thank you, for having her as your P.A. if you didn’t have her, I wouldn’t be going on a date with her this day.” He said and Landon smiled.

“Good luck brother,” Landon said and Dan nodded walking to the door. He opened and walked out of the office.

Landon smiled and picked up his phone. He wanted to call Kimberly because he was missing her already.

Her phone began to ring and he waited for her to pick it up. She finally picked up and he smiled widely as he spoke up.

“Hi, baby.” He greeted and Kimberly chuckled.

“Hi, baby. Aren’t you supposed to be busy?” she asked and Landon stood up from his chair and began to walk around in his office.

“I am not busy. But I think I am busy now.” He said and she nodded.

“So we would talk later?” she asked and he smiled.

“I am busy talking to the love of my life.” He said and Kimberly chuckled, her cheeks flushed.

“I didn’t see it that way. I thought you had another meeting.” She said Landon kept walking around the office.

“I missed you.” He said and Kim smiled fondling her clothes.

“I missed you too.” She said and Landon shut his eyes stopping the roaming about the office.

“I feel you are part of me, Kimberly. I feel you in,side of me.” He muttered touching his chest rubbing it slowly.

“I am a part of you, and you are a part of me, Landon. That is because we love each other.” She stated and Landon opened his eyes.

“I have never felt this way over a lady my wh0le life. I know I haven’t been able to express how much I love you Kim, but I am saying it now. I love you so much.” He said and tears rolled down Kim’s face.

“I love you too Landon.” She replied and then her father that sat next to her stood up.

“Kim I have to go now.” He whispered and she signaled him to wait.

“Landon, can I call you back?” She asked and he nodded.

“Sure, I will be right here.” He said and she hung up.

“Father so soon?” she asked cleaning the tears that were on her face.

“Yes. I need to get back to your mother before she let hell loose.” He said and Kim smiled. She stood up and hugged him.

“I will miss you. Come visit very soon.” She said and he nodded k-ssing her forehead.

“I will. Goodbye.” He said and they both walked to the door.

Landon just hung up from Kimberly’s second call when he heard a knock on the door. Ruby walked in and informed him that someone wanted to see him.

“he calls himself Peter Johnson.” She said and Landon’s eyes w¡dened.

“That is Kimberly’s father. Let him in immediately.” He said and Ruby walked out of his office. After few minutes, Peter walked in.

“Good day sir.” Landon greeted standing up.

“Good day Son. How do you feel?” he asked as Landon gestured him to sit.

“Better sir. And you?” he asked sitting too.

“Better thank you. I didn’t plan to stay long I just want to pull your attention to something.” He said and Landon paid rapt attention.

“I am all ears, sir.” He replied.

“I have been noticing Kimberly using some drugs. Did you notice?” he asked and Landon shook his head furrowing his brows.

“No. That isn’t possible, she has not been using any drugs.” He said and Peter sighed.

“Can you do me a favor?” He asked and Landon nodded.

“Anything Sir.” He responded.

“can you help me watch her find out if I am saying the truth? She refused to tell me what is going on. And I want to know why daughter uses medications.” He said and Landon nodded.

“I would find our sir. I promise to let you know.” He said and Peter smiled.

“Please let her not get conscious about it. I don’t want her to find out we are watching her.” He said standing up and Landon stood up too.

“I would do just that.” He said and Peter walked back to the door.

“and one more thing, can you find out what she is using the drugs for?” He asked and Landon bobbed.

“I will do just that sir.” He said and Peter smiled.

“I will be on my way now. Please don’t tell her I was here or I told you anything.” He pleaded and Landon nodded.

“Sure.” He said and Peter walked out of the office.

Peter slammed into his chair in deep thoughts.

“What is going on?” he asked himself.

SEASON 2 CHAPTER 4

Landon couldn’t concentrate anymore, he wanted to get home and find out what was going on so badly. He needed to know why Kim was on drugs.

The door of his office opened and Sara walked in smiling widely.

“Hey.” She said happily and immediately she saw his countenance her mood changed instantly and she became so worried.

“Hi, Mom.” He said with his head still bowed.

“What’s wrong? You don’t look happy.” She said sitting in front of him.

“I just heard disturbing news, and I can’t get my mind off it.” He muttered and Sara creased her brows.

“Disturbing news? About who? What?” She further inquires.

“Kimberly Mother, it’s Kim.” He said raising his head to look at her and she could see the sadness on his face. It was so evident that he wasn’t himself.

“What did you hear son?” Sara asked fearfully. She wondered what he heard and who he heard it from. She was 100% sure Kimberly wouldn’t have told him anything.

“Peter, Kim’s father just left this place and he made it known to me that Kimberly is on drugs some medications he doesn’t know about.” He said and Sara became confused.

“Medications? Are you sure?” She asked.

“no I am not, but I have to find out.” He said and Sara knew she couldn’t do anything about it anymore. If she tries to stop him, he would get to know that she knows something about it. And she even thinks it’s a good idea for him to know now. At least it’s been more than a month already.

“Yes, it’s good you find out and if there is anything, please let me know.” She said and Landon nodded standing up.

“Where are you going?” She asked as he stood up.

“I am going home, I can’t take it anymore. I need to be with her throughout today.” He said and started packing his stuff.

“Can I go with you?” Sara asked and Landon shook his head.

“No, you can’t go with me. I would tell you anything that happens.” He said and Sara nodded standing up.

They both walked to the door and walked out of the office.

“Ruby, I am going out, please keep everything in order.” He said and Ruby nodded.

“When will you be back sir?” she asked and Landon shook his head.

“Till tomorrow. I can’t come back today, so wrap everything up.” He said and walked out of the company with his mom.

“Mom I am sorry we won’t be able to talk for so long. I am so worried about Kim.” He said and Sara nodded.

“I understand, I would drop by another time. And please don’t forget to send my greetings to Kimberly.” She started walking to her car.

“I will.” He replied walking to his car as well. He sat and ignited the engine, he drove out of the company’s compound and hit the road to his mansion.

Kimberly walked to the done after hearing the good bell ring. She just finished using another drug. She opened the door and was surprised to see Landon at the door.

“Baby.” She called hugging him.

“Hey.” He replied trying to smile and they both walked into the living room.

“You are back early, done with work so soon?” She asked and he nodded.

“Yes. I was feeling tired so I decided to come home to rest.” He said and she looked so worried.

“Are you okay? Do I have to call the doctor to come to check you up?” she asked placing her palm on his forehead and all Landon did was stare into her eyes.

“Babe, are you okay?” She asked looking into his eyes and he nodded looking away.

“I need to sleep. I am feeling dizzy.” He said and Kim nodded.

“Come to your room.” She said holding his hand and holding him till they got to his room. She opened the door and they both walked in.

He laid on the bed and Kim covered his body using his Duvet.

“If you need anything, just call me. I would answer you immediately.” She said turning to leave, but then Landon pulled her to himself making her fall on him.

“Stay with me.” He said holding her tightly to himself and she smiled.

“Fine, but your grip is too tight, I won’t be running away.” She said smiling and he released his grip a little.

She pulled the duvet over herself too and turned to face him, staring at his face.

“I would love to watch you sleep.” She muttered planting a k-ss on his l-ips. He smiled and shut his eyes pretending to fall asleep.

He kept his hand on her wrist making sure she wouldn’t leave him till he was awake.

After three hours, Kimberly fell asleep deeply and Landon opened his eyes. He felt her body was hot against his skin.

He looked at her and saw how sweaty she was.

“Kim! Kim!” he called tapping her and then she opened her eyes slowly.

She felt the pain from in,side her grow as she became conscious. She said no words, but instead got out of bed immediately and ran to the door.

“Kimberly what is going on?” he asked following her. She got to her room and locked the door behind her.

She ran to where she placed her drugs and then poured the pills on her hand and used it with the water that was In her bottle.

“Kimberly! Open the door.” Landon said fearfully but Kim was too weak to say a word. She fell to the ground breathing hærd as she let the drugs work.
