“Wheels, Frederick is after your life, I was sent to kill you” Nick said removing the bullet in Michael’s shoulder.

“Why will he want to do that??? I didn’t steal or do anything to him” Michael said with squeezed face, he was trying hærd not to feel the pain.

“You should know, he is still after George, been James Darlington son, he is after him because his companies have over shadowed his” Nick said as he began sowing up Michael arm.

“But I thought everyone still doesn’t know about George”Michael said looking away from what Nick was doing.

“Am not so sure, I think he knows that George is alive there’s a compromised person at George’s office” Nick answered as he put Michael leg on his lap and was removing the bullet.

“Oh goodness, I told him to be discreet and careful”Michael said.

“Well I don’t think he was” Nick answered. “All done” Nick said and dropped Michael’s leg gently.It was properly bandaged, Michael wondered how Nick knew how to do all these.

“Ofcourse, He is a hitman” Michael thought “Thanks Nick” Michael said patting Nick in the shoulder who smiled.

“You are welcome” He answered with smiles.

“Well, you have changed alot, Am really happy I met you at least one of the most notorious criminal is a good guy now”Michael said smiling, as he remembered how he met Nick.

MICHAEL’S FLASHES

Nick has usually was sent to kill a business tycoon, Steven, who was Freddie’s rival, although the anti crime agencies were also after the Steven but unfortunately he outsmarted Freddie. There was a party that was hosted by Steven, he invited every person of worth to the party but the party was a camouflage to get his best friend Byron killed, Byron was a good man, who has built his wealth on a clean note, Steven knew that Freddie was after his life and also knew that anti crime agencies were coming after him, so he wanted to make Freddie kill Byron, and then the authories should get Freddie, he wanted to kill two birds with just a stone and also without touching the stone. Where Steven was to sit, he made Byron sit there, so when Nick came, he was about to shoot the wrong person because he was aiming from the back, because the front would have made it too obvious, Nick shot but it met Michael instead who was already in the party moving unnoticed around where Steven was, he began to pursue Nick around the yacht, bullets started to fly around, Michael caught Nick, as other agents were approaching, he left Nick, who fell into the water, the others thought Nick escaped, it was only few that knew Michael saved him. Steven was imprisoned for trying to kill Byron, because the former has pointed a gun at his best friend. Freddie was spared because Michael was still investigating about him, and that was the main purpose he saved Nick because Michael was not getting success with the investigation.

“Michael I think, we will get success soon with your investigation” Nick said which jolted Michael to the present.

“Really????, why do you say so, have you gotten anything???” Michael asked looking at Nick.

“Yeah, I think so” Nick said “look at this” he added as he showed Michael a picture on his phone.

“Who is this????” Michael asked as he stared at the picture of a beautiful young lady “don’t tell me, you wanna use her as a bait for Freddie??” He added.

“No, never” Nick said almost immediately. Michael looked at him suspiciously.

“Hmmmm…… Nigga, don’t let it be what am thinking” Michael said smiling knowingly, Nick blushed. “What????, oh my goodness!!” Michael shouted quietly. “Just be careful” He added.

“Okay, thanks, I will keep you updated, by the way her name is Piper, Freddie’s secretary” Nick said smiling, Michael shook his head, shocked that this will happen to hit man, if anyone had told him this he wouldn’t have believe but it happened.

“Love, is something else” Michael muttered quietly. He remembered Jessica and how he felt she was lying. They came down from the car, Belle collected the box from Nick and went to wash and sterilized it, while Daniel gave Michael new clothes to wear.

“Wait?? What???” Nick said as he frowned. They all looked at him. Belle and Michael were through with whay they were doing.

“Michael your pictures and that of George’s are over the Internet” Nick said. “And who is Jessica??” Nick asked immediately because that was what caught his attention besides Michael’s pictures. They all came over to him.

“She is my fiancee” Michael said. Nick gave him his phone, his eyes went straight to Jessica comments, in reaction to Michael’s pictures, A girl whose user name is “I am pretty” had said :

“Gosh!!, he is so handsome, it has been a while I saw his picture, does he have a girl, cause am available” I am pretty had comment and she was replied by Jessica.

“Hey, back off, he already got a girl, that’s me, so don’t come any where close”She commented

“Really!!!! You are just a fan too girl, you can’t go somewhere close to this man who net worth can buy your wh0le generation and some quality amount of money will still be left” I am pretty replied.

“I won’t trade words with you just wait till you see our pre wedding photos” Jessica said. And with that they ended their conversation.

“So that was why she begged me, she finally knows the real me” Michael said, as he looked at the date the conversation was made it was a day after she called and apologized, he was angry.

“She dare came back to you, how dare her do that, now that she knows your worth, bitch is crazy” Belle said disgusted because she knew the wh0le story about Jessica and Michael.

“Our boyfriend won’t go back to her”Daniel said as he was also aware of Jessica.

“Ofcourse, I won’t and please stop calling me boyfriend” Michael said rolling his eyes, which got Nick laughing.

“Awwwwnnn Nick’s laughter is so adorable” Belle said smiling. “Too bad am taken”she added.

“Same goes for….. Don’t worry”Nick said and they smiled knowingly at him. “So why call him boy friend???” Nick said.

“Let’s just say they both fell in love with me but I know now that I am free from them” Michael replied and they smiled. ” That reminds me, Alexa sent a picture to me, I saw someone else’s wrist with the same tattoo Clara had, I think they are working for boss, and I think, Anothy Woods is with boss, they are together”Michael added.

“We have to go” Dan said as he they all got into the rocket.Belle took Michael’s bag with her and sat in the seat at the front while both Nick and Michael sat at the back. As they were about to take off, Michael’s tablet rang, he opened his bag and saw it was a strange number.

“Unknown number calling”He said.

“Do you think you should pick that” Belle asked.

“Same goes for me but I am sure anything you do is right, you weren’t the best in the agency for nothing” Daniel said.

“Just because I should or shouldn’t pick a call you almost said all my life history, C’mon!” Michael replied Daniel and they laughed, the tablet stopped ringing, then after few seconds it started again.

“Desperate caller” Nick commented.

“Yes??” Michael said immediately he picked the call.

“godfather, am scared” Alexa voiced said sadly, it shows she has been crying.

“Calm down baby, calm down, stop crying, what’s wrong???” Michael asked and everyone looked at him in the rocket, when they got that the call was from his goddaughter.

“Ashley has been kidnapped” Alexa said, it was evident that she was crying, Michael was shocked.

“What!!!!” Michael shouted which made everyone in the rocket startled. He calmed down immediately to prevent Alexa from becoming too scared.

“godfather, you have to come, please come quickly, please” Alexa pleaded over the phone.

“Baby, am on my way, just few hours, I will be there, please stop crying and stay calm” Michael said.

“Okay, bye” Alexa said and ended the call.

“Ashley has been abducted” Michael said to the anxious and curious stares staring at him.

“What!!!!!!” They scre-med.

“What happened????” Daniel asked.

“I really don’t know, and I couldn’t ask her, because she was crying over the phone” Michael replied sadly.

“Boyfriend, don’t worry, everything will be fine and thank goodness we brought a rocket instead of a jet we had in mind” Belle said.

“Daniel, let’s get going, so we could get there on time” Nick spoke, Daniel nodded and started the rocket in no time they were in the sky moving fast. Michael tried to put on his phone which screen has broken so badly but his efforts proved abortive, the phone has been in his pocket throughout his attack. There in the rocket he kept thinking who would have launched an attack on him and who also would have kidnapped Ashley.

Some Hours Earlier.

When George dropped the kids at school, Natasha had been trailing them, when she parked George’s lunch park, she placed a tracker on it. She found out the school they were and she kidnapped Ashley because she was alone for sometimes, no one knew cause it was closing time already, it was until Adrian started looking for her because she didn’t come to their usual s₱0t to wait for their Dad who was delaying to pick them up, he ran to tell Alexa, they started looking for her for hours, they tried calling their dad but he wasn’t picking up, everyone has left school because they didn’t know that anyone was missing. Alexa called Michael’s number but it wasn’t going through, she called the other one which went through she spoke with Michael, she was crying same with Adrian. They both became a bit relieved after she replaced the telephone and came out of the telephone’s.

“What did godfather say???” Adrian asked wiping his tears with the back of his hands.

“He is coming and we should relaxed” Alexa asked as she hugged her brother. “Don’t worry, we will see Ashley, let’s just keep clam” Alexa said as they both went to sit down.

“Dad is busy right???” Adrian asked.

“Yeah, but am sure he will come soon” Alexa answerd.

As soon the rocket landed, they border a car and went straight to the kids’ school, in the car Belle called Williams and informed him about the lastet development,Daniel didn’t go with them because he had to drive the rocket to their base. As they came down from the car, Michael saw his goddaughter and son, by now Daniel was already with them. Adrian looked back and saw Michael.

“godfather!!!” He shouted, Alexa looked back immediately, they both broke into a ran, they both hugged him, Michael felt pains in his body as they jumped on him but he didn’t show it. Nick and his colleagues saw it, they looked at the kids who has cried their eyes out.

“Babies, you have to tell me what happened, starting from this morning” Michael said and squated to their level.

“This morning” Alexa began but stopped as she and both Adrian greeted Michael’s friends who answered with a smile.”

“This morning, we wished Ashley happy birthday…….” Alexa narrated everything to them, they were all listening with rapt attention.

“A cook????” Michael said, he asked and collected Belle’s phone, he called Williams who picked it immediately and told him about the cook the kids talked about.

“Yeah, I did call the agency but I was told he told them one person already came over” Williams answerd.

“Okay no problem, I will call later” Michael said and ended the call.

“And one more thing godfather, she was behaving strangely too” Ashley said, and everyone looked at her.
