Episode Eight
“Dad!!!??” They shouted.
“Yes darlings,” George replied and made his way to the dinning room.
“What’s the matter with you and godfather???” Alexa asked.
“Nothing, why do you ask??” He asked as he looked at Michael who continues to eat.
“C’mon dad, that’s a lie, and you and godfather have always warned us not to lie” Ashley said as she folded her hands looking at her Dad.
“But…… Fine why did you say so??” George asked as he wondered how his children got to know that he and Michael had a fight because he knew that Michael won’t have said anything.
“Really???? Dad c’mon, it’s obviously obvious, that even the dead can see that something is wrong” Alexa said, looking at her Dad.
“But Alexa, how would a dead person know this, isn’t the person dead, or so dead…..” Ashley was saying when Adrian cut in.
“Yikes! Do you think Clara is hearing what we are saying??” Adrian asked, he and Ashley had a sacred look on, Alexa hit her forehead in frustration, Michael bit in,side his mouth in order not to burst in squeals of laughter, George smiled.
“That’s not what I mean, it’s just….. You know just forget it, it just an exaggeration” Alexa answered.
“Agggerrrr…… What????” Adrian asked.
“You know what just forget it…. Back to Dad, right???”Alexa said trying to change the topic to the original one they were discussing,which thankfully they nodded, Alexa smiled.
“Yeah, Dad, you just lied, you and godfather are quarreling right????” Ashley said looking from both her father and godfather.
“But……” George tried to say.
“No buts Dad, first I had suspected when we came in, we met only you and saw godfather’s phone and laptop and he wasn’t with you and that hærdly happens, right???” Adrian cut his father short, and his sisters nodded to his point, Michael was amused and his love for the kids increased.
“Secondly, when the table was set, he didn’t call you to eat and that too hasn’t happen before” Adrian said.
“And Dad, you guys haven’t said anything to each other too” Ashley said, as both George and Michael looked at the kids with wonder.
“So Dad, what happened??” Ashley asked, and they all looked at their father intensively, George was in a tight corner, he looked at Michael who was eating, not sparing him a look, but Michael was concerned on how to save his friend because he knew the kids, they will frustrate him.
“Awwwww, Darlingtons am so glad you guys care and love us, am so touched, I never knew you love and care for us” Michael said trying to divert their attention which worked because the kids were already looking at him smiling.
“Of course we do, especially you that has a broken heart” Ashley said and her siblings nodded along side smiling.
“Baby girl, c’mon, that was hash” Michael replied laughing.
“Well, yeah we quarreled, but it wasn’t that serious, it was just about some annoying people at work” Michael said beaming with smiles.
“Oooooh work” They chorused together
“Yeah work, you know I can’t quarrel with your Dad for too long because you know he wanted to propose to the wife material in me” Michael said and they all burst into laughter because he said it in a funny way, including George who was showing his dentition, with that the kids were diverted from the issue between Michael and George, they all ate quietly based on Michael’s order. When they were through, Michael arranged the table and other things without the kids because they had a show to watch, Michael released them in order for them not remember the issue they talked about, George took the laptops and phones to his room and Michael’s. They both settled down to watch the show with the kids.

The next day, very early in the morning, George walked to Michael’s room, he peeped in and saw Michael sitting behind his desk with books, papers, doc-ments and a laptop he was obviously working on some office project.
“Yes come in”Michael said when he heard a faint knock on the door. George came in, still standing, he cleared his throat because Michael didn’t acknowledge his presence, Michael turned back and looked at his best friend who was still in his pajamas.
“Good morning Mikky”George greeted.
“Good morning” Michael answered uncheerfully.
“C’mon, are you still mad at me, fine am sorry” George apologized.
“Buddy, am not, just that I don’t like it when you don’t see reasons in what am saying” Michael said as he stood up walked up to his friend and they both sat on his bed.
“Okay, am sorry and thanks for saving me from those demons yesterday” George said and they both smiled.
“No problem, they are so curious and inquisitive” Michael said smiling and George nodded.
“George you have to take care of yourself, I have a trip to embark on and my flight is eight this morning and I might not be back for like two to three days” Michael said as he checked his wall clock, he stood up and brought out his traveling bag.
“Ooooh yeah, that’s true, let’s me help you” George said as they packed some necessary things into Michael’s bag.
“George be careful and be discreet please, I will be in touch with you, and don’t go near bad guys okay” Michael said as he patted George cheeks as if he was ten.
“Yeah, I will buddy” George answered.
“Let me cook for the kids, you should start to get them dressed” Michael said and they both walked out of the room, Michael went downstairs to the kitchen while George went to his kids rooms, after an hour, everyone was dressed, they gather around the table to eat.
“Is it just me or godfather is going on a trip??” Ashley asked looking suspiciously at the bag, as they all prepared to go out.
“Yeah baby, he is” George answered and the kids looked at him sadly.
“C’mon, its just for a few days not forever”Michael said as they walked outside the house, George put the bags into the boot. And they all settle in,side the car. “Before you blink your eyes I will be back” Michael added. Immediately Ashley blinked.
“But godfather, I just blinked and you are still traveling, you said before I blink right” Ashley said childishly and they roared in laughter.
“C’mon it was just an extaggeration Ashy” Alexa said smiling. While both Ashley and Adrian nodded, they continued to talk and laugh. George drove to the airport, They all came now, George was with Michael’s bag, after walking for few minutes, Michael stopped and took his bag from George, they hugged. The kids were standing together, he squatted to their level.
“So guys, what should I get for you from Dublin in Ireland ” He said.
“Well, get us anything that come from your heart, we love surprise gifts, right guys???”Alexa said smiling, her siblings nodded and each gave Michael a peck on his cheeks.
“Okay I will” He answered and stood up.
“George I will try contacting the agency to give you guys a cook okay” Michael said.
“Yeah, that will be nice because am sure you won’t want to come back to meet the house in ashes” Alexa said before her father could talk and her siblings giggled including Michael.
“OK, thanks buddy, but I can try my skills, you know that I learnt on online” George said grinning.
“C’mon, no Dad, you are a good cook but we are too honored to taste your food”Adrian said, Michael suppressed the laughter threaten to burst any minute.
“Yeah, such a great privilege but we will pass” Alexa said smiling.
“Yeah, we will, maybe next time” Ashley added.
“Okay, you have to go now, bye, and stay out of trouble, George stay out of trouble” Michael said and they waved each other goodbye. After George dropped his kids at school, he drove to the office, passed the secret passage, got to his office he checked his phone and saw a message from Michael.
**Buddy, please stay out of trouble, don’t give time to meeting people yet, be discreet, I will call you once I get to Dublin*** George smiled after reading it, he sat down and starting reading something on his laptop in front of him, his phone rang, he looked at the screen, he smiled and was about to pick it when Michael’s words eoched in his ears, he shoved it off and picked it.

Episode Nine
“Hi Brian” George said as he put the phone close to his ear.
“Hi buddy, how are you???” Brian said smiling from the other side of the phone.
“Am fine and you??” George asked.
“Am fine, but George people are saying you are dead or something, what is going on??? The media are saying some shit here??” Brian asked with seriousness.
“Oooh that, it’s Michael, he wants me to be discreet, because technically my life is in danger” George answered as he stood up from his chair.
“Oooh puh…. lease… You can’t be serious Michael is till dictating for you till now, C’mon cut me some slack” Brian said as he smirked.
“Noo, it’s not like that buddy, he’s just looking out for me” George answered.
“Excuse me, that’s shit men, ain’t you old enough to decide for yourself, goodness you ain’t ten” Brian said with displeasure.
“I know but…”
“Cmon no buts, this guy has been controlling your life including that of your business, I know you won’t believe me but this guy is after your business” Brian said and hissed.
“No friend, don’t say that”George said as he was trying to defend his best friend.
“See, George everyone’s life is in danger, especially if you are someone of worth, there is no point hiding from the media, it only brings more problems” Brian said.
“Hmmmmm” George hummed.
“You know what buddy, meet me at our usual s₱0t, let’s celebrate your recovery”Brian said smiling.
“But, Michael said….”
“Jeez!! Here will go again, Michael, Michael, Michael, give me some space, live your life the way you want, Michael has been the one controlling you, C’mon buddy, stop this shit” Brian said obviously frustrated.
“Okay fine” George succ-mbed.
“Speaking of the devil, where is he??? And if he tries to stop you from coming, I will break his nose, Jeez!! Let him give you some space, gosh! You are grown, George and not five” Brian said suppressing his anger which George didn’t take note of.
“It’s okay, I will, Michael went on a business trip for the company” George said pacing around.
“You see what am talking about, the guy is gradually taking these Enterprises from you, wake up for goodness sake” Brian said and huffed.
“Brian, that’s enough, just forget it okay” George said calmly trying not to get Brian upset, because both Michael and Brian never liked each other, the former sees him as a pretender.
“Fine, but later, you will say I was correct, just come around, I will be waiting okay”Says Brian
“Okay bye” George said and they both hung up.
“Well, I guess a little fun won’t be bad” George said as he picked his car keys and went out with his car, after few minutes of driving, he got to a beautiful restaurant, entered and looked around with his sunglasses fitted firmly to his eyes and his face cup, from a distance, a handsome white man waved his hands for recognition, George smiled and walked up to him, he sat opposite the man. George removed his sunglasses and face cap, few people were present,minding their businesses.
“Oh holy crap! George you are dashing” The man said as they shook hands.
“Brian, you don’t look bad yourself” George answered, the waitress came and gave then their orders after winking at George who only smiled.
“The ladies’ man, Cmon buddy, I don’t know why you are hiding, Jeez you are George Darlington for Christ sake” Brian said with a raised voice.
“For Christ sake, keep your voice down, I don’t want the media here” George said immediately.
“Oooh sorry, I forgot you are working on Michael’s orders, I forgot daddy gave you orders” Brian said mockingly which got the both of them laughing. Unknown to them, two people walked in, a male and a female, holding each other and laughing, behaving as lovers, they sat some distance away from them, the boy placed his phone on its sides which was resting on two bottles of drinks that they ordered, the tablet was taking record of both Brian and George, who were laughing and talking.
“So where did Michael go to???? Or wait were you guys the ones that accepted the big deal from Italy ” Brian said looking at George who was eating.
“Of course” George said smiling, Brian smiled but this time the smile was fake.
“I knew you guys will get it, I excepted them to come to the famous, popular and largest Enterprises, great!”Brian said feigning happiness, George who didn’t notice the unreal happiness only smiled.
“Thanks” George replied.
“That should be Dublin in Ireland ” Brian said, while George nodded, “But George you have to do something about the media and the rumors, cause sooner or later people will beginning to impersonate you to do dubious things, and I know you don’t want, neither do your daddy Michael” Brian said as he sipped his drink.
“Yeah, we will find what to do and please stop calling Michael my daddy” George said smiling, they talked about other things, after few minutes George announced he was going.
“OK, no problem, can I have your personal number and please don’t tell me Michael said you should give that too” Brian said and grunted which got George laughing.
“Fine, here” George said, as he took a pen from his pocket and a paper from Brian, he wrote the number and handed it to Brian who copied the number into his mobile phone, and dropped the paper on the table, Brian paid for what they ordered, they went out of the restaurant with George on his disguise. After bidded each other good bye with a hug, George drove off, Brian smiled with the corner of his l-ips.
“Oh noo!”Brian yelled as he checked a message that just pop up his phone, he got down from his car and ran into the restaurant, as he got into the restaurant he maintained a gentlemen posture, went to the table they just left and found out that the paper George wrote down his number was missing, he looked around, his eyes caught a note laying on the table some distance away, he went over and read it.
“Welcome back friend, you gotta double up, cause I think am two steps ahead of you. Cheers” the note read.
“F-ck You” he muttered, walked out of the restaurant, plugged a bluetooth small device in his ear, called someone and started to drive.
“Hello Brian, how….” The voice was cut short by Brian.
“Why the f-ck, didn’t you tell me Woods was around??” Brian yelled.
“Take a chill pill man, calm down” the voice said laughing.
“Andy I feel like killing you right now, are you nuts??”Brian asked. “Am heading to your company right now!” He yelled.
“Will you stop yelling, and don’t cut that throat of yours, OK see you soon, bye” Andy said and Brian hissed, they hung up.
Michael got to his suite, he dropped his bag, he called the reception for food, after that he went to the bathroom, he took his bath, as he came out with towel wrapped around his wa-ist, the bell rang, he went to the door opened it and saw a man with a tray of food covered, the man was lost in admiring his body.
“Excuse me, my meal, and stop the wild imagination going on in that head of yours” He said with a frown, which caught the young man unawares.
“Oooh, am sorry” he said, Michael collected the tray, he locked his door, he dropped the tray in the sitting room in his suite, after few minutes of dressing and arranging his clothes, he went to the sitting room, with his phones, laptop, tablet, books, and pens. He said down, began to eat, he checked the time and saw that the kids would have been back by now, he pick up his phone and started to video call George , who picked up almost immediately.
“Hey, you gotten there right, nice suite” George commended.
“Of course, thanks, where are…..” Before he could finish he heard a loud scre-m.
“It’s godfather!!!” Ashley scre-med, her siblings came over, they pushed George off, drew three chairs and sat down facing their father’s tablet, smiling at Michael who could not stop laughing at the miserable look on George’s face. George drew a chair and sat behind them smiling………
