Years Later……

Becca sat on the bed, crying, as soon as she heard the door knobs, she cleaned her face quickly and pretended to be asleep, Michael entered smiling as he looked at Becca who was covered with the duvets. Both Michael and George now live in a sperate houses, still in Nigeria, the compound not far from George’s, they both also regularly stay over each others house, the houses are so beautiful and big.

“Wakey Wakey sunshine” Michael said smiling as he pulled down her duvets slowly, Becca still had her eyes shut “Babe! Wake up, we gonna be late for the family reunion” He said as he pulled her up, she sighed and opened her eyes, Michael looked at her with surprise “Babe, why are you crying…. Don’t tell me, it is about the same issue???” He said sighing, he stood up and went downstairs to the sitting room, he open his laptop and began operating it. Becca came downstairs too, feeling remorseful.

“Ifemi (My love), am sorry” She said as she sat close to Michael who continued to operate his laptop “Am sorry….” She said but he didn’t answer “I remember when the man I married wanted to call his phone cause he has misplaced it, when he saw my call log, he frowned and jealousy filled him when he saw a particular name filled the log, he dashed to me and said “Who is this????” Becca said micmicing Michael voice ” I told him, it was ifemi, I translated it to him, his jealousy filled him and he asked again “So?? Who is he??” I remembered looking at his hurt expression and suppressing my laughter, I clicked on it and his phone began to ring, then his face broke into a smile, he carried me and pecked me….. I still remembered and when I do, I end up laughing….. I love you babe” Becca said smiling, Michael pulled her in a hug, he was smiling too, whenever he too remembers that day, he laughs.

“I also remembered someone asking me to put off the lights when I wanted to fufil my duties as her husband, I remembered after she woke, she looked around shyly cause she was sleeping on the sofa and I had put her on the sofa in order for me to wash our bed sheets which were stained with what made my day, her blo…..” As he wanted to say blood, Becca hit him playfully, she was smiling shyly “I remembered also helping her for a wh0le week before she became herself and….”

“Ahh…. It’s enough” Becca said smiling shyly, he dropped his laptop and placed her on his laps.She is now facing him.

“We will have babies soon, they will come, stop worrying, the doctor had checked us already and we are OK, so chill we will have them, am sure cause their would be mother will have attracted them with her generous act and your wonderful qualities, babe, am happy I married you, you give the street money every time, you help the poor, less privileged and orphanages, you give scholarsh¡ps, babe you have even made my business boom and more money are coming each day, am so happy I married you…… Even your colleagues at the broadcasting station say alot of wonderful things about you…. Am glad I did” Michael said to a smiling Becca, he k-ssed her. Becca works as a newscaster both for national and international stations and also a writer.

“Am glad I married you too” Becca said smiling “Let go take our bath” She said and they both stood up and headed their room, Michael pulled off his shirt “The scars are becoming faint” She said, Michael smiled, he had told her everything about himself, the day he told her she cried so much because of all he had passed through. But he didn’t want to scare her, so he didn’t tell her about his assignment and job that is protecting the Darlingtons which Becca herself was one now.

“Yeah, cause of you” He said and went to her, pulling off her nightie, he carried her in bridal style to the bathroom.

“Into the yellowoo!!!!!” A little voice sang happily, Ashley who was coming downstairs still in her pajamas heard it and frowned “Into the yellowoo!!!”The little voice sang again.

“What the hell are you singing!!!” A thirteen years old Ashley exclaimed, she laughed as she saw

the little girl singing, she went to her, they both smiled.

“Good morning Princess Ashley” The four years old girl greeted, standing up and hugging Ashley who carried her.

“Good morning Nova George Darlington” Ashley said tickling Nova, who laughed wildly.

“Isn’t it into the yellowoo??” Nova asked, Ashley laughed, as she dropped Nova to on her feet.

“Nope, it’s into the unknown, don’t worry, I will download the song for you and we will learn it together kiddo” Ashley said going to the kitchen with Nova trailing behind Ashley.

“OK” Nova answered happily but later frowned “Am not a kiddo, am four” She said frowning.

“Now, she is sounding as you when you were younger” Alexa said, Ashley and Nova looked back to see a beautiful and matured seventeen years old Alexa, they all laughed.

“Yeah” Ashley said, she and Nova greeted Alexa who waved at them, they moved to the dinning.

“Hi ladies” Adrian said smiling, he has grown more handsome, he is fifteen years old.

“Adrian!!!!” Nova exclaimed and ran to hug him, he hugged her too.

“Good morning” Ashley and Alexa greeted with Adrian hugging them after disengaging from Nova, Adrian is taller than his siblings, he has matured greatly.

“When is Nick coming back??” Ashley asked.

“He said toady” Adrian answered as Nova collected his headphone and placed it on her ears. Just then the door bell rang, Alexa went to open.

“Ahhh!!!” Alexa scre-med happily which attract all her siblings they all hug Nicholas.

“Hey!!! Crushy” Nicholas said referring to Alexa who hit him playfully on the shoulders. He had started calling Alexa that when he knew she once had a crush on him. They all disengaged.

“Hey man!!” Adrian said smiling and man hugging Nicholas.

“Hey Nova, Hey Princess!!!” Nicholas greeted again pecking them on their forehead, they giggled. Alexa and Adrian took Nicholas bags upstairs into his room.

“How was college??” Ashley asked, as she brought him cold juice.

“Fine but stressful” He said as he collected the drink from her, sat down on the sofa and drank it “Thanks” he said smiling, Nova sat down on his laps with the earphone on her ears.

“Twenty years old and second year in college, that’s great” Ashley said smiling, both Adrian and Alexa came down to join them. Adrian, Ashley and Nova shifted their attention to the television, an high school American movie which has started.

“Brother, how are you and School???” Alexa asked

“Fine but stressful, how is your best friend??” He asked smiling.

“She is good, I invited her to the reunion we having today, she was so happy”

“Awwwnnn, I want to see my baby, college in Florida can be hell sometimes but am glad I have Roland with me”

“How is he too??”

“He is good”

“Does he have a girlfriend??” Alexa asked nervously “I mean we chat and all that but….” She was saying when Nick laughed.

“C’mon Crushy, he doesn’t and am serious, he likes you alot too” Nicholas said and this sent Alexa all red.

“OK”

“Awwwnnn…. Someone is having butterflies!!” Nicholas said teasingly his step sister who jumped on him and was hitting him playfully.

“I love you more you know that” The kids heard George’s voice and together that all rolled their eyes.

“Lovebirds” Ashley said hitting her head in frustration.

“I love you more and more” Gabe said running downstairs but George caught her and they both k-ssed when it was getting intense, Nova scre-med.

“Jeez!!!!” Nova scre-med, the two disengaged and laughed nervously.

“Martins!!!” Gabe scre-med and ran to hug her son, who was standing. Everyone in the family knows why she calls him Martins and no one calls him that except her.

“I was wondering when you will notice me” Nicholas said laughing as they disengaged “Hey!! Champions” She greeted and they all hugged her happy.

“Good morning Mom” They all said. The first time George’s kids called Gabe, Mom , she was so happy that she celebrated to Michael and George’s amazement. Ashley went to her Dad and motioned for him to bend to her level which he did, they rest were talking.

“Is that an hickey on Mom’s neck???” Ashley asked smiling mischievously, George nodded laughing.

“Grandma said we having a party today, so go get dressed and come down to eat” Gabe told them.

“OK” They all answered and went up.

“Including you Dad, stop giving Mom love bites” Adrian yelled as he walked to his room, Gabe gasped, George laughed.

“What’s love bites??” Nova asked looking from both Alexa and Nicholas, Nick smiled looking for what to say.

“Nova, what other songs should I download, should I download into the unknown by Elsa in frozen??” Alexa quickly asked, Nova nodded happily and started talking about songs, she want Alexa to download.

“Nkem!!! (Means ‘My own’ in Igbo dialect, Gabe is from that tribe and so were George’s parents, Michael found out through the help of Williams)” Gabe yelled as George gave her yet another hickey, before she could hit him, he ran to his room. When Gabe gave George that name, he was first confused bit when Gabe explained to him, he had smiled like a child given candy.

“Mom!!! The food is burning!!!” A three years old handsome boy scre-med, Stella came running out scared ,when she got there, she looked at the food that wasn’t in anyway burning, she resist the urge to hit the boy before her who was playing a game on her tablet. She is now a top official in the agency.

“Desmond!!!” Stella scre-med, the boy looked up from his game, he chuckled.

“Isn’t it burning???” He asked innocently.

“Obviously Sir, it isn’t!” She yelled again.

“Chill Mom, I thought it was” Desmond said calmly which sparked cords in Stella, she shook her head, Desmond smiled at her and that broke her anger. Desmond might be three but he act bigger and more matured then his age, he started doing things so fast at a tender age when most of the kids in his age bracket can’t do, well she wasn’t really surprised because he mingles with the people she loved and cherished the most.

“Am so sorry Mom” Desmond said holding his ears, Stella was dragged at of her thought, she smiled as she just noticed that she was hærd staring at her son, who became sad.

“It’s fine baby” She said and k-ssed him on his forehead, he hugged her “Shoo!! Go get dressed we are going to grandma’s” She said as he dropped him to his feet, he smiled and was walking out.

“Good morning Daddy” He jumped on Raphael who hugged his son.

“Good morning darling” Raphael said smiling, they both talked for a while before Desmond went to his room, Raphael back hugged Stella.

“Hi Sweetheart” Raphael said k-ssing Stella’s neck.

“Hey, Diamond” She said and turned to k-ss him on the l-ips.

“Ohhhh, someone is getting bold” He teased, she smiled shyly.

“Babe, go get dressed and come down to eat, we shouldn’t go late to Grandma’s”

“Oh yeah” He said “My family sent their greetings”

“Ohh, how is Egypt treating them”

“Fine”

“I will call them later, I have missed them so much”

“I bet they have too” Raphael said giving Stella one last k-ss, he went to his room, Stella smiled.

“Brother Rolly!!!” An eight years old shouted immediately she saw Roland who was eating, she ran to hug him.

“Hey Sophie” He greeted hugging her.

“You just arrived right???” She asked and he nodded.

“Jeez!!! You are big” Roland said smiling, she smiled too “How many crusher and crushee” He asked playfully, she smiled hitting him on his shoulders.

“Ouch!!!” He feigned beehurt as they both sat down, he continued eating.

“Am sorry, don’t let Alexandria know, if not that chick will break my head” Sophia said and they both laughed “Dad and Mom knows you’re around” She asked.

“Yes, Mom almost scre-med my head off” Roland said, Sophia laughed and suddenly gasped.

“What about second brother Nick” She asked.

“I thought you forgot, he is back also” He asked.

“I can never forget, you guys were awesome, I am very lucky to have you two” She said smiling as tears welled up her eyes.

“Pretty girls don’t cry” Roland said making funny face, they both laughed.

“I will see him today” She said happily.

“Sophie, Roland!!! Go get dressed, we don’t wanna go late!!!!” Ruth yelled, the kids rolled their eyes.

“The scre-ming queen” Roland said in a whisper, they both laughed and went to their rooms.
