Chapter 27 🔞
“All of you shut the hell up!” Mrs Smith raged. “Sophia, you made this tea, if you are certain there is nothing in,side it, drink it” she faced Sophia daringly.
Sophia fell down on her knees and wailed, “I didn’t do such a thing. Please, believe me”
“Take the tea, drink and let’s see if you are saying the truth or they are right” Mrs Smith stood her ground, she wants her to prove them wrong.
Sophia went to take the tea from Stella. Stella purposely allowed the tea cup to fall down and everything poured on the floor, the cup split into two.
“What? She did that on purpose, she knows what she has done and she is afraid to die that is why she made the tea fall, did you guys see that?” Stella accused Sophia even more.
“Stella, it wasn’t me that did that, my hands didn’t even get to touch it, you let it fall” Sophia cried slumping to the floor. That was the end for her.
“Well, wether she likes it or not, the truth must be known today, call your new dog Ivy,” Gena said with a snap of her finger, “you have to do that asap!”
“My expensive dog, I just bought it yesterday and I am planning to raise it for security purposes” Ivy muttered going to get the dog.
When she brought the dog, Gena made it lick the tea and everyone watched earnestly to see what will happen.
Sophia wept. She knew this is a conspired allegation to destroy her, these three girls planned this evil against her, what did she do to them?
The dog started barking funnily, after some moments, it fell on the floor and stretched its legs in everlasting rest. Sophia covered her face and wished for death to come, the shame is just too much.
“What do you have to say about this, Sophia?” Mrs Smith asked.
“A clear conscience fears no accusations. Even if I die because of this, I won’t accept something I did not do. I know whoever did this just wants to tarnish my image, it is a success, I hope the truth comes out one day” Sophia said bravely and wiped her tears.
Mrs Smith crossed over to her side and slapped her cheek, “how dare you want to kill my son! I trusted you, Sophia, and I even promoted you before your seniors!! I guess I made a big mistake for doing that!!!”
Sophia held her cheek and looked down at her toes, she let her tears fall like rain on her toes, what more is called humiliation? This is what whoever poisoned the tea wanted to see.
“Mom, take it easy on her. Someone might plot this against her and you know it!” Justin defended sadly.
“Will you shut up you idiot! You would have been like this dog right here, and have you thought about that? Who else helped her make the tea? Nobody! She did it on her own and nemesis caught up with her!” Mrs Smith roared.
“This doesn’t make sense at all!” Justin walked out of the room angrily.
“Sophia, you are hereby ostracized, guards, take her away! And all of you get lost!” Mrs Smith commanded.
“Outrageous!” Someone commented as they all left to their different rooms, there will be something to gossip about till further notice.

Mrs Smith paced around his living room, he was impatiently waiting for a call from his men. He has been able to buy someone in,side Mrs Smith’s organization and the spy did a great job in giving them legit information today.
He tapped his foot angrily. Mrs Smith has really vexed him, how can she be against him with that Mr Mc Millan? He has to meet her and talk to her about it! There is no way she is going to defeat him.
“These bastards! Why don’t they ever report in time?!” He growled. “And to think that that woman aligned with my enemy!” He kicked the table in fury and jumped up wincing in pain.
“I must pay her a visit and she must accept to return back to me as my wife and Justin as well, I think I might need those assassinators now!” He soliloquized with a nod.
The door opened immediately, Flying dragon, Lee and Hitler came in,side.
“I hope you brought goodness? Where is the head of that ingrate?” He asked .
“Sir, we are very sorry, but they were able to escape” Lee reported, they bowed their heads sadly.
“I said it! You all are bunch of idiots! Those kids were able to escape from close to fifteen able bodied and armed men!!” Mr Smith said.
“It is my mistake, sir. I will make sure we find out where they are and bring him back here or kill him once and for all” Flying dragon said.
“Then why did you come back here? Why not go out there, find him and kill the idiot?! You only come back to say sorry, it is my mistake, animals!” Mr Smith mimicked.
“Okay, sir! Guys, let’s go!” Flying dragon command.
“There’s no need for the rush now, I know where they took him. Get the car ready, we leave in twenty minutes!” Mr Smith ordered and asked them to get the hell out of his sight.
“Let’s go!” Flying dragon said and they matched out.
“I can’t believe you would do this to me. Well, no matter what happens, I am still the father of your child, and there is nothing you or anyone can do about it” he scoffed.

Justin did not understand what really happened and how it happened, but one thing is clear to him, Sophia cannot do such a thing, she doesn’t look the type to hurt a fly.
“Why can’t mother see that? It is an obvious act!” He murmured to himself.
He has his doubts, after all, she looked innocent, but she was the girl in the s×× video and that is another story that is not clear to him.
Why would she want to harm him? Not just hurt him, but kill him and erase traces of him on earth? There’s a lot to tell in this story and Sophia should be the one to tell it.
He decided to go confront her again like the last time, he hopes it doesn’t end like the last time in quarrel. Why now? Now that she is finally starting to accept him? Now that she is beginning to trust him? Now that he almost made her accept to go on a date with him?
Now that he has almost made his mother accept to let him go visit his father with her? He had planned to stay there with her, just the two of them together, he would make her fall in love with him and he will show her how to love.
He dashed into the empty room his mother used as a cell for locking up any of the assassinators who messed up. Two hefty men stood on guard in front of the room.
“Open the door, I want to see Sophia” he commanded them.
“Am sorry, we were ordered not to let anyone see or talk to her” one of the men said.
“Are you for real? Do you know who I am? If you don’t want me to kick your ass, open the door now!” Justin growled.
The guards exchanged looks and opened the door immediately. Justin went in,side and they closed it behind him.
Sophia looked at Justin surprisingly. She didn’t expect anyone to see her just so soon until God knows when Mrs Smith will issue out punishment to her.
It feels just somehow to be blessed with so much bad luck. Happiness one second, sorrow the other. Maybe heaven has really cursed her for letting herself being used by her enemy.
“Have you come to tell me how bad I am? How you horrible of a person I am? Maybe, you have come to ask me why I would want to take your life? It just funny how one’s life move up and down and never landing at a soft ground or in paradise as we dreamt it to be” She shook her head.
Justin squatted down beside her and cupped her face. “You are wrong, I have come to know if you are alright. I don’t know what to say to you, it is just…gosh, that Stella, where did you know her from?” He asked worriedly.
“Just leave me alone, Justin. Don’t put me into more trouble, I don’t care anymore, I just wish someone will just kill me and so I can go to the other side and apologise to my parents and see if I can live a better life there” She murmured.
“I can’t leave even if I want to, Sophia. If I walk out of here, I will be leaving my heart behind and it just drives me nuts to see my heart hurting!” He muttered.
“Quit the pretence, I hate someone pitying me!”
“I’m not pretending, Sophia, I really love you from my heart and I just wish I can open my heart and show you” he said.
“That doesn’t even matter, especially when I don’t feel anything for you. And for the record, if I got the opportunity to kill you, I will jump at it, get lost!” She said with compressed l-ips.
“Really?” He grinned. “If you desperately wanted to kill me, you would have done that before now since you are the one that has been cooking for me and giving me my medications. Those two are mostly the easiest way to get rid of someone” he said thoughtfully.
“And maybe it just happened to be today and I got bad luck?” She pushed him away from her.
His sat down on the floor where she pushed him to and shook his head, “I wish I can believe that. I trust my instincts. I came to really ask you if you actually did that, but now that I think about it, you are as harmless as a dove”
“That’s your business!” She spat.
“I will do whatever I can to get you out of here, Sophia. Okay?”
“Whatever”
He stood up and went to kneel down beside her so he would be eye level with her. “You really hate me, huh?” He mused.
“What are you…” He shut her up with his l-ips.
He ended the k×ss quickly and stood up to leave, she hated herself for wanting more of that k×ss and loving the taste of his l-ips.
If it were on different grounds, she would have really loved this sweet guy, but he is her enemy and she can’t possibly feel anything like that for him, no way!
“Don’t panick, I will make sure to keep my promise” he said and left.
“All that will end when you regain your memory and know who I really am” she talked all to herself as the door closed.
