Chapter Eight :
Ares
” what’s wrong Ares…you’re off today ” Zar yell before cutting off the descendants head, placing my chin on my both hands I sit on a rock while they fight
” this isn’t fair, Ares we need your help here ” Xar yell receiving a bow to his right cheek sending him to the floor and hærd
” I don’t know men, something has been Brothering me for awhile ” I muttered still lost in thoughts, how the hell do I do that
” why don’t you help us out and we will help you solve your puzzle ” Zar was under a spell now, being lifted up and toss over the hærd wall making it break into two ” f-ck!!!!” He gro-n
Nodding my head I lift my hands say some ancient spells and they all burn into ash, they probably thought I was just another vampire with no special abilities ” you should have done that a long time…..look at my face ” Xar yell and I flash him a glare as he zip his mouth with his hands
” what’s the problem men, what got you thinking so damn hærd ” Zar walk forward, hands still robbing his back as he gro-n inwardly
” who knows where wonderland is and what people do over there ” Xar and Zar stood still, the only noise that could be heard in the forest was insects and the water fall, Zar and Xar has this surprise look on their face and I have no idea why ” forget it ”
” no no no no no” Xar rush his words and quickly step closer to me ” what do Mr hell want to do in wonderland…. I remember when we are kids you keep saying they are for babies”
” they are for babies, that’s why little mouse wants to go there badly ” I muttered exhaling, feeling exhausted from the stress of brain and how I run the entire town moments after leaving Zoe room to look for where wonderland is
” you mean your new pet” Zar walk closer ” tell me Ares, you haven’t drink her blood yet have you nor have you give her the first mark of location ”
” shut the f-ck up Zar ” gro-ning I watch him step back then rise his hands up ” am just saying dude, look we are your friends and if you stay without fresh blood you know what will happen….. I know you have been drinking animal blood being poured in your cup but that isn’t good enough, you need your pet blood…your face is turning pale ”
Zar sure is making a point but Zoe isn’t ready for such things yet, she is so fragile and still unripe, I don’t want to taint the flavour ” you might as well find another pet ” glaring at him I watch him zip his mouth with his hands
” I know where the wonderland is ” Xar said grinding widely ” but we have to tag along, am getting bored fighting all day ”
” fine ”

It turns out that Zoe brought her friend too and five of us stood in front of wonderland, starring at the place. Me Xar and Zar look around to make sure no body notice what have become of our silliness
” come Ares” Zoe grab my hands and pull me into the place, I look around, I never really came here when I was a kid and I still don’t want to be here ” do you like ice cream ” my gaze drop to meet a beaming Zoe, her wig properly fixed and I hate that dark hair
” wait a second little mouse ” taking off her wig I watch her face w¡den, she look at her friend who seem to be arguing seriously with Zar ” no one will notice the hair ” touching her red hair I bend down k-ss it and the five star tattoo. The k-ss of blindness
Pulling back I watch her face bright red ” ic…ice cream ” she muttered and I nod, holding my hands she drag me over there, the line long, over twenty people and I don’t have all day for this
to think me of all people standing here waiting, I never wait for anything ” I will get it for you ” moving to the lady that is selling I stood at the corner ” two ice creams ” her gaze met my silver eyes and I smile before glancing at her tits ” if you don’t mind ” her face turn completely red before handing over two ice creams to me, I heard murmurs before winking at her and walking away
” how did you ” Zoe eyes fill with curiosity and I only smile handing over the ice cream to her
” I can get whatever I want Zoe ” I muttered ” am a fine man ” I watch her Zoe chuckle while I frown at that
” aren’t you gonna lick some ” she asked and I shook my head, my c*cky smile returning to my face ” the only ice cream I want, happen to be well hidden in,side a blue summer dress ” god I love seeing her blush, she bit her l-ips and look away
Looking around I couldn’t find Xar anywhere but Zar and may was easy to find dragging a lollipop?? What’s that all about, averting my gaze back to Zoe I look around but she happen to have flee
Shoving hands into my pocket I walk around and s₱0t her trying to win something, she drop another coin, the tip of her tongue out and her face like someone about to go into war
She rob her hands together before holding the control monitor she tried many times before finally giving up “Ahhhhh!!!” yelling she use her leg to hit the machine ” damn you Lucifer!!!” I chuckle getting more amused watching her act this way in the open
” what are you trying to get ” I said pulling my sleeves up then shoving her away from the machine ” that mouse ” nodding I drop the first coin, break my neck, bend down and get to work
Zoe
I cover my mouth from laughing, I shouldn’t, Ares is trying all his best ” who fix this damn machine, nothing can be done ” he drop yet another coin determine to get the mouse for the twentieth time that evening
” we could just leave it Ares ”
He shook his head, sweat already flowing down ” am getting that toy or breaking this machine” he drop another coin after failing and when he finally caught the mouse I watch his face light up, taking it out he hand it over to me, smiling all over and for the first time it actually touch his eyes
” I want to get something for you ”
” huh??” Grabbing his hand I draw him to another game section, pay the owner five dollars, pick the gun and aim for the sheep being place there, inhaling I exhale again before shooting and successful hitting my target,always been good at shooting
Picking a angry and sad and lonely cat I hand it over to Ares, he stare at it for a while ” its angry ” he muttered and I chuckle at how childish he said it
” he is cute right, he looks exactly like you” he still have this confuse look on his face ” you’re the cat am the mouse right ” I giggle and watch him run his hands through his hair ” don’t you think of throwing it away, I work hærd for the cat, its a gift ”
His gaze met mine again and I just couldn’t read what his eyes are trying to say, for the first time I thought I saw something break down and a different gaze stare at me, fill with unknown emotions” a gift ” he muttered
I watch one of Ares friend, Xar walk over and whisper something into his ear, his eyes went back to the usual cold and scary. Whatever they told him must have been bad news ” time to go little mouse ”
” but the sun set is about…..” I wanted seeing it with him
” next time little mouse ” he muttered looking serious, I feel may stand behind me and whisper into my ears ” why are you dating this scary man Zoe” I could feel her shiver behind me, I do know Ares has a cold aura emitting from him but never knew it was this strong
” sorry Zoe, Ares is a busy man ” Xar apologized and I smile shaking my head ” is okay Xar” I smile while following behind these men
Xar seem to be the jovial one
Zar seem to be quite and I hærdly see him talk unless yelling at may for god knows what
But Ares seem to be extremely cold straight to the heart and to his eyes, what made him that way, why can’t I break through and just touch him where he needs ” Charles will drop you at your house little mouse, I will be gone for three days” nodding my head I move towards the car but stop
Not right
Turning around I walk towards Ares, his brows furrow confuse why am coming back again ” little mou…..” wrapping my hands around his wa-ist I hug him, bury my face into his chest
I feel him go stiff in my touch before exhaling and inhaling, his chest rise and fall. I stare at him, rise my feet and k-ss his forehead ” come home soon okay” he wasn’t smiling nor frowning, his face blank and I have no idea what going on in his head

Chapter Nine:
Ares
Stepping into the boat I sit still and stare at the cat toy in my hands, a gift huh, no body has ever given me a gift before nor have anybody yell at me not to throw it away ” are you holding a toy??” Xar asked looking surprise and I have to say am surprise myself
I still couldn’t believe I was the one doing all that in that park, lifting the toy I try dropping it in the water but Zoe happy face replayed in my head followed by her warning ” shit ” dropping the toy on my lap I lazily place my head in my hands closing my eyes
” I don’t believe this” Zar voice echo ” am tempted to kill that little mouse for changing you this…..” My gaze met his and I could see fear grip him immediately, I never glare at any of them but what he said triggered something in me
Zoe being hurt is not something I want to happen, even knowing that she is a descendants, she is prone to be hurt and badly but maybe the k-ss of blindness will hide that tattoo for awhile
Zar rise his hands up, something he always do to calm me down ” dude, I was joking, I will never hurt your pet. Am just worried that you’re forgetting about your health” averting my gaze from his I run my hands through my hair, since I met Zoe I haven’t tasted fresh blood and it is having a toil on me
” I will be fine ” I said not caring how harsh I sound or how impatient I am that this boat can’t speed further to get done with this work of mine and head back
My mind moves back to Zoe, she called where I stay home, just that word made me think for awhile, I never regard it as home just like Evelin always said ‘ you don’t have a home just like how you were never meant to be born into this world ‘
Closing my eyes I exhale, she is right but Zoe keeps saying things that makes me wonder, staying close to me will only put her in trouble and once her identity is revealed it won’t be a good thing
Zoe
” and they lived happily ever after ” I grin widely and stare at the twins ” how’s that, am I getting good ” Marston shook his head
” your story telling s-cks Zoe” Martin said sitting up but a smile remain there ” we missed you so much Zoe, come back home” I was surprise when martin of all hugged me, Marston is normally the emotional one ” Marston keep disturbing me to play when I want to study if you’re here he will disturb you instead ”
I see where this boy is going
Holding his cheek with my both hands I giggle and draw at them playful ” you little mouse ” the moment the words left my mouth my heart ache a little, this happen to be the second day and I miss badly already, where is he. What’s happening to him, is he alright
” am not a mouse Zoe ” martin yell shoving my hands off and I giggle while Marston jump on him ” you’re more like a smelling rat ” Marston grin widely and it martin turn to jump and bounce on him
I watch them fight, I know I should separate them but I have my own problems to deal with ” good night guys ” standing up I head to my room, mum and dad room light already off to signify that they are sleeping
Opening my room door I sit on the bed and hug my knee to my body, I really do miss him, even in class all I can think about is his smiles, his laughter, his naughty words and the way he bite his l-ips
I cover my face, why can’t I get him off my mind, I just hope he doesn’t get tired that he needs another pet because I don’t think I can live without him anymore
Laying down I exhale, tomorrow making it the last day, Charles did say am expected to come back to Ares house tomorrow and I get to see him finally, this time I will make sure I don’t stay five minutes without touching him
The moment my head touch my pillow I fell asleep

“I don’t believe you Zoe, he looks so scary ” may grumble while we hold our tray of food to our table to eat ” he looks handsome but still scary ”
” he isn’t scary when you get to know him may ” I find my self feeling angry about what she is saying ” he is just different ”
” if you say so Zoe ” taking our sit I stare at may closely ” what’s my hair colour may ” I asked, my curiosity making the better of me but I did to know, I didn’t put on any wig to school today
” black of course, why are you asking ” she stare at me like am going insane and I only smile, maybe Ares truly is a wizard
” is nothing may” I muttered ” come to think of it, why do you keep arguing with Zar ” I watch her face goes red and she quickly bite the cheesecake on her plate ” he has blue hair Right” I asked and she nod
” he is annoying okay, I just had it with him ” may mumble” he even tried taking a child lollipop, that’s insane and then he….’m” I watch may face turn completely red as she swallow
” he what??” I asked, the suspense killing me, I need to know what the quiet Zar did to may
” he…he…he bit my neck ” she muttered, that wasn’t what I was expecting, I knew they is know to that story ” you won’t understand Zoe…. I felt his hands around my wa-ist and his tongue circling an exact s₱0t on my neck like he plans on eating me later ” may doesn’t usually look this flush while talking about guys she let touch her but with Zar, she looks like a V-rgin
” I thought you said, be careful of people with colour hair ”
” I am but that Zar was the same guy that kidnapped from the ball party, almost killing me ”
Shaking my head I chuckle at her ” forget about him may, they are other fish in the sea” may gaze met mine
” maybe” meeting my gaze again we both chuckle and went back to finishing our meal

Running I glance at my wrist watch, its already seven, am late but thankfully Ares won’t be back by now. Shit I forget about this damn rule and went shopping with may
Stopping right in front of the house I exhale, Ares shouldn’t be back yet, I pray he isn’t, I don’t want to get punished over nothing
Opening the door a cold air swirl round my body and I swallowed hærd, my gaze travel to the couch close to the fire, Ares sit there, his gaze watching me ” you’re late ”
Crab, shit, f-ck.
Stepping in I close the door, swallow again and head towards his direction, standing right in front of me I wonder what happen to him, his eyes doesn’t usually look this cold when starring at me
And he doesn’t smoke, I haven’t seen him smoke before. The cigarette place in his mouth looked a little huge and I watch him inhale before exhaling ” am sorry ” I muttered but he didn’t grin nor frown
I couldn’t read any meaning to that look on his face, cold shiver run through my spines, I hate seeing him this way ” are you scared Zoe” he is calling me Zoe not little mouse
” no” I said but his face didn’t change, he stayed still for awhile before standing his feet and blowing the air to my face, I tried acting cool, try not to cough but I failed” what happen Ares….why are you like this ” tears drop from my eyes as I meet his gaze ” why are you trying to scare me away from you” I sniff ” what did I do wrong ”
” rules are rules Zoe ” I shake my head, my tears flowing freely now ” my name isn’t Zoe, its little mouse not Zoe ” I was yelling and crying
Ares run his hands through his hair take off the cigarette and look elsewhere, I could see his hands trembling and when his gaze met mine I was sure my Ares was back, wrapping my hands around his neck I pull him down and k-ss his l-ips, just like the way he did to me, he didn’t respond at first, he stood shocked and let me do the k-ssing and the moment he respond his hands went to my wa-ist and draw me closer to his body
I felt him open his mouth, waiting, I had no idea what to do next so I follow instinct and dive my tongue to meet his, he gro-n in the mouth before taking full control, I was running out of breath but I don’t want the k-ss to stop either, he taste like cigarette and something else I couldn’t get
Breaking the k-ss I still couldn’t read his expression ” my little mouse seem to be ripping huh ” he grin before cleaning the tears off my face ” don’t cry anymore okay ” more tears flow down the moment he ask I should stop crying ” if you don’t stop I will punish you little mouse ”
Cleaning my tears I sniff” you aren’t angry anymore ” I asked still sniffing
” I wasn’t angry little mouse ” I notice his face has gone pale over the past days ” go to bed” shaking my head I hug him tight
” I missed you, stay with me for a while ” for some reason I thinks he hate hugs, he has gone stiff in my arms again ” please ” he exhale
” fine ” I am still wondering what happened to him during this past few days that he needed a cigarette and his hands trembling
