After the wedding, we went to Blake’s wedding house, that is, the house he got as a present.

We got there, and entered, he looked ate m….but I avoided eye contact……..we got to our room, and I sat down on the couch.

He sat down close to me, smiling.

“am so happy we are finally together”,he said, trying to peck me, but I shifted away.

“look, I agrred to marry you just so that my child can be with his father. Apart from that, I nothing else with you, so stay away from me”,I replied firmly.

I entered the bathroom and showered, I came out, wore my nighties and laid at the other end of the bed.

I closed my eyes, pretending to sleep, as tears flowed freely.

I decided to let her be for now….I showered, and laid at the opposite end.

I know she ain’t sleeping….

I woke up, but Richie wasn’t in bed…..a sweet aroma aroused….I guess she is cooking.

I walked downstairs, and met her in the dining, eating.

”good morning”,she muttered.

“ya, good morning, how was ya night?”,I asked, but she didn’t reply.

She carried her food upstairs………hmmmn!

I could barely sleep last night ………the thought of what dad blurted put yesterday was just too harsh…..

After I was thrown out…..I pleaded to speak with them, dad cane out.

“dad, why are you going this to me?”,I asked, as tears dropped from my eyes.

”i have tried for you”,he replied.

“what do you mean by that?”,I asked.

“maybe its time for you to find yourself’,he replied, getting me more confused.

“dad….am not getting”,I replied.

“am not your father”, he blurted out.

“what??”,I shouted.

“well, yes, infact, we are not your biological parents. You were found in the bushes, and my wife, out of care and sympathy took you in”,he replied.

I stared at him in shock……as he slammed the gate.

Its been two days now, and I can’t get through to lisa, so I decided to pay her a visit, but I was told she doesn’t live there anymore. Where else could she be living?

I got confused, i drove to the park. Wait, this looks like Lisa’s car, lemme not get so convinced.

I stylishly passed the corners to confirm if its actually her car. Yes! Its her car. I peered through the tinted glass, I could see someone in there, so I knocked at the window severally, but no one opened.

I called her number, but it wasn’t available. What the heck! I need to open this car immediately.

I called some car experts immediately and they got the car open.

Oh my gosh! Lisa! I knew it, she is unconscious. I quickly rushed her to the hospital and called my brother. He arrived immediately.

“doctor, how is she?”,Michael asked anxiously.

“am sorry but you see, because of the stress, lack of food and suffocation, she lost the baby in her womb”,the doctor replied.

“what! She lost the baby?”,I asked.

“wait, so I was right, lisa was pregnant all along”,Michael blurted out.

“brother, this is not the right time to talk about this”,I replied.

“doctor, can we see her?”,I asked, and he nodded and left.

I opened my eyes slowly as I felt sharp pains on my abdomen.

“my baby, my baby”,I muttered, then Nora and Michael walked in

“what is it?”,Michael asked, since my hands were still bound on my abdomen.

“nothing”,I muttered softly..and he breathed out loudly.

Nora sat down close to me.

“what happened?”,she asked.

I turned to the other side of the bed, not wanting to talk about it….tears flowed freely from my cheeks.

Nora patted me……“i…went to your house and I was told you don’t live there anymore. Where fo you live?”,nora asked.

“i…I don’t have a family and am homeless”,I replied.

“what…what do you mean by you don’t have a family and you are homeless?”,Michael asked.

I turned to face him…”pls let’s go home first”,nora offered, and all went to her house.

We got home, nora brought some food for lisa while I just sat there speeches.

Lisa……pregnant! There Is more to this than meets the eye.

Nora left the room to take a quick shower.

“i thought we were friends”,I finally spoke.

“we are”,she replied.

“then why did you hide it from me?”,I asked.

She breathed out loudly.

“i couldn’t muster the courage to tell you”,she replied.

“so now I know partially, would you mind explaining?”,I asked.

She stared st me for a while.

“its a long story?”,she replied.

“well, am all ears”,I replied

“ok. It all started out of my foolishness, I disobeyed the woman I called my mum and went for a school prom. There I met blake who spiked my drink and got me pregnant. He also did same to the girl I call my sister. During this period, I met you! Blake got exposed with tyr help of my friend, and so…..he was asked to choose whom to get married, cause he can’t marry two sisters”,she said..and paused.

“then what?”,I asked.

“then, he choose me”,she replied.

“then how come you are not married by now?”, I asked.

“well, I rejected him and somehow convinced my sister into marrying him, now they are married”,she replied and nora walked in.

“so..why then did you say you have no family and you are homeless?”,I asked.

“well, before their marriage, my mum threatened me to get married………..to you by all means, even if it means deceiving you, but I refused. I thought she was kidding when she said that after the marriage was over, I would leave the house. After the marriage, I drove back home and the gate man refused to open the gate. He threw my luggage, and when I persisted………my sad came out and told me I am not his real child, that I was picked on the streets, that’s how I ended up in the car”,she replied.

“wow! So because you ain’t their real child, they treated you like this? What was the use of the help then?”,nora asked.

“sorry you passed through all those”,I said.

“come michael, let’s leave her to rest, she must be exhausted”,nora said and we left the room.

“mum, how could be this heartless?”,I half yelled on heating that lisa was sent out.

“what do you mean by that?”,dad asked.

“mum, dad, how could you do that to lisa?”,I half yelled.

“didnt we try on her, I mean we took her this far”,mum replied and I scoff.

“mum, lisa sacrificed for my happiness. She let me have blake, don’t you see? Is this how you could repay her?”,I yelled.

“Shut up”,dad fired, and landed a slap on my cheeks.

“you want that good for nothing girl to ruin our reputation by staying here and giving birth to that bastard?”,dad asked.

“so, its all about you! Did you think where she will stay, how she will feel? Mum, dad, from today henceforth, you are no longer my patents, I down you guys”,I yelled and ran upstairs.

I entered Lisa’s room, I can feel her presence here…I touched the bed. Lisa am so sorry, heaven knows I love and care for you.

I went to my parents room, something kept pushing me there, I entered and found some documents.

I quickly sneaked out of the room with all the documents and head out.

I stared at my parents who were suspicious of me, as I sullenly walked out of the gate.

I drove as fast as I could back to my home…….I need to access this papers to be sure of what I saw.

I got home and met blake waiting anxiously…..I don’t have time for him, I passed without uttering a word, but he oulked me back..

“pls leave me, I have something urgent to do”,I said, but he won’t let go.

I pushed him aside and ran to my room….and locked the door.

I brought out all the documents.

Oh my gosh! My parents….my patents…..oh my gosh….

That house belongs to lisa and her ~brother. Her name is actually lisa and that house is their family house which was passed on by her patents to her… She still have more properties…….. And the company my dad always c~ laims he owns is hers and her brother..but who is her brother?

Lisa needs to know this! My patents are deceitful people…..am ashamed of them.

I called lisa and she picked on the third call……

“pls where are you?”,I asked.

”well, look at this”,I said,handing her the documents.
