“For the abortion, Brianna, I’m sorry but I just can’t accept that you are pregnant for me”.

I bit my l-ips so I wouldn’t cry again. Its like he’s paying me for the s-× we had weeks ago.

I was so wrong about him, he’s just like the others, they are all the same. But I get it, I’m used to being rejected all the time.

“You are seriously doing this, Liam?”. I ask tearfully.

“Brianna, I’m sorry but I don’t think I can father another child right now”.

“I get it”. I sniffed back tears. “Its okay, you don’t need to emphasize on anything”.

“I’m sorry”.

I stared at the cheque. “And here I was thinking we had something special, I guess it was just a fling after all”.

“I’m with Lauren”.

“I know”. Tears rolled down my tears.

I stared at the cheque not making attempt to clean my tears. I quickly rip it into different shreds of paper throwing it at him.

“What the f–k?”. He cussed. “What the hell was that for?”.

“I’m not some cheap slut you can pay just because I had a one night stand with you”.

“I don’t think of you as a one night stand”.

“Then what? You think of me as a bitch just like Lauren described”.

He frowned a little. “She’s my girlfriend”.

“I’ll abort the baby”. I look at him. “But with my own money”.

“I didn’t mean to__”.

“I hate you”. I blurted out.

“What?”.

“You just proved me right that all men are the same and can never be trusted”. I yell at him.

“Its not my fault Nick cheated on you”. He yell back. “You really need to stop with this comparing me to all your ex boyfriends”.

“I hate the day I met you, you are just one of the things I’d like to forget in my life”.

“Don’t make me sound like bad person”.

“I don’t care, Liam. I hate that I thought of you differently, I hate the fact that we had s-× together, I hate the day I saw you”.

“You hate me now?”. He let out a scoff. “If you do then why are you still standing here why don’t you leave?”.

“I will leave but I will never set foot in your house or your life anymore”.

“Mummy?”.

I looked away to see Lili watching us with tears in her eyes. Has she been listening?

“Are you leaving?”.

I wanted to hug her or at least hold her in my arms but resisted the urge. Instead, I turn around and went straight for the door.

“Daddy, she’s leaving, why is she leaving me? Daddy, please stop her”.

I heard Lili’s cries as I walked out of the house but ignored it. I took a deep breath then headed towards the front gate.

In seconds, I was out and glanced back at the large buildings. Don’t worry, Liam. I will fulfill your wish of never seeing you again.

I flagged down a cab and got in. I told him the address and my eyes start piling up with tears as the cab drove past Liam’s place.

The cab pulled over at Chloe’s apartment and I hand him money as I step out of the cab wiping my cheeks clean.

I walked to the door and try to open it but realized its locked. What the heck? Chloe never leaves the apartment on a Saturday and I sighted her car at the nearby curb.

I then sit on the pavement recalling all what Liam had said to me. I shouldn’t have told him about the pregnancy anyways, I should have aborted it in the first place.

What he said still struck me that Lauren is his girlfriend. Why does she get all the good things and not me? Huh? Why?

I drew my knees up to my chest close as I sniff back tears. I never get anything, she has her family and everyone beside her.

I have only Chloe, only she has been by my side since college. My Dad rarely checks up on me while My Mum is dead. Wow, my life is going great.

Tears roll down my cheeks as I sob quietly resting on the door. I hate my life, I just hate everything going on right now, I might get rid of the baby without Chloe knowing.

“Brie?”.

I look up to see Chloe step out of a fancy car rushing down towards me but I made no attempt to get up.

She crouched in front of me. “Hey. Look at me, you okay?”.

I nodded in response and noticed Lucas was behind her. He shouldn’t be here, for now, I hate anyone relating to Liam.

“Leave”. I say getting up.

He stopped. “Excuse me?”.

“Chloe, come on, tell him to leave, whats his doing here?”.

“Brie, he’s my boss. Are you okay? You never act this way”.

“Its probably because his dumb ass of a friend rejected me”.

Chloe paused for a moment before opening the front door for me to go in.

“I’ll see you in the evening”. I heard Lucas tell Chloe.

I walked right into the apartment and head straight for Chloe’s bedroom. Immediately, I get there, I fall on the bed sighing.

“He didn’t want the pregnancy?”.

“Nope”. I said popping the ‘p’.

I face her. “I don’t want to be a single mother, not at all”.

“You won’t”. She sighed me. “You have me, remember?”.

“So what was it that Lucas was talking about?”. I asked trying to change the subject.

“Its a company party, Brie and apparently, I’m his personal assistant so I have to show up there”.

“Oh”. I mouthed. “Whats the name of the person hosting it?”.

She stared at me keenly. “Its your Dad, um, Gustave Hills”.

“Oh, thats nice of him not to invite me to the party”. I said sarcastically.

“You didn’t know?”.

“Chloe, my Dad rarely cares for me so why would he invite me to his own company party?”.

“You are his daughter”.

“I’m a mistake”. I reminded her.

She rolled her eyes. “Brie, you are going to attend that party”.

“I wasn’t invited, remember?”.

“You are his daughter, remember?”.

“She really looked horrible”. Lucas narrated to me as the party was going on.

“I guess I hurt her pretty bad”.

“So she was pregnant for you?”.

“Yeah”. I drank out from the wine.

“Then why did you reject it? Lili has always wanted a sibling and also a new Mummy”.

“Well I’m not ready for one”. I shot back. “I didn’t mean to hurt Brianna but you know how Lauren and her Dad is”.

“How does that correlates with the topic in hand?”.

“Gosh!! Lucas, what will Gustave think of me if he found out I impregnated his other daughter while dating Lauren”.

“So what? You are going to choose Lauren over poor Brianna and her baby, its your baby too”.

“I’m doing it for my company”. I replied.

“You are being selfish right now, incase you don’t know”.

“I’m not being selfish, if me being in a dumb relationsh¡p with Lauren increases my shares then its worth it”.

“Over Brianna and your unborn child?”.

“Yes, Lucas”.

“So how did Lili take it?”.

“She has been crying but I guess Nanny will handle her”.

“f–k guys”. Nick sat with us. “I regret ever breaking up with Brianna”.

I immediately looked at him. “What?”.

“Look over there, she’s damn hot”.

I turned to the entrance to see her coming in with her crazy best friend. She was really beautiful, more than even Lauren.

I turned to Nick to say something but he wasn’t there. Weird, I glanced at Lucas to see he was staring at crazy chick, Chloe.

I looked back at Brianna, she was dazzling in a black strapless dinner gown which had a slit by her left leg showing off her supple skin.

The dress only had cleavages at the bust side. Her face was so natural, no makeup needed at all while her hair was let down.

I loved the way the curls rolled off her back elegantly, not even the ladies here can pull that off but she did, Brianna did.

I felt my heartbeat increase as I stared at her beauty. Gosh!! I suddenly regret rejecting that child, I guess I’ll talk to her later.

She looked across and our eyes met, she flip her long eyelashes blinking nervously before looking away. I have to make her talk to me.

I looked away from Liam’s gaze. Why is he staring at me that way? I saw that Chloe was with her boss already.

I need to make use of the restroom, maybe I can check if there’s anything on me, I’m still confused on to why Liam is staring at me.

I stood up and headed to the restroom, no need for servants directing me. This was my home before I decided to leave.

I got there and went in going straight to the sink but stopped as I heard sounds. It was definitely from one of those doors.

I turned back and walked nearer towards the closed door. I place my ear on the door and what the hell?!!!.

“Oh Nick, yes!! f–k me h-rder”.

I step away from the door shaking my head as I moved backwards. So shameless.

“Oh yeah, yeah”.

I gasped. Was this really for real? I could clearly hear the s-×ual m0-ns. Like Oh My Gosh!! Seriously?

I stared at the door. I could clearly hear the familiar voice, it was that cheap bitch who is called Lauren.

Almost immediately, the door opened and they came out. Nicholas, my ex boyfriend and Lauren, my step sister.

Nick stopped seeing me, he gaped in utmost surprise. I guess he didn’t know I’d be here, right?

“Really? Nick, f–king your best friend’s girlfriend? You never stop, do you?”.

Lauren stepped out adjusting her dress then stopped seeing him. I guess she was in shock too. Too bad.
