{Fake Mole }

~ SCHOOL TRIP ~ CAMPING GROUND~

“Are you sure that Katrina is the girl we’ve been searching for?” Beth asked

“It is, I saw the mole on her shoulder” Lily replied.

“But that’s impossible, have known Katrina for a very long time and I can confidently tell you that she doesn’t have a mole ” Beth replied.

“Maybe you didn’t notice it but I overheard her talking in the rest room a while ago. I was following the other two girls who were at the party that night and I heard her discussion with them, just to make sure am right, I even went as far as to open the door of the cubicle they were all in and I saw the mole on her shoulder” Lily said while Beth kept shaking her head in denial.

“We can confirm it our selves, she’s currently heading to her tent” Lily told her.

“Then let’s go” Beth said as they made their way to Katrina.

They got to Katrina tent only to see her coming out of it.

“What a surprise Bethany” Katrina said as she stared at the both of them.

“We came to check some thing” Beth said wanting to touch her but Katrina move away.

“What are you trying to do?” Katrina asked glaring at the two of them and quickly Lily went to her, holding her hand while Beth pulled down her dress which revealed the mole.

“It is true” Beth muttered as she let go of Katerina who pulled out of their hold.

“Are you both crazy?” Katrina yelled at them before storming off.

“See! She’s the only girl who attended the party with a mole on her shoulder. It makes her the mystery girl” Lily said breaking Beth’s heart.

“Are we going to tell Calvin about it?” Katrina asked.

“We must, since searching for her have been his goal” Beth replied slowly.

“Are you okay with it? I mean you are In love with him and we just found out about his mystery girl, why don’t we just keep shut and….”

“We can’t do that. Searching for Calvin mystery girl have been our priority and now that we’ve found her, it’s only right that we let him know” Beth replied.

” Fine then. Are you going to come with me?”

“I think it will be best that you tell him about it yourself, I will head back to our tent to get some sleep ” Beth said with a sad expression on her face while Lily watch her walk off.

“Poor thing, she fell in love with the wrong guy” Lily murmured before going in search of Calvin.

She found him in the tent he shared with Willow and ignoring Willow who kept waving at her, she took him to a private spot where she told him of her findings.

“It’s Katrina, Your mystery girl is Katrina” Lily said while he stared at her in shock.

“But Beth told me that….”

“Beth was wrong, she wasn’t sure and so she made the wrong assumption but I found out tonight that Katrina is the girl you’ve been searching for ” Lily informed while Calvin stood still, lost in thought.

“I suggest you go and take a look at Katrina mole to confirm if she’s really the one” Lily said and immediately Calvin took to his heels, in search of Katrina.

Lily was about to head back to her tent when Willow stood in her path.

“What are you doing with Calvin? Are you dating him?”Willow asked.

“Get out of my way” Lily said trying to walk past him but he held her by the arm.

“I can’t let that happen, you can’t date some one else” Willow stated.

“And what right do you have in demanding such?” She asked.

“The right of me being your boyfriend” he replied which got her laughing.

“Are you still on that?”Lily asked and he nodded.

“I still want you to pretend to be my girl friend ” he said to her.

“And have told you that am not interested, if you look around you there will be some one willing to do it” she replied pulling her hand out of his.

“And have told you that Its you I want and I won’t change my mind” he replied moving towards her but his foot hit a rock which got him falling towards Lily.

They both ended up falling on the floor but Willow took all the pain since he had landed on the bare ground and Lily on top of him.

“Are you okay?” Lily asked as she still lay on top of him looking worried mean while Willow’s heart began thumping real hard.

He didn’t know why his heart was acting strange but what he did know is that Lily is the cause of it.

“Are you okay?” Lily asked again wanting to get off of him but Willow wrap his arms around her waist, pinning her to him.

“What are you doing?” She asked wanting to get off but his strong hold didn’t allow her to escape.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I do know that If I don’t this then am gonna regret it ” he said to the bewildered Lily and before she could stop him, he pulled her head towards his and kiss her on the lips.

Beth was in her room, sleeping soundly when she heard some one foot step.

Opening her eyes she saw Calvin standing by her bed side while he watch her.

“What are you doing here? Your suppose to be with Katrina” She said sitting up while he sat on her bed.

“Why must I be with her?”

“Because she’s your mystery girl” Beth replied feeling sad at that thought.

“Then would it please you to know that I don’t care about Katrina being my mystery girl ?” He asked.

“Uh! Do you mean that?” She asked in return while he nodded with a smile curving his lips.

“I don’t want my mystery girl, it’s you I want Bethany” he said moving towards her.

“I love you Calvin” Beth said moving towards him too while wanting to kiss him but the ringing of her alarm jolt her out of her dream and back to the present world.

Beth sat up, wincing gently when the morning sun kept drifting into her eyes.

She’s thinking about Calvin when she’s meant to forget him, she thought as she shut off the alarm before it wake Lily up.

Calvin have found his mystery girl and there’s no doubt that the kiss they shared last night is the last thing in his mind, she should try to forget him just like she planned on doing and the only way to succeed is by continuing to avoid him.

She went to the ladies rest room and was washing her face at the tap which was position out side when some one stretched a towel at her.

“Dry your face before you get wet” Calvin said beside her and that got her turning to him.

“Good morning” he greeted, glowing more than ever and there’s no doubt that it’s the effect of finding his mystery girl.

“Good morning” she replied turning to leave.

“Beth you…”

“Eric wait up!” She called running towards Eric who was having his morning exercise.

“Morning” Eric said stopping to greet her but as soon as she got to him, she pulled his hand, urging him to run along while Calvin stood at the same spot watching them.

When they were out of his sight, she turned to Eric who was starring at her with interest.

“What was that about?” Eric asked.

“What was what?” Beth asked in return.

“What’s going on between you and Calvin?” Eric asked.

“Nothing! Why do you ask?” She said in return.

“Yesterday. How he took off with you didn’t seem like….”

“Oh that! He only wanted to ask me some thing. You shouldn’t concern yourself with that” she said quickly.

“Fine then but your phone? ” He asked which got her remembering the phone which Calvin still had with him.

“It’s in my tent. See you later Eric” she said rushing off to her tent before he asked her another question.

~ SOME HOURS LATER ~

“Hello every one, I am mark and I will be your Emcee for today” A man dressed in a purple tux said while all the students yell out in excitement.

“So now this game we are gonna play, I will be needing five handsome guys and when I say handsome, I mean the very handsome ones” he said just as some of the female students went to pull out Eric, Calvin,Dexter, Willow and a junior student who happen to be very handsome.

“So what you guys are going to do for me now is to find a very pretty girl amongst the girls and you will piggy back them, running with them towards the cake hanging on that rope, the first girl to finish eating the cake tied to it wins” he said while the boys went to find their partner.

Eric got to Beth first, choosing her as his partner while Willow went to Lily who at first tried to refuse but having a lot of eyes on her, she decided to go with him. Dexter went to Josephine while the junior student found a pick amongst his friends.

Calvin was watching Beth who was now talking to Eric when Katrina approached him.

“If you have no one,you can just choose me” she said and Calvin who was angry at watching Eric and Beth together chose Katrina.

The boys piggy back the girls as they were told to and when the whistle was blown, they ran towards the cake while the girls began eating the cake in a rush.

Beth was the first one to finish eating making she and Eric the winner.

She yelled out in triumph while she hugged Eric in joy.

Seeing this Calvin let Katrina down sadly before walking off.

He was still thinking about Eric and Beth when Willow caught up to him.

“What do you want?” Calvin snapped at him.

“Relax, I only came here to help ” Willow replied with his hands up.

“Help with what?”

“You are interested in Beth right? ” Willow asked but Calvin chose to ignore him.

“Well I know of a way to help you but you only have to follow my lead and in exchange you help me with Lily” Willow suggested.

A while later, Beth was on her way to the rest room when Willow approach her..

She was at first surprise since Willow have never spoken to her apart from Dexter.

“Can you help me take this to Calvin, I forgot to give it to him” Willow said putting Calvin phone in her hand.

“But I….”

“If you walk down the road and take a turn, you will get to a tall tree where Calvin will be. He’s getting some fresh air there, you should also get some fresh air too” Willow said running off while leaving her with Calvin phone.

Finding no one she could ask to help her give the phone to Calvin, she decided to go her self.

She was almost there when she got a call from his phone.

Starring at the caller she was surprised to see Katrina.

At first she didn’t want to pick but when the call grew constant, She finally answered the call.

Calvin who was waiting for Beth to show up turned only to see Katrina approaching him.

“What are you doing here?” He asked.

“I came to give you this” she replied showing him his phone.

“How did that get in your hand?”

“Well Beth just so happen to give it to me. She picked when I called and I offered to come give it to you, she didn’t even try to hesitate” Katrina said while Calvin took the phone from her and turned to leave.

“Why did you say that am not the mystery girl you are searching for?” Katrina asked behind him and that stop him in his tracks.

“That’s because the mole you have on you is fake” He replied.

He had gone to Katrina after Lily told him about her being his mystery girl and the mole she had wasn’t real and most importantly, he got a call which convinced him that Katrina is not the mystery girl he is searching for.

“How on earth do you know that?” Katrina asked.

“You tell me, am eager to know how you found out about me searching for my mystery girl and why you pretended to be her ?” He said.

” Am not pretending,I am saying the…..”

“Lies! You aren’t the girl am searching for because my mystery girl doesn’t have a mole, so you’ve failed in hooking me” Calvin said before running off while Katrina clench her fist in anger.

She had only did what Sarah, Calvin elder sister told her to do.

Her visit to Calvin house the other day got her meeting Sarah and when she told Sarah about being in love with Calvin which was part of her plan to steal Calvin from Beth who was in love with him, Sarah told her about Calvin mystery girl and even went as far as to show her the things she found in his study.

And so Katrina went to get a fake mole done on her shoulder wanting to pretend to be his mystery girl but the jerk caught her, who could this mystery girl be? She thought ruffling her hair in frustration.

Beth was almost at her tent when she heard her name being called.

She turned only to see Calvin running towards her.

“Why didn’t you bring the phone?” He asked breathing heavily.

“Katrina is the mystery girl you’ve been searching for and it’s only right that I give it to her” Beth replied.

“And what if I say that Katrina is not the girl am searching for?” He asked.

“That’s impossible because I saw the ….”

“The girl am searching for doesn’t have a mole ” Calvin said interrupting her.

“What do you mean?”

“I got a call from my investigator and he made it clear to me that what I had thought to be a mole was a piece of candy which was glued on her shoulder” He replied.

“Really? Then we’ve been searching wrongly the whole time. What else did the investigator tell you?”

“After leaving me that day, a CCTV camera spotted her and he sent me the picture” he replied again.

“So can you identify her?” Beth asked.

“I can”

“Who is she? Why is she making it hard for you to find her?” Beth asked.

“Because on that day while trying to leave me, she got into an accident which robbed her of some of the memories of that night” He said and that prevented her from asking the next question.

“Do you get it now, Beth?” He asked.

“I….I …..I still….still don’t get it but….on that day…..I also got into an accident which left me at the hospital ” Beth confessed while he smiled at her.

Moving towards her he took hold of her hand and stared down at her with so much love in his eyes.

“You are my mystery girl Beth, you are the one have been searching for” he admitted…..
