A cold fear swept through me as I stared at the body on the floor

Jayden! Jayden! We have to get out of here . I heard a voice say but it sounded so distant

Taking a step closer to the body , I leaned over to peer into the face when a strong hand gripped me …….

Let me go ! Let me go! Let me go! I scre-med loudly and then jolted out from sleep

A cold shiver ran down my spine as I sat up on the bed ,i was p-nting heavily as my heart beat erratically

hærdin! Are you alright? I heard Hazel asked but her voice sounded so distant as I was lost in my own thoughts

The nightmares, they keep on coming to remind me of my past ! Can’t I sleep in peace for once?

hærdin! She called again as she leaned over to switch on the light bulb and that was when I saw the dried tears on her face and the sadness in her eyes but I was just too agitated to ask her about it …….

 

What is wrong with you hærdin ? Why did you scre-m like that? She asked with a concerned look

Nothing! I managed to say and she sighed

It is going to be alright! It is just a night mare! she assured , yawning

Just a night mare! hell no, it is far from it …….

Laying back on the bed , I pulled her close to me ; she was reluctant at first but soon relaxed in my arms as i held her tightly

What is wrong with her! Did I offend her! Did I hurt her in anyway! Why was she even crying!

Oh yeah! it is probably because of the k-ss but was I wrong in telling her the truth!

I sighed softly

I wanted her to be happy! I wanted to see her smile! I wanted to tell her how beautiful she was today! I wanted to tell her she is the first girl I have ever held like this but no, I will end of hurting her because love doesn’t work for me ….

staring down at her face , She was already asleep …

I brushed off the hairs off her face as she chewed on her l-ips

She must be going through a lot!

but come to think of it , how did she end up as a maid! Why is she not in school!

There are lot of things I don’t know about her , i guess I will have to ask her!

Watching her sleep , I soon drifted off to sleep!!!!

Next Morning

The first ray of the sun pour into the bed room window , I squint at it as i forced my eyes open

I turned sideways to see Hazel still sleeping peacefully

She must be so weak!

Stretching, I sat on the bed as I glanced at the wall clock

Damn! It was 8:00am, I was already running late to school

I jolted up from the bad and dashed out of the room to my room and on entering my room , I met my mom seated on the bed

she stood in a huff as soon as she saw me

Where are you coming from hærdin? She asked with her hands on her wa-ist

And where are you also coming from? I fired back at her as she huffed

Don’t get c*cky with me young man and just answer my question?

I stared at her for a while and then smiled

It was obvious she knew I was with Hazel .. well! since she wants to hear it from me , I will gladly tell her

I am coming from Hazel’s room . I answered, staring intently at her and I saw her eyes grew wide in shock

Hazel! Your maid! And did you spend the night there? She continued and I nodded truthfully

Oh my gawd! She exclaimed, taking two small steps backpack

Rebecca told me all about it but I couldn’t bring myself to believe it

Oh right! She finally confessed

But why the hell will you be stay in the same room with your maid or are you both screwing each other? She asked and I froze

Screwing! and Who the hell is telling you all this crap? Rebecca

Just answer me , Are you screwing your maid ? She yelled and that was it , I flared up

Maid ! Maid! Maid! can’t you do without calling her a maid ? She has a name for crying out loud and so you should know , I don’t f-cking care about what you or that “loud mouthed bitch” think about us , her especially, but if you dare scold at her or try to fire her , you will never ever see me again. I threatened and to my surprise, she became so calm

Does she really mean that much to you? she asked as her l-ips quivered

Of course ma, she is the only one in this house who understands me

Having said that , I retreated and took few steps to the bathroom when I heard her say

Older ? I repeated in surprise, turning to face her

21! that tiny girl ! how can it be! …. I mean I have always seen her as someone younger , she doesn’t look it at all…. why am I even getting work up about it , It is not like it changes anything

Okay! I simply answered and walked into the bathroom to freshen up ……

Returning to the room, I met my mum on the bed with her hands cupping her chin

She was lost staring into space and my heart churned a little on seeing her this way …..

Despite all the anger i have towards her , I still couldn’t bring myself to hate her , she still remains my mom and will always be; and to tell the truth, the thoughts of seeing her again was what kept me going while I was in prison…..

I wanted to hug my hands tightly around her and assure her that she will be fine but hell no ,it will end up in pain

Ignoring her , I went over to the wardrobe , pulled out a black hoodie along with a black p-nt trousers and hurriedly dressed up in it ; then put on a black boot

Slinging my backpack across my shoulders, I picked up a comb to style out my hair

what about your mai .. erm Hazel ? She suddenly asked and I stared at her through the mirror to see her staring at me

She is sick . I answered rudely and she exclaimed softly

Then what about breakfast, should I go get it for you?

No ma! I will pass. I stated .. and one more thing! please do not disrupt Hazel sleep , she needs to rest

Okay! She answered with a low voice

Picking up the car keys and my phone , I walked out of the room with one of my hands in my pocket ………

My eyes fluttered opened as i rolled on the bed stretching

hærdin scent filled the wh0le room and that was enough to bring back the sadness to my face

Sitting up on the bed , I glanced at the wristwatch and my heart jumped into my mouth

13:00 pm! oh god! I am so finished

I jolted out of the bed and rushed into the bathroom to clean my self up and when I was done , I returned to the room

The cramps were all gone and I felt so relieved!

I pulled out a red gown from the big black bag at the corner of the room and hurriedly dressed up in

Having done that, I walked out of the room to hærdin’s room

Entering his room, I found his mother laying on his bed with her eyes closed

My heart skipped in fear

Oh Hazel , you are really done for!

I turned around and was about leaving when her loud voice stopped me

And where do you think you are going to?

I retreated my steps and turned to face her

Erm Good morn .. I erm afternoon ma. I stuttered as she stared blankly at me

I erm am sorry for not cleaning up erm your son room on time erm , I felt so erm so sick . I said trying to explain to her

She was quiet for what seems like eternity and then she sighed

Come have your seat . She said with a surprisingly calm voice , tapping the bed as she sit up

I walked slowly to the bed and sat down faraway from her should incase she flare up …..

Good! so Can you please tell me the reason why I employed you? She started and I swallowed hærd

To be a personal maid to hærdin . I answered, hearing the sound of my heart as it threatened to explode from my rib cage

Good! then what is this I am hearing about you and hærdin? She continued with the same calm voice

I don’t know what you are talking about . I said feigning ignorance and she smiled lightly

Oh! I never knew you to be dumb but anyways , let me rephrase the question for you

Is my son f-cking You? She asked with accusing eyes and I shook my head vigorously

No ma! Nothing like that! hærdin and I are only friends.. erm I mean he is my employer. I quickly corrected myself

Only friends! Then why the hell did you k-ss me. My subconsciousness mocked me and I waved it off

She sighed, I am lost at what to say ,I feel so confused right now , I am not against your friendsh¡p with hærdin in-fact I am happy that heartless son of mine is already loosening up but I just don’t want him to hurt …….

But ma I am not trying to hurt him. I said Innocently and she chuckled

Of course you are not , but you will if you both continue with your friendsh¡p

I stared at her confused as she paused to typed something into her phone

What is she trying to say? Am I about to be fired? Oh Lord, please let it not be what I am thinking

Yes!so as I was saying , don’t try to misjudge me but I just want you to cut all closeness with my son and go back to being his personal maid . She continued and I heaved a sigh of relieve

At least I won’t be fired! I will still be in the same house with hærdin ..

And believe me when I say, I am not saying this base on the age differences , I will say this to you even if you were younger than him. She quickly added

Age difference! Does that mean she is among the few individuals who doesn’t care about age . I thought within

And as if reading my thoughts, she said

I am older than hærdin’s father with four years

Four what! I blurted out foolishly and she nodded slowly as she stared at me with a far away look in her eyes

Dave was everything I had always wanted , he was caring , hærdworking and most especially, a good husband but will all that , I still screwed up because no matter what he does , he was always like a kid to me …..

 

Oh! I exclaimed softly not knowing what to say to her but I understood her point perfectly

She doesn’t see age as a big deal but she believes relationsh¡p like that never lasts but why is she telling me all this , hærdin does not even regard me , he does not even like me…

Hazel ! She called snapping me out of my thoughts

Yes ma! I answered as I composed myself

Are you alright? She asked , fixing her on me and I nodded

Good! You can go to your room !

I will ma, but I need to clean up this room first . I said, referring to hærdin’s room

No dear ! you need to rest, Rebecca will do it today

But ma…. I tried to say but she cut me off

Alright ma, I agreed , standing up from the bed

And do not forget what I told you , severe all closeness with him . She reminded and I nodded

one more thing, we never had this conversation, is that understood?

With a heavy heart, I walked out of the room knowing everything she said was the truth

But what can I do? I am helplessly in love with a teenage boy who doesn’t even feel the same way about me , his reaction after the k-ss tells it all ….

I exhaled deeply,

I think it is best to make our relationsh¡p an official one and who knows , I might get over my feelings for him ……

But will that ever be possible! I guess I will have to try

Pushing the door opened , I walked into the room and sat down on the bed

I reached for my phone and dialled Mike’s number

he received it on the first ring

Hello Hazel! he greeted first ,sounding so surprised

Of course he has to be , he is the one always doing the calling

Hi Mike! how are you? I asked nervously

Fine Hazel!

So erm I called to know if we can meet up this Saturday!!!!

Yeah! Sure! he agreed

After school hours, I bade my friends as I headed to the car lot

Friends! Did I just say friends! hell no, they are just my class mates

Getting to the car , I opened it and was about getting in when I heard someone call me

I looked in the direction of the voice to see Kimberly running towards me

Not again! She was really a pain in the neck today

hærdin! She called again when she got closer and I faked a smile

She steadied her hands on her knee for a moment , breathing hærd; and then raised her head up to look at me

Didn’t you hear me calling! Why did you make me run this way! She queried

What exactly do you want? I asked, ignoring her query and her eyes lit up

Actually I wasn’t able to sleep yesterday as I was thinking about the k-ss we shared

So? I asked with a scoff

Erm I was just thinking if we should you know do that again . She said , licking her l-ips sed-ctively

No Kim, I need to get going now ! I retorted, staring at her s€×y l-ips

Shit!Why must she be so beautiful?

See ya tomorrow. I bade as I got into the car closing the door behind me , I drove off heading to home ….

I drove into the big compound and on seeing Hazel standing beside one of my mom car, I smiled

Alighting from the car , she rushed to greet me as usual but I noticed something different, she had this straight face look ….

Is it still the the period pain? I thought within

Welcome Sir hærdin! She greeted and that was when I knew , she was not alright

Sir hærdin! What is that? I asked with a chuckle but she still maintained the same straight face

Can I have your backpack Sir? She said politely and I handed it to her with my eyes wide opened

The Hazel I know will just drag it from me !!!!

Is there anything else you want me to do for you? She continued and I scoffed

What exactly is wrong with you? I fired at her and I saw it again , her tears

Hazel! I called , trying to touch her but she took a step backward

I will bring your food to your room . She said and before I could say anything, she scurried away

Gobsmacked, I watched her run as something in my heart clicked ; my heart began to race faster and I felt so ….. scared…..

It has been three days now and Hazel was still the same way to me , cold and unfriendly and I was left wondering what I did wrong

I tried talking things with her but her reaction was way out of it , she pushed me away and walked to her room banging the door shut at me and I was left with no other option than to let her be …

but the pain I felt was something I could not explain, it was as if my heart was before torn apart and I found myself going back to the “old hærdin “,the one who is always alone , the one who lives in pain , the one who indulges in self- injury just to feel more pain!

Dragging myself out of bed , I walked lazily to the bathroom to freshen up and on returning to the room I was surprised to see Hazel seated on my bed

What is she doing here! or is she tired of ignoring me?

Good morning sir! She greeted and I nodded ,drying my hair with a towel

I am sorry for barging into your room but there was no response when I knocked. She said , swallowing hærd as she stared at my bare chest..

I scoffed , she is really so strange! Ignoring me yet drooling over me!

Why exactly are you here? I asked , already getting pissed with her polite manners

I erm came over to ask you what you want to eat this morning . She stated with her thin British accent which always got me curious as to where she is from

And how many times will I tell you food is not my thing in the morning! I retorted , sitting on the bed beside her and as expected, she stood up in a huff

Okay! I will be going then . She simply said as she made for the door ;but stopped all of a sudden turning to face me

uhm… I heard your scre-ms last night , is it the night mare again? She asked but her voice sounded so far-off as I was lost studying her face with a puzzled expression

her eye lids were loosed , her lip corner pulled down, the mild swelling under her eyes , all which clearly shows she not getting enough sleep but why , is she worried about something?

Hazel! I called softly , standing up from the bed

She opened the door w¡der , trying to leave but I rushed to her and made her face me

What is wrong with you? I asked , staring into an uneasy eyes

What are you trying to do hærd… erm I mean Sir hærdin? she asked as I scoffed

hærdin! Sir hærdin! What exactly Is wrong with you? Did someone hurt you?did someone say something mean to you? Is it my mum? I asked in a rush and saw a flicker of fear crossed her face

Dang it! Why didn’t I think of this!

What did my mum say to you? I continued and was at the same time trying to control the anger boiling down in,side of me ……..

What are you talking about! Your mum didn’t say anything to me. She answered trying not to meet my gaze and I smirked knowing she was lying….

 

All this was my own decision so please do not involve your mum in this . She quickly added

I stared at her for a while and then nodded

You can leave . I told her calmly but she shook her head

Pulling out an all black outfit , I hurriedly dressed up in it : then sling my backpack across my shoulders, picked up the car keys along with my phone and left the room feeling so down

On getting downstairs, my mum was seated in the sitting room, reading a novel

I stomp towards her about to lash out my fury at her but quickly composed myself when I remembered the promise I made to Hazel

Damn! This is so f-cked up

Off to school! I told her when her gaze met mine and she smiled

No Son , Not before telling me how you want your birthday to be celebrated tomorrow, do you want a parlour party or a big one? She asked and I scoffed

My birthday! I completely forgot about it

Entering the noisy class , I made a quick stop at Steve desk to collect a novel before going over to my seat

I exchanged greetings with Richærd and then sat down

So what novel is that? Richærd started

C’mon hærdin, When did you start reading love novels? he asked, laughing

Well! Just today. I answered with a shrug and he put on a serious face

But why!Don’t tell me someone finally caught your attention? he stated but I ignored him

Omoo! I got it right !!so who is it ! or is it … Kimberly? he continued, nudging at me to raise my head and when I did , I saw Kimberly walking towards us

What the fucccccck!! I dropped the novel on the desk as my eyes roam all over her body in the s€×y skimpy gown

Hi Castillo! She greeted with a smile and before I could respond, she sat down on my laps and rubbed her asssss on my d**k

Damn! I cursed silently as she chuckled

The sound of a car honking disrupted my thought and I looked out of the window to see the security man open the gate

Oh my gawd! hærdin is already home

Wiping off the tears on my face , i jolted out of the bed , dashed out of the room , scurried down the stairs and got outside just in time to see hærdin alight from his car along with a girl

Who is she ? I wondered, staring at her

She was so damn beautiful and I felt intimidated by her

I walked slowly towards them and on seeing me , hærdin handed me his backpack without even smiling at me

I steadied my breathe and tried to calm the panic

Is she your maid? the girl asked , clinging unto him and I held my breathe waiting for his response but there was none ; he simply ignored the question and walked past me to the sitting room with the girl following behind him

What Just happened? Is that his girlfriend?

My heart beat so violently that I grew pale and had to lean on the car to stop myself from falling

I was so confused!

a part of me wanted to go in and question hærdin , another part wanted to go drag the girl by her hair but no I couldn’t because I meant nothing to him and she is his girlfriend…..

I walked slowly to the sitting room and what I saw almost made me yell out in anger , hærdin mum was welcoming the girl by hugging her warmly

I scoffed , so this is it! she wants a rich girl for her son and not a maid like me ..

And as if hearing my thoughts, she turned to face me

Meet Kimberly hærdin,s ……..

 

Girlfriend. The girl completed and I shifted my gaze to hærdin to see his reaction but found none because there was no emotion on his face …….

We will be going upstairs ma. he told his mum and then turned to face me

Haz! Please get me something to eat , I am so famished

Me too! the girl butted in and I nodded slowly

With a heavy heart, I walked slowly to the kitchen to see Rebecca already dishing out the food

What of the cook? I asked her as my voice quavered and she raised her head to look at me

And why are you asking!she retorted as I looked away to hide my tears from her but it was already late , she saw the tears

She laughed out loudly, don’t tell me you are crying because Sir hærdin brought his girlfriend to the house….. wait a minute! were you thinking he will end up with a maid like you , is that the reason you gave him your body?

I didn’t give him my body . I half yelled as she chuckled

Whatever! She rolled her eyes and then handed me a huge tray containing a covered plate of food and two bottled water

But why is there only a plate of food here?

That is because they will both eat together as couples. She stated mockingly and my heart churned in pain …..

Carrying the tray , I climbed up the stairs to to hærdin’s room

I kicked the door opened and on entering i saw the girl laying on the bed in only her p-nt

Can’t you knock? She barked , covering her upper body with the blanket

Are you blind! Can’t you see my hands are occupied. I snapped at her and her eyes w¡dened in surprise

What! how dare you talk to me like that! You are nothing but a f-cking maid! She yelled

And who told you that?hærdin asked, coming out from the bathroom

he looked me , the girl and then back at me again

I am sorry about that Hazel. he apologised, trying to take the tray from me and I shot him a glare

his green eyes bored into mine and I swear, I saw the fear in his eyes

Ignoring him , I walked over to the low stool, placed the tray on it and then dashed out of his room to mine…..

Entering my room, I collapsed on the bed and as if waiting for a signal, the tears came pouring down

Oh God! What will I do now? I wondered as I hit my chest in pain

This is just too much for me ! This is too much for me to bear!

Just then, My phone rang and I reached for it ; On checking the caller , it was Mike

I received it

Hello Mike! I greeted , trying to sound fine

Hi Hazel! how are you? he asked

Fine!

So will I still be getting your response tomorrow? he continued and i exhaled deeply

Yes! Let’s me at Rolex hotel !

No Hazel! I won’t allow that , I will come pick you myself by 18:00 pm. he said and I was forced to smile

Anything for you Princess!he said and ended the call

I stared at the phone for a while and then tossed it on the bed

I knew I was not being fair to Mike but if using him will make me forget all about hærdin, then I will gladly do it ……

Laying on the bed , I stared blankly at Kim as she danced to a Popular music playing on the television…..

her big b-obs bounced as she danced and she tried sed-cing me by dancing with a twerk

I looked away as my mind drifted off to Hazel , the look in her eyes this evening got me all confused

It was like she was jealous!but why will she be! It is not like she likes……. wait! Does she like me ?

Damn! What have I done!

And in a rush , I got off the bed and was about leaving the room when Kimberly caught me by my arm

Why are you going to? she asked with a surprised look

Erm I need to go check on someone, I will be back . I answered, freeing myself from her grip

And without saying anything more, I rushed out of my room to Hazel’s and on entering her room , I met a shocking sight

Hazel was sitting on the floor as she cried her eyes out

Hazel! I called in surprise but she didn’t answer, she just sat down there without even sparing me a glance

I walked slowly to her and squatted beside her

Hazel, please look at me and let’s us talk . I pleaded and when she did , my heart churned in pain . Her eyes were bloodshot and she looked all messed up

Just go away please. She pleaded weakly

No I won’t go anywhere until you talk to me . I insisted

She stared at me for a while and then sighed

Firstly, I want to know it you like me . I said , staring intently at her and saw her go stiff

Do you? I repeated and that was it , she flared up

And what does it matter to you! will that stop you from being a flirt! Will that make you choose me over the pretty girl in your room! will that make you love me back! why did you even bring her here! Is it torment me! Just tell me why did you?

Pulling off my trousers along with my brief , I rolled the condddddom on my errrrrect diiiiiccccck , laid in between her legs and without any fore play, penetrated deep into her as I thr-st in and out of her with all the anger in me ……….
