Alpha King’s mansion…..! Xander’s room….!

Xander slams the door and rushed towards the TV on the wall.. he pulls it off and smashed it on the floor.

He fl¡ps the glass table in his room… It shattered and a piece pierced his skin but he doesn’t care.

“How dare he get all touchy with my mate?!” He growled angrily. “MY mate!!” He growled loudly.

He rake his fingers through his hair in frustration as he breaths heavily… Just then, Connor walks in and stops by the door.

He look around the room.. how it’s suddenly in a messy within seconds… He whistles and walks in, trying his best to avoid the broken glasses.

“Xander, are you ok?” He asked even though he clearly knows what the answer is.

“No! I’m not ok! I feel my so suffocated!” Xander snaps.

He clenched his jaw and balled his fist.. he glares at Connor as if Connor offended him.

“Who does he think he is?! Getting all cozy with my mate?! Huh?!”

Connor keeps quiet with nods silently, it’s better he doesn’t say a word… or he’ll end up being Xander’s punching bag!

“I shouldn’t have walked away! I should have killer him right there!” He growls.

He recalls Alexa’s smiling face.. how happy she was sitting with Brett and great anger erupt from within him.

He turned to Connor… Connor stared at his eyes and subconsciously flinches back…the look in Xander’s eyes is so deadly.

He looked exactly like a wolf ready to kill anything and everything standing on his way.

“Come with me!” He said and walked towards the door… Connor rushed to his front to stop him.

“Alpha, where are we going?” He asked slowly.

“To kill an unlucky bastard!”

Connor knows instantly that Xander is referring to Brett.. he laughs nervously and shakes his head.

“Er… Alpha, let’s not take any rash decision…”

“It’s not a rash decision! I don’t want to see him even ten feet near my mate.. he must die!” Xander growled.

He pushed Connor from the way, Connor staggers a little but quickly come in front of him again.

“Alpha, calm down.. the queen said she has everything covered!”

Xander frowns deeply and wait for him to continue.

“She wants to visit your mate and have a talk with her, let’s wait for her feedback before we take any action!” Connor said.

Xander growled lowly but nods anyway… He inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

“Let’s go to the dungeon!”

“Dungeon?” Xander nods. “Mind if I ask why?”

Xander smirk, an evil glint in his eyes.

“To unleash my anger on those filthy rogues!”

Back at crescent high…!

Janet and her two minions (Loretta and Flora) sneakily follows Alexa and Brett to the parking lot, where Brett parked his motorcycle earlier.

They watched until Alexa got on Brett’s motorcycle and rides off.

Janet smirks and exchange looks with her minions.. she had watched the drama that happened back at the cafeteria.

“You see? This is why a human can’t be our queen!” Janet said.

“You’re right, you’re a perfect match for our future alpha King.. only you are fit to be the queen!” Flora said.

Janet scoffs.

“Of course!” She rolls her eyes. “I haven’t done anything and they’re already having their own problems!”

“And to think, they aren’t even together yet!” Loretta ch¡ps in.

Janet’s smirk grows w¡der, she throws get arms around their shoulders and pulled them closer.

“Now she’s made everything easier for me… I’ll make sure they never get the chance to be together.. only I can be the future Luna queen!”

“What are you gonna do?” Loretta asked.

Janet does a little thinking and she smiles maliciously as she recalls something.

“Tomorrow is general P. E.. let’s see how good she is!”

Flora gasp and pull away from them.

“Are you… ” She trails off and look around to make sure no one is nearby. “… planning to kill her?!”

Janet glares pointedly at her.

“No!” She clears her throat. “I just want to show everyone what a weakling she is… Nobody would want a weakling as the future Luna queen!”

Flora and Loretta nods, Janet scoffs and marches off into the woods.

Alexa’s pov 🎀

Brett stops right outside our apartment and I got off his motorcycle.. I took off his helmet and hands it back to him.

“Thanks for the ride!” I told him.

“Tsk, tsk, I have told you, there shouldn’t be thank yous between us… we’re friends!” He waves it off with a smile.

I nod, he winks at me.. I took a step back and clears my throat.

“Well, you don’t have to pick me up tomorrow!”

He frowns and raised an eyebrow at me… I sighed.

“My brother will drop me off!”

I thought about what Joyce told me at the cafeteria, I’m really taking this too far… I shouldn’t snub them.

“Did I do something you don’t like?” He asked.

I shake my head and smiled.

“No. I just…” I cut myself off. “Just know you won’t pick me up tomorrow or any other day!”

“We just became friends and you’re already avoiding me?”

“I’m not avoiding you, we can still see each other at school”

He nods and look at me, his mouth slightly open like he wanted to say something.

“What?” I asked him.

“Er… I have music class tomorrow, i met with Mr Cam and he told me about a singing competition!”

“Oh, yeah, everyone is participating”

He nods.

“I signed up too but I don’t have a singing partner yet….” He paused. “I was wondering if we can be partners!”

“We?”

He nods.

“Partners?”

He nods again.

“And I know a lot about music!” He said.

My eyes lit up.

“Really?!”

“Yeah, I can show you some of the songs I wrote!”

Wow! Now this is the kind of partner I love to have, not someone like Xander… Xander!

I suddenly recalls the scene at the cafeteria, how he angrily left… the look in his eyes before he left… he looked so heartbroken.

“Alexa!” He snaps his fingers across my eyes.

I blinked rapidly. “Yeah!”

“You spaced out, are you ok?”

“Yeah!”

He nods.

“So, are you gonna be my partner?” He asked.

I think about it briefly, if I keep avoiding Xander, my brothers and friends.. it wouldn’t look good.

I should give them a chance, I should at least learn more about them before I judge.

I smiled at Brett and shake my head.

“I already have a partner!” I told him.

“Wait, are you rejecting me?”

“I guess.. I should go in now, er.. thanks again for the ride!” I said and turned away from him.

I heard his motorcycle drives away just as I held the door knob.

Time to face my brothers and apologise for my behavior… I sighed and open the door.

“You’re back!”

I halt abruptly and looked at the living room… The queen?

“Y-your majesty!” I stutters quietly.

I walked towards her.. she smiles at me and got up, she pulled me into a hug… I stilled.

“I told you to pay me a visit… ” She pulls away and sighs. “But I guess I’m too old for you to hang out with… ” She sighs again. “Nobody wants to hang out with the old lady these days!”

She sits back on the sofa and rest her head on her palm…shaking her head like she’s very depressed right now.

Micah is dramatic but the queen is even more dramatic.. she’s a drama queen.

“Your majesty.. I was busy and didn’t have time to come visit”

She scoffs.

“Busy? or you’re scared of us?” She asked.

I shake my head and chuckles lightly.

“No, that’s not it, I… I…” Words failed me.

She gets up and takes my hands.

“I want to go shopping, do you mind coming with me?”

“Shopping with you? Isn’t it inappropriate?”

“I don’t see any reason why it should be. I just want you to accompany me, you wouldn’t turn me down, right?”

I guess I don’t have a choice now.. she personally came over to ask me to go shopping with her.

“Ok, your majesty!”

“Great!” She claps her hands and take my bag from me.

She throws it on a sofa and she takes my hand and begin to pull me out with him.

“My brothers!”

“Oh, I already informed them just now!”

I frown… How did she inform them? We were talking and I didn’t see her bring out her phone.

I guess she saw my confused expression.. she smiles.

“I mind-link them!” She said and pulled me out.

I don’t know what she meant but I didn’t ask.

We’ve been walking along the streets since we left the house.. I see children running about, laughing and playing happily.

I saw a set of street dancers, dancing in front of a small crowd.. some people drop some money for them.

“Look! Don’t they look like normal people… Humans?” The queen asked me.

I nod… now I understand why she insisted we walk instead of taking her car.

“Yes!” I replied.

“Look how happy they are.. they aren’t fighting or killing each other.. we are just like any other town or community you know!”

I saw an old woman trying to carry a big bag, I wanted to go over and help her.. but someone else beat me to it.

“We help each other.. Alexa, darling.. we aren’t as bad as you think, if you give us a chance you’ll understand why we take some certain actions!”

She paused and stops walking, then I realize we’ve arrived at the mall… We walk in,side and I saw a bunch of teenage girls gushing over a red gown.

*I bet it’s gonna look good on me!*

*Yeah, but your mate ain’t gonna like it!*

*He can’t control me!*

*I dare you to say that in front of him!*

I smiled at their conversation, mate! That’s what humans call boyfriend.. so does that mean Xander is already my boyfriend even before we met each other?

“Don’t they look like normal teenagers to you?”

“Yeah!”

“That’s it! We’re no different from humans, we only attack you when we feel like you’re a threat to our loved ones!”

She paused and studies my expression.. she smiles and continue.

“Take the rogue attack back at the packhouse as example… Xander rushed out the moment he heard there’s a rogue attack… The first word that left his mouth was yours.. Alexa!”

Me? I was the one he was thinking of when the attack was happening?

“He rushed out to save you! Just give him a chance… there are a lot of things you don’t know about us, allow Xander to explain them to you… Ask him any of the questions you have.. he’ll answer all of them!”

She’s right… Joyce is right.. they’re all right, I should give Xander a chance.

I won’t understand any of this clearly if I continue to avoid them… And besides, I feel so hurt deep down everytime I see Xander’s sad expression.

“Xander is sad, he really needs you to calm down and listen to him!”

I sighed.

“I.. I.. will talk to him tomorrow”

“Really?”

“Yes, your majesty!”

She smiled and engulfed me in a bone crushing hug.

“It’s even easier than I thought!” She said.

She pulled away and smiled at me brightly. “Xander will be so happy to hear you’re willing to give him a chance!”

I chuckles lightly.

“Let’s go back home!” She said.

I frown and look around.

“Er.. your majesty, aren’t we here for shopping?”

She paused and look around, then laugh briefly.

“I forgot to come with my purse!” She said.

Hmm.. why do I feel like she’s lying? Then it clicked… She tricked me to come out with her because she wanted to make me understand.

“Your mate will take you for shopping next time!” She said and pulls me out.

I didn’t know queens do behave like teenagers too… this is the first!

Dex’s apartment….!

The queen is gone back to the Palace.

I’m currently in the living room, standing in front of Will and Micah.. with my head bowed as I play with my fingers.

Will’s normal straight face is on, Micah is on his phone going through some model’s photos.

“Have you come back to your senses?” Will asked.

I nod.

“Speak!” He growled.

“Yes!” I replied.

He nods and glares at me.

“Now, what did you do wrong?” He asked.

I kept quiet.. I didn’t know how to repeat those same words to him now.. he look like he’s ready to eat me alive!

“F-cking speak!”

Micah drops his phone and turns to him.

“Don’t swear in front of the kid!”

“She’s not a kid anymore! She’s 18 and she’s got a mate!” Will snaps.

Micah rolls his eyes. Will turns to me and look straight in my eyes.

“What did you do wrong, Alexa!”

I gulp.

“I.. I.. ca….”

“Don’t stutter! Speak fluently!”

I closed my eyes and inhale deeply.

“I called you a monster!”

He claps his hands and laughs dryly.

“What have I done to you that made you called me a monster?”

I shake my head.

“Nothing!”

“Have I ever mistreated you?”

I shake my head.

“Have I ever starved?”

I shake my head again.

“Then how did I become a monster to you?”

I kept quiet.. Will too was also quiet as he stares at me. I couldn’t speak, I mean, calling my brother a monster was uncalled for.

“I’m sorry, Will… I was angry and I said some hurtful words in a fit of anger”

“You’re my sister.. my younger sister and I have always pampered you.. provide you with anything and everything you need.. I did everything to make you live a happy and comfortable life, but at the end what am I to you?”

Micah sighed and shuts his eyes.

“I’m sorry, so sorry, Will”

“I want to ask you a question? What if you’re also a wolf, would you hate yourself?”

I shake my head.

“I’m your brother and I won’t ever hurt you! Go to your room and reflect on your behavior!”

“Will, that’s enough, she’s already come around.. she knows her mistake now, please forgive her!” Micah said.

“I’m not mad at her, I have forgiven her even before she asked for forgiveness… She’s my only sister and I can’t stay mad at her.. but she must reflect on her behavior, only then will she know if her action was childish or not!”

Micah sighs… he knows what Will’s self reflection means.. it means no dinner for me tonight.

“Alexa, go to your room and reflect on your behavior!” Will said.

I looked at Micah and he mouths “I’ll sneak some food to your room later!” I smiled at him and mouths “Thank you” back to him.

“What are you still waiting for?!” Will growl.

I quickly run to my room and slams the door shut… I walk towards my bed and falls on it.

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be open minded to whatever Xander tells me… I’ll accept whatever is fated for me.
