King’s office…!
Xander dad walks into the king’s palace, the king and a few elders are discussing.
“Alpha!” The elders greets Xander.
He simply acknowledge them with a small nod… He stops in front of his dad’s desk.
“Alpha!” He greets his dad.
“Xander, we were just talking about your coronation and we’ve choosed a date already!” His dad said.
Xander sighs and place the note he’s holding on the desk… His dad stares at it with a small frown.
“Alpha, a body was found at the border and that’s the note attached to it!” Xander explains.
His dad reaches for the note and reads it… He narrows his eyes and clench his jaw.
“Has the body being identified?” His dad ask.
“My boys are on it!”
His dad nods thoughtfully, he glares at the note as if it committed a grave offense.
“Your majesty, I think we need some explanations.. how come a dead body was found at the border?” An elder asked.
Other elders nods in support of the question, like that’s what they all wanted to ask.
“Yes, your majesty, weren’t there any guards at the border?”
Xander’s dad gives him a questioning look.
“I believe your boys were on duty then?” H asked.
Xander nods.
“Then how did this happen? How come they couldn’t catch whoever dropped the body there?”
Xander couldn’t speak, he just keep staring at his dad.
His dad bangs on the table and everyone flinches.. except Xander.
“I’m sorry, Alpha, it’s my mistake that my boys were incompetent.. I’ll accept any punishment!” Xander said slightly bowing his head.
His dad stares at him briefly.
“Very well, then! Try to pay that family a visit and sympathize with them for their lose!”
“Yes, dad!”
“Also, 350 laps for you, 2days!”
“Yes, dad!”
“You’re excused!” He dismissed Xander.
Xander walks out without any argument…he knew this was his punishment.
The king turns to the elders.
“Your majesty, the prince is still young and I think he’s trying as best as he can… don’t you think that punishment is too much for him?” An elder asked.
“No! He needs to learn!”

Alexa’s pov 🎀
Crescent high…!
*Alright, students for today’s practical I brought in a lizard…* She points at a lizard in a box.
Currently, Joyce and I are having biology class together… Which is somehow weird, Joyce ain’t supposed to have biology today.
*…. We’re gonna operate on this lizard and….*
She suddenly trails off and stares at her book for some minutes.
“What’s happening to her?” I asked Joyce.
Joyce stares at her briefly and smile.
“She’s receiving a mind-link!” Was her reply.
After some minutes, our biology teacher looks up and stares at me… her eyes lingers on me for a few minutes before she looks away with a smile.
*Our class is over for today.. we’ll do our practical next class!* She said and rush out.
I frown… Why did she suddenly postpone the practical?
I sigh and begin to pack my stuff in my bag.
My next class was supposed to be music, but I don’t think Mr Cam will come to school since his mate is injured.
“What are you planning to do now?” Joyce asked.
“Huh?”
“Are you gonna visit the cafeteria? Or you’re gonna go home?”
I think about it quickly and shake my head.
“I think I’m gonna head home.. thankfully, I don’t have any other class today… I have being feeling tired since yesterday!”
“Tired?” She asked as she gets up and throws her bag on her shoulder.
“Yeah, like I’m not getting enough rest… I need to go home and sleep some more!” I get up too and zip my bag’s zipper.
“Let’s go!” I told her.
She nods and frowns slightly, she inhales deeply and turns to me.
“Did you change your perfume?” She asked.
“No! Why?”
She moves closer to me and sniffs me… she stares at me.
“Are you sure you didn’t change your perfume?”
I roll my eyes.
“Then what is that faint scent I’m perceiving?”
I shrug. We head out of the class, my eyes unconsciously drift to her stomach and I smile.
“Your baby bump is kinda showing slowly!” I said.
“Yeah, we werewolves don’t carry pregnancy for nine months, so it’s normal that my baby bump will soon show!”
“You don’t carry pregnancy for nine months?”
She shakes her head… We take a curve and arrives at the parking lot.
I glance around and didn’t see Xander’s car or motorcycle, I guess I’ll take the bus or walk today.
“So how many months do werewolves carry their pregnancies?”
“7months!” She replies.
I nod.
“That’s cool, it’s to your advantage as you’re still a student!”
“Right?”
Though we’re graduating in a few months…but I don’t like the idea of any high school student getting pregnant while still in school.
“Joyce, I think you should go home too… You deserve rest!”
She shakes her head and throws her arm around my shoulders.
“Nope, I’m going home with you today!”
“Why? Don’t you get tired?”
“Nope!”
I frown briefly.
“I notice you’re always with me everytime Xander’s not here, are you my bodyguard or something?” I asked.
She laughs.
“Well, you can say I’m your bodyguard!”
I shake my head and laugh at her statement… I find it funny.
“Why are you laughing?” She asked.
“You said you’re my bodyguard, you’re already heavy as it is… How can you fight to protect me when there’s danger with this load you’re carrying?”
She scoffs and puts her hands on her wa-ist, puffing her chest out to make her look imposing.
“I’m from the royal warriors family and I’m mated to the beta prince…”
“Being from the warriors family and mated to the beta prince makes you invincible?”
“Yes! Naturally, if I wasn’t mated to Connor, I’d have being a warrior by now.. but since I’m the beta female now, it’s my duty to keep you safe at all time!”
I nod thoughtfully.
“Oh, you’ll be by my side just as Connor always stays by Xander?”
She nods with a grin, she links our hands.
“But you can’t fight in this condition”
“Oh, sweetie, I’m more stronger than you think!” She replies.
I stare at her in admiration, I wish I’m as strong as her… I’m just a weakling mated to an alpha prince.
“It’s me and you for life, baby!” She said.
I rolled my eyes.
“Let’s go home, later we’ll go visit Janet and see how she’s faring!”
