Alexa’s pov 🎀

“Baby, what are you doing?” Xander asked as he sees me taking off my clothes.

We’re currently in the woods, though we didn’t go deep into the woods.

“I wanna shift!” I reply.

He stops me and glares at me.

“No!”

“Why no? I said we should come out for a run.. how am I supposed to run if I don’t shift?”

He ignores me and takes off his shirt, he hangs it on a tree… I huff and starts taking off my blouse again.

He stops me again.

“You can’t shift now that you’re pregnant, what if something happens to our pup!”

Right, I didn’t think of that.

“Then how am I gonna run with you?”

“You aren’t gonna run… I’ll just give you a ride!”

“A ride?”

He takes off his p-nts and nods.

“Yeah, you said you wanna see Liam… How about you let him give you a ride?” He asked.

I nod quickly, my brothers always carry me on their backs and run super fast…

I wanna know if Liam can go any faster than them…but I’m guessing he’s gonna be way faster.

“Liam is so damn happy right now, if you can imagine how he’s nagging me right now!”

His eyes flashes yellow, I guess Liam can’t wait to take control…I can imagine him wagging his tail happily.

I hear bones cracking and in a flash Xander’s replaced by Liam…I gasp.

The first time he appeared in front of me, I was scared… So scared that I wanted nothing to do with Xander.

But now staring at him makes me feel so safe! I admire him now… I squat and pats his head.

He’s standing at a 4ft, his jet black fur sparkling, his yellow eyes staring at me.. his tongue hanging out.

“You’re gorgeous, Wolfie!” I said.

Liam draws his eyebrows together… that’s if he have one…and glares at me.

“What? I’m complimenting you!”

He growls and turns away from me… he’s sulking because I called him gorgeous.

I turn his head back to me and scratches the back of his ears slowly.

He purrs in satisfaction and licks my cheek… I laugh.

“Can you understand me in your wolf form?”

He nods…I roll my eyes.

“But you’re gorgeous!”

*I’m not gorgeous…I’m hot!* I heard his voice in my mind-link.

He look just like a cute overgrown dog right now… I hear a scoff in my mind.

*Mate, I’m the big bad Alpha, I’m not a dog!* He said.

I laugh at him…I forgot he can hear my thoughts. I quickly block him from my thoughts.

*Whatever you say, overgrown dog!*

He growls lowly and snuggles his snout in my neck… His tongue licking my mark.

*Get on my back let me show you the world in a different light!*

He crouches down and I got on his back… I imagined his fur to be soft but I didn’t know they’ll actually be as soft as this.

*Hold onto me!* He commands.

I nod and held onto him as tight as I can. He gets up slowly and adjusts me on his back.

*Are you ok?* He asked.

*Yeah!*

*Can we go now?*

*Yes!* With that he took off.

The wind blow past my ears harshly as I scre-m delightfully… trees pass by in a very fast blur.

Micah and Will runs fast but I swear, they’re no way near Liam… he runs through the woods as if he’s familiar with every turn.

My scre-ms are mixed with both excitement and fear… sometimes he might be headed straight to a tree and I’ll be so scared that we’ll crash.

But he’ll dodge the tree in the last second.. that’s what brings about the excitements.

*Baby, are you happy?* Liam mind-links me as he’s headed for another tree.

My eyes grow wide.

“Watch the tree!” I scre-m.

He chuckles in our link and dodges the tree.

*Don’t be scared, I can’t let us crash!*

I didn’t reply.

*Tell me, how are you feeling right now?*

“I’m so darn happy!” I scre-m.

*Oh, yeah!* He increases his pace.

Writer’s pov 🎀

King’s office…!

The king growls glaring at a small note in his hand… He angrily throws it across the office.

“Yoh, yoh, what’s troubling you?” The queen ask walking in.

She picks the note and reads it, she rolls her eyes and throws it in a waste bin.

“I thought you said to wait until Antonio strike, then why are you getting worked up now?”

He sighs and throws his head back on the chair.

“Just staring at that stupid threat note makes me angry!” He replies.

“Well, I believe you already have a war strategy planned already… I have a feeling that Antonio is planning something big…and I feel it’s gonna happen sooner than later!”

“Yeah, of course. I can’t wait for him to come kill me, I have plans and I’ll show Xander tomorrow… He should get his boys ready!”

The queen nods thoughtfully, a comfortable silence swallow them until the king breaks it.

“How is Alexa? Why did she pass out?”

The queen glares at him and he raises his hands up.

“Don’t give me that look, according to the messenger… Alexa wasn’t there when he went to stop Xander’s punishment!”

She breaks into a smile at his frightened expression.

“She’s fine!”

“That’s good! That’s good!” He mutters quietly.

“Oh, and it’s confirmed, she’s pregnant”

She holds her face in her hands and giggles excitedly.

“I can’t believe I’m gonna be a grandmother so soon… I can finally have someone to play with… Someone to give me headaches everyday… Someone to….. ”

A knock on the door cuts her off. She turns towards the door, but she shuts it while coming in..so she didn’t see who it is.

She sniffs the air and turns back to her husband with a frown.

“Did you sent for him?”

“No!” He shakes his head.

“Then what is he doing here?”

He shrugs.

“Maybe to tell us another fake prophecy!”

The queen huffs and crosses her arms in her chest…her husband reaches forward and straighten her frown lines.

“My queen, act normal around him…I wanna invite him in and listen to what he have to say this time!” He said and winks at her.

She scoffs grumpily.

“Come in!” He invites him.

The door opens slowly and the seer walks in, he stops in front of the desk and bows at the queen.

“Your majesty!”

He turn to the king.

“Your majesty!”

The king acts surprise and tells him to stand up, the seer stand upright.

“Yoh, what’s Mr seer doing here?” The queen asked.

Though she tries to act normal but one can tell from her tone that she’s angry.

The seer didn’t mind her tone.. not that he can do anything to her… He turns to the king.

“Your majesty, I have something to discuss with you!”

“Hmm, is it very important?” The king asked.

“Yes, Alpha King”

“Hmm…” The king turns to his wife but she’s not even looking his way.

She’s busy glaring daggers at the seer… The king clears his throat and shows him to a seat.

The seer shakes his head. “I’d rather stand”

“I said sit and speak to me!”

He nods and slowly sits down.

“So… What do you wanna tell me?”

The seer hesitate a little before he begins.

“Your Majesty, I…….”

Alexa’s pov 🎀

Liam slows down as he gets near a lake, he stops by the side and crouches down.

*Get down slowly!* He said.

I hop off his back and pats his back.

“Thank you, Liam!” I flashes him a smile.

He gives me a wolfish grin in return…or I think he gives me a wolfish grin.

I turn and take a look around, I’m awestruck at the view here…across the lake there’s a waterfall.

I turn back to Liam.

“Can you please give Xander control back?” I asked him.

*Trying to get rid of me so soon?* He asked in a jealous tone.

I shake my head and I hear him chuckles through our link…ok, I don’t understand why Liam is jealous of Xander.

They’re both the same, aren’t they?

“Liam, I’ve spend some time with you…I think I should enjoy this view with Xander too”

He huffs and in a flash, Xander’s sitting in front of me…unclad! I quickly cover my eyes and he laughs.

“I thought someone wanted to see me?”

“Yeah, but when you’re unclad!”

He laughs again.

“Are you being shy?” He asked.

I didn’t reply, I simply turn away from him.

“Baby, we’ve had s€× more than once and you’ve seen me…why are you being shy now?”

I did an eye roll, if only he knows I’m hiding away from him because I don’t wanna jump him in the woods.

“Are you gonna wear some clothes?” I grit out.

“Fine! Fine! I’m clothed!” He said.

I turn and opens my eyes slowly, he’s really wore a basketball truck and black t-shirt.

“Where did you get those?” I asked.

“I always keep some of my clothes here, in case I come for runs and decides to rest here!”

I nod…he sits next to me on the ground and pulls me closer, hugging me.

“The view here is awesome, do you come here often?”

“Hmm, yeah, when I’m angry and wanna cool off!”

I nod. This place is really quiet and I think I’d love to come here to read sometimes.

“This is my lair and you’re the second girl I’ve brought here!”

“Second girl?!” I exclaims and move away from him.

He nods, I frown, a very bitter feeling forming at the pit of my stomach.

How can he bring another girl to his special place?!

“Second girl?!” I repeat. “Who’s the first?!”

He studies my expression and smirks, he leans forward and pecks my l-ips.

“Relax, baby, the first girl I brought here is Jenna!”

“J-jenna?”

That bitter feeling in my stomach vanish at once and it’s replaced by embarrassment.

“Yes, Jenna, you can ask her if I’ve brought her here!”

“Why did you bring her?”

“Dad was nagging her about not seeing her mate yet, she was sad and wanted to run away from home… so I brought her here to cool off and think things through!”

“Oh!”

I can’t believe I was jealous of my sister-in-law! I guess Xander’s jealousy is kinda influencing me.

I lay my head on Xander’s lap and he car-sses my hair… cool breezing blowing on me… I close my eyes.

“It’s so cool here, I wish I could live here forever!”

Xander’s scoffs loudly.

“Then you’ll slowly turn to a gorilla!”

I hit his chest very hærd and he gro-ns.

“You’re the gorilla!”

“What? I’m just telling you what will become of you if you live here forever!”

“That’s not….”

A faint cry cuts me off. I got off Xander’s lap and faces him with a frown.

“Xander, do you hear that?”

“Hear what?” He asked me back.

“A cry!”

“A cry? No!” He shakes his head.

I get up and listen well, I hear the cry again… And it sound like a kid.

“Are you not hearing it, Xander?”

He gets up too and listened, then he turns to me with a frown.

“Are you sure that’s a child’s cry? What will a child come to do deep in the woods?” He asked.

“I’m not sure.. how about we check it out?”

He shakes his head.

“No!”

“We don’t know if it’s a trap!”

I think about it, he’s right, but what if it’s really a kid?

“Let’s just check it out.. what if it’s turns out to be a kid from our pack?”

“Baby, you…”

I place a finger on his l-ips and shuts him off.

“We can’t ignore this, maybe it’s really a child that needs our help!”

He stares at me briefly then sighs.

“Fine, let’s go, but you’ll stay close to me!”

“Ok!”

Writer’s pov 🎀

King’s office….!

“….. that’s all your majesty!”

The king exchange looks with his wife, she’s staring at the seer with a disgusting expression.

“And why are you just telling us now?!” The king asked.

“I.. your maje….”

The queen bangs on the table and the seer flinches back, he quickly bows his head and avoids the queen’s eyes.

“It’s too late to tell us about this!” She growls.

The king gets up from his chair and comes to his wife’s side, he m-ssages her shoulders softly.

“Seer, leave my office!” The king said.

“Yes, Alpha King!” The seer said and leaves the office immediately.

The king sits in front of his fuming wife and takes her hands in his, car-ssing them.

“Darling, calm down!”

“Do you trust him?” She asked.

“Honestly, I don’t know if I should trust him or not… I don’t know if he’s telling the truth or not!” He replies.

“So what do you plan to do?”

He sighs deeply.

“We’ll just go with the flow… the truth will reveal itself soonest!”

“Whatever you wanna do, do it before Alexa’s induction…I don’t want any mistakes!”

Alexa’s pov 🎀

The cry for help keeps getting closer with every step we take deeper into the woods.

Finally, we stop by a pit… the cry seem to be coming from in,side.

“Help me! Mama! Papa”

Now I’m certain it’s a kid’s cry, Xander and I exchange looks.

“Mama! Papa! Papa, help me!”

He takes a step closer, pushing me behind him. He leans forward and takes a look in,side.

“It’s truly a pup!” He said.

I quickly leans forward and take a look too, my heart breaks at the sight.

A kid of five or six sits in,side crying her eyes out, there’s some water in,side the pit and it almost swallowed her.

“Hey, cutie, are you ok?” I asked

She lifts her head and sees me, she shakes her head and cry more.

“Help me, help me!” She cries.

I turn to Xander and push him, if he wasn’t holding his balance, I swear he’d have fallen into the pit too.

“Xander, quick, pull her out!”

He nods and jumps into the pit, he carries the kid and sits her on his head.

“Baby, reach out your hands and carry her up!”

I nod and quickly reaches for her, luckily I reached her… I pulled her out and take off my jacket.. I damps it on her shoulders and wipe her tears.

“Cutie, are you ok?” I asked.

She didn’t respond, she just throws her arms around me and cry on my shoulders.

“It’s ok, you’re safe now, you’re safe!” I pat her back.

She cries a few more minutes and slowly quiets down.

“What are you doing here, girly? How did you fall into this pit?” I asked her.

She turns behind her and points at a direction.

“They took my friends! They took my friends!”

“Who took your friends?” I asked her again.

She shakes her head and begin to cry again.

“I.. I.. don’t know…”

Xander takes her from me… I guess I was too focus on the girl that I didn’t know when he came out of the pit.

“Let’s go back!” He said.

I nod and we head back to the direction we came from… the little girl keeps crying in Xander’s arms.

“Don’t cry, alright, we’ll take you to your mama and help you find your friends too!” I told her.

She nods but didn’t stop crying.

“I have mind-link some of the guards, they’re waiting outside the woods.. they’ll esc-rt you home and I’ll take this girl to the palace… We’ll find her parents and send her home, I want to discuss this with my dad!”

“Why should I go home? I wanna come with you to the palace!”

He shakes his head.

“No! You are pregnant now, your health matters most… You’ll go home and rest!”

I think about it and nod, he’s right… I shouldn’t make things hærd for him now.

“I’ll send Connor’s mate to come keep you company!”

“No, please. Joyce is pregnant too, we can’t keep troubling her”

“But… ”

“Let her rest, the guards are gonna be around, right?”

He nods.

“Then we don’t need to trouble Joyce!”

He wanted to argue but one look from me shuts him up.

Xander’s mansion…! 7:34pm…!

It’s been four wh0le hours since Xander went to the palace, he still haven’t come back.

I’m starting to get bored in this mansion, had I known I would have let him send Joyce over.

I look outside through the window, those guards are still patrolling… They wouldn’t let me out… No matter how hærd I tried to persuade them.

Then I remembered there’s a back door in the kitchen. I got up and rushed to the kitchen… I open the door and glance around, there are no guards in sight.

I smiled… I can go out from here and take a short walk around.

I step out and take in a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air outside…

Staying in the mansion for four straight hours without coming out just makes it feels like I’m in a prison.

Just as I take a step forward, I see a white handkerchief pass through my eyes and covers my nose.

Before I could turn and see who’s that, I inhaled something… darkness!
