After searching the wh0le road and finding nothing, I was already tired, so I decided to go and search for Huna in the market, when I didn’t see him and was wondering how I was going to face my Grandma
as I was gently going back still wishing and hoping that the money will just appear, I got close to the house, fear grabbed my leg, I know that my grandma will be waiting since over two hours I Left for the market that I suppose to spend like 30minute,
What will I tell my grandma, i was so worried because I know she will be disappointed again in me, I stopped and relaxed on a tree beside the road, that was when I saw him,
Huna was holding one girl who was laughing stupidly at whatever he was saying, and they were going through another Apian way,
I ran as my leg can Carry me, and met up with them,
Huna stopped as I got close and shouted his name
I looked at the girls hand she was holding money, i don’t need to start asking or arguing with him since he wasn’t my boyfriend, I was feeling bad already when i saw him with another girl, after he told me he was coming back, but the problem at hand is how to get money to replaced for my grandma,
I faced Huna and told him I was looking for my money, he was my last hope, he was trying to act surprise but I wasn’t in the mood for drama, I asked him to lend me money I will pay him back, the Girl with him was already getting irritated because of I was wasting there time, but I pleaded any way, Huna asked the girl to give him back the money he gave her, she refused and said if he collects the money back then she will not go again with him, because she have already planned what she will do with the money, Huna collected the money from her and gave me, he asked me to return it as soon as possible, I promised him not to worry I will return it
I couldn’t go to market again because I can’t remember anything again except crayfish,
I know my grandma will be mad at me if I return without the food items, but I was happy to have gotten the money, let me go and ask her for the main items and also write them down,
Grandma was angry as I narrated to her how I lost money which made me to forget all she asked me to buy, she asked me to bring the money with me let her see, I gave it to her, she exclaimed that it was the exact money she gave me before,
I told her that it was a different money, that I borrowed the money from somebody, but grandma insisted, and said whoever lend me the money was the thief that stole it, I told her the name of the person probably she Will know because Huna said he was popular and my grandma knew him and said he has pregnanted almost all the young girls in this village, he was also notorious… She warned me by drawing my eyes never to get close to him,
I can’t argue with my Grandma because she sounded so sure, which means that Huna stole my money and still borrowed me same money back, he has already given his girlfriend or whatever the girl is to him the money, I thank God i saw them on time
I didn’t go to the market Again, we end up cooking something else,
After three days grandma sent me back to the market but I listed it down just in Case I forget because I don’t trust myself with remembering things again when my head was almost filled up with my dream man
On my way I met Huna, I was already angry on seeing him again, how can this fine boy I’m crushing on be a thief, he stole from me and still have the mind to lend me back the same money, he was not even wise,
Even through I didn’t notice the colour or what the money looked like and i wouldn’t have known if not for my grandma, all thanks to my grandma
As Huna walked up to me and demanded for the money he borrowed me, I asked him if it was the same one he stole from me or another one, he looked surprised and begin to swear that he didn’t steal any money from me,
I insulted him for stealing the little money my grandma sent me to the market with after engaging me in his stupid jokes, when he saw that he has being exposed, he said he will just dash me the money since I have refuse to pay back, he shamelessly turned and walked away
After the two encounter with Huna I loosed my imagination about him, I will be careful with all this cheerful good looking guys
My Dad sent a message that I should comeback and get a job instead of wa-isting away time in the village I was already planing to do that before he called,
My two younger sibling who were on holiday came down to stay with my grandma instead,
So I returned back and begin my job search, and after searching for so Long i found one in a big hotel, as a GSA, guest service agent, so I was working in a front office with other girls, I was really happy
The pay was good plus the tips we get from guest, and I was seriously saving up for school so that I can further my education, if I collect my salary every month I send small to my Dad because I stay at the staff quarters and I hærdly go home, i was also happy for that too, escaping the crowded house and my troublesome siblings, i only go home maybe twice in a month or during one of my off days,
It was stressful job, And I have to be on night shift most time, but I liked the job because of the money involved,
As usual I went about my business checking guest in and out with my colleagues,
I was on my duty with my colleague, Cynthia when a chubby guy walked in with his luggage, and i attended to him, he wasn’t really handsome, and does not fit into the categories of cute” guys, he was jovial, as he joked with me, but I tried to keep it professional, he even looked like somebody that does not have money, after asking for one of the medium rooms, after I attended to him coldly not really laughing at his jokes, he Left to his room, he said he was going to spend 3 months in the hotel, maybe he was running away from something, I just hope he has enough money to pay For his three months stay
The following day another person that I liked came, he was very cute and his dressing speaks of wealth, and fortunate enough he liked me too, I really felt very proud, I have somebody that’s looks exactly like my dream man, not like Huna or the chubby guy who checked in yesterday who was trying to be friendly with me and I was showing him a red light,
I quickly got his name, Ovi, his name sounded so Sweet, he told me he will be in the hotel for three month because he has some work he came to do with his boss, Ovi said his boss checked in yesterday, he came in before him, and his boss was building his house and needed to stay away until it was completed,
Lots of people checked in both big and Small so I wouldn’t know who his boss was, but whoever that was his boss must be a very big Man, I wished I have even met his boss, probably I’m not the person that checked Ovi’s boss in,
We became close friends, he asked me out and I accepted quickly, I still saw the chubby guy but I don’t pay attention to him, he was acting all nice around me, wanting to be friendly but he wasn’t my type,
I can’t date any guy that doesn’t have money or that is not cute, and this chubby guy Who I don’t Care to get his name wasn’t close to my type of man,
If he has obvious money I can manage to date him but he doesn’t, so whenever I see him coming I Tell Cynthia my colleague to attend to him
But I love attending to my Ovi,
After two months the chubby guy who’s name was Kris asked my colleague Cynthia out and she accepted, I tried talking to her about being with a guy who can’t take Care of her, she said she likes him, everything wasn’t about money,
Already I was dating Ovi , I so much loved the guy, he also gives me money and takes me out on my off day in his fine car
Three months later my colleague resigned and said Kris has something better for her outside here, I laughed at her because Kris looked like some body that can’t even take care of himself,
I was shocked when I later found out that Kris was Ovi’s boss,
The worst shock came when Ovi broke up with me as they were checking out, telling me that he has a girlfriend outside and was only using me to pass time while he was around, I even begged him but he walked away leaving me heartbroken
I was heartbroken again,
When Cynthia called me that Kris has sent her back to school, and he is planing to marry her when he return from Paris, my heart was shattered, I started regretting a lot of things, I would have being the one in school now and planing to be come a rich Man’s Wife if I have treated Kris well and paid attention to him, instead of pushing Cynthia to him
I was really heart broken because the men I fancied kept on disappointing me. The good men who are really cute, and doesn’t disappoint only lives in My imagination, they aren’t real..
Despite being broken i know i will be fine.
