Chapter 12: WELCOME HOME, KITTEN (II)

I looked at mom, Gene and Danielle while I followed him behind. Dad wasn’t in the church, and leaving without saying a good bye to him, pained me so much.

He is the main reason why I am leaving, the one who told me what was right. He directed me to my fate, and now I was leaving, I won’t get the chance to say goodbye.

We exited the church hall, he went to stopped to answer his phone call, while the guards esc-rted me to the vehicle in front.

I’ll admit, I couldn’t stop myself from gasping. This car was one in a million, I have never seen such kind of car before.

Like really…? What kind of man is he?

Then I heard the sound of a parking car, looking back, it was Dad. He was looking at me with a tearful eyes. I could feel it, I could feel the pains of loosing me burning in his in,side.

Since I was little, I’ve always preferred mom to Dad. Not that I hated him, don’t get me wrong, I felt mothers were everything one can ever have in the world.

But now, I was seeing that wasn’t a hundred percent truth. Sometimes, our fathers are all we have. Just speaking from experience.

I never saw that coming, all this while he respected our decision all because he wants to save his marriage. Not to let his children think that he was a bad father, he wants to be there for us.

But, we never saw that coming. We were all this year’s blinded by mother’s words. I know she’s only trying to protect me, I know she so much cares about me.

But I was damn tied of being protected. We can never run from our destiny, isn’t that clear enough for her to understand?!

I felt the hot tears escape my eyes, ” I love you, Dad. ” I mouthed.

” I love you too, Ana. Till we meet again. ” He mouthed back at me.

I nodded, shutting my eyes close while the lazy tears in my eyes rolled down on my cheeks. Today will be the last day I will get to meet him. I doubt my mate will give me the chance to see him again.

One of the guards opened the back seat door for me to enter. As soon as I entered, I found myself crying the more. My eyes were soaked with tears and they just ran uncontrollably down my face.

If there is anyone I miss the most, it’s Dad. I wish I can just open the door and run to his arms to k-ss him my last goodbye.

The urge and the emotions to do so pulled me that I ended up doing so. I opened the door, and immediately the guards were about to run after me when he rose his right hand at them, ordering them to stop.

They stopped following me. Dad never expected me to do this, but my heart desperately wanted me in his embrace. He opened the door, stepping out of his car.

I held my gown high while I kept running to his direction. He spread his arms wide up for me, as I found warmth in those arms.

” Dad… ” I said tearfully, choking on my words. ” Dad… ”

” Ana, I understand. ”

” Dad, I’m gonna miss you a lot. Dad, I’m gonna miss… ”

He hugged me tighter, ” Sweetheart, you know what you are about to face now, right? ”

I nodded my head.

” This is your reality, you are about to create a new history with them. Fate never made any mistake joining you with him, we are just to foolish to understand. ” He sighed. ” Honestly, I really will miss you too. I wish I was able to be a good father to you and your sisters, I hope I can make it up to them. ”

” You were a good father to me. Although, I never understood the kind of man you were before, but now I do, I feel like I still have a lot to learn from you. I still feel strange to you, Dad, I want to understand, I still want to learn. ”

” I understand. But it pains me your sisters aren’t like you. I wish they can accept me the way you did. ”

I exhaled shakily. ” Very soon, when I get to understand the wolf lives, I’ll talk to him. ” I said, referring to my mate.

” Why? ” He asked, looking confused.

” I’ll seek for his permission to let you pay me a visit. Don’t die, don’t run away, we still need to meet someday. And I hope that day won’t seem like eternity. I just hope. ”

He broke the hug, ” I hope so too. I’ll be waiting patiently for that day. Don’t keep me waiting. ”

” I won’t. ” I said with a nod. ” I promise. Good bye, Dad. ”

” Good bye, Ana. Always remember that I love you so much. ”

” I won’t. I love you too, Dad. ” He k-ssed my forehead, playing a smile on his face. ” Be happy for me, okay? ”

I formed a smile. ” I will. ”

I got to the black car, before I entered I stared at him for a short while, then I hopped in.

She had slept off. Though she tried to stop herself from crying, but the pains… It hurts a lot. It was her first time leaving home to another.

Her first time to experience a family life with no relative there to advice or encourage her on what and what not to do.

As they got to the big mansion, which almost looked like a castle, the cars halted.

He exited the car, walking to the other side. He opened the door, carrying her in his arms. One of the guard helped him close the door, while he went ahead into the building.

He dropped her in one of the rooms, one he had prepared for her a long time ago, waiting for the day to bring her back home.

He gently dropped her on the bed, shifting the strands of her hair to the side of her ear. ” So long have I waited for you, kitten, finally…” He smiled, sighing. ” Finally. ” He k-ssed her forehead, before leaving the room.

He shut the door after him.

Chapter 13: ATTEMPT.

She woke up to see herself in a well furnished room filled with red colour. She stared at herself, she was still putting on her wedding gown.

She went to the mirror to stare at herself, she looked a bit messy. Her hair had leave it’s normal position, and she seemed not to care about the look.

She left the room, and when she noticed no one was around, she went straight to the kitchen. She was damn hungry and wanted something to eat.

Perceiving the sweet aroma of hot chicken from where she was, she hurried her footsteps, not minding how she looked like doing so.

She almost put her hand into the plate when the chief cook caught her. ” Hey, Miss, that food is still hurt. ” She quickly took the kitchen knife beside, pointing it at her. ” Fine, you can have it hot. ” She surrendered.

Illiana took a handful of the chicken meat, having a mouthful of it in her mouth. ” Mmm, you really are a good cook. ”

She left the kitchen, hungrily eating on the never finishing chicken. Some maids had seen her with the knife, on trying to stop her, she directed the knife at them.

” Any step close to me and I will kill you all.” One hand held the knife, while the other held her meat firmly. She bite another mouthful, ” Don’t come close. ”

” Miss, you need to drop that knife down and we can talk. ” Said one of the servants.

” Look, gentleman, I’m a little bit busy so, I don’t think I’m ready for a talk. ” Someone tried taking it from the back, but she was so fast to turn, causing him to move back. ” I’m serious, I’m gonna kill anyone who comes closer! ”

Someone left to call The Master, knocking on his door, he asked. ” Who is that? ”

” It is I, Morphy, Sir. ”

” Come in,” he permitted. As Morphy entered, he asked again, his gaze focused on his paper. ” Is there a problem? ”

” Honestly, there is. ”

He rode his eyes at him, ” What problem? ”

” Sir, it’s the lady you brought in. ”

” What happened to her? ”

” She… She’s attempting to kill herself. ”

He stood up, shutting the book close. ” She’s attempting to kill herself and none of you could do anything about it?! ” He stormed.

” Sir, we tried to stop her but she promises to kill anyone who tries to stop her or she kills herself. ”

He scoffed. ” This is shit. A single handed woman attempts to kill herself and no one, not even you could stop her? All because of a damn single knife? Sounds interesting. ”

Morphy was surprised on how he got to know that she was with a knife. Hee remembered not making mention of it to him.

Oh, he must have forgotten, he was the alpha as well as a mind reader too. Guess that slipped off his mind so soon.

” Take me to her. ” He followed Morphy to the scene.

From up, he watched as she scared them with a knife. And he couldn’t stop from smiling at how stubborn she listened to them and how effortlessly they tried stopping her.

This was getting more interesting than Morphy had explained.

She pointed the knife on her neck, ” What’s wrong with you guys? What’s so difficult to understand, leave me alone?! ”

” Master, look she will kill herself. ” Morphy said fearfully.

He chuckled, ” No, she’s not. She’s only trying to threaten them. Trust me, I know what game she’s trying to play. ”

Again, not just her neck, this time she moved the knife to her gown, tearing the neck part of it. They all gasped. Some who even had to close their eyes from beholding her uncladness.

His eyes w¡dened as he also thought she was about to strip herself unclad. But surprisingly, when she had torn the gown in halves, she was seen to be putting on a sleeveless shirt and a black jean trouser.

This left him laughing the more. ” I love this woman. ” Morphy looked at him, he wasn’t finding anything interesting. That Illiana of a girl had just given him a blood pressure.

” Get her a new cloth, let her have a good shower, she’ll be having dinner with me tonight. ” Still with the smile, he left back to his office.

(Later That Night…)

” The master wishes to have dinner with you tonight. ” Illiana rose her eyes at the young lady who looked like she was in her nineteen. ” That will be in the next thirty minutes, I guess. ”

” What kind of dinner? ”

” Just… dinner. ”

” I’m not hungry. ”

” No one rejects The Master’s proposal. I doubt he will love to hear that. ” She went to the wardrobe, searching for something nice Illiana will wear. ” Would you mind for a warm bath or cold? ”

” Warm. ” She replied. ” What’s your name? ” She asked.

She stopped searching, taking the red mini gown in her hand as she dropped it on the bed. ” My name is Hilda, and yours? ” She asked back.

” Illiana. ”

” Nice meeting you, Ana. ”

She smiled. ” You too. ”

” So, I’m gonna get your water ready while you just hold on a sec. And… from today, I’m gonna be your maid. You can feel free to tell me anything you want and I’ll have it done as soon as possible. ” She grinned at her, leaving to the bathroom to get the warm water ready.

Illiana checked the cloth, she wasn’t good at mini gowns, she was better with trousers. When Hilda comes, she was gonna ask for a different dress.

First time dinning with her mate and she was gonna wear this?? She can’t even imagine how uncomfortable she will feel when he looks at her.

Luckily, Hilda showed up. ” Hilda, can I get something more different than this? Like a trouser, I think that will be better. ”

” We do have trousers but that’s only on a casual day. But when it involves The Master, you wear something… special. ” Illiana gave up, she wished she can cancel the dinner and give stupid excuses. ” Well, you water is ready. ”

” Thanks. ”

She hesitated to leave her room. She kept staring at herself at the mirror over and over again. Even while she was still in her room, she still felt uncomfortable, how then will it be when he looks at her?

” You look beautiful in the dress. ” Hilda complemented.

” Thanks. But it’s a little bit tight. ” She complained. ” Does it have to expose my body stature? Can’t I get something a little bit lossy, you know it’s my first time. ”

Hilda went back to get something more better. Another red gown which was a big lossy and longer. Illiana felt comfortable in it, and she was ready to go.

She stared at herself for the last time, taking in a deep breath, she exhaled heavily. ” Let’s go. ” She said confidently.

Hilda opened the door while Illiana walked in. He was busy with his phone that he didn’t notice her walk in. He got distracted by the sound of a shifted chair.

He rose his eyes at her, staring at her like a scanning machine. He smirked. ” You look beautiful in the dress. ” He complimented.

” Thank you. ” She blushed.

” Please have a seat. ” She sat down on the chair. ” Thanks for accepting my proposal. ”

” A pleasure. ” He was giving her those uncomfortable gaze, Illiana tried as much as possible to avoid it. She found it difficult to hold the fork in her hand, it was little the entire world was staring at her.

” Shall we? ” He ushered, and they began to eat their food.

After a brief moment, she asked. ” What are you going to do with my family? ” She asked,

” I have nothing to do with them. They aren’t my business, you are. ”

” So, what are you going to do with me then? I doubt you had taken me as just your mate, who knows if you are up to making me your hostage or turning me to one of your kind. ”

He dropped his fork halfway. ” I’m not thinking of doing any of that, especially not to my mate neither am I trying to turn you to my kind. Like I once told you, I respect human’s decisions. ” He sighed. ” I can only do that if you want me to, it’s your choice. ”

” You can feel free to ask me anything, I’m ready to answer your questions. ”

” Now that I am with you, what will happen to the mark on my back? ”

” The mark is permanent, but the pains were only temporal. So in answer to your question, you won’t be able to feel the pains anymore but the mark will still remain. ”

” Will it still grow? ”

” No. Don’t worry about it, ” he assured her. ” it’s just a sign of ownersh¡p, that’s all. ”

” Why do you have to torture me with it? ”

” I didn’t. You did. ”

” What’s that supposed to mean? ”

” That wasn’t supposed to hurt if you had returned to me earlier. The more distance you give to me, the worster the pains become for you. But you were too stubborn to understand. ”

She rolled her eyes. ” I wasn’t, you were just too pushy to my life. ”

He chuckled. ” Was I? ”

She didn’t say a word.

” If I was too pushy as you said, I would have taken you the day at the hospital not withstanding your decisions. ” He grinded on his food. ” Don’t worry, I won’t rush your feelings. Whenever you are ready, I’ll be waiting. ”
