Chapter 34&35: THE VISION (In The Library).

I was having dinner with Kaden, Coen and Laura. Coen has admitted he really did miss me, and so did I. It’s been long we met, and I almost thought he travelled until he said he was in his room all those while.

Well, congrats to him.

Nothing made me happy than the fact that Kaden finally slept today. He looked lively, and the way he chatted made me happy.

Coming back to Coen, did I ever say he’s a good joker? Of course, he is. I can’t stop laughing out my lungs, I almost forgot I still have my food untouched.

” You really are gonna kill me, Coen.” Laura

” What?! Kaden can testify that. Ain’t I right, Kad? ”

I nodded.

” Kaden knows you’re lying that’s why he didn’t talk. ” I snapped, ” So tell us, Kaden, what really happened? ”

Coen was looking at him, the look told how scared he was to hear what Kaden’s got to say. ” Kaden?” Laura called.

He moved his eyes at her, but still said nothing. ” Every thing he said are true, since I know Coen, he never lies to me or any one. ” He finally said after what took like minutes.

Coen and I made eye contact, he winked at me. ” Told ya, I don’t tell lies. ”

We finished eating, some maids had come to clear the table away. While the lady who came to take my plates away, touched my cup to put it in the tray.

It mistakenly fell on the floor, ” I’m sorry,” she apologized, bending to pick the cup from the floor.

I also bent to pick it up, when my hand mistakenly touched hers. My heart started beating fast, immediately I took my hands off her.

We made eye contact but I acted in a pretentious way so as to avoid Suspense. ” Thank you. ” I waved a smile at her and she did the same.

” Illiana, it’s time. ” I heard a voice whispered in my head.

” Guys, I gotta go to my room, feeling a bit sleepy. ”

” I’ll come with you. ” Kaden said, standing up.

” Don’t worry, I can walk alone. Besides, they still need you. ” I said, referring to Coen and Laura.

I left to my room. Seeing Crystal on the bed and her food still untouched. She was fast asleep and I could hear the sound of her snore from the door.

I walked to the wardrobe, changing to my night dress. I stretched, yawning as I laid on my bed. I rubbed her head gently as I forced myself to sleep.

” Good night, Crystal. ”

It was about twenty minutes or so, when Kaden walked in. Illiana had forgotten to turn off the light. He sat beside her, shifting the strands of her hair with a soft k-ss he placed on her head.

She was mumbling something, and he leaned his ear close to listen but he couldn’t understand what it is she was saying.

” No… No…” That was the only word he could hear.

” Ana..” he called.

” No.. No. No, please stop. Please…!”

” Ana. Ana, wake up. Ana! ”

She opened her eyes, ” Ana, are you alright? ” He asked worriedly.

She said nothing. Stepping out of the bed, she walked straight to the door, unconsciously. Kaden only stared at her as she left her room.

He was shocked, terrified. He stood for a while, not knowing what to think of. What is happening? But that’s a question no one can answer. So, he decided to follow her.

He didn’t call her name again, but kept walking after her. He was surprised again as he notice her walk through the left stair case. He can’t remember showing her to the stairs since he brought her to the castle.

She stopped at the old brown door, just a whisper, and the door opened. Kaden was short of words, that even his brain couldn’t comprehend what was really going on with his Mate.

She unconsciously kept on walking through the shelves, searching for a book no one knows. She stopped at the table located at the center of the library where the library keeper always stays.

There was nothing on the table, it was empty but filled with dust and curb webs. Her eyes darted to a shelf, walking close to it, she picked a book out of the shelf, returning back to the table.

She dropped it on the table, flipping the pages of the book until she got to a page, she stopped. Her fingers ran through the writings. Shutting her eyes close, she opened it again.

There were lots of voices every where. She saw people as they walk in and out of the library. Majority of them had their faces covered, while the others were opened.

They all seem to come with the same purpose. Not to find more about history as every one know a library for, they made use of magic and witchcraft.

She saw how they always threaten the library keeper when ever he tries to hide the dark magic book from them. ” You have just one chance to give us the book, or you will die. ”

” I… I am sorry, I do not hold the dark spell book. It is the Majesty who has it in his possession. ” Said the library keeper, firghtened.

” Liar! We were told it is some where in this library. We have no time to waste, Mr, go ahead and give us the book or you die. I will not have to repeat myself again. ” He threatened.

” Like I said, The Master has it under his possession. If you really want the book, you have to meet him yourself. ” He persisted.

” Fine. I will come back for you soon, do not expect to see the light of the day if I find out that you lied to me. ” He warned.

” And I will be waiting. ” He said confidently.

While the men left the library, he quickly went to hide the magic sleep book under ground. It was a hidden place in the castle only few people are aware of.

There was a lock in his desk which looked like a decorative horse. She shifted it left, then right and left again. The table shifted to the left, waves of dust evaporated out from the ground.

There was a staircase, the same the keeper had followed. She followed him and Kaden quietly followed after her. The fire lamps lightened as she walked pass them, creating light in the dark tunnel.

There laid a coffin box made of metal, coloured in a bronze colour. It had an ancient words written all over it. He said some magical words, and the box opened with a cracking sound.

He dropped the book into the box, repeating the same ancient words and it closed back. He created a barrier that no ordinary person can break through it.

Kaden on the other hand, was getting more confused than he should be. He wished he could see what she was seeing. But all he could see was his Mate walking through the hidden tunnel of the castle.

Whatever that has brought her here must be an effect of her return from The Amazon Home. Some of her actions were so suspicious but he decided not to ask.

But why…? He thought, why has she been keeping this away from him? Is that why he can’t read through her minds again?

She twisted the statued horse three time to locked the tunnel. Then again, there was this figure who entered the library, that was two days after the men had paid the keeper a visit.

The figure was covered in a black coat, and not even the face could be seen.

” Who are you?” Asked the keeper.

The figure slowly opened the hoodie of the cap, letting a gasp from the keepers mouth. ” Your majesty, ” he said, surprised. ” What are you doing here by this time of the night? ”

” Spare me the surprise, Fred. I need the book. ” She ordered.

” What book? ” He asked.

” Don’t act like you don’t know what I am talking about. I need the book, Fred. ” She requested.

” We have so many books in this room, maybe you should be a little more specific. ”

She smirked evilly, ” I see how smart you’ve become. I let you free the last time, I won’t this time. Fine, I will be specific to you. The magic book, I need it now. ”

” How many time will I have to repeat the same thing over and over again? I will keep saying it, I do not have the book here. You are the closest person to the king’s heart, you should ask him yourself. I am sure he will offer it to you. ”

” Don’t lie to me. ”

” Do I look like a liar to you? Or have I in any way lied to her royal majesty? But… If you still think I am indeed lying, then you are free to search every where yourself. ”

She smirked again.

” But, why do you desperately want this book if I may ask? ”

” It’s none of your business, Fred, just shut the f*ck up. ” She warned.

” The King so much loved you than anyone, why will you want to do evil behind his back?”

” Don’t worry, very soon, you will find out for yourself. Then, I will be ruling this park all by myself. And not even you nor your pathetic King will stop me. ”

He laughed. ” Ha ha, you think it’s the King that only stands? Or have you forgotten the King has a son too? Don’t worry, your majesty, you will be the one watching as Master Kaden takes over the throne. ”

” No way! That pathetic little son of a bitch has nothing to do with what belongs to me. If he ever return to the castle, I won’t hesitate to kill him in your watch. ”

” So, what are you planning to do? Kill the King and his son too, then take over the throne and the rest of it’s people? ”

” Exactly. Thankfully, I won’t have to explain in details. ”

” Like I said, His Majesty is with the book, if you want it, then go meet him yourself. ”

” I’ll be back for you, Fred. Very soon. ”

” And I will be waiting, My lady. ”

Later the next night, the same men had come to the library. But not just them, this time, a lady was with them. She had a dark red hair, her red nails as tall as that of a Lion.

She swung her hair with her hand, biting on her lower l-ips as she made sounds with her tongue. ” Never knew there is such a place like this. ”

” Welcome to the great library, ” Fred introduced, ” Who are you and how may I help you? ” He asked the red haired lady for he already know the men.

” Let’s just say, I’m your new visitor. And why I am here? Let’s also say, you already know why. ”

He scoffed.

” Can you detect if he is lying or not?” One of them said.

” Mmm.. Let me see. ” She was staring deep into his eyes, and him into hers. He forced himself not to look at her but, he couldn’t resist her gaze. “He is lying. ” She told them. ” The book is somewhere in this library. ”

” Where? ” One of them asked.

” That is where I do not know. ”

Fred started laughing. ” Do whatever you want, read through my head but you will not get to the book, you witch.”

” Witch?” She laughed loud, ” Well, watch me as I get it. ” They exchanged spells against each other. The other men went ahead searching every shelves and corner of the library.

” Not here.” They said to each other.

Illiana’s eyes darted to the direction of the door as the Queen walked in. She didn’t let anyone know about her entrance, she was covered in her causal coat.

” It’s time, Delilah. ” Fred and Delilah stopped fighting. ” The King will be dead tonight, and I will have my way into his secret chamber. Then, I will find the book. ”

” You are too fast to actions, My Lady. The book isn’t in the king’s possession. ” Delilah informed. ” The keeper is lying. ”

” What are you talking about? ” She asked.

” The book is in this library, but I’m yet to find out where it is. The King will die any moment from now, do you have any excuse to give to the people? ” She asked.

” Leave that to me. Find the book and get it to me new and intact. ”

” By the way, what’s so special about this book? ”

” A lot. It’s not just a spell book, their ancestors kept every secret of the pack in it. The only way to take over the pack, is to have the book with me. ” She looked at Fred, who was quiet through out the conversation. ” Kill him, or else our secret will be revealed. ”

” Yes, My Lady. ”

” NOOOOOO….!! ”
