I was setting the candles when the door opened. ” Hilda, please get me some more candles. It’s in the drawer. ” I said without looking at who it was.

” Here. ” Kaden said, stretching the candles to me.

” Hey, ” I took it from him.

” How was your day? ” He said with a k-ss on my neck.

” Great, what about yours?” I asked back.

” Stressful tho, but thankfully what I had planned to do gas been settled. ”

” You didn’t ask Coen for help? ”

” He was a lot busy too. Don’t worry, it’s all done and settled. ”

” Okay. Have you eaten yet? ”

” I’m not hungry. ”

” You said that yesterday, and you’re saying it again today? ”

” Coen and I went to the restaurant in town, we are enough before returning. ”

” If you say so. ”

” What about you? ” He asked, taking off his shirt.” Eaten yet? ”

” Yeah. ”

He went to lay on the bed, ” You’ve become so far lately. ” He said to my amazement.

” Me? Really? ”

” Mm-hmm. And it’s obvious, you know. I never knew you to have big stomach too. ” I chuckled. ” I’m serious. ”

” You should know I don’t eat too much. ”

” I know, that’s why I’m surprised you’ve added so much. ”

” Having known I don’t eat too much, what do you think might be the reason for being fatter? ”

He shrugged. ” I don’t know, I’m not a girl. I should be the one asking you that. ”

” Sometimes, you need to learn how to guess things. Now guess, what do you think might be the cause? ”

” This might sound crazy. ”

” Just say it. ”

” If you aren’t the food type then it means you’re pregnant, cause that’s the only thing that gets women fatter than they are. ”

” Most women. ”

” Yeah, most women. ”

I was smiling, he’s really smart at guessing but, he hated guessing. ” Hold on, are you pregnant?” He asked, seeing how stupidly I was smiling.

” What do you think?” I said, still smiling.

” Oh my God, you’re pregnant? This .. this is the most exciting news I’ve ever had. How long have you been with the baby? ”

” Close to six months, I guess. ”

” F*cking moly, why didn’t you tell me earlier? ”

” I wanted to make it a surprise, and it actually worked. ”

(8 Months Later… )

” So, what goodnight story do you want to listen to? ” I asked Elisa as she cuddled the blanket to herself.

” Mummy, can grandpa read the goodnight story for me? ” She said in her tiny voice.

” Why? ”

” Because you’ve been reading it since you gave birth to me. ”

” When do you think I started reading the goodnight story for you? ”

” Probably when I was a year old, I guess. ”

” Why don’t you rest while I read it for her instead. ” Dad said, from the door.

” Oh, no wonder why she refused to let me read for her, because you were here. ”

He shrugged. ” I came to check on my granddaughter.”

I stood up, walking to him. ” You actually know what I wanted, I’m f*cking tired right now. ” I whispered so as Elisa won’t hear it.

” You need to have some rest, let’s meet tomorrow. ” I nodded at him.

” Thank you. ” I k-ssed Elisa on her forehead twice before. ” Good night, sweetheart. ”

” Good night, mom.”

” Good night, Dad. ” I k-ssed his cheek.

” Good night, ” he said.

I walked out of the room, waving at Elisa. I returned back to my room, Kaden was already there laying on the bed.

” How is she?” He asked as soon as I entered.

” Dad’s with her. She refused to let me read the good night story for her. Lately, she prefers hanging around with Dad over to me. ” I laid on the bed.

” What did you do to her? ” He said with a chuckle.

I shrugged. ” That’s something for another day. I’m damn tired right now. ”

” Come on, let’s sleep together. ”

He cuddled me, until I fell asleep in his arms. ” Good night.” Was the last thing I heard, then the next thing, I saw myself in the same place I had met with the Goddess last year.

” Diana.” I called in the empty space. ” Moon Goddess, are you here?”

” Mrs Anderson. ” Called the angelic voice of the Goddess. ” Just as I was expecting. It’s been a long time since we met each other. ”

” Yes, I know, that’s why I came to see you. ”

” Is there a problem? ”

” Yes, there always is. You knew that the tribulation is coming, why did you give me Elisa? ” I asked. ” She’s innocent to leave the world so soon. ”

Diana smiled, ” I can see how worried you are, Ana, but no matter what you just have to accept fate. Whether or not your daughter is innocent, you have no choice but to let date decide. ”

” But, you are the one who programed the prophecy, you can change it. ”

Diana placed her hand on my shoulder, ” I don’t program fate, Ana, it comes. And for the past year ago, I haven’t been truthful to you. I really didn’t want to tell you this earlier because I wanted to be sure of what my instincts keeps telling me. ”

” What are you talking about. ”

She sighed, walking few steps away from me. ” I’m sorry, it’s a been all a lie all this while. There is nothing like tribulation and there’s definitely nothing like a war. ”

” But… I.. I don’t understand. I thought you said you don’t program the prophecy. ”

” I don’t, but this time, I did. You aren’t the first person I have made a prophecy to, and you definitely won’t be the last. ”

” So, you mean… all my dreams are just fake? ”

” No, they are real except from the tribulation. Sir Gof’s death, the Book and the war between your pack and the Vergence Pack, they are all real. I was only testing your faithfulness and loyalty towards your pack.

I wanted to prove to myself that I didn’t make a mistake destining you and Kaden together. I wanted to see how much you love and trust him (Kaden)

At first, when you discovered your gift, I almost doubted the fact that you could be open to your husband, but then you proved me wrong the moment you told him.

I know it’s been so difficult for you to tell anyone about what you are, I knew how bothered you are and caring for Kaden and I don’t blame you for doing what you did. But I am happy, you did well in your test. ”

Illiana blinked in confusion.” You were testing me? ”

She nodded a ‘ yes. ‘

I chuckled, ” Did I passed or fairly passed or worst, failed? ”

She smiled for a while, in,side me I wanted her to just tell me already and stop keeping me hanging. ” Did I?”

” When I said you did well, I meant you really did pass the test.”

I was almost in paradise right now, my heart skipped in excitement as I jumped in jubilation. I was dumbfounded but all still the same, I was damn so happy.

” Really?” I said. ” I really did pass the test? I mean, I’m really destined to be with Kaden? ”

She nodded.

” Oh, ” I gasped the word, ” thank you so so much, Moon Goddess, I really appreciate it. Talking about you faking the prophecy, do you mean none of it isn’t happening? ”

” The peace of the world has proven why the tribulation isn’t worth to take place. And your husband has showed how faithful he is to me.

I have admired the strength and wisdom of Kaden Anderson. Go home and worry no more, fate has made a new hope for everyone, including you. ”

” Will I still be able to see things or is it gone as well? ”

” Do you want to lose the gift? ” She calmly asked me.

” Though it hasn’t been easy for me with seeing and hearing horrific voices, I still like the way I am. It will be helpful for the pack in the future. ”

Diana sighed heavily. ” This might be the end we will see, I hope you to see you someday again, Mrs Anderson. ”

” I hope to see you too, Diana. ”

I opened my eyes feeling excited and happy at the same time. Finally, it all turns out that the tribulation wasn’t really gonna happen.

It has all been a test? Oh, shit where will I have been if I was found unworthy?

I know my stubborn nature had gotten me to some point I have luckily overcome. I hope that what the Moon Goddess had said in my dream will turn out to be the real truth because, I just can’t imagine how excited Kaden will be when I tell him the good news.

On the other hand, it has given me hope that no one, not even Elisa would end up being a corpse.

The morning has arrived, the day looked new than ever. I had summoned Kaden, Coen, Laura and Hilda to the room to tell them about this.

I know it would be a lot difficult for me to explain it all to the three of them (excluding Kaden) but I have to.

” Well, I called you all here because I wanna tell you…” I sighed, ” I’ll just go to the point. Well, it all started…. ”

There came a loud voice above the roof which sounded like a bomb, we all rushed to the window to take a look and to our greatest surprise…

” What are they doing here? ” Kaden growled.

” Who are they? ” We all asked in unison.

” My father’s enemies…”

They all left the room, standing at the entrance of the building as they waited for the approaching wolf pack.

They were known as the Lanisters. One of the most deadliest wolf pack in the world.

Years back, it was said that they once had issue with the previous king, Kaden’s father which hasn’t been resolved until this day.

Illiana seems to be more scared than anyone. She was some how beginning to doubt what the Moon Goddess had told her.

She said it was all fake and that there was no war ahead, why then are the Lanisters coming?

Is it that fate has programmed a new prophecy again? One even the Moon Goddess isn’t aware of?

Her legs were trembling, even with the looks on their faces, one can tell they weren’t coming for a peace talk.

” What now, Kaden?” Coen asked.

” We wait for whatever reason they’re here for. ” He answered.

” What if they aren’t here for peace? Or what if they had our heads blown off with whatever it is they had shot on our roof? ” Laura asked.

” That wasn’t a bomb, Laura. ” He said with his eyes rolled.

” Who knows? But it did scared the shit outta me. Whatever reason it is they are here, you better get it solved today. ”

Kaden only spare her a glance, then staring back at the Lanisters who were now few metres away.

They all got down from their horses. The man in front who is there leader, walked up to Kaden.

At first, his face wasn’t wearing a good expression, but then it played a chuckle. He stretched out for a handshake, which got Kaden surprised.

” Come on, Mr Anderson, I ain’t here for a war. ” He said.

Kaden stared at his numerous men who looked angrier and pissed off. ” Why are they with you? ” Kaden asked.

” They aren’t our problem, I’m just here to settle my case with your father.”

” My father is dead, you’re aware of that, aren’t you? ”

” Everyone is… ” He stretched out his hand again. ” Are you in for the settlement or not? ”

Kaden held his hand, returning the handshake. ” I’m in. ”

Then everything was settled. Ana’s risen heart seem to have relieved a bit and so was Laura’s who almost felt death knocking.

Laura turned to Ana, ” You still have some unfinished discussion with us. ”

Ana shrugged. ” Let’s just hope the peace talk turns out well, then, I’ll let you know all you need to know. ”

The peace talk between the Lanisters and the Moon Stone Pack went well as everyone did expected. One by one different wolf packs came to join alliance with Kaden.

The Moon Stone Pack had support and they were becoming the greatest just as the prophecy had foretold. ” During the three years of peace, Kaden will become a great king. ”

Indeed, that part of the prophecy wasn’t a lie.

And now Kaden has 80% of the support of other wolf packs, he was as much ready for whatever the future has for him.

Whether the prophecy was false or not….
