💋 Chapter Seventy 💋

Kylie wasn’t concentrated on the food she was eating. She was just concerned about the boy she met in the woods. She wished she gets to know more about him but she felt some connections with him.

“Kylie? Why aren’t you eating?” Robby asked.

“I don’t feel like it Dad” she said.

“Do you have anything on your mind?” Henry asked and Kylie shook her head. She wondered why her Uncle left the town and came back after so many years. She was sure he went to made more of their kinds wherever he went to.

Kylie shook her head and grabbed her fork.
“I’ve got nothing on my mind” he said.

“When do you plan to show me my grand children?” Robby asked and Kylie smiled.

“When they are old enough, I will bring them to you. For now, they can’t”

“But why? Elina has seen them countless number of times, why not me?”

She sighed and dropped her fork.
“Dad! Vampires can’t hide their identity. My daughter can figure out what you are just by a twinkle of an eye. She’s very inquisitive”

“It’s no big deal”

“If she walks up to you and ask why you have red eyes, what would you say?”

“I’m a vampire?”

Kylie shook her head and continued eating.
“You can meet her next month. But only Allison, not Josh” he said.

Sean drove back to school. He got into the class after the second lesson.

“Dude, where were you? Why did you come late?” Gabriel asked in a whisper.

Sean neglected his question. He just had the image of his mother in his mind. He didn’t even concentrate in class. All he wanted to do was to hug his mother but it was impossible. He couldn’t hug the person that doesn’t know who he was. His lips crept into a smile when he remembered her trying to fight him. He could see the look on her face when she was trying to fight him.

Gabriel walked in with a wrap of burger and soda. He placed it in front of Sean.
Sean snapped out of his thought and stared at his friend.

“What’s this?” He asked.

“Well, since you didn’t come for lunch, I decided to bring lunch to you” he said.

He sighed and leaned on his hand.
“Sorry dude, I’ve been thinking”

“Thinking about what? Do you have a girl in your life?” He asked and Sean shot him a hard glare.

“No, I…” He stammered then remembered Hazel. She doesn’t want anything to do with him even if they just met for two days.

“No, I don’t” he finally spoke.

“Then what sh!t are you thinking about?” He asked.

Sean drew his head closer to his friend.
“I stalked my mother today and almost got attacked by a pack of vampires!”

“What? Did they..”

“No, they didn’t harm me. I escaped but… My mom, she’s so beautiful and elegant. She also had the skills and guess what, her daughter is the one who has a crush on me. Allison is my step sister”

Gabriel adjusted his cap and turned it to the back.
“Unbelievable! I think she’s going to see her father. He is the head of the vampires”

“What happened to her mother? My grandmother?” Sean asked.

“I don’t really know. Rumor had it that she was killed and her body was burnt to ashes by the former head of the vampires. He was a slayer”

“Should I believe that?” Sean asked.

“Like I said, it’s a rumor. Besides, what did you say to her? Did you tell her who you are?” He asked and Sean shook his head.

“I couldn’t. I don’t know if she would want me back if she get to know who I am” he said.

Gabriel pushed his food to him.
“Eat and stop thinking. You have to tell her you are her son and she’s your mother when next you meet her” Gabriel said.

Sean picked the burger and pushed it to him mouth.

During dinner, Kylie was dishing out the meal as everyone sat on the table.
“No, your mother will have to attend that. I’m having an important meeting at the office tomorrow”

“Please Dad!”

“What is it Allison?” Kylie asked.
She frowned and stared at her mother.

“I wanted dad to attend the PTA meeting in school”

“So, is it only for dads?” She asked.

Allison diverted her gaze from her mother. She was still angry that she didn’t let her go to the party that Saturday.

“I know you are mad at me Allison but you can’t stay mad at me forever. So, I want to make it up to you. After the meeting, we are going to the mall”

Allison slammed her hand on the table as her eyes shot wide open.
“The mall!!!!”

Kylie nodded. She remembered that was the way her own mother made it up to her. The same night she figured out that her mother was a witch. She snapped back to reality and gazed at Allison. She was already smiling and eating her meals.

“So, am I invited?”

Allison nodded.
“Of course you are. You are the best mom in the whole world!!!” She yelled.

Jasper faced his son.
“We’ll also go out son. Don’t listen to your mother”

“Mom is still the best, dad!” Josh said.

Everyone laughed except Jasper.
“No ice cream for you again”

“Mom?”

“I promise to get you all the ice cream in the world” Kylie said to Josh.

“Yay!”

Sean was eating some cereal in the kitchen when Charlie stepped into the kitchen and also served himself.

“I saw the mail. I won’t be able to come to the meeting”

“It’s obvious that you aren’t my father” Sean said and rinsed his plate.

“Of course I’m your father” Charlie bounced back.

“Real fathers do everything to make their children happy but mine is way different. My so called father loves to f*ck, f*ck and what else, ohhh… F*ck!”

“Oh no, can’t you see I don’t bring in ladies home anymore. I’m trying to change”

Suddenly, there was a knock on the kitchen door. A half naked lady walked in all sweaty. Her hair was scattered and her eyes was so pale.
“Come on baby. The movie is almost over” she said.

“I’ll be there sweetheart” Charlie replied and she walked out of the kitchen.

Sean gave his father a what the f*ck look.
“If they ask of my father, I’ll just tell them that he’s dead” he said and left.

“Sean! Sean! Arghh! F*ck!!!” He groaned and threw his plate on the floor.

“Bye Mom! Don’t forget the meeting. It starts at exactly 10a.m” Allison yelled as she ran out of the house.

“Yes baby! See you soon!” Kylie yelled back.
She was helping Jasper adjust his tie.

“What can I do without you?” Jasper asked.

“Uh… A lot of things” she replied and brushed some invincible dirt off his jacket.

He quickly kissed her and kissed her forehead.
“See you later sweetheart” he said and left with Josh.

Kylie sighed and started arranging the room. Her mind drove to the person she met in the woods yesterday.

“Who can that be? Why was he following me yesterday?” she thought.

Sean walked out of his room and was heading towards the door when his father stopped him.

“Sean!”

“Don’t talk to me” he said but Charlie swiftly ran and stopped by the door.

“I’m sorry. I know I’ve been a bad father”

“Oh, praise the Lord you just figured that shit out. You are worse than bad”

Charlie nodded.
“I know that. Thank you. I will be at the meeting”

“I don’t care. I have to be on my way” he said and shoved his father out of the way. He got into his car and drove off.
He was a senior and was part of the team in charge of supervising the meeting. It wouldn’t be nice if his father doesn’t show up.

He got to school and started the arrangements. He saw Allison with her friends as they walked into the hall.

He quickly stopped what he was doing and walked towards her.

“Hey Allison!” He said.

Allison’s friends gasped. They never thought Sean could talk to either of them.

“Hi, I’m Riya” one of her friends said but Sean didn’t even listen to her.

“What do you want Sean?” Allison asked. She wanted to act hard to get but she didn’t know that Sean wasn’t after that.

He couldn’t sense that some of her friends weren’t human.

“Will your parent be attending the meeting?” He asked. He didn’t want to use the word mother not to look stupid.

“Yes. My mom will be coming soon” she said and stared at her wristwatch.

“Well, she’ll be here soon. I told her it starts 10a.m” she added.

“Good!” Sean said and walked out of the hall. He wanted to tell Kylie that he was her missing son.

He stood outside the school, impatiently waiting for her. He had the opportunity to welcome other parents into the school.

He still hoped and wished for her to be here very soon.

“Hey dude. It’s time already. You should come in” Gabriel said to him.

“Sure, I’ll be there soon” Sean replied.

He got tired of waiting. So he turned to leave.
Immediately, he heard the engine of the car driving into the compound. It stopped and suddenly switched off.

He turned and saw Kylie walking out of the car.

Sean walked towards her slowly, with his eyes still fixed on her.

She grabbed her bag from the passenger seat and turned to enter the school when she found Sean walking towards her.

Kylie remembered his face immediately.
She stood there, waiting for him to get close to her.
Her heart started beating fast.
Finally, he got close to her and stopped.

“Who are you?” She asked.
