The wh0le thing was confusing, according to Krystal, the Lyn guy could still command his pack member to attack us because he was the Alpha. No member can resist his command, she can not just because she’s his mate but also because she’s her, a cold female who in the past barely listened to anyone. She could feel him getting closer but we were still stuck outside wondering what to do.

‘Er….why don’t you sit for a while ma, your contact pacing won’t help your baby.’ Arie suggested, she seemed awfully calm for someone who might die or witness something tragic. Krystal sighed and scattered her hair.

‘The baby isn’t my problem, my problem now is my husband so please don’t tell me that. I can handle the fragile thing growing in me….what if I can’t reach him!’ She exclaimed exasperatedly throwing her hands up. Frost, the silver guy chuckled.

‘In this wh0le world, as stubborn and hsrf headed as Lyn is, who is the one person that can control him whenever she want?’ He asked smirkingly. She rolled her eyes.

‘I don’t control him, I….I….I….I….’

‘Mm hm?’ He asked teasingly, he was trying to lighten up her mood.

‘Oh! You’re annoying!’ She huffed. He grinned. ‘Don’t even think about it Frost! I don’t need your annoyance right now.’

‘But I haven’t annoyed anyone is three hours! It’s hærd to keep breathing when someone isn’t being annoyed!’ He whined loudly. ‘I need to annoy you, it’s my job. What is life about if I can’t annoy you? What is life if you have to be so free with a nice smile and not huffing and puffing because your darling brother is doing the work he was called to do….’ He fell on his knees and grabbed her legs dramatically. ‘Oh! What is life if one can fulfil his calling! Universe! Why are thy so cruel to me! Why?! Why!!!!’ He lamented dramatically and made funny crying sounds. We couldn’t help but laugh.

‘If you don’t get up right now, if we survive this, I’ll tell Faelly that you said she’s becoming too fat and old for you and she smells funny.’ His eyed w¡dened.

‘You wouldn’t!’

‘Dare me,’ she looked into his eyes challengingly. He gulped and stood up, she smiled. ‘Good boy.’

‘I didn’t even say such thing, liar. This battle is to be continued.’ She rolled her eyed and pushed his face away. Her eyes brightened as she stared ahead to some set of trees. My blood went cold, I could feel the stone from the woods. He was staring intensely at Zander who was wrapped up in my arms. Zander started shaking, he could feel it too.

‘Don’t worry, I’m….oh my….!’ I couldn’t finish, a brown wolf launched to me from nowhere in particular. It happened so fast I had no time to think but right before it landed on us, two cold hands dashed us out of the way. I looked at Frost gratefully, he didn’t pay attention. ‘Don’t cry,’ I shushed Zander. ‘Just close your eyes.’ I whispered pressing his face on my collarbone.

Wolves came out of the woods, some brown but most gray. Their eyes were red and their teeth, well…..we’re fried meat.

‘He already polluted some rogues and gave them permission to cross the boundary.’ Frost said out alarmed. He huffed. The wolves attacked, Frost stood in front of me like a bodyguard. I wasn’t allowed to use my powers yet, so it would strong enough. Arie came to my side too, electrifying whatever came close.

‘Daniel! Silver them all down but don’t kill them!’ I shouted.

‘Kill them, we don’t really care.’ Krystal said calmly, I was surprise at how powerful she was. She didn’t take a step but she had kill more rogue than anyone else presence. Daniel nodded, closed his eyes, squatted and placed his hands on the ground. The ground quaked gently at first, soon it was a full earthquake. What was he doing?

The ground cracked and split open, silver sap ascended from the cracks, the thick liquid floating above us. The rogues started to redraw, Frost too but Krystal didn’t. The silver sap formed into little blades and dart, the ground was still shaking. From the blur in my eyes, I saw a golden light flashed, I could feel it was him and Daniel was his target.

‘Krystal! He’s after….’ She was faster than I was. The light dashed off to Daniel who was still in deep concentration. She was quick enough to block and punch him back. He staggered back and hissed.

Oh God! Did I say Frost was hot? Where did this guy come from?!

His hair was gold with bright red streak and his l-ips were bright red too. Almost like he smeared l¡pstick on. His eyes were pitch black because of the demon stone and he had black veins stretching allover his face but I could still see his glorious handsomeness, his perfect muscular body. I couldn’t believe I was ogling and drooling over someone else’s property. I couldn’t help it, he was extravagantly gorgeous.

My I whimpered when my back started heating up, the mark reminding me who I belonged to. I had to shake my head and focus on what was going on.

Daniel has released the blades, the silver cut and stabbed the wolves that dared stayed back including the handsome de….I mean, Lyn. He didn’t seem to care anyways, he had his own challenge to face and that was his mate crouching in a very dangerous combat manner in front of Daniel. I noticed how reluctant he was to fight her, like he was struggling with himself.

No wonder Raquel said she was the only one who could reach out to him.

‘Lyn, can you hear me? It’s me, Krystal. You have to stop this.’ She started softly, he grunted and roared, like her voice gave him energy to fight. He charged at her, she dashed out of the way, removing Daniel as well. She pushed him over to David and sighed.

‘Lyn, I don’t want to fight you….’

‘I didn’t come for you….’ He trailed off and averted his eyes to me. I took a step back. ‘This is none of your business his wife, don’t interfere.’

‘What if I do?’ She asked challengingly. He smirked.

‘I don’t have time for you….’ He smiled deviously and his claws sprang out. ‘Make a move on me and I claw your mate’s heart out.’ Krystal froze. ‘Still want to fight?’ He taunted.

‘You need his body, you wouldn’t dare kill him because you know the moment you leave the shelter of his body, you’ll be locked in my ring. Don’t pay attention to his dare and don’t let him deceive you.’ I managed to say under my breath. My back was still burning furiously from the mark. The pain was becoming unbearable. He tilted his head and laughed humorlessly.

‘Smart,’ he averted his eyes to Krystal who was torn between fighting him or leaving it. Her confusion was strong and her mind far away, he was going to use her confuse state against her. He ran to her but I was positive he wouldn’t kill her. Killing her would weaken him.

Like she was expecting it, she spun out of the way and quickly kicked him, he gro-ned but didn’t attack her again. He stepped back continuously, like she was his biggest challenge. Krystal smiled, I’m sure she was thinking the exact thing I was.

Krystal

He stepped back continuously, eyeing me like I was the biggest obstacle in his entire life. Was he scared?

‘No, he’s aware that if you get hurt, it will awaken mate! Mate love us so much!’ Wynter squealed. I smirked, so that was how easy it was. I spun my hand in the aid until the dragon sword appeared, I turned the sword and placed it on my neck, the extreme sharpness cutting me a little. He winced

‘Flynn, if you can hear me, answer. If you don’t, I’ll kill myself.’ I tried to mind link to him. It wasn’t working. ‘Wynter, your connection with his wolf is stronger, try.’ I could her trying to reach him, it wasn’t working that well. I bit my lip and moved the sword to my left hand, I slashed my wrist. It caused him to whimper and grunt. I slashed my other wrist, he howled and shook his head.

‘Answer me Merlyn!!!!’ I yelled in my head. He held his head, whimpering and shaking. ‘I’m going to kill both me and our unborn child, don’t dare me!’ Please don’t dare me, I’m not ready to die yet. I have a kids to take care of. I mo-ned painfully as I felt a strong tug at my mental barrier, a strain in our mental link. I closed my eyes and tried to reach out, to pull down the wall blocking us. ‘Flynn listen, please!’

My stomach ached, I was using too much of my mental energy, Lyn’s mental force was way stronger than mine and it was slowing clashing my mind together. I wheezed for breath, the pain in my lower abdomen increasing. I fell down and clutched my stomach, it wasn’t ordinary. The demon was using our mental connection to kill me. It couldn’t possess so it was psychologically hurting me. My stomach clenched and throat close up, I could feel my blood running out of my nose and eyes. The link from my mind ran down to mg heart, it light wanting to protect me but if I let it, that was Lyn’s death certificate.

I had to fight it back, I scre-med in pain, my heart and mind crashing on me.

‘Do something Krystal!!!’ Wynter yelled, she was in as much pain as I was. I was p-nting and fighting against unconsciousness.

‘Daddy?’ I heard Luna’s shocked voice, she followed us! ‘Daddy what are you….mommy!’ She cried, I felt Lyn’s present in my mind, his concern and panic waving off to me.

‘Anjiála, now!’

Anjiála

I watched the wh0le scene in horror, I couldn’t interfere. He was killing her slowly… I thought he couldn’t. I closed my eyes and k-ssed Zander’s head, I could feel a strong instinct urging me to connect myself with him so I focused on it, connecting myself to him.

‘Zanny, you can hear me right?’

‘I’m scared, I want mommy.’ He sobbed in my head. He was too young to see all these.

‘If you want to go, then you have to do this. Once I say go, yell. “Regret and hurt, bitterness and anger, thirst for blood all put aside. A single flake of power in me you were, a bright light in me you remain. Return to thee who made you, and be nothing but light” can you say that?’

‘Yes,’ he murmured. ‘You have to feel no fear, feel no intimidation. You’re the lion and him the prey so command him, control him. Let your power and authority into your voice and command him.’ Our energy connected, his hair and eyes turned gold. Just then, I heard Krystal give the order

‘Polly, do what you must.’ I called out to her. The pain in my back had stopped, like his presence in me stopped it.

‘Anji, release it.’

‘Zander, say it with authority and remember that I’m here for you.’ He hummed and sighed.

‘Regret and hurt, bitterness and anger, thirst for blood all put aside. A single flake of power in me you were, a bright light in me you remain. Return to thee who made you, and be nothing but light.’ His light was increasing dangerously, I suppressed every force that was too much for him. ‘Return to me!!!!!’ In a second, something entered him and I could feel it. I redirected the pain and all the clashes to me, I took it all so he won’t get hurt. I dropped to my knees but careful not to hurt him. My in,side was ripping apart, was this the pain he would have felt?

He would have died for sure.

I let him go, my dark vision forming Into an image. I found myself in a ground of dead bodies, the sky was haunted red and the place smelled. I looked at myself, I wasn’t me, I was dark, my system evil to the core. What was happening? I looked ahead and saw a white hair, I ran to the body and knelt down. I turned the body and gasped

‘Aramis!’ Like my brain was sparked, a severe jolt of pain surge through me one more time before everything stopped. I was p-nting heavily, I understood the dream perfectly, I knew what it meant. I opened my eyes and looked at Krystal who was crying and holding her husband. He wasn’t waking up and Arie looked helpless.

She would heal fast but won’t survive if he died.

‘Return to me, light of Lakeem.’ I whispered weakly, Arie, Abbie who had passed out and the others scre-med. The powers left them, I controlled their force and sent it into Lyn. The light ran through his system, swam through his blood before returning to Zander. I slumped on the ground, letting darkness take me as a single tear rolled down my cheek.

How to grow your business while you stay at home
I rather die than kill Aramis. No matter what will happen, I will never be that dark witch.
