I was in the training arena, dad sat with legs crossed reading from a magazine as everyone else watched their future Alpha take on an eighteen years old well-trained werewolf even though he was just fourteen. Mom and dad did a great job in training him. Lumi was there acting as his cheerleader and Mom stood watching them carefully so her son won’t get hurt.
Her wolf hates it when we get hurt, it makes her lose her mind so she had to be careful.
What was I doing?

‘Daddy please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEE PLEASE PLEASE please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please….’ He wasn’t even paying attention or maybe he just didn’t care. ‘I’ve been kneeling here for five hours now, the sun is too hot for a queen like me. Do you want my beautiful body to get singe from this terrible sun? I’m too young to turn black, how would Zander love me if I get ugly….worst! What would people say! Your most beautiful daughter becoming ugly….’
‘Lumi is more beautiful than you….’
‘Ohhhhh, so you can understand English after all….’ He glanced at me and shook his head. ‘What I’m trying to say is that no one is more prettier than I am, even if they are, I will never agree. So concluded, I’m the most beautiful and s€×iest girl on earth, full stop, don’t argue.’ He sighed. ‘Dad, please, I didn’t break your special old and ancient glass that is as ugly as the……hey! Wow! Dad! You’re looking more fabulous today!’ Why was I being punished? It’s so sad.
I was dancing and celebrating because uncle Frost promised to come to take me to go see Zander since he’s heading to town with my cousin to see his grandma’s sisters and children. I was super excited, I danced and knocked down the family long-treasured vase, from generations ago and dad want to kill me. It’s just a stupid old vase, not worth more than I and I didn’t mean it.
It’s sad knowing no one appreciates such rare beauty given to them.
‘Dad, okay, I have a confession.’ He looked at me. ‘Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please…..’
‘Krystal!!!!!!!!’ He thundered causing everyone to pause. ‘She’s driving me crazy again!!!!!’ I rolled my eyes and folded my arms, mom is super scary and avoiding her is my number one rule. She’ll forbid me from seeing Zander. Mom walked over to us with a frown, I grinned.
‘Mother! Have anyone ever told you that you glow under the sun? You’re so hot and that’s why dad will forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and five hundred more ever love you.’ I said staring at her twinklingly. She sighed and grabbed my hair, pulling me out of the ground. ‘Ow! Ow! Ow! Mom you’re going to remove my scalp and when that happens, my beautiful large brain will be out for birds to eat. They’ll eat my brain and I’ll become a vegetable, you wouldn’t want….ow! Ow! Mommy I love you.’ She was lifting me higher and the pain increasing. ‘Dad tell your wife to pause first let me take a break…..somebody help!’
‘Lunaaaaaaaa,’ she drawled warningly. ‘What did I tell you about talking?’
‘Talk all you want for it’s a free world and I love you more than I love my mate and because I love you, I won’t rip your lovely hair off your scalp.’ I said smilingly then grin again. She sighed and stared at dad accusingly.
‘What?’
‘It’s your fault she’s like this.’
‘How?!’
‘You’re the one who forced me to let her spend five years at Aunt Jena’s, now look what she turned my daughter into.’
‘I was only trying to help send her to someone that can handle her…..can you please put her down? You’ll hurt my baby.’ I grinned more widely. Dad will always love me more, everybody loves me! ‘Don’t be too sure about that,’ he said with a roll of his eyes and carried me away from mom. I wrapped my legs around his stomach even though he was sitting. ‘You’re annoying.’
‘Have anyone ever told you that you smell like the sun?’
‘Dear God!’ Mom exclaimed throwing her hands up. She turned back and signaled then to continue. I’m not half as stubborn as Kress.
Who’s Kress?
My younger brother. The only one whose head I could freely knock and get away with it. He lived in where mom grew up because he was a pure vampire…..well, hybrid actually. Vampire and wizard but more of a vampire. No one knew about dad being a half-vampire except us so mom was scared they would know because of his everything. She sent him away to live there, he really gave mom trouble when he was in her womb, almost s-cked her dry but she survived. He’s as strong as hell! Whoever trained mom was training him, which made him really strong.
Kris could take on an eighteen years old wolf at his age and even more but Kress can stand in a tie with him. Kress is just eight and I love him because he’s extremely obedient, too obedient. I get to knock his head whenever I want. But as obedient as he is, he’s freaking stubborn. Don’t know how he manages to blend those characters together.
Back to fabulous me.
‘Okay, you’ve fixed the vase already, why do I still get to be punished? Don’t you know I’m too young? What if I die?’
‘One more word from you and you’re grounded.’
Here are the keys to my mouth,’ I gave him an imaginary key. He sighed and pushed me off. ‘Well, that was rude.’ I scoffed dusting my skirt. ‘Dad, dad, dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad…..’
‘Lunaria please!’
‘You say that like I’m some annoying kid giving you headache….’ He glared at me. I shrugged. ‘I can’t help it, this is me.’ Kris knocked out the wolf. I squealed and clapped. ‘Go Kris! Beat up and feel proud even though Kress can kick your ass!!!!’
‘Luna!!!!’ Mom and Lumi shouted. I didn’t do anything. Kris took off his gloves and walked to me.
‘What? Are you going to beat me up too?’ I asked boldly. He bent a little and smirked.
‘Zander will never love you,’ he mocked. That broke my heart, I lost my cool and burst into tears. ‘Awwwwn, did I make you cry?’ He taunted, laughed and walked away. Mom face-palmed herself and walked to us.
‘I blame you for their stubbornness.’ She accused dad and carried me. That would have hurt my image because I’m eleven, not five but I didn’t care. I was crying because I was heartbroken. Dad scoffed and went back to his stupid magazine. ‘You know when I agreed to bare your father’s children, I didn’t plan four children. Lumi is the only one who acts maturely.’ She sighed walking towards the exist with me still crying in her arms.
‘She’s cold-hearted like you are but I’m soft and fragile, an innocent Angel.’ I sobbed.
‘You don’t say,’ she scoffed. ‘Either way, she doesn’t cry and that’s what makes her better for Zander.’ I gasped and cupped my mouth. ‘I’m sure Zander won’t like a cry baby.’
‘But I’m not a cry baby,’ I cried more. ‘I’m strong…..he has to love me!’
‘Who has to love you?’ That was uncle Frost’s voice. I pouted, he pampers me more because I’m his daughter. He only have two sons who also love me by the way. ‘Why are you….Zander?’
‘Kris said he will never love me and mom said he loves Lumi. I’m more prettier!’
‘Of course, you are!’ He carried me out of mom’s arm and stroke my hair. ‘You’re a big girl, big girls don’t cry.’ He wiped my tears. ‘Don’t worry, he’ll love you by will or by…..?’
‘Ice!’ I completed. We high fived and laughed. I waved at his second son, River.
