I watched in dismay as Beck sat down again
Jade: why are you staring into space like a freaky alien 👽?
I snapped back
Me: huh? Nothing
I dropped my phone 📱 on the table
Cat: so we’re ordering ch¡ps and cheese
Jade: thank God you decided to order something reasonable this time.
Me: waiter!
He looked at our table then began to move towards us.
Jade: he’s hot 🔥 but a waiter
Cat: what’s bad with being a waiter
Me: it’s not bad. It’s a decent way of living
Jade: I hate decent people, I hate rough people, I hate ignorant people, I hate clumsy people, I hate poor people because they are so pathetic. But I like gangsters because they are living the life
She smirked evilly
Me: then why don’t you just become a gangster?
Jade: because they always end up in jail
Cat: and you don’t wanna go to jail?
Jade: never been there before. I mind my business. But there’s a place I always send people to
Me&Cat: the hospital
She nodded
Jade: good
The waiter finally got to our table
Waiter: your welcome here. May I take your orders?
Cat: no you can’t take our orders. If you take them, what would we eat?
I shook my head at Cat, Jade glared at her and the waiter stood amused. Probably by her childish behavior.
Waiter: my bad. Pardon me please, I met what would you like to eat?
Cat: oh, ch¡ps and cheese. Three plates and three glasses of tropical smoothie
He nodded and took down the orders then left
Jade: I shouldn’t be surprised that you behave like an animal. And above all animals, you didn’t choose to be a smart one or a dangerous one, you had to choose to be a Cat
Cat: what’s that supposed to mean?
Me: don’t let it get to you Cat, Jade is just messing around
Jade: I hate this place
Me: it’s manageable
Cat: I like it
Jade: Cats like to eat from trashcans
Cat : what’s that supposed to mean?
I sighed and wore my earplugs then turned on my music.
Whenever Cat asks ”what’s that supposed to mean?” it means she’s pissed off
And if care is not taken, she might get into an argument
And she always ends up crying
Cat never wins an argument
Except if it’s about cute animals
I looked up and the waiter was back with the food
He dropped them and left
Jade began to eat
And Cat was saying Her prayers
I smiled and removed my earplugs then took my fork and began to eat
Me: wow, this is actually good
Cat: it’s so tasty 😋
Jade: not bad
I looked up and saw Beck leaving the counter and the waiter who attended to us was going to the counter
I’m going to meet him
I stood up
Me: be right back
I walked towards the counter and he paused when he saw me

Did I just see Tori of Victorious right now?
No, it’s just my imagination playing with me over what Andre said
I shook my head and tried to walk away but she called my name
I turned and she was already standing before me
Tori: hi
I began to stammer
Me: uh… H..hi
Tori : how are you?
She crossed her arms and stared at me as if she caught me stealing red-handed
I decided to brace up and stop acting like I’m guilty of a crime
Me: I’m fine. Why are you here?
Tori : I’m here with my friends. I told you we’re having a girls night remember?
Me: oh, I never knew you girls come to this type of restaurant
Tori: actually, we don’t but Cat insisted we come here today
I nodded and looked through the customers then saw Jade and Cat at a corner eating
Tori : sooo…. You work here?
Me: yes
I was secretly praying that a customer walks in so I can just get to work and avoid further interrogations
Tori: give me your number
She brought out her phone
Tori : so that we can text later. When do you close from here?
Me: by 9pm and my number is 676-99
Tori : okay thanks, I’ll leave you to your work now
She winked at me and walked away
I found myself smiling with my hands crossed
Andre: busted!
I looked back to see Andre looking me
Me: I hope she doesn’t blow my cover
Andre: she might not blow your cover but if Jade hears about this, you’re dead man
I scratched my head. I don’t really want to have anything to do with that Jade
Andre : let’s talk over the counter since no one’s coming in or leaving
I nodded and we walked to Robbie place

💁Tori Vega’s POV💁
I sat down and began to eat
Cat : where did you go?
Me: somewhere
She began to giggle
Cat: somewhere… Hahaha, haha somewhere.. Haha
Jade stopped eating and looked at her
I was also staring at her
Me: what the heck is making you laugh?
Cat: one time, my brother left home and when we asked him where he went to he said somewhere
Jade: is that the reason you have to laugh like a moron?
Cat : someone once said my brother is a moron
I shook my head
Me: I hope you don’t take after him
Jade: she already has
Cat: hahahahaha, wait….. What do you mean by I already have?
Me: hey girls, check this guy out
I showed them a picture of a handsome boy in my phone just to change the topic
Cat: he’s so cute
Jade: he’s hot like Beck
Cat: I saw Beck after school today. He ordered pizza and we ate together
Jade: nice joke
Cat : I’m not joking
Jade: why would Beck want to eat with you?
Cat: is there something wrong with me?
Me: where did you see Beck?
Cat: at a Pizza Place. Tori, do you know Jade has a crush on Beck
I was gulping down my drink but somehow, it hooked up in my throat and didn’t go down
I poured it back into the glass
Cat: ewww
Me: what did you say again?
Cat: ewww?
Me: no, about Jade
Cat: oh, she has a crush on Beck
Jade: I don’t have a crush on him, crushing on a guy is for little wretched girls.
Me: wait, don’t tell me Beck is the guy you were talking about earlier about dating him
Cat: he’s the one
Me: but, Beck can’t cope with you
Jade : why do you care?
I sat back
Me: no… I.. I don’t care. Just saying
Jade : how did you know him in the first place. I thought you didn’t know much people in school
Me: I don’t talk to them doesn’t mean I don’t know them
Cat: my Nona is going to babysit two children tomorrow. So immediately after school, I’m going straight home
Jade : why is she babysitting? Is she out of money?
Cat: she feels like spending time with children. Awesome right?
I was grateful to Cat for changing the topic. So Jade wants to date Beck? Whoa, I don’t think that’s possible. I mean Beck is like a low class guy, Jade is really high class. She won’t have anything to do with him
And she might even kill him if she finds out that he’s like a nobody
I looked up and saw Beck coming to a table
Jade shouldn’t see him here and now
I took my phone
Me: OMG, Jade I just received pictures of an old lady beating up a teenager because he tried to steal her purse
Jade : man, I love that old lady. Might be like her when I get old.
Me: come on let’s go out and watch the boxing match
Cat: I hate boxing, they bring out blood
Jade: that’s why I love it. They bring out blood
Cat gasped and covered her mouth
I looked at Beck, he looked uneasy
I smiled at him and took Jade’s hand
Me: come on let’s go
I pulled her up
Cat: what about me?
Jade: lick the plates and pay the bill
Cat: okay
She took Jade’s plate and tried to lick it
Me: no no no no
She stopped and looked at us
Jade: this girl is sincerely a cat
She walked out
I sighed
Me: Cat, why don’t you just go and wait for me in the car. I’ll pay the bill
Cat: can we grab some ice-cream before we go home?
Me: yes we can. Now run along
Cat: ha-ha, she said I should run along
She stood up and ran outside
I turned to see Beck. He was already through with that table. And I signalled to him to come. He came over and I brought out my credit card
Me: do you guys take payments by credit cards?
Beck: no, just cash
I returned my credit card and brought out thirty dollars
Me: how much for a plate?
Beck: seven dollars 💵
I gave him the $30
Me: you can keep the rest. Good night Beck, we’ll text later
I smiled brightly and walked outside. Jade was in,side but Cat was standing outside looking sad
Me: why are you standing outside in the cold?
Cat: Jade locked me out.
I knocked on the window and she opened the door. We got in and I started the car.
I began to drive and Cat began to play with Jade’s hair
Wrong move
Jade: CAAAT!
Cat and I were thrown off balance
I stopped drinking immediately and Cat fell on the seat flatl. I looked at her and she just curled up in a cuddle. I hope she’s not crying
I started the car again and drove straight to Cat’s house. She lives with her grandmother that she calls Nona. Both of them dyed their hair red and are very weird.
Luckily she’s really rich and Cat has a comfortable life
Me: good night Cat. See you tomorrow at school
Cat: bye Tori bye Jade
Me: bye
Jade didn’t reply. She never does

💚Beck Oliver’s POV💚
I sat down on my bed and placed a pillow on my leg. I was really tired. Work was stressful today.
I stood up and walked to the bathroom to shower.
I came back with a towel round my wa-ist and neck.
My hair was w-t and I used the towel round my neck to dry it.
My phone buzzed and I took it up. It was a message
📩 hey Beck. It’s me Tori. Are you home already?
I smiled and sat on the bed
📩 yes. WBU?
📩 I am too. But I’m a little tired from the girls night
📩I hope you’re already resting. I don’t want you to get stressed out
📩☺, I’m already in my pyjamas
📩good girl
She didn’t reply on time so I just stood up and changed into shorts and a yellow vest.
I took my phone and strolled to the living room to get something to drink

💁Tori Vega’s POV💁
I hurried up the stairs to my room. My dad was still not back and Trina should be in her room
I’m tired and need rest for tomorrow
I walked into my room and dropped my bag on the bed
I heard movements in my closet and moved to open it
It opened before I got to it and I almost fell down
Trina: oh hey little sis
Me: Trina? What are you doing here and why are you holding my things?
I tried to snatch them from her but she moved them away
Trina: I need these for tomorrow. There’s this concert and I wanna wear this dress or maybe this one
She examined my clothes and shrugged
Me: why are you wearing my clothes? Don’t you have clothes of your own?
Trina: I feel like wearing your clothes. Anyway you’re slimmer than I but who cares?
She giggled and walked away
I frowned and closed my closet. She’s just taking advantage of me because dad is not home
I locked my door and went into the bathroom to refresh myself. I came back and wore my pyjamas then took my phone to text Beck.
We were texting for a few minutes and then Trina knocked again. She kept banging on my door
I gro-ned and opened the door
Trina : can I have your phone?
Me: what? Why?
Trina: because I wanna use it
Me: you have your phone and I have mine. So use yours and leave mine
I closed the door in her face and sat on the bed again. I was not very happy because Trina was like a thorn my butt. She chokes my entire life and I prefer staying at school than at home when dad is around

I sipped my drink as I sat over the computer trying to hack into my sister’s cellphone. I need to know what she’s up to now.
I successfully hacked in and proceeded to check her texts
I saw that she was presently texting with someone and I checked the name. It was Beck. I checked the messages and noticed that this is actually the first time my sister is texting a boy
I wonder who he is to her?
I must find out
I’ll check Hollywood Arts tomorrow and know who this Beck is?
I sure hope he’s a little older and super handsome. I’m in need of a new boyfriend

👟Beck Oliver’s POV👟
I walked to my dance class. We’re having a special tutorial today.
I stopped in the hallway and adjusted my sneakers 👟. Then I walked into the dance class. Everyone stopped talking and turned to me. It felt really awkward
I cleared my throat and moved in. I leaned on the wall with my hands in my pocket. Everyone began to talk within themselves and I caught some girls stealing glances at me
The teacher walked in
Teacher: hello, are we all ready??
Students : yes ma’am….
They disassociated and some girls stood close to me.
Teacher: okay now everyone, take your places in three rows and four columns
I stood in the front row and the first column from the right
The girls began to fight for a particular space which was beside me.
Teacher: girls! Why are you fighting?
Girl1: they want to take my position
Girl2: no, I came here first
Girl1: that’s a lie
Girl3: Miss Leonel, this is my place. I stood beside you first, right Beck?
Me: what? I don’t know who stood here first.
Then the boys began to laugh. The girls turned to them
Boy1: I knew this was about Beck. You just want to stand beside him
Boy2: you just wanna flirt with him
They began to laugh again
Girl2: that’s not true. You all know that I like being in the front row
Girl1: I too wanted to stay in the front because of…..
Teacher: Britney (girl1) we all know that you hate standing in front. So why are you suddenly interested today
The girl didn’t answer
I guess she’s been busted
I chuckled when she didn’t reply
Me: well since you all want to stay in the front row, then have your way. The three of you should stay then one boy would join you. That’s four rows
Teacher: yes, that’s exactly how it should be.
The girls frowned
Teacher: but Beck, you’re still staying in the front. And girls don’t have any other ideas, I want him in the front because I need to check his steps out
The girls smiled sheepishly
The boys laughed and punched me playfully
The teacher took her pearpad and turned on the music. We took our places and she stood in front
Teacher: now watch my first five steps then copy
She performed them and we watched.
She turned to us and we danced the steps
She nodded and asked us to repeat it. We did and she showed us another one
We kept dancing and it was time to dance individually.
I noticed that most eyes were on me while we were dancing together. I guess they all wanted to see if I could dance
And it was time to solo dance.
The first girl danced first and we curved behind her and cheered while she danced 💃
The two girls before me danced and it was my turn
They all became quiet as I stepped up. I smirked
💭time to show who the dance king is
I began to dance with easy steps at first then I imputed some acrobatics. I began to dance like a pro that I am. As if I was a black talented dancer. Everybody began to cheer loudly. Including the teacher.
I showed them the steps I got from renowned dancers and from a particular movie ‘Step Up’.
The music stopped and the wh0le students scre-med
The boys took me up and threw me here and there.
We laughed and sat down
Teacher: who knew Beck is so perfect at dancing. That was so tantalizing Beck
I smiled and the third girl stepped up. She winked at me and started to dance. A guy squatted beside me and whispered
Guy: she’s trying to impress you
Me: by dancing?
Guy: yeah, she wants you to like her steps
Me: how do you know?
Guy: haha, this is Hollywood Arts bruh. The girls here are bitches
I laughed and he patted my shoulder and stood up
I stood up too and joined in the cheering up.
About half an hour later, class was already over.
I was already out of breath so I headed outside. I was really soaked up and I needed to wash up.
Someone called me and I looked back.
It was the girl that winked at me
Girl: hi Beck
Me : hey
Girl: you must be tired after that hectic dance practice
She handed me a bottle of soda
Me: thanks
I smiled and opened the cover. I gulped down half the content because it was so refreshing
Before I lowered it from my mouth, it poured slightly down my l-ips and to my chin.
She quickly moved closer and used her thumb to slowly wipe it off then she stared into my eyes as if she was gonna k-ss me
I quickly withdrew and covered the bottle
💭that charm won’t work on me
Me : thanks dear.
Girl: we’re having dance practice tomorrow again, you’ll be there right?
Me: sure
Girl: I’ll see you tomorrow then. Bye
She waved at me and turned to go. I smiled and walked towards the boys locker room.
I dropped my bag and went to shower
My dance mates were the only one in the locker room. I quickly changed into my extra clothes then hung my bag and walked out
I walked to the lobby and opened my locker, I took my history text book and headed towards history class
I noticed the students waiting with their phones in their hands.
I knew it was victorious.
I stood still and watched them enter.
Tori looked towards my direction and our eyes met, we smiled and she looked away.
Jade as usual, wasn’t smiling
Cat, as usual was smiling.
I laughed as I headed to history class
Robbie : Cat is so beautiful
Me: oh hey Rob, what’s up
Robbie : I’m fine
Rex: I’m not
Me: why?
Rex: Robbie didn’t take his bath today
The people we were walking past heard and laughed
Robbie : why did you say that?
Rex: because you left me at home yesterday
Robbie : I went to work
Rex: what work? How can a puppet like you get employed. You’ll mess everything up
Robbie : shut up!
I laughed and arranged my hair with my left hand
Me: why didn’t you take your bath?
Robbie : because I took a shower instead
Rex: that’s a lie
Robbie : Rex, you’re getting on my nerves
Rex: you mean I’ve not even gotten in your nerves since? Should I tell everyone that you have a crush on Cat?
Me&Robbie: nooo
Rex: I wont tell anyone because of Beck. He’s so handsome
I smiled and entered into the classroom.

👗Tori Vega’s POV👗
I shoved my front hair behind my ear and straightened my blue dress 👗. Cat and Jade were both sitting beside me. We were waiting for the history teacher.
He always comes to class late
I looked back and saw Beck sitting down. I gasped and quickly looked away
Jade looked back and saw him
Jade: Mr handsome is here
Cat: oh my gosh he’s so sweet
I didn’t talk, I didn’t even act as if I cared
The teacher entered and began to teach about ancient history of the Egyptian people and they mode of entertainment
For the first time in my own history, I’m not concentrated in class.
Even when Trina frustrates my life before I come to school, I still get focused when receiving lessons but now I’m not even hearing the teacher’s words now
I just hope he doesn’t ask me any question
I looked back and saw Beck’s face again.
He didn’t still see me
I looked at the teacher and forced myself to concentrate

I bent down to take my bag 🎒that fell down. My eyes sighted three girls in front
Wow, I didn’t know they were here
I smiled and faced the teacher.
I looked at Tori, though I couldn’t see her face
Robbie passed a note to me
It read
📝do you have a crush on Tori? You’ve been staring at her
I chuckled and folded the note without replying him. I looked at Tori again and smiled then faced the teacher

I’m happy
So happy
My Nona has promised to buy me a huge unicorn because I’m going to help her babysit today
And I can’t wait to start my singing rehearsals today too
And I love this history class
It’s funny

Everybody including the teacher turned to me
Me: what
Tori: why did you laugh?
Me: cause what the teacher said was funny
Teacher: I didn’t say anything funny
Jade : he only said we can jot down whatever he’s saying
Me: oh, I thought he said we can do whatever he’s saying. By being Egyptians
The class laughed, except Jade
Teacher: Cat Valentine to the back seat 💺 and Beck Oliver to the front
Me: yay! I get relocated
I stood up and ran to the back, Beck stood up and I sat down. He winked and went to the front
I looked beside me and saw a boy with curly hair and glasses.
Oh he’s the puppet boy
Me: hi I’m Cat what’s your name?
He turned and looked at me in surprise
Boy: are you talking to me?
Puppet: Cat run for your life. Robbie is disaster
I scre-med and began to hit the puppet with my school bag until it fell to the ground
Robbie : oh no! Rex are you okay?
He took it from the floor
Rex: she hit me with her bag!
Robbie : I know
Me: aaaaah.. It talks
Robbie : of course it does. It’s a talking puppet
Rex: I’m a he not it
Robbie : sorry, he’s a talking puppet
Teacher: it seems class today is already disorg-nized. We call it a day
He took his books and left.
Robbie too angrily left the class with his talking puppet
The students began to leave
Beck also made to leave but Jade stopped him and walked towards him
Tori’s face changed and I walked towards her and whispered
Me: Jade wants to ask Beck out
Tori : I know but I have to stop it
Me: why?
Tori : because he won’t be able to say no. He’ll be dead meat if he says no
Me: and what if he says yes
Tori : she’ll kill him when she finds out he’s not rich…… Oops…
She covered her mouth and I gasped
Me: he’s not rich. But why does he look like he’s rich?
She shrugged and looked at the both of them who were at the other side of the class
Me: I better tell Jade

Me: no no no no
I pulled her back.
Me: if anyone should tell Jade, it’s me
Cat: okay
I watched as Jade moved closer to Beck and Beck began to move backwards
Oh no!
She’s going to k-ss him. That’s what she always does. If she asks you out, she’ll k-ss you right then.
I rushed towards them and stood between them
Me : hey! Jade I have something to tell you
Jade : Tori, out!
Me: come on Jade, you need to know this
She rolled her eyes angrily
I sighed and looked at Beck. As if he knew what I was going to say. His eyes were pleading to hide it
I looked at Jade
Me: Beck….. Is not rich
Her eyes dropped
Jade: what!
Me: he’s just an average boy with good looks. And you never date poor guys right?
I turned to Beck
Me: I’m sorry for saying you’re poor but that’s the most suitable word now. Forgive me
I turned to Jade again
Me: do you know he’s actually a waiter? The restaurant we went to yesterday, he works there. I saw him in uniform behind the counter
She frowned deeply and glared at Beck who began to move backwards
Jade: Beck! I’m going to rip your soul out
She stormed towards him and pushed me away
He wanted to run but she caught him and pinned him to the wall
Cat scre-med and took her phone. Probably calling the ambulance. Beck will surely sleep on a hospital bed tonight
Jade held his throat with one hand and the other was pinning him down
He closed his eyes
I heard Jade chuckling. He opened his eyes slowly
Jade : you look cute when you’re scared.
She released him and arranged her top
Jade : I wont hurt you because I cherish your face. I don’t want injuries on it. But my policy still stands.
I sighed and held my chest. Cat was smiling
Jade : and if any girl tries to frustrate your life just call me, I’ll frustrate her soul and body
Beck cracked and I chuckled
She smirked and left the class
Beck : I’m alive
Me: hahahaha, yeah
Cat: yay! You’re alive
I moved to him and took his wristband from the floor. I gave it to him
Beck: thanks
I smiled.
Finally, Jade’s not gonna kill him

The last few minutes were the scariest of my life. Jade terrifies me so much
But I’m glad she knows who I am now. And she’s not going to force me to date her. And she was even going to k-ss me before Tori intervened
Me: thanks Tori, I owe you one
Cat: can I use the restroom?
We looked at her
Tori: uhh, sure
Cat: Kay Kay
She left and I chuckled
Tori and I began to walk towards the door.
We were walking really close to each other and we weren’t talking
Me: uhm, we’ll see on Monday then.
Tori : maybe
I turned to her. There was a stain on her cheek. As if it was a marker or pen stain
Me: there’s something on your cheek.. I’ll get it
I used my thumb and wiped it up
Our faces were really close
For a second there I thought of k-ssing her
The urge came so strong and I found myself leaning down to her l-ips
Then we heard a bang from the front. We looked and it was a lady
Tori : Trina?
Tori walked to her and she folded her arms.
Tori: Trina why are you here?
Trina : excuse me Tori, this is my former school and I have the right to come her without questioning from my little sister
💭little sister?
Tori : I know but… Just forget it.
She turned to me
Tori : Beck let’s….
The lady gasped loudly with her eyes w¡dened
Trina: oh my gosh! 😮
She hurried towards me and stood right in front of me
Trina : oh my gosh!
I puzzled up my face. Tori’s was also confused
Trina : gosh, you’re so handsome. Are you a demigod???
She touched my face with her two hands. Each of the hands had two rings
I shifted back
Tori: Trina, behave yourself?
She turned to Tori
Trina : shut up and get out!
Tori: what?
Trina : you heard me right. Get out
Tori: no I won’t
Trina : oh, she has guts now. Wow
Me: this is awkward
Trina : I’m sorry dear. Tori is trying to disrespect me.
Tori : no I’m not
She glared at Tori
Me: are you two sisters?
Tori : yes
I looked at the both of them. They had the same hair and looked alike a little
Me: I’ll excuse you both
Trina : no… Let’s just leave together
Me: excuse me, I have one more class to attend. Bye Tori. Bye Trina
I left the class and heaved a sigh
Me: I don’t like this Trina.
I met Andre in the hallway
Andre: here you are
Me : hey bro. Haven’t seen you today
Andre: yeah, I’ve been in the music class since. I was mixing some beats and all that for the upcoming play. That’s next week Friday
Me: oh, Cat told me about it
Andre: have you gotten a part in it?
Me: no
Andre: you should meet Sichowitz. My favorite teacher
Me: you mean the baldheaded, crazy man
Andre: yeah that’s him
Me: okay, I will
Andre: I’m actually going to his class now. That’s acting class
Me: that’s where I’m also headed
Andre: then let’s head on together
I laughed and we walked together into his class

👯Tori Vega’s POV👯
I angrily walked into the house.
Trina really pissed me off.
I walked into the living room and saw my dad drinking
Me: dad?
He looked up and saw me
Dad: Tori, my baby
He stood up and I ran and hugged him
Me: welcome back dad
Dad: thanks, how have you been?
I frowned and he frowned too
Dad: Trina right?
I didn’t reply
Dad: don’t worry, I’m here now okay. So how’s school?
I sat down and gulped down his glass of wine 🍷
Me: fine.
Dad: I hope it’s not too hectic for you?
Me: not really. I’m just glad you’re back home. So did you bring it?
He ignored me and poured himself another glass
Me: daddy…
He still ignored me

I drove the car to school and parked in the parking lot.
I already resumed my duties as a driver and I dropped my boss at his beach house before coming here

I went straight to the theatre and the students were already gathered
