🍷Chapter Six 🍷

Corey’s pov contd 🍇
After the ceremony, the guest came to the bar for refreshments and drinks before the party games will begin.

I was sitting at the bar, then Amber and the black guy came.

“We’ll have a drink please ” she said while I just glared at her

“Oh, hi boss meet Michael, my partners for the game ” she told me and I just scoffed.

“Jealous ” she muttered slowly.

The bartender, gave them their drinks in coconuts, with straw.

“No, we’ll have one with two straws ” Amber said and I looked at her furiously she stuck her tongue out 😝

Before they could collect the drink, I kicked it away from the bartender’s hand.

“What the hell dude” Michael said and I just left

Finally the game began, four teams participated and each team had 5 teammates.
I was team C while Amber and Michael were team D.

The first game was hopping relay, instead of exchanging baton, we exchange Coconut, instead of running, we hop .

So the game began, Michael and I were starting before we’ll exchange coconuts.

We started hopping, Charlotte and velvet were cheering for me, while Amber was cheering for Michael.

I’m so angry, I must win.

I was ahead of Mr Black and also very close to my partner when suddenly I heard

“Go Corey ” from Amber, I turned to look at her.

Did she really cheer for me, when I looked at her she gave me thumbs down 👎

I knew it she was kidding, before I could turn and concentrate, I collided with my partner.

Amber’s team won the game.

Next up was pineapple bowling
Ten pineapple pins were set up 17 feet away from each team.

We were directed to knockdown the pins with coconut. I’m great at bowling so I decided to represent my team.

Team A rolled and knockdown 5, Team B knockdown 3.
Team C which is mine was next, so I looked at Amber and Michael, smirked

I carried the coconut rolled and knockdown 9.

Everyone cheered, I bet that’s the highest, Finally Team D, Michael looked at me and smirk.

Then rolled the coconut and OMG, he knockdown All of them.

Amber’s team won.

I actually thought I could rest and enjoy the luau, but Amber is ruining it.
I’d rather go home.

I was about leaving, then I heard Amber scre-ming.
“It’s Amber” I rushed to her.

Everyone was gathered.
“Oww, I broke my Ankle, it hurts ” she grimaced in pain.

I hurriedly carried her in a bridal style to the bar, collected an ointment and rubbed on her ankle.

Amber’s pov 🍊
I broke my ankle, when I was trying to run, but now it’s better because of The ointment Corey rubbed on it.

“Thank you ” I greeted him and he smiled then went away.

I wouldn’t have show off with Michael, when I injured my leg, he just left.

What an assh-le!!

Corey finally came back with Lei Flower in his hands.

I looked at him confused.

He held my hand with one hand and the other hand he held the lei flower and put it behind my left ear.

“No, no put it behind my right ear” I told him because single ladies put it behind their right ears.

“There’s no need for that, I’m putting it in your left ear because you are taken, Amber I think, I’m…..”

Unknown pov 👁️‍🗨️
“Dad, we’ve found her in New Jersey ”

“Very well then, set our flight, we are leaving right now ” he directed.

Amber’s pov 🍊
“Amber, I think I’m in….” he said and paused

“It’s Nothing ” he said

“It’s something, tell me. You need to explain why you put the flowers behind my left ear” I told him.

“I’m in love with you ” he said and I w¡dened my eyes.

“You are kidding, you’re a play boy, Mister you don’t expect me to believe you ” I told him.

“I’m not kidding, it’s true I’ve never felt this way before, but I really do love you, that’s why when you were with Michael, I… I was jealous ” he blurted and my heart skipped a beat.

I held him by the collar, and I dragged him closer to me and k-ssed him, then slowly parted l-ips

“I saw it in your eyes and I’ve been waiting to hear those words ” I told him and k-ssed him again and he k-ssed me back.

Suddenly we heard clapping, then we turned to see the crowd clapping.

Oh my gosh, we didn’t even notice that the crowd was watching.

“This luau sure is the best, it brought two lovebirds together” someone said and we smiled.

Corey took me home After the party and kept me on my bed.
This vacation has really changed us.

THE NEXT DAY 💫
I woke up very early, I carried my phone to check the time but I saw 14 missed calls.

I jerked up from the bed and checked who called, it Was Becky,

It’s been two days since I last talk to her, I need to apologize

I called her
📱 “Hey Becky, sorry I didn’t….”

📱 “I didn’t call for chitchat ” she cut me short with her serious tone.

📱 “What is it Becky?”

📱 “You need to come home now, your mom is in trouble ”

📱 “What? ” I retorted

Corey’s pov 🍇
I woke up late this time, I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth.

I came out, then my phone vibrated
It was a message from Henry.

He’s saying he found the information about that tattoo.
I read the messages

The tattoo are for members of the secret Assassin SAA, that attack rich billionaire business rendering them homeless.

I hate the SAA so much, so Amber is one of them and she is here for me.

Now I remember, the SAA killed my mother on one of their mission

I can’t stand the sight of them and a member of the SAA doesn’t deserve to live with me.

I went angrily to the dinning
“Amber” I yelled

She came down with her luggage
“Where to” I asked.

“I need to go back to New Jersey, my mom needs… ”

“You’re Fired and you can get out” I said and she looked at me in shocked.

“I can’t let a member of the SAA work with me, hold on right there ” I said and went upstairs.

I came back with an envelope, toss it on the dinning table.

“That’s your Salary, now please Get outta here” I said and went in,side.

“Corey why are you being rude ” she yelled but I ignored.

Amber’s pov 🍊
I called him but he ignored me, what does he mean by SAA.

Why is he acting strange, now I want to go back to New Jersey, he’s upset with me.

I dropped my luggage at the living room, then I went upstairs.

I knocked at the door of his room
“Corey? ” I called but he didn’t answer.

“Corey please listen, why are you upset with me ” I asked but he didn’t answer.

“Are you angry because I’m leaving? ” I asked and he opened the door looking angry

“I’m not angry that you are leaving, I’m angry for trusting you, please leave if you don’t want me to throw you out of my house ” he yelled at me.

Then slammed the door
Tears rolled down my face and I cleaned it up.

I went downstairs and carried my luggage and left Hawaii

I returned to New Jersey, I boarded a cab home
I tried calling Becky, but she’s not answering.

I finally arrived home, to see a big van parked outside our house and men packing our furniture into the van

WTF, where’s mom and what is going on?
I went in,side and was shocked by who I saw.

My dad and younger brother, Stewie

They were leading the men to pack the furnitures out.

“Dad, Stewie, what’s going on? ” I asked but they just glared at me and scoffed.

“Where’s mom” I asked as I went closer to them.

“Stay away, don’t call me your father, Bastard ” my dad said to me

What? Is my dad saying this to me, Stewie laughed then said

“By the way mom is in jail ” he said and tears dropped out from my eyes.

They left the house empty, What’s going on?

I called Becky again and she answered immediately

📱 “Where are you? ” I asked her.

📱 “I’m at the police station, hurry ” she answered.

I carried my luggage and rushed to the station,

“Come on, the constable said we can see your mom” she dragged me to the waiting room

We waited impatiently for my mom and she came with an officer
“You have one minute ” the officer said.

I hugged my mom as I cried

“Mom, why are you in jail” I asked as we sat down.

“Your dad had me arrested, please dear Leave this city, don’t let your dad see you ” my mom said and I frowned.

“He’s not my dad, he called me a bastard and I fully understand ”

“Then leave dear ” she said

“No way, I’m not leaving without you, and for crying out loud, why are you in jail ” I asked

“I’m guilty of murder ” she said and Becky and I gasped.

“Murder? How? ” Becky and I asked in unison.

“When I got married to your dad, I was already pregnant for you. So when he found out that you are not his daughter, he hated me and brought in a new wife, Camry. ”

“But I thought Camry, was dad’s sister?” I asked.

“No she wasn’t, out of anger, Camry and I fought and I mistakenly strangled her, so that’s why I ran away with you” she concluded.

“Time’s up ” the officer said and took mom

“Please one more minute ” I begged, but he took her away.

I hugged Becky and cried.

“There’s no use in shedding stupid tears, you might also be put in jail for running away with the culprit ”

I heard from behind and it was my dad and Stewie smirking.
