Bella’s POV

Ouch! My head hurts a lot! Ouch! I held my head before opening my eyes slowly and the light filtering into my eyes made me close them again as if I wasn’t accustomed to light

I sat up carefully looking around me to see a new environment, my right hand wasn’t moving and when I tried to move it forward it seemed to be fixed to a kinda wire, I traced it to see that something was dripping into my skin

Where am I? I asked looking around, the last thing I could remember was going on a school trip with Chloe
Oh my God! Where is Chloe? I looked around me to understand where I was but I can’t still get why am here

Brad came into my ward to see me
“Brad… “I called softly and weakly and his eyes widened
“Bella… Mom!! Dad!!! She’s awake!! Mark!! She’s so fuvking awake!!
I was so worried “he hugged me kissing my head several times leaving me confused

Mom and dad seemed to be around cuz they came in after hearing Brad call them followed by Mark
“Oh my God, my baby is alive “mom came to me hugging me too
Alive?? What happened? Why won’t I be alive? Why am I here ? Where’s Chloe?

Dad only heaved a sigh of relief going out of the ward, I knew in his eyes he was so happy to see me but he won’t say it out to me
Mark came around sitting beside me on the bed
“Bella… “Brad sobbed palming my face

“I thought I lost you”he pecked my two cheeks with tears in his eyes, why is he crying so hard like this?
“we missed you so much Bella”mom sobered and I felt like I’m loved, always loved tho but this feeling was different

Brad crying for me, mom being so worried even daddy and Mark, it seemed like I’m the only one who doesn’t love them enough in this family
“Wanna eat something? “She asked and I nodded my head, cuz I suddenly became hungry

“Wait here, what do you want to eat? Ask anything and I will get it for you”she asked and I smiled weakly at her
“My favorite “I demanded and she rushed out of the ward leaving Brad clinging to my side

“Bella… “He called softly
“Did you cry so much? “I asked him and he nodded like a baby

“We thought you’re dead”
Dead?? Why would they think that? Do I look dead to them?
“What happened to me? ”

“Here”Mark pointed at his shoulder before making me lean on him
“I missed you, ”
“For how long have I been here? ”

My eyes almost popped out when he mentioned EIGHT DAYS
“And Chloe? “Was the first thing I could think of

If am really here for ten days, then he should be here around me shouldn’t he?
“Worry about yourself now Bella, you’re still recovering”
“What happened? ”
“An accident but thanks you’re fine now”he snapped calmly trying to change the whole topic

What’s wrong? Where’s Chloe? Why isn’t saying anything about him?
Did he abandon me? Did he forget about me? I have been here for eight days and he can’t even come and see me
I began to cry

“You’re crying? “He asked holding my face in his palms
“I want to see Chloe “I mumbled and he sighed
“You can’t see him”
“Why? What’s wrong with him? He left me? I can fix it… We always fought and we fixed it all up again… ”
“That’s not it Bella, ”

“Huh”
“He’s not in the country anymore ”
My ears began to hurt cuz of what it just heard from Mark
“What?! ”
“Yes, I don’t want to tell you this till we get home but his condition is worse, his chances of survival is slim so he was sent out of the country… ”

He’s confusing me and making my whole body ache
“What exactly happened? ”
“You don’t remember? ”
I shook my head
“The school trip?? ”
I shook my head still, all I can remember was going into the bus with Chloe and then the rest is a total black out for me

He sighed holding my two hands, he signaled Brad to leave the room and he left
“Look, the bus had an accident and it took many lives of young teens of your age…. “He cleaned a tear which dropped out of his eyes

“Its a mystery that you’re alive… Pam is in the orthopedic hospital, Stacey too, I heard they’re your friends… She’s dead! So many others too “he began to cry but I wasn’t with him anymore

Soon, I began to struggle, wishing to get away from everyone and before my mom could bring me food to eat, I was already sedated by the doctor…..

“She has been to herself since that incident that happened weeks ago”Bella’s mom told her husband as they were eating in the dining table
He sighed as they watched her walk past them already dressed for school

“Bella! “She stopped walking but didn’t turn to her face to them
“Aren’t you going to eat, I made some… ”
“Am not hungry”she snapped before walking out of the house
She walked to school even though there was a bus which stopped to take in students

Her hatred for buses is out of the world, she sighed looking around her
She trudged carefully but steadily till she reached school
“Bella!! “Nicc called her and she turned to see him

He ran towards her
“Hey! “She cooed without a smile, her face is stone cold that she could hardly smile to people these days
“Bella”he said with a smile before pushing her into him for a hug

He disengaged from her
“Aren’t you gonna ask about when I came back? ”
She shrugged without a word
He sighed holding her two shoulders
“I came back yesterday, I heard what happened…. ”
“And you couldn’t even come and see me? “She snapped at him coldly

“It haven’t been easy for me this past weeks, my Nanny is sick and I can’t leave her all by herself
I heard Chloe is fine over there”

She spoke no more, she had alot to think about and not about Nicc

She’s lonely again,left in her own world again with no smiles on her face
She sat down on her chair and the usual murmurs which she always heard around her whenever she sits down began again
