I halt on hearing that confession.

“Y-you love me? ” I stutter.

He only stares at me and vanish.

“Wa-wa-wait…” I shout but he’s already gone.
“Damn.. ” I mutter as I hit the rails and place my elbows on it staring at the water.

Almost nightfall, I stay there for long thinking about how f-cked up my life has been since that day Martins gave me this mission. That dude’s such an asswipe. I wouldn’t have accepted it. Now I f-cked the f-cking criminal and I’m f-cking pregnant, the father’s dying soon. The person I would have had a blissful relationsh¡p with now is dying too.

Maybe I wasn’t really destined to have a good relationsh¡p, to settle down and have kids, normal kids. I wipe my tears and sniff as I start walking to my car. Ramsey comes to my mind again, as I cry the more, so painful he’s dying.. Even if he doesn’t know, I love him too, just don’t know how Leo occupied me.

I get to my car and hold the door handle and wait, I remove my hand and rest on the car crying. I sniff again and clean my face.

“Okayy… today’s a day to be crazy, not to cry… “I mutter to myself and muffle my tears holding the pains as open my the door and slide in. I ins**t the key and start the car engine, held the wheel for a while tightening my jaws trying to hold my tears, I move the car and hit the road. I tune my radio as Bibanke by Asa pops up. I keep driving listening and weeping in advance for Ramsey’s death. Never knew I love him this much.

I drive to mum’s gate and press my horn very loud waiting for the gateman to come open the gate for me. I keep pressing and no one comes to open. I open the door and get out of the car walking to the gate.

I jam my hands on the gate.

“Aboki come open this f-cking door.. ” I yell and jam again.

“Madam calm down I dey come fa.. ” I hear him mutter with his Hausa accent as his footsteps approach.

“Damn you.. ” I mutter and walk back to the car hoping he was gonna open the gate only to see him opening the small one and stands with his hands resting on it.

“Madam, I no tell me I dey come fa…” he mutters.

“Goodness gracious.. are you insane?” I yell.. “Jesus Christ… Open this shit…”

“O-o-kayy madam.. ” he stutters and run in,side opening the gate.

“Asswipe…” I silently mutter and enter my car. I start the engine and drive in pulling my car over.
“Dem go sack you soon” I tell him as I enter. Everywhere’s dark.

I close the door behind me and facing my front I finch. Cos I met mum’s eyes staring into mine in the darkness with a smirk.

“God… Mum, you scared me” I mutter holding my chest recovering from how my heart slammed against my chest.

“My bad… ” mum says and laugh as she switch on the light.
“What’s up” she says sitting down.

“I’m good… Your husband and step son? ” I ask her as I sit down too.

“They tra-vel-ed….” she drawls and I raise my brows. “what happened to your face? …have you been crying?” mum asks.

“Why asking? ” I ask her.

“You’ve got dried tears on your face kiddo. ” she states and I sigh resting my head on the couch top.

“Ramsey loves me.. ” I let out and mum chuckles and laugh.

“is that why you’re crying? “she asks.

I sit up. “You don’t understand mom, he’s dying tomorrow” I say with tears in my eyes and sniff.

“What the… ” mum mutters and gasp.. “F-ck.. ” she completes. So mum swears.

I weep the more, “I’m so sad mum, I’m not happy atall, why now… I love him, even though I didn’t realize, but mum I know now.. ” I say and cry.

“Awwnnn.. ” mum mutters and hug me “..it’ll be fine dear.. Don’t be confused.” she coos and I nod.

“Do you know how to get Leo to stop yet?” mum asks and I shake my head signaling no.
“Alright, go upstairs and freshen up, I’ll give you something to eat, you’re gonna sleep here tonight and tomorrow we plan. Almost a day to the D-day” mum says and I nod and sniff. I stand up and go upstairs.

~1 DAY TO D-DAY~

I open my eyes and it’s daylight. I slept really long. I step down from the bed as I stretch and yawn. I wanna walk into the bathroom when I heard moms voice.

“You’re up.. ” she says walking into the room.

“Good morning mum.. ” I greet her.

“Hope you slept well?” she asks and I nod.

“Take your bath quick and come downstairs.. We are hours closer ” she says and walks out as I walk into the bathroom.

DOWNSTAIRS

At the dining, I munch on my akara burger. (a Nigerian dish, beans cake and bread) with chilled Coca Cola. I eat it in silence as I think of Ramsey, maybe he’s dead now, I don’t even know. I’m not happy.

“You’re meeting Leo today.. ” mum says out of the blues and I pause with a great deal of akara burger in my mouth.

“Why? ” I say with a mouthful of what I’m eating as I drink water to push it down.

“We’re hours closer to the attack, so you’re gonna meet Leo, act your best, deck up, a fight might ensue but be rest assured, he’s not gonna hurt you, you have his kid.” mom explains and I chuckle.

“What if his demons turns his head? ” I ask mom, I seriously don’t wanna go to him.

“Calm nothing’s gonna go wrong, tryna get that name, if he doesn’t tell you, get the f-ck out and go look for Ramsey…”

“He’s dying mum, probably dead by now.. ” I tell her.

“He’ll still be alive till 12am… Meet him and he’s surely gonna tell you. Then on the D-day, prepare yourself, you’re fighting a great battle.” mum says and I breath out. I hold the bottle of Coca Cola and gulp it all down. I drop it and walk out.

“You’re not going until night.. ” mum shouts after me.

Whatever it takes, I’m doing this tonight. I’ll make sure this shit called p*ssy doesn’t disturb me around Leo. I put on the dress mum gave me. A faded crazy blue jean with rips on the th-gh and knee with a black hoodie and white sneakers. Like I’m going for an audition.

I place my two pistols on the drawer as I load the bullets in it. I c*ck the first one and hid it behind me in my trousers. I raise the second one up and c*ck it as I put it in my hood pocekts and walk out.

“Goodluck” mum mutters to me on my way out and I smile. I enter my car holding the wheels and sigh.

“Good luck” I mutter to myself as I drive out.

I pull over at Leo’s apartment, I check my time and it’s 11:15 pm as I get out of the car. I pick the gun in my hoodie pocket and c*ck it again.

“Let’s have some shows.. ” I mutter and walk in.

I see him sitted in the living room.

“Leo.. ” I call. And he looks at me.

“Erica what are you doing here.. ” he says standing up and walking to me.

“This is what I wanna do here. ” I say firmly and point the gun directly at his forehead making him to halt and I smirk. He stares at me like I’ve grown two heads and I smirk. I’m not getting intimidated by those eyes.

“What are you doing.. ” he mutters clearly pissed off.

“Leo, what are you really gonna gain in that f-cking killing you wanna do? Just massacre innocent peeps that doesn’t know about what the f-ck happened. I-….”

“Shut the f-ck up…. are you ever gonna understand?” he yells and I chuckle.

“I’m not gonna let that happen.. What’s your name? ” I ask him with a straight face and he clench his jaws and tighten his fist. Clearly pissed off.

“You don’t know what you’re doing.. ” he says.

“Dude what’s your f-cking name” I yell at him and his eye changes, white part turns red, black part turns green. He slaps my hand from his head as he lifts me up with my neck and throw me across the room as I slam on a door and fall to the ground. F-ck that eyes is dangerous.

“How else am I gonna tell you to f-cking leave that part huh? ” he mutters and lifts me again pinning me to wall above the ground.
“You’re making me do this Erica.. ” he mutters and I kick him in stomach as he drops me, I pick my gun to shoot but he turns it to bubbles as he holds my hair again and I gro-n as he throws me again, I was gonna fall on his glass table but he was already there as he holds me and slams me on a chair sitting me down. I hate this dude.

He walks to my front. “I said you should leave you fuc-” I cut him off with a punch on his cheeks, and another right in his face as I kick him so that he falls to the ground. I stand up and he’s already up as I point a gun at him, he smirks through his mask and controls the gun away from my hand as he stretches his hand at me and I felt an invisible force pull me up and slam me on a wall and I fall down coughing with my gun falling beside me.

I look up and he’s in front of me. He stretch his hands at me without touching me, and I feel something strong holding my neck and raising me up. Never experienced this kinda power before. The force lifts me above ground with Leo’s hand controlling it. His eyes, too deadly.

“Erica, stay the f-ck away from me. What you want I’m never gonna give you, just get the f-ck away.. ” he grits.

“I’m-n-ot go-n-na give up.. “I choke and he releases his hand as I drop to the floor and wheeze for air. He runs his hand on his face and chench his jaw.

“Don’t you wanna understand? I… ” I ignore him as he pick the gun and walk out of the house. I enter my car and drive off. Ramsey’s way.

11:45pm

I hit the street and drive as fast as I can to get to Ramsey’s house. I drive really fast disobeying every light signal. The speed’s just to much. I feel some cars following me. I check them out from the mirror and I chuckle.

“F-cking police.. ” I mutter and drive faster than I was driving.

I pull my car over at Ramsey’s apartment.

11:55pm.

I run in,side and see him sitting on a chair like he’s lifeless.

“Ramsey.. ” I call him. His eyes are turning grey, the black iris is disappearing. F-ck he’s dying. Seeing him this way is making me cry. But now is not when to cry..

“You wo-ould-n’t hav-e come” he silently stutter.

“Ramsey you need to help me…. ”

“Erica you have to leave quickly, it’s dangerous here, this house is collapsing in a minute.” he manage to say cos his eyes came back to normal and then back to Grey as he lays his head back..

“What’s your father’s name.. ” I ask him and he didn’t reply.

I slap him hærd and he sits up well.. “What’s your father’s name?” I ask him.

“Leonard.. his name his Leonard,..” he mutters and my head rings. So I’ve been f-cking Jacob unknowingly and I never knew it was him. Maybe it’s not him.

“And your brother’s name?” I ask him but he’s dead. “Ramsey… ” I call. ”
“Ramsey” I call and shake him.
“He’s gone.” I mutter to myself. I muffle my tears trying not to cry as I hold his hands but I lost it as I cry out loud holding his hands and hugging his dead body. A thunder sounds and a lightening follows. I need to get out fast. And rain starts falling.

I walk out with tears and pain in my heart and eyes as see those police officers pull over and walk out, three of them as they point guns at me. I chuckle and ignore them walking to my car.

“Young lady you’re under arrest for violating…. ” I didn’t let him finish as I turn back and slap him very hærd and punch his face. He falls backwards but I hold him back and bent him holding his neck as I jump him and kick the second police and he gro-ns and fall back. I’m gonna transfer my aggression on them. The last one shoots me and I keep walking towards him like I’ve got some super powers. I have my bulletproof vest on. With a straight face, I snatch the gun from him and punch his face and he gro-ns. I pull him forward and open the car door and I hit his head in the edge and he falls down lifeless with blood on his face.

“I never wanted to do this.. ” I mutter as I start to walk back to my car. The first two police officers are still gro-ning and struggling on the floor. I faced my front without looking at them I shot them both two rapid shots on the head and they’re dead as I throw the gun down.

The thunder rumbles again an the compound shakes, there’s gonna be an earthquake. I quickly enter the car and start the engine and drive out as swiftly as I can.

I hear a very loud thud as I look back, Ramsey’s house is gone, the ground swallowed it. I cry and weep as I drive cos it’s painful I saw Ramsey died.

I walk back into Leo’s house.

“Leo… ” I call and climb upstairs. He sits down on a bed, with his white mask on. He sips from his wine and drops the glass on the drawer beside the bed as he smokes from his cigarette.

“Erica, what do you want” he asks.

“Who really are you?” I reply.

“I told ya…… ”

“Lier!!!” I yell as I bring out a gun and point it at him. He shakes his head and ‘tsk’ as he stands up and rapidly collects the gun from me and c*ck it pointing it at me as I bring out another gun rapidly and point back at him also.

“You didn’t c*ck it” he says and smirk and I c*ck the gun.

“I told your ass I’m James Leo!!” he yells back. “…….if you don’t believe then you f-ck off.. ”

“or I could just f-ck you up” I reply

“Then I’d shoot you myself” he mutters with a cold glare. “…why do you have to do this?” he asks dropping his hands and I see tears in eyes.

“Why have you been lying… Why didn’t you tell me you’re pastor Jacob Leonard? Why would you have to lie and confuse me .. ” I say with tears in my eyes.

“Okay.. ” he says and removes his mask and I see his face clearly. F-cking Jacob Leonard.

“You bastard.. ” I yell with tears trying to jump at him but I couldn’t move, his powers holds me down.

“I never lied, Leo is just a short form of Leonard and James is like a Yoruba version of Jacob. At home peeps call me Jamis…” mimicking the Yoruba style “….would you have loved me? Wouldn’t you have exposed me if I had let you known I’m Jacob!” he yells with tears too. Everything’s emotional right now.
“I had loved you too and that’s why I came back for you… F-ck this.. ” he says with pain in his eyes as the tears drops from his eyes. “-is it a crime for me trying to do what’s right?…”

“You call your planned massacre something right?” I chuckle sadly. “You’re a dummy”

“I don’t care anymore, you’re not gonna leave here till I’m through.. ” he says and he goes to a wardrobe and bring out a dress as I look at him. He puts them on, a long leather jacket and jeans. All black and he changes his white mask.

“Whatever you wanna do Leo, you’re not gonna succeed” I yell at him.

“We’ll see to that.. ” he mutters and vanish.

“F-ck me.. ” I yell and cry..

3:00am

I hear some footstep and I’m scared.

“who’s that?” I mutter in fear..

“It’s me.. ” mum’s voice echos. “…come let’s go” mum mutters and like magic I could move again.

“Have you seen the breaking news today?” mum asks as we climb down stairs.

“Leo’s face is everywhere, and everything about him. No other choice, we’re gonna destroy him” mum says and switch on the TV in Leo’s room and I see the breaking news moving at the base of the TV.

“Ramsey.. ” I mutter. “Ramsey did this… ” I mutter and run out as mum follows.

I started making some calls calling fellow agents and forces on how we’re gonna stop him today.

By morning the city is scattered as angry youths are heading to burn down Jacob Leonard’s church.

I go to the agency as I dress up, I deck myself up with weapons and a rocket launcher as I enter my car and drive off.

I get to the stadium and wait patiently. This top officials are too deaf, they still came here after what they’ve read. Cos Ramsey published that news in details even on newspaper that no one should go to the stadium, but they’re here in double fold. Like they’ve got extra lifes.

Minutes later, the gates to the stadium locks and the sky darkens as everyone panics.

“He’s here… ” I mutter tapping my earbud so the other agents I brought will hear. Mum already said..
‘he’ll announce his arrival by darkening the sky, y’all should’ve your juvenile cat fish in your guns to weaken him.’

“Alright listen up.. ” I address through the ear bud and I load my rocket launcher. “…….shoot continuously on my command… We gats stop him today” I address and place the launcher well.

The sky clears revealing Leo the cobra above the earth, this time without a mask so I’d say Jacob.

“Alright everyone in position.. ” I mutter.

Leo forms a fire with his hands and I come openly.

“Erica? ” he mutters surprisingly.

“Motherf-cker.. ” I yell and shoot the rocket launcher and like a slow motion, we watch as it goes straight and… it hit him as he explodes. But that’s not all, his body parts did not drop as they come back together to form a new him. With his eyes more dangerous he advance towards me.

“Oh shit.. ” I mutter.. “FIRE!!! ” I shout and my team opens fore on him as he gro-ns and yell cos the bullets mixed with juvenile’s having effect on me.

He yells and gro-ns holding himself as he tries going up again, the bullets makes h0le of fire in him and with the shots still going on he expands and explode again. But he’s coming back again, I load the launcher again and as he joins back, I release the rocket as it explodes him again.

We’re so killing this bitch. I have no emotions no more.

“Keep the fire rolling boys.. ” I order through the bud. As he tries coming back, we shoot every pieces of him, shots on shots and we see him no more.

“Phew… ” I mutter as the top politicians and officials are already happy. He’s destroyed.

Just when I thought everything’s over.

“Watch out.. “I hear my colleagues yell and as I turn back, like some flash from the sky, Leo sweeps me off my feet straight into the sky and we’re gone.

And I found my self on an island surrounded with seas and waters….

“Arrgh.. ” I gro-n “…F-ck you LEOO!!! ” I yell.

Leo lands back in the middle of the stadium and everywhere shakes.

“Y’all are so dying.. ” he seethes as he rises from the earth moving his hands up and a whirlwind forms from under him, his face cold. The whirlwind raises him so high, he opens his palms and fire forms on it. “-this is for my massacred people” he says.

Officials and politicians running around to o open the stadium gate as their bodyguards help them too. Some are trying to jump over some fence.

“I no wan die oo, open this thing.. “is what they’re muttering.

“Too late.. ” Leo mutters as he lands a fire there and BOOM 💥, they explode.

And he controls the whirlwind as he flies Everywhere causing explosions to happen, melting everything on his way, no gunshot penetrates him.

As the explosion keeps going on, body parts fly around, intestines, legs, hands and head flies around as the explosion keeps going on.

He comes down again and hit the floor as he gro-ns and ascends up, his eyes turns white and the whirlwind covers everywhere with dust, the wh0le stadium now dark as he keeps ascending, and like a thunder voltage runs through him and his hands too as the sky darkens again.

“Arrrrgh…. ” with one last gro-n and with all the energy he has left, he gro-ns and releases all on him on the ground and BOOM….

Everywhere bursts and explode as fire and wind engulf the wh0le stadium destroying everything left in it.

He drops his hand, drained, tired and empty, everywhere silent as he falls back to the earth and the dusts swallows him up.

…..
And so, he destroyed all the force men and top officials in the state in just one day.

Everywhere now looks like a leveled ground with ashes and bones and burnt fleshes covering the face. Like nothing was ever constructed there.
