BEHIND THE SMILE

She threw the cup on the ground with the tea in it and it smashed into pieces

Geni ran into the room
“What happened Bianca? She queried while looking at the mess Bianca made.

“This is my house and nobody has the right to question my actions. I do whatever pleases me and I advice you react only when I ask you to…” Bianca warned

Geni turned to leave but Bianca called her back
“,… who will clean up this mess or are you waiting for a special invitation”

Geni turned and said to her “I’m not your house girl Bianca. I know I needed accomodations and I appreciate you helping me out but I have paid back in different ways. I help you with your assignment and other school runs. I asked you not to get a cleaner or cook that I will do both and I have always done that but that doesn’t mean that I’m your maid. Let’s get that clear…”

Bianca laugh sarcastically
“So, you now have the nerve and mouth to challenge me Geniva? You forget that I feed you, I pay my bills and yours too because your poor parents can’t afford to take care of all your needs. When I say you should clean the mess I have the full right to that and if you are not okay with it then leave…”

“Fine, I will leave but you will give me to next semester so that I can get a place. Exam is starting soon and I can’t afford to be homeless at this point in time…” Geni replied back angrily.

Bianca interrupted with a hoax laughter.
“You can’t be homeless because exam is coming right… just listen to the nonsense you just said. at whose expenses if I let you stay? Answer me or you have suddenly gone dumb. you are going to leave right now or I will throw your things out by myself. I don’t need a negative vibe around me and you have never supported my quest on this Benny issue so is better you stay far from me…”

Geni thought of what to do, she has to give in and apologies.
She knew it was time to move out but since she haven’t gotten a place yet she will have to put up with whatever Bianca is bringing and use the opportunity to get a somewhere to move to
She has tolerated alot from Bianca and it was beginning to choke her.
Soon enough it will change.

She apologized but Bianca wasn’t ready to listen.
“I will agree to your terms, tidy your every mess, do as you order and support your quest. I can’t be on the street right now due to the upcoming exam. Give me a chance and time please…”

Bianca later agreed but not after ordering her authoritatively to clean the tea and the broken cup on the floor.

“Do you know why I smashed the cup? Is because of professor Benny. I can’t seem to get through to him. I thought engaging the wife will be an easy access but that woman is a witch. She rendered every of my plan useless. I’m thinking of a new plan and since I have forgiven you, you owe me big time. Give me a suggestion on what I should do next…”

Geni who never liked or encourage the idea of Bianca fantasizing over a married man had no choice than to think of a way to help Bianca.

“Maybe you should go straight and tell the man that you’re his secret admirer…”

“Don’t be stupid Geni” Bianca barked.
“…What kind of dumbest idea is that? I’m looking for means to cancel my full intention and identity, here you’re talking nonsense. If I wanted to do that I could have done it long time ago and save my self from all this wh0le stress and long process of even going to meet the wife. I’m okay both financially and physically. I can attract any guy I want but I prefer older men and not just any kind of older men, cute, rich, brilliant older men and my sweet Benny fit into my desires perfectly. I don’t care what it takes, I will get him. There is nothing most satisfying as waking up one day besides him, carrying his baby and knowing fully well that he is mine and mine alone…”

Geni rolled her eyes at her when she wasn’t looking.
She almost scre-m outloudly that such will never happen because the man loves his wife and won’t give any chance for somebody like her to get close. She wanted to shut her up from saying nonsense but the fear of getting evicted kept her mute.

Dorcas complained to the husband of the pain, they decided to drive to the hospital that night without wasting time.

The doctor asked her to do a scan of which she did and presented the results.

It was confirmed that the baby was still forming well and there is no complications.
He advised her to stick to her routine drugs and avoid any form of stress.

Benny took his wife home. They were both happy that the baby was confirmed alright.
Even though is only after two weeks that she will be three months which is mostly the danger period but she had faith that nothiny will happen.
She cancelled all appointment and plans. Anything that will take her out of her comfort zone she avoided it.
It was until Bianca called one morning that she remembered that she was supposed to continue the legal advice on phone like it was agreed on.
She apologized to Bianca for not being able to meet up but Bianca said it wasn’t the reason she called.
She only called to check up on her and to know how she was doing. She promised to be calling from time to time to check up.
Dorcas thanked her before the call ended.

After the call that was when Dorcas told Benny about Bianca, her new young and beautiful client who school in highway University and was also his biggest fan.

Benny nodded with smile and did not give it much thought rather than “oh wow, that’s great”

Few days later Dorcas noticed a s₱0tting, blood s₱0tting.
Benny rushed her to the hospital and she was discharged again that same day on the account that everything was fine.

They kept praying and hoping that nothing will go wrong.

After two weeks passed by Dorcas was excited that she had passed the danger month miraculously.
She was very happy and so was Benny.

Seeing the joy on Benny’s face makes her more happy.
They both trusted God that the rest of the month will be smooth.
