I smiled like carelessly as I touch my wa-ist where he had touched, everything happened like flash,I wish he can continue to be nice,
I want him to always look happy he his too handsome to be a snub,
something must have made him like that..

the ointment I was holding fell,I came back to my senses and bent to pick it up but I couldn’t find it…the place was too dark..if and only if the chandelier was still on.
Anyways,am grateful it was lotanna.. I continue searching until i found it bride the door,beside it was a necklace,it felt soooo cold.
must be gold and must be for lotanna.
I smiled and went away with both,
I was almost getting to the maids quarter,i saw nkem discussing with a particular security.
the security nodded and went back to his position, their discussion was over.

our eyes locked,
the first thing my eyes looked in his body was where he had bruises.
has he even forgiven me?.
I wouldn’t have pushed him if I knew it was a necklace but he acted so close like he want to take advantage of my innocence…

how do i even get him to forgive him? who knows if my fate of remaining here is in his hands?.

he looked away immediately our eyed locked, I moved away from the way so he could pass.
“nkem am sorry,I brought you this healing ointment if you won’t mind” I showed off the plastic.
he passed by without words.
he is actually ignoring me, but I thought we are friends like ngozi is my friends…
ngozi only get mad at me for 10mins whenever we fight or argue.

“nkem you said am your friend,is this how friends acts,I have been begging you for so long nkem,even when you tell me not to cry of emotional trauma I listened to you and stopped thinking,I always listen to you…now you,you couldn’t even forgive me” I said.
he turned slightly at me.

“i will forgive you only if you will attend Royal’s” he said.
“hmmmm….Royal,in the next village? I can’t am an ordinary maid and besides am ugly…am…

he didn’t allow me complete my statement,his face came close like he wants to k-ss me.
I felt scared,friends do not k-ss right?.
he smiled and used his fingers to silence my l-ips.

I smiled,we are back as friends.

I returned to the maids quarter and stood at the entrance where there was light so I could see lotanna’s necklace properly.
someone cleared throat in an annoying manner from behind,

“Mrs okafor calls for you” she said.
I left,
soon I arrived at her door and entered.
“am in need of hot water,can you make one for me?” she asked.
“always count on me” I replied and went out with a bucket.I came back few minutes later.
she had her night bed and retired back to bed,I stayed with her for the night,I made sure she sleep before bringing out the necklace to view.

it has two shooting stars as pendants…so pretty.
I tied it to the end of my wrapper and slept beside Mrs okafor.
I remembered that my song.

that trouble girl is something else,I can’t believe she didn’t notice the chandelier light falling..what if it has fallen on her???

trouble here and there…that wouldn’t get her anywhere,she should learn to be a calm girl sometimes.

I rolled my eyeballs as I filled my glass with wine,I have many unfixed issues in my life,
am looking for that girl,
am looking for that murderer who always show up whenever am deeply in love..

before I had wanted to wait until the girl finally decide to show up but right now,I think she is delaying.
and am trying the wise man method.

I want to see you first although I won’t speak to you for now,just want to see you so I will know how to protect you fully,
you must not die like my pasts,
I want to find you and the more I don’t see you,the more clueless I get and I hate suspence,it gives me sleepless nights.
even me,I don’t think am save.

sometimes,I feel like am with you but after a while,you just seem so far away,

she catwalked by my side and walked upstairs. .

I scoffed.

“Do you by chance know the owner of this bead,the owner do you know it? or is there any Ife in this palace?”.

he kind of stare at me….it was a quick glance and with the way he did, i was smart enough to tell he knew the owner but he doesn’t want to say it,I took my l-ips in.

I entered Tracy’s room where I dropped the bead on one of the Sofa’s,I went upstairs.

her bedroom door wasn’t locked,

it was a strange number.
💌 who is this?” I sent back.

another one buzzed in.
I got surprised.So she also went to school….how come she has my number?..

💌 which room are you in? is it Tracy’s? fine am coming over”
she sent.
I felt headache,
I hastily stood up and rushed to the living room.
how careless and forgetful? I didn’t even lock the door.

I hastily locked it,then I returned back to the bedroom.

come to think of it,who is the girl making lotanna loose his mind?
hmmm I better not find out about her because if I should do,her life will never remain the same and her fate will remain in my hands… I can kill her and bury her without anybody finding out,with that i can always think of something else in my mind.
The only way she can be safe is if she is wealthy but if she is poor, am sorry she just arrive into hell.

the queen approached,
I started crying,I deepened the cry and even coughed.With that,she rushed to me.

I asked.

I stood up from Mrs okafors bed with so much energy.I remembered Lotanna hugging me in the previous night,that remains my happiest moment.

I comport myself as Mrs okafor showed up,
she now look so fine and healthy.

“same here,have you bath? she asked..
“no,I will do that after finishing my work” I replied.
“you had better go and bath,today is Royal’s, you’re among the maids that would go”she said.
I felt so surprised i was chosen;

I really got crazy in my thoughts yesterday night.

I got ready and dressed.

I heard murmurs from the maids as we approached the sea.

I got relieved the moment we entered,I saw something different for the first time in my life..

I felt as if am in another word,the yacht was like heaven is opened to rain,everything in,side was new.

“go with the other maids,I want to check something” Mrs okafor left me, I hurriedly went to ebere’s side we walked till we cut across the place princess Akuna and princess Amarachi where..

I didn’t read how long nor how far all I know was that we are faraway from home……we would get there before night,this is just evening.

I used my eyes to search for Lotanna’s section so I can drop the necklace for him,I didn’t get it, instead I stood near,bashed my lashes and watch the blue sea….

I looked back the moment I heard footsteps,it appeared to be no one behind me….
I moved my glance back to the front, that was when i saw prince Lotanna back view at the far end of the long yacht,he was also admiring the sea.
I felt strange sparkles the more I stare deeply and I hastily look away.

I still looked back again and admired how ethereal he looked in the prince attire…so pretty down there,
even the royal bracelets adorn his wrist perfectly.
soo attractive and admirable.
I wish he would continue dress like this it suite him best,he makes me get the hope to believe.
I got so carried away staring that I didn’t even notice he was staring back..
I feel like we are so close.

i also moved back till my buttocks hit the yatch ending.
