I tried singing again,no voice came out,i felt so shocked.My hand instantly went to my head,I couldn’t even cry.
Ngozi stared at me with so much emotions and care!.

“Adeife where is your voice?”, she asked.My tears stream down.
“I don’t know…maybe it is not meant for me,maybe the owner has finay taken it,maybe good things are not meant for me…this is why I can’t BELIEVE,believe is meant for classy and pretty girls only” I said as I start crying.
I wanted to run away,Ngozi drag me back.
“Ife where to?”, she asked.
“to kill myself” i replied..she sighs as she wipe my tears.
“am sorry if won’t help” she said.
“it would help because onome won’t see someone to beat,Olamma won’t see someone to pick on and father won’t see someone to shout at” I said as I covered my face.

“what about me…who will talk to me after you kill yourself?”, she asked.
I hastily drop my hand from my face.

Finally,lotanna strolled out.
Mother was not with him this time around and I guess the walk was too much or maybe because he saw many new faces…
Lotanna is allergic to people,even back then at school(abroad), he has his own special tutor,special lecture room too.He is like that from birth, doesn’t talk too much☺,doesn’t talk when he is not called…in fact if you leave him in a place,you will come back and meet him in the very place you left him.

I said and made up my mind to finally drown myself. I entered the stream and almost drown myself,

Am not sure of which of the prince I met, I dropped it with the guard and ran away.

I ran till I left the stream direction,
the rain was still falling,everywhere now look so calm and pretty cool.
Now,I have no where to go!

Vivian was coming in the other direction,I quickly went to the other direction…
“Hi Adeife” she greeted..
“Hi V” I waved back with respect(bowing).
“where are you going to in this rain?”, she asked.
“well…am going to…to…to my father’s house” I lied.
even the devils knows I dare not go to onome this night.

The rain was getting heavy,I hastened my footstep and ran to Ngozi’s place..
firewoods were set burning in the shade, her old stepmother was under the shade which means Ngozi should be in,side sleeping.
Gosh,I would I enter?…..

Like I wish,she stood up and entered,I hastily ran to the wooden window to Ngozi’s room.
I knocked,no reply.

I knocked, knocked and knocked before she finally open up.
“Adeife what are you doing here?”, she asked.I kept quiet
“it’s really dark and this rain might kill you” she said.
“that was how I was killed in my previous life! I said and started crying.
“that cry,it doesn’t suit you”,
she said and opened the window widely for me to get in.

“how are you comfortable in such conditions?”,she asks when I start taking off my cloths.
“am used to it as you know On one always make me go through this” I said,she smiled as she brought out one of her dress wrapper for me to use.

I felt so shy standing stark unclad in the presence of my best friend..
Finally,I covered my uncladness.I moved to the window side to squeeze water out of the cloth I wore earlier.I spread them on the window side and locked it calmly.
“Adeife! Ngozi called,I faced her.

I pretended as if I don’t know what a br-ast holder is,the truth is that have never worn one…Onome said it is not meant for ugly girls.
