When Nico got to school,the ambulance was already there and Leonard was being pulled in. Everyone was crying but Mariana was the loudest
Nico swallowed and looked around,his eyes met with Jeremy and he immediately rushed to him
“What happened here?” He asked
“I don’t know,but I guess Leonard took a bullet for Mariana,that’s what it looks like…..”
“Sh*t” Nico said and immediately ran off.
He was still running when he got a call and he stopped,he moved to somewhere silent when he saw the caller
“You bastard,how dare you!” Nico shouted,breathing heavily with an angry look on his face
“I guess that dude like your crush,so unfortunate for him to die coz I’m still going to kill her”
“Don’t you f**King dare touch her dad,I swear I will kill you!” Nico snapped
“Dad?” Jeremy’s voice came from behind and Nico hanged up the call before turning
“Did you just said…dad?” Jeremy asked again and Nico breathe out
“I’m asking you a damn question!!” Jeremy yelled and grabbed Nico’s collar
“what’s going on?” Jace came closer
“His father is the mystic killer,I heard him talking on phone” Jeremy said,still glaring at Nicole
“What?!” Jace’s eyes widened
“Can you let go of me??” Nico asked
“Explain what the f**k is going on!!” Jeremy shouted angrily
“That’s true! He’s my dad!!” Nico shouted and a heavy punch landed on his mouth from Jeremy which made him fall
“You bastard,your father is a killer and you still have the gut to say that!!” Jeremy punched him again,he started punching him angrily without stopping
“Jeremy!” Jace grabbed him
“Let go of me!!!” Jeremy yelled,striving out of Jace’s grip
Nico wipe his bloody nose and mouth before getting up
“Jace leave me alone,I feel like killing him seriously” Jeremy said,glaring at Nico
“We should at least hear him out” Jace said
“Hear him out?! Mariana would have died just few minutes ago!! Leonard got shot in the damn head,you think he’s ever going to survive that?!” Jeremy yelled
“So…..it was your dad? Why is he after Mariana?” Jace asked
“He….he thought she’s the one discouraging me about working for him” Nico said and Jace was confused
Jeremy’s eyes widened
“Don’t tell me….the…..mystic assassin….is you” He stammered and Nico nodded
Jace and Jeremy gasped in shock
“What did you just say?” Tessa joined them,her eyes wide open in total shock
“You heard him right,He’s the f**king damn assassin” Jeremy said and Tessa covered her mouth with her palm preventing herself from screaming
“Lord” she whispers,staring at Nico who had a guilty face on.

HOSPITAL
Leonard was rushed into the hospital with the stretcher,his face covered with blood and he’s hardly recognized.
“Leonard!!!! Please open your eyes please!” Mariana cried,running after them
“Please stay out,you can’t come in” One of the nurses said as they pulled Leonard into the ward.
“No!!!” Mariana screamed,almost running after them but Ricardo grabbed her and pulled her back
“Leonard” Dior whispers,she was crying bitterly,staring at the ward Leonard was taken into
Ricardo hugged Mariana
“He will be fine” He said
“I hope so,he saved my life Richie,it’s all my fault” Mariana cried in his arms
Ricardo kept hugging her until she became a little bit calm,he moved to Dior and also hugged her
“I’m never going to get over it if he doesn’t survive this,I’m not” Dior cried
“He’s definitely going to be fine,I trust him so please stop crying please” Ricardo said and Dior nodded.
Ricardo sighed,he was also trying his best not to break down,the fact that Leonard’s head was shot made him lose hope but he needed to be strong enough right now
“I’m going to call his mom” Ricardo said
Dior and Mariana nodded and hugged each other while Ricardo walked away from their sight.

They watched as the nurses and Doctors run in and out of Leonard’s ward,everything seems to be in a total devastated state.
“No please Leonardo….stay with me” Mariana said in tears,walking closer to the ward window
Oxygen was already passed in his nose and she could see he Was really fighting for his life
“You can’t leave me…..I’m gonna die” She said,placing her hand on the window
“Please,stay away ma’am” One of the nurses said and turn on the blind
“No!!!!!” Mariana cried when she couldn’t see anything again
She started knocking
“Rosalie stop it” Ricardo dragged her away from there
“We can’t just stay here and do nothing please,….I just… ”
“You are not the Doctor,let them do their job please,just trust him,He’s a strong person” Ricardo said
“I want to believe that,but I can’t” Mariana hugged him tightly
Dior was sitting on the floor,she wasn’t even herself as she sat down
Minutes later,Mrs Briggs ran into the hospital,she met them
“Where’s my son!! What happened to him!!!” Mrs Briggs shouted,with the look of things,she already cried coz her eyes are red
“Mom” Ricardo called
“Where’s Leonard?” Mrs Briggs asked looking at Mariana who was also in tears
“Mom” Mariana cried and immediately hugged her
“He saved…..my life” She stuttered and Mrs Briggs broke into tears
“My son” She cried
“I’m sorry” Mariana whispers,tears rolling down her eyes
“He will be fine right? Tell me he will be fine” Mrs Leonard cried out
Mariana hugged her more tightly,both crying
The ward door opened and two nurses rushed out
“What happened to my son?” Mrs Briggs asked but the nurses ignored them,rushing off
“Oh no Leonard” Mrs Briggs cried more loudly
Mariana also weeping silently

DIAMONDS COLLEGE
“So you mean….it’s you…..you’ve been killing all those people” Tessa said unbelievably after Nico told them his story
Nico nodded and Jeremy almost hit him
“Jeremy wait!” Tessa stepped in front of Nico and Jeremy stepped back
“Seriously,are you defending a murderer right now?” Jeremy asked
“I’m not supporting him,but you should know it’s not his fault. He needs our help” Tessa said
“I’m not in the mood for help” Jeremy said
Jace sighed
“What do we do now? We need to report your dad” Jace said
“Then he will also live the rest of his life in jail” Tessa said
“So what do you expect? Leonard is there,we don’t even know if he’s gonna survive that gunshot” Jeremy snapped
“We are going to report his dad and we should try our best to make sure Nico isn’t involved in this” Jace said
Tessa faced Nico
“You talked about your mom right? Is she still with him?” She asked and Nico nodded
“Fine,We can use her as our bait” Jeremy muttered and they nodded
Tessa hugged Nico
“It’s gonna be okay,trust me stop crying” She muttered,patting his back
Nico wrapped his arms around her
“Thank you” He muttered
“Can we go tonight?” Jeremy asked getting their attention
“Yeah,I’m afraid He’s gonna come for Nico” Tessa said
“Are you insane? Are you going to take him home now or what?” Jeremy groaned and Tessa sighed
“I’m just worried” She said
“I don’t think he can hurt his own son,,so let’s go tomorrow morning. We should go see Leonard first” Jace said
“Yeah right” Tessa said

NEXT MORNING≈ HOSPITAL
Everywhere was still so rough,the news about Leonard being shot is all over already. Outside the hospital are number of fans screaming and crying to know the state Leonard is while the security tried their best to stop them from going into the hospital.

Most of them are in tears since there’s no news coming to them about his health.
Inside,Mariana’s eyes was all red. Mrs Briggs wasn’t herself anymore,since yesterday the doctors haven’t said anything to them,neither are they allowed into the ward
Dior buried her face in Jace’s chest,she just stopped crying too. Ricardo was also silent while Alexa and Octavia sat beside Mariana.
All of a sudden,One of the doctors came out and they all stood up immediately
“Please tell me what’s going on with my son please!!” Mrs Briggs screamed
“I’m sorry but he will have to undergo a surgery” The doctor said and everyone gasped
“But,it’s a 50/50 chance right now coz the bullet went straight into his skull” The Doctor added
“What exactly are you trying to say?” Mrs Briggs asked
“I’m saying,Even if he survive the surgery,he might lose his sanity forever” The Doctor said and immediately Mrs Briggs fainted
“Mrs Briggs!!” Everyone shouted as she landed on the floor
“No!!!!” Mariana cried out and immediately her heart started racing so badly,but this one seems to hurt more than the usual ones,it was as if her heart was going to come out of her chest
Before she knew it,she was puking out blood from her mouth as she grabbed her chest
“Ahh!” She cried in pain
“Rosalie!” Ricardo called and immediately grabbed her before she fell on the floor
Her blood stained Ricardo’s chest and she fell unconscious immediately.
“Mariana!!!” Everyone screamed
