Canada was the least place I expected Gilgamesh to teleport us to but at least it was the perfect place to lay low.
Canada’s geographical region was quite blessed with nature’s gift, it has forests and mountain range. All these things are a perfect for a good cover and totally staying off the grid.
After Gilgamesh teleported us to Canada, we found ourselves in the middle of the woods, the vegetation was quite thick and there was total serenity in the place ; the best part was that there was also an abandoned shack in the place.
The cabin was quite old and small, just enough to contain 2 to 3 people but living in this kind of place is going to be quite uncomfortable although considering the situation we were in, we had no choice to be picky about where to stay so we decided to manage with this one, at least it was better than getting stranded in the middle of the woods.

After taking a look around the cabin, Arthur and I decided to go in and observe it’s interior. As soon as we got in, we were surprised by the neatness of the place, there wasn’t much in the house except for an old TV set, some pair of cushions and a bed. There was also a toilet and a kitchen not to mention the chimney and a fire place.
The place was quite perfect actually, it had everything we needed except food and water. Water wouldn’t be a problem around here but the food was the issue, I would prefer if we lived in the urban part of Canada but would put us at risk cause we’re fugitives.

Arthur ➡ This place is nice.

Gwen ➡ Yeah. It is except we don’t have anything to eat. We can’t even use the money in my account, I’m sure the bank has frozen it.

Arthur ➡ Don’t worry, we can survive out here. This was the kind of life I used lived with my parents.

Gwen ➡ Really? How did you guys cope?

Arthur ➡ We did pretty well. My dad hunted for food and mom stayed in the house and cooked the meals. Life was pretty simple back then.

Gwen ➡ Okay genius, how are we going to clothes ourselves and how do we get money?

Arthur ➡ I’m sure we can think of something after all two heads are better than one.

Gwen ➡ I don’t know Arthur. I’m not just grooving this plan of yours.

Arthur ➡ Come on Gwen, be positive. It’s just the two of us and I’m sure we’ll manage ourselves nicely.

Gwen ➡ It’s not just the 2 of us, we’re having company.

Arthur ➡ What do you mean?

Gwen ➡ (sighs) I’m pregnant.

Arthur ➡ Pregnant??

Gwen ➡ Yes and it’s yours.

I fixed my gaze on Arthur’s face waiting to see his reaction, His face was blank and in a trance for a while but he then looked sort of surprised and approached me. He bend down close to my stomach and placed his ear on my belly to confirm what I just told him and in a blink of an eye, He raised me high in the air and swung me around in joy.

Arthur ➡ (laughs excitedly) I can’t believe it. I’m going to be a father.
.

Gwen ➡ Wait! You’re happy about this?
.

Arthur ➡ Of course. Aren’t you?
.

Gwen ➡ As a matter of fact, No. I’m not ready to be a mother and I’m surprised at your reaction cause most guys in your position would start complaining and trying to find an excuse to deny the pregnancy.

Arthur ➡ Well, I’m not denying it. I’m the father, right?
.

Gwen ➡ Of course. You’re the one I’ve been sleeping with ever since we met. How do you suppose you’re going to take care of me and the baby in this condition? Not only are we broke and stranded in this cabin, we’re also fugitives. I’m sorry Arthur but this isn’t going to work.

After that statement, I sat on the bed and placed my hands on my forehead feeling emotionally disturbed. I didn’t mean to say all that loud to Arthur but everything happened so fast. First there was my pregnancy, the discovery of my alliance with Arthur and the worst part was that Omhigan now knows everything about me and Arthur. This was too much to process and I had no idea what to do, I wasn’t expecting unfold like this and for the first time in my life, I felt helpless and scared.
In that moment, Arthur sat next to me and wrapped his hands around my wa-ist, he gave a little k-ss on my neck and turned my face towards him. I looked into his eyes hoping to see the same look of despair on his face but he was calm.

Arthur ➡ I understand how you’re feeling Gwen and I know the situation we’re in messed up. But we’re still alive aren’t we? And when there’s life, there’s hope. Don’t forget you’re not alone in this, I’m also involved in this and your brother’s involved in this too. It’s only a matter of time before he realizes the truth.
Your speech at embassy was broadcasted that night and I’m sure everyone is beginning to wonder about what you said. We may be fugitives now but tomorrow we’ll be heroes. Our union is going to open a new path to a better future where all the nations are at peace with one another. So don’t despair, if anyone’s to be in despair it’s Omhigan. He’s the one in trouble and he will be defeated. Just know that, no matter what happens I’ll always be here by your side until the very end.

Arthur’s words melted my heart and cleared all my worries and doubts. He was right about everything, we’re not the only ones caught up in this and it will be only a matter of time before everyone realizes the truth. After hearing those mind elevating words, I gave Arthur a hug and k-ss afterwards.

Gwen ➡ Thanks babe. Your words really gave me hope.

Arthur ➡ That’s what we need to avoid falling into despair. So what now?

Gwen ➡ Well, let’s go along with your plan . It’s going to be tough but I’m sure we’ll manage.

Arthur ➡ Good, I’m glad that you’re convinced but before we do anything else..

Here in his secret lair, Omhigan shows his anger by thrashing his stuff and throwing it around. He yells and curses angrily over the set back of his plans and the death of his most trusted servant, £trigus.
After a while, Omhigan throws himself on the ground and begins to think about what happened at the Embassy hours ago. He grinded his teeth and blasted a huge shot of flame from his hands and then yells angrily one more time.
What angered him the most was the fact that his sworn enemy was closer than he thought and the fact the Gwen had told the entire world about his existence. Although nobody believed Gwen but in time they will and they’ve already seen the proof.

Omhigan ➡ DAMN IT! May the flame gods curse that B–tch! After ALL THIS TIME, I never knew the Gwen and Arthur were involved in all this. If I had known earlier, I would have gotten rid of them both. It seems that I have underestimated that red haired Jinx. She’s smarter than I thought and that Arthur did a good job by hiding his identity. If only they hadn’t escaped I would have ended them tonight.
I have to find them! I must FIND THEM!! As long as they’re alive, I’m in trouble. I have to find those two and end them but first I have to speed up my plans. It’s going to take some time but that’s all the time I need. The *BURNING STAR* shall soon be ready and when it does, I will re-write history. This time around there will be no one that can stop me.

4 months have passed since Gwen and Arthur eloped and things haven’t been the same as they used to be.
The Speech that Gwen gave that night at the embassy left everyone in a state of shock , although nobody wanted to ask questions but the look on their face proved that they were in doubt, even myself.
Throughout these months, I haven’t been myself entirely. I’ve been trying to find answers and truth about what Gwen said and so far I’ve found nothing.
A man hunt has been issued out by the A.S.I.A to track down both Gwen and Arthur and they also gave warrant to enforcement agencies to investigate and question all known associates of these two including me.
The Search for these two was carried out globally through various means but there was no trace of Gwen and Arthur, it was like they never existed at all.
Things haven’t been going well for me and among them was my relationsh¡p with Petra ; ever since she kicked me out, we haven’t seen or talked to each other and I haven’t made any effort to reach out to her due to the fact that I was so busy trying to figure out the truth behind my sister’s statement .
Another issue was Lavinia’s pregnancy which her father thinks or claims is mine, I haven’t said anything about it yet but this was the perfect excuse for me to break up with her. Things haven’t been the same at home either ever since Gwen disappeared. Mom and dad were barely talking to each other and the house looked kind of dull without Gwen around and it was obvious that she was the one that brings all the fun in the house.

One evening, I was in a store paying off for some items I bought when my eyes fell upon Petra who was at the far end of the store picking up some baby items. My mouth dropped when I saw that she has a baby bump.
My heart ached with jealousy and rage that I was on the verge of losing my mind. I tried not to believe what I was seeing but it was true ; Petra is pregnant but the big question was who was responsible for it. My first intention was to walk right up to her and ask who impregnated her but the idea sounded very stupid and immature.
After seeing Petra’s condition in that moment, I couldn’t feel my legs. I felt lost and weak all at the same time. To avoid any more tension, I paid for my stuff and left the store with a broken heart.
Minutes later at the mansion, I was in my room feeling very disturbed and angry at myself. It’s my fault for not reaching out to Petra all these months but her actions were a little bit cruel. If she wanted to end the relationsh¡p with me, she could have just told me but no! She had to go behind my back and get pregnant for some punk.

In that moment of emotional anguish, Jake bursted into my room unexpectedly giving me a fright.

Jake ➡ Ouch.

Xavier ➡ You b-stard! What’s the big idea?

Jake ➡ I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to barge in like that.

Xavier ➡ Well, take a hike kid. I don’t want to be disturbed.

Jake ➡ It’s from Gwen! She told me to give it to you.

I sat up on my bed and collected the piece of paper that Jake handed out to me. I read the content and saw it was nothing but an address to the public library.

Xavier ➡ Is that it?
.

Jake ➡ Yes. What do you think?
.

Xavier ➡ It’s an address to the library.
.

Jake ➡ So what are you waiting for?
.

Xavier ➡ This is nonsense. What’s in the library that will tickle my fancy?
.

Jake ➡ Seriously? I can’t believe you. Do you even know what’s there? Gwen gave you this address so that you can know the truth behind all this mystery and you’re here acting like a jerk.

Xavier ➡ HEY! Watch the way you talk to me you insect.
.

Jake ➡ So what? We all have taken Gwen for granted in the past. She alone found out about a long hidden secret that could threaten our existence and even when she tried to tell everyone nobody believed her. It’s time we gave her the respect she deserves and also help her out. All of the people she had to give this address to, she chose you so don’t disappoint her. The library closes by 6 so I suggest you get going before they close.

Jake ➡ I don’t know anything. I’m just a messenger and I’ve done my part. It’s time for you to do yours. If you want answers to this mysteries and the truth to our sister’s statement, the library is the place to get that answer. Ciao.
