Of course you can, I’m your big sister and you are my little brother. I’m grateful to mom for giving birth to you for me… I said and embraced him.
“Thanks sister” I seriously can’t wait to show you to my friends. I’ve got a beautiful sister to brag of… He said smiling
No problem dear, I can’t wait to meet your friends too. Go freshen up and come down to have your lunch. You must’ve been stressed out already… I said and he nodded
The maid came in and took him to his room to perform her normal duty.
“Uncle, I’ll be right back” he stopped climbing the stairs and said to Kendrick who nodded at his word.
Who is the boy’s father and who isn’t he around? I’ve never seen him around… I asked
He works abroad and comes home once in a while. He’s so eager to meet you. He said he’ll return in a month time, so you’ll meet him then… She replied
“Oh! You must’ve told him a lot about me” I said
Of course I have, I don’t keep things from my husband. He isn’t like your father who isn’t trustworthy… She said
Alright! So how did you know what was happening at my school and how did you know where I’m schooling? I inquired again
Why don’t you just stop being inquisitive? She said, just then we heard a knock on the door and Tessa came in afterward.
“Good afternoon ma’am”She greeted my mom. Hi babe! Hi Ken! She greeted us too and quickly take her eyes off us.
There’s no need for the answer, i already know the person behind it. Tessa, you did all that? How could you have done that without my permission? I asked
I’m sorry dear, I just wanted peace to reign. I hope you can forgive me for bringing reconciliation back to the family… She replied
Don’t mind her dear, all thanks to you. I promise to help you solve whatever problem you have too. I forbid you from working as a housemaid from this moment on. I’ll settle you before you leave…Mom said
How were you able to contact her? I asked again.
It seems you’ve forgotten that she’s the one that found the job vacancy for you, of course she must’ve gotten her phone number and residential address from it… Kendrick answered on her behalf.
“You’re really smart and wise Ken, thumbs up for that” she said and winked at him.
“Let’s go to the dinning room, the food has been served” Mom said and we oblige
🌺Author’s POV🌺
Stephanie rejected her mom’s offer of sponsoring her education. She told her she’s gonna struggle for herself and luckily, their school won the inter school quiz competition and she and Carlos were given scholarsh¡p that covers their education to their university level.
They had finished the second to the last stage of secondary school education and are now in their final year.
Both Stephanie and Kendrick’s family are doing fine as everyone are united once again. But the two friends decided not to live on their family’s money but to work for their own money.
Tessa has stopped working as a maid and now has a mini business of her own.
Stephanie also started a petty trading of snacks she makes and her business is really going on well.
The school new term has begun already but the three friends haven’t resumed, Kendrick brought up the idea of going for shopping. And they selected a day to go for it.
Ashley’s mom told her to find a suitable time to apologize to Stephanie and it should be done in the presence of other students.
Mom! I think she’s no longer coming to our school. She hasn’t been coming ever since we resumed this term and nine of her friends are in school either… She said to her mum when she returned from school oneday.
Don’t tell me that nonsense, you chose to be who I didn’t train you to be, I won’t be pleased with you if you don’t apologize to her… Her mom replied her.
Stephanie and Kendrick arrived at school the following day in his car and the students couldn’t help but stare at them
They ignored them and walked straight to their classroom.
I can’t believe she’s a rich woman’s daughter, she’s actually back in the school despite being renounced by Ashley’s mother… The students gossipped as they walked.
Stephanie!!! Ashley called and she stopped walking. “Excuse me do you mean mean me? Stephanie asked
“Yeah! I need to talk to you please”
She said in a calm voice.
Oh! Oh! What do you want? You’re trying to play some of your tricks in me again? Stephanie asked and she tutted.
“I’m sure she’s here to seek for forgiveness” Tessa said interfering.
“Forgiveness? OMG! I didn’t see that Coming” Stephanie said and laughed out loud.

🌺STEPHANIE’S POV🌺
Awwn! The Almighty Ashley wants to beg for forgiveness. I’m sure you were forced to come because I know it’s not your nature to apologize, you can never beg someone but rather would make someone beg you… I said
I’m sorry, please forgive me for everything I’ve done to you. I know I’ve wronged you but I want you to know I’ve realized my mistake… She apologized
You didn’t offend me, infact you made me learn a lot. Besides, I’m sure you didn’t come here on your own will and you wouldn’t have come if I’m still the poor Stephanie I was. You came because you know I’m from a richer family.
I just hope you learn your lessons and never feel too superior, no one is born according to their own will, you are just lucky to be born into a family that’s okay.
Leave, you didn’t offend me but made see more of what life is about. If you hadn’t bullied me back then, I might not have had the sense of starting up a business that’s gonna fetch me money. I can never be friends with someone who’s hurt me before, but trust me, I bear no grudge against you… I said to her and left her presence.
OMG!!! I can’t believe the school’s proud peac*ck has finally let go of her wings. Ashley begged Stephanie for real? The students murmured.
Stephanie’s case made the school lay the rule of no bullying in the school.
The students in the school apologized to Stephanie too and they made it known that no students should act or feel superior to other.
Stephanie and others graduated from secondary school months later.
Stephanie smiled as Kendrick reminded her she’s the one that made him change his bad habits while they were eating one afternoon.
They got admitted into the university of their choice at the same time and their parents united to throw a sendoff party for them before they leave for school.
I’m so happy we finally met with happiness at last. All Thanks to those that BULLIED us.
I wouldn’t have met my mother if I hadn’t searched for a job after Ashley made her mom throw me our of the house… Stephanie said to everyone as they ended the party.
Stephanie and Kendrick chose to study abroad while Tessa chose to study in the county.
Their parents hugged them as they saw the two friends off at the airport.
“I’ll miss you babe, if you ever have another best friend, imma pull a gun at your forehead” Tessa said too after hugging her.
Don’t worry, I’ll make sure she doesn’t.
She mustn’t have another male best friend apart from me too, else She’ll get punished by me.
I’ll make sure I keep an eye in her even though we’re not going to the same university…. Kendrick said
Whatever! Stephanie said and shrugged.
You need to accord me some respect, you’ll always be my Little sister while Angela is my littlest sis…Kendrick said and pinched her cheek when she shrugged at their word.
Brother Kendrick, since you’ll be schooling in the same country but different universities, make sure you pay my sister often visit.
I don’t want her to mingle with guys, I won’t be there to save her if they hurt her.
She mustn’t have a lover until she finish schooling there, okay? Little David said to Kendrick and they all laughed.
What do you know the word lover to be, you little boy? Stephanie said amidst laugher.
“You should leave now, that’s your batch they’re summoning” Kendrick mom said.
Awwn! We’ll miss you all, we’ll miss Nigeria and I’ll miss the days I was being BULLIED😣 Stephanie said as they embraced one another for the last time.
Wait! David said and they stopped walking… “When you get there, make sure you don’t get BULLIED” he said and they laughed again
