Evelyn’s POV
.
I was tending to my sister Betty and also waiting for my dad to return from wherever they went.
I’ve been thinking about the discussion I had with my dad, it seems he’s hiding something, there’s something he’s not telling us.
What could they be hiding?
What are they keeping from us?
What’s about this Destry boy?
What kind of person is he?…..what kind of boy will consume a certain amount of poison and act as if nothing happen?.
We need to get out of this island as soon as possible, we need to find a way…..we don’t know what else he got under his sleeve.

” Is everything alright sis?” Sarah asked I guess she noticed my mood.
” Yeah…..yeah….. I’m just worried about Betty” I replied.
” How is she feeling?” She asked.
” Not good, we need to get off this island as soon as possible” I said.
” But how?…..Dad said they are not functioning today…..how else are we supposed to get a boat?” Eva asked.
” We will have to wait till tomorrow before we can get off this Island” I replied.
” Will she be okay?….will she be alright?” Sophie asked.
” We just have to keep her comfortable till tomorrow morning then we can get another boat” I replied.
” But for now….. Please try your best to avoid Destry at all cost….please” I said.
” Yes sister” they replied then I saw my mom descending from the stairs.
” Good morning Mom” Anna greeted.
” Heyy honey, how is your sister?” She asked.
” She’s still unconscious” Emma replied.
” But why are we still here?……we are supposed to be on the other side by now……Betty needs hospital” mom said.
Oh God, she doesn’t even know what we are dealing with;
” Mom, the boat has been Destroyed, it’s wrecked completely” Sarah informed.
” What?” She said surprised.
” How?…wha…how is that even possible?….who would do such an evil thing” she asked.
” Who do you think?…..who else if not your evil son” I said glaring at her.
” Please, Evelyn….. let’s not start again this Early morning….. let’s end this, okay?….. please” she said.
Imagine she’s still defending him.
” If not your son mom, then who will do this?” I asked.
” Like I said yesterday, there’s someone else on this island, someone who doesn’t want us to leave” mom said.
” STOP IT MOM, STOP IT” I shouted at her.
” He’s the one mom, just believe me this one time,….. he’s been fooling you all this years” I said.
” Is there something you’re not telling me Evelyn, cause I won’t have you shouting at me, I’m still your mother” she said.
” Fine Mom, you want to know right?….how about I tell you this……Your darling son is a murderer” I stated and I heard my sisters gasped.
” Evelyn?” Sarah whispered.
” What!…..are you crazy?” Mom said angrily.
” No Mom, I’m not…….Dad received a call this morning…there are eye-witness confirming your son is the last seen with the two death at the school”
” Also one of his victims at school just gain consciousness and the name she mentioned is DESTRY” I said.
” No….. you’re lying, you’re… you’re wrong….. you’re making this all up” Mom said not believing any of what I said.
” Seriously Mom, you know this is true but you don’t want to believe it” I said.
” You keep talking about my son like he’s some kind of Lucifer” mom said shedding tears.
” THAT’S BECAUSE HE IS LUCIFER” I shouted.
” Where is Destry?…..where is he now?…. he’s not in this room” mom asked.
” He and dad went out some minutes ago” Sarah answered.
” But, you said your dad knew about this, why is he going out with him?…where did he take him?” Mom asked.
” I don’t know…..he didn’t tell me” I replied then I heard Betty gro-ning in discomfort.
” Heyy baby, how are you feeling?” I asked.
” My…my head hu..rts, Pain all….over my…body” she said weakly.
” So sorry, don’t worry you will be fine……Everything will be fine okay, just lay down” I said.
” O..okay” she replied.
” Betty dear, can you tell us who did this to you?” Mom asked.
” It’s..D..Destry” she answered and my mom eyes bulged out in shock.
” No, uh…..Are you sure it’s him you saw?” Mom asked which I find stupid.
” Momm……are you serious at all?, All evidence is pointing at him and you’re still defending him?” I said in disbelief.
” It’s him Mom, It’s him” betty replied.
” OhmyGod…..No No….I..I have to call your father….I need to call your father” mom said bringing out her phone.
She dialled dad’s line and it started ringing but no one answered, Mom redialled it then it got answered.
📞 ” Honey….. Destry is n……”
📞 ” Hello Mom” Destry replied.
📞 ” Heyy Destry, wh…what are you doing with your father’s phone?” Mom asked.
📞 ” Mommy, Dad hurt me…..Daddy is bad” he replied.
📞 ” wh..wha…what a.are you talking about?…. where’s your daddy?” Mom said nervously.
📞 ” Daddy is gone” he said.
📞 ” What do you mean by that?…I said give the phone to your father” Mom said.
📞 ” I’m coming back…. I’ll tell you everything” he said.
📞 ” Hello, Hello …. hello” mom said continuously but it’s seems he already hung up.

” Mom, what did he mean by dad is gone?” Sarah asked.
” I…I …I don’t know….I don’t know” mom replied nervously.
” Mom, what has he done Dad?” I said angrily.
” I…I don’t know, I don’t know…I don’t know” mom said.
” Stop saying you don’t know Mom,….your son just said Dad is gone and you said you know what that means?”
” There’s something about Destry you’re holding out from us, there’s something telling us about him” I added.
” I’m so..oorry…. I’m so sorry….it’s my fault….this is all my fault……I caused all of these” mom said crying.
” What do you mean mom?….what are you talking about?”….what did you do?” I asked.
” Seven years ago, I met with a Professor” she said which got me confused.
” A professor?…..you mean a school professor?” I asked.
” No, a spiritual Advocate” she answered and I was surprised.
” A spiritual Advocate?……what for?” I asked.
” I’ll tell you everything…. I’ll tell you everything” Mom said then she started narrating.

{FLASBACK—–SEVEN YEARS AGO}

They called him professor, Someone recommend the man to me and I went to him to ask for help.
” What do you want child?” The professor asked.
” I gave birth to 9 children and all of them are girls…..why can’t I have a male child?” I asked.
” You want a male child?….hold on” he said then he did his things with the spirit.
” My child….. you’re not destined to have a male child” the man said.
” But why?…. what’s my crime?…..I don’t understand why?” I asked curiously.
” That’s what was destined for you” the Prof said.
” But why?….. I’ve always wanted a male child since I was young, please…. there’s something you can do for me” I enquired.
” Yes there is, if you can do it” he said and I was really happy.
” I’ll do anything….. I’ll do anything” I replied then a took something from one of the small port and handed it to me.
” Take this and eat it” he said then it turned out to be a meat….a fried meat.
I collected the meat from him and ate it all immediately without any second thought.
” That’s good…..the job is done” he said and I was confused.
” That’s it….. Just the meat?…. that’s all?” I asked surprised and he laughed.
” That’s no ordinary meat my child, but listen you must copulate with your husband today” he warned.
” Okay…. that’s not a problem” I replied.
” It must be today and it mustn’t exceed today” he warned again.
” I’ve heard you…… that’s not going to be a problem” I replied.
” Good, Now listen to what I’m going to tell you now…..and take heed” he cautioned.
” You must not let any harm come to him, you must take care of him at all cost” he said.
” Prof, I told you I need a son badly you think I’m going to let him suffer?….. That’s not ever going to happen” I said.
” Listen very well, whatever he wants you must give him, you must do everything he wants…..”
“…….you must protect him at all cost…you must not get him angry” he said.
” Prof, I told you none of that will happen” I said.
” You must shower him love at all cost, he must not feel neglected……you should love him more than anything”
” I’m saying this because if you cause him any harm or make him suffer in any form, or deny him of his request”
” it’s going to end bad……..IT’S GOING TO BE A DISASTER” Prof said and my heart skipped.
” What do you mean by that?” I asked.
” A lot of bad things will happen to your family…..your wh0le family will be in trouble including you” he said.
” OhGod, uhm….can I withdraw now?…. can I stop all this procedure now?” I asked nervously.
” The Job is done already……It has started already…….whether you like it or not you have to do it” he said.
” Uh…. Okay…okay, I can do it….I should be able to” I replied.
” Good, and also about the name, he……”
” Oh you don’t have to worry about that…..I have a couple of names to give him” I interrupted.
” You don’t get it…….if you don’t call him by his real name you will get him angry and you don’t want that” Prof said.
” Fine…… what is the name?” I asked.
” DESTRY”
