It was early Thursday morning and Roland was preparing for school when his phone rang and he quickly checked and it was Adriana.
 
Adriana: hello Roland.
 
Roland: hello.
 
Adriana: how are u and how was your night?
 
Roland: very nice thank you. And you?
 
Adriana:very good. How is your brother too?
 
Roland: he is also good. i’m running late for school so can we talk later?
 
Adriana: yea sure. But please extend my greetings to your brother for me.
 
Roland: Ok i will, bye.
 
He went to his brother’s room to deliver the message.
 
Roland:hey Ryan whats up?
 
Ryan: cool. ypu?
 
Roland: good. Adriana extends her greetings to you.
 
Ryan: where did you see her?
 
Roland: she just called me
 
Ryan: what, and how did she get your number?
 
Roland: bro, later am late for class
 
Ryan was a little bit confused about “how his brother got her number. Well he said later so i will wait for him”. he said
 
Adriana was preparing that same week to go back to school. As she was parking her things Roland called
 
Roland : Hey Adriana am on break and just calling to check on you.
 
Adriana: oh that’s so nice of of you. You are so caring. Thank you. But Roland can you do me a favour? Roland: yes anything, just mention it
 
Adriana: can you please give me your brother’s number, i want to call him?
 
Roland: why not, I was expecting you to ask yesterday. I will send it to you right away. He hanged up and sent it to her. She waited for hours and then decided to call the number.
 
Receiver: hello who is this please?
 
Adriana: please am sorry it’s a wrong line.
 
Receiver: ok .
 
She said sorry because a lady picked the call. She quickly called Roland to tell him.
 
Adriana:Roland you gave me a wrong number
 
Roland: no that’s my brothers number. Why did a lady picked the call?
 
Adriana: yes
 
Roland:oh that’s his PA. Sorry I should have told you. My brother is the General manager of Ayensu group of companies. He manages all my Dad’s companies. he is a big boy ooo.
 
Adriana: oh nice then will call him again. Thank you. But she changed her mind not to call again.
 
Later in the night, Ryan came home. As soon as Roland saw him, he followed him to his room.
 
“Bro did she call you?
 
“Did Who call? Ryan asked
 
“Ah didn’t Adriana call you today?
 
“Me? Then it’s a mistake. She doesn’t even have my number. And I don’t have any business with her”
 
“Bro she took your number from me. I think she is in love with you”
 
“Herrr stop those your things ooo. She is in love with who? He said it with a smile on his face.
 
Roland suggested he should call her rather. So he dropped her number down
 
” Let me finish my bath and call her”
 
“Ok, you better call her ooooo
He dropped her number and Ryan said let me finish with my bath and call her.
 
After he finished with his bath, he went for supper with the family. When he was done eating, he went straight to his room to make the call. He was afraid calling at the first time. But he got the zeal and confidence and then called her.
 
Back at Adriana’s house. Her phone was ringing. When she looked at it, her heart jumped into her stomach. She didn’t know what to do. She was shivering as if she had fever.
 
Ryan called for several times but she didn’t picked any of the calls. He then stopped calling.
 
Adriana was thinking what to do next. She decided to call back. So she called and Ryan answered the call very fast.
 
Ryan: hello
 
Adriana: hello. Please am i speaking with Ryan?
 
Ryan: yes and may I know the person speaking please? Because this number called me today at the office.
 
Adriana: Errrmmm am your secret admirer.
 
Ryan: oh is that so? Thank you so much
 
Adriana: you are welcome.
 
Ryan pretended as if he doesn’t know the person. Their conversation was getting interested.
 
Ryan : you have a nice voice and I think you are beautiful as your voice.
 
Adriana: is that so? Because when it comes to voice I will say you are the best. They all laughed. Ryan pretended again to ask her name
 
Ryan: since we are friends now may I know your name please?
 
Adriana: hahahaahaha
 
Ryan: why are you laughing?
 
Adriana: nothing dear. Am Adriana Mr Willington’s daughter.
 
Ryan: OMG. Am short of words. Am I really talking with Adriana?
 
Adriana : yes and am i also really talking to Ryan? It seems these two were getting well
 
Adriana told Ryan that she will be going back to UK the following Monday. Ryan said ok. Then can we meet over the weekend to have more talks? He asked
 
She replied loudly “oh yes. Find a place and let me know the time”
 
Ryan : ok I will text you with the venue and the time. He hanged up immediately and said yes.
 
In due time Adriana received a text from Ryan. It was a quite place where classic people meet. She didn’t know the place since she was not use to Ghana. But that wasn’t a problem for her because she would definitely get the directions to that place.
The text was written, Golden Lodge Hotel 25 Tay Berry Street East Legon. Saturday 5pm.
 
The next morning which was Friday, Ryan called her early in the morning to greet her.
 
Ryan ; Hello miss Adriana, how are you today? hope you are doing well?
 
Adriana ; Am doing great Mr Ryan. And hope you are fine as well?
 
Ryan: I am preparing for work and decided to call to say hello.
 
Adriana : thank you very much for caring about me. Have a nice day sir.
 
Ryan laughed and said thank you and same to you madam.
 
During lunch time later that day Adriana was in her house thinking of Ryan so she called at his office to check on him. She called and had a slight conversation with him. As soon as they finished, Ryan said to himself, am in love with her, not knowing he didn’t end the call so Adriana heard it and she ended the call.
 
She became so happy that she couldn’t control her joy.
After Ryan closed from work, he called his brother to his room to tell him about their date.
 
Ryan ; Roland I have a date with Adriana tomorrow. Roland was like, wow bro you have made it now. They all laughed and made fun of themselves.
 
Ryan asked Roland how he got to know her and how he got her number. Roland said is Kelvin who showed her to me at the programme. And she was exactly how you described to me. So I made that quick move for my big brother. Hahahahahahahaha. Roland left his brothers room with smiles.
 
On saturday morning, everything was normal as usual. R2 normally goes to play tennis in the morning. So Roland invited Adriana to come and play with them. Ryan didn’t know anything about that. He was surprise to see Adriana at the tennis court.
 
He asked her if she likes the game but she said, not really. But I want to learn since you are a player.
 
Ryan: hmmmm okay I hear. So let’s get started.
