I gasp in shock on hearing what amber ,said to her parents about me.

I wanted to keep it a secret about my kidney disease but now she had split everything out to her parents.

Suzette ,what amber just said now, is it true that you have kidney disease huh?

Yes aunt, what amber said is true .

I said to her as tears trickled down from my eyes down to my Cheek’s.

What, the f-ck o my gosh Suzette, you are such a bad luck, were on earth do you expect us to get the money for your treatment from.

Aunty, I don’t want to be a burned to you, don’t worry about me I will be fine.

Hey you Girl, I wasn’t even worried, all I’m worried about is that if you die now, who would be doing all the householdchores .

Like an arrow prcied on the chest, aunty Tasha’s last statement prciced,threw my heart.

I felt shattered, oh Suzette you must be foolish to think that she will care about you.

The only reason why she is still keeping me here is because of the house chores.

I looked at her for a while , before walking out of them in anger.

“Suzette! Suzette! Get back here!” Aunt shouted, advancing towards me.

“Let her be, she is deaf!” Uncle said and another sword pierced my heart, I ran into my room and cried my eyes out.

🍃Amber’s POV🍃

I love the way things are going, since Suzette is becoming stubborn, I might as well get her into troûble alot.

I watched as mum left Suzette and came back to sit with us.

“What do we do now that she has kidney disease?” My mum asked.

“We have to make sure she signs those doc-ments before she dies.” Dad said and I smiled.

That means, I will finally become the heiress of all these wealth. Men! I can’t wait for her death.

“You’re right but if she dies now, who will do the house chores?” Mum asked.

“We can always hire another maid mum, stop bothering yourself.” I said.

“That’s actually right then there’s nothing to worry about. What else did the nurse say Amber?” Mum asked.

“She said that Suzette should eat adequate food so her condition won’t get worse.” I answered.

“So, what we need to do is to make her eat food that won’t be good for her health and it will worsen and kill her.” Mum said.

“Yes dear, I will call her to sign the doc-ments tomorrow again, if she refuses, I will beat the living daylight out of her.” Dad said.

“Yes dad, beat her till she passes out. She is becoming too stubborn these days.” I said..

“Yeah, now go take a shower and make her do whatever you want.” Mum said.

“Yay!” I scre-med and ran upstairs.

I passed by her room, her door was left open and she was crying.

Awwn! So pathetic!

She shouldn’t cry any more, death will pay her a visit soon anyway.

I rolled my eyes and entered the room.

“Get your bloody ass off that bed and come prepare my bath.” I ordered and she stood up, wiping her face with the back of her hands.

“Can you tell me what I’ve done to deserve such treatment from you and your parents?” She asked.

“The only thing you’ve done to us is being a wretched and poor house rat.” I spat and she smiled.

I know that kind of smile too well, it is a smile of pain. I was trying really hærd to suppress my laughter now.

She said nothing and went to do as I told her. I followed her to the room and made her do everything. After taking my bath and dressing up, I made her cook dinner and told her to fetch a bit for my parents then bring the pot to my room because I want her to watch me eat while she’s dying in hunger.

Gosh! I’m really going to miss her pathetic face when she dies.

I woke up in the morning, feeling energetic and saw Suzette sleeping on the floor in my room. I had instructed her to watch me while I’m sleeping and the fool fell asleep.

I kicked her stomach and she jerked up, holding the affected place.

“Go prepare my bath!” I ordered.

She struggled to stand up and entered the bathroom while I took off my clothes. I repeated same process yesterday, giving her nothing to eat while she watched me eat.

“Can’t I take even if it’s one spoon, I’m really hungry. I haven’t eaten since yesterday morning.” She said and I glared at her with contempt.

“If you open that filthy mouth of yours to spur out rubbish to me again, I’mma kill you.” I threatened and she kept quiet.

When I was done eating, I stood up and picked my handbag.

“I’m off to school and I can’t wait for you, so when you’re done bathing your pathetic self, you can use your pathetic leg to trek to school.” I said and stepped out leaving her behind.

🌟Suzette’s POV🌟

I’ve never seen any human as wicked as this. No problem, let me wait till I regain my memories first and if I regain my memories and I find out they’ve been lying to me, I swear, I won’t spare any of them.

I dragged myself to my room, tears threatened to fall but I wiped them. No Suzette, you have to stay strong. I comforted myself, ignoring the pain I was passing through in my stomach coupled with the hunger.

I took my bath, wore my clothes and rushed out of the house ignoring Aunt Tasha who was busy yelling my name.

“F-ck you all!” I yelled and opened the gate then trekked to school.

I was still walking on the road when a car stopped beside me, I looked closer and saw Trevor at the backseat. He gestured for me to enter which I quickly obeyed.

“Good morning.” I greeted immediately I entered and closed the car door.

“Morning, how was your night?” He asked, observing me.

“My night was manageable, why are you looking at me like that?” I asked.

“Sorry, just checking if you’re alright.” He said and I smiled sadly.

“I’ll be fine.” I said.

“Have you eaten?” He asked and my stomach rumbled as if answering his question. “I guess No.” He said.

I nodded affirmatively.

He snapped his fingers and his driver stopped at a big restaurant.

“You really don’t have to, I can manage besides we are late for school.” I said even though I was wishing to stop and eat.

“You’re eating whether you like it or not.” He said and led me out of the car.

We got a table and sat down then we were handed a menu.

“Choose whatever you want to eat.” He asked.

“I think I’ll go for pasta and meatballs.” I’ve always wished to eat those.

“Okay.” He smiled and the waiter left without taking his own order.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” I asked him.

“I’ve already eaten this morning.” He said.

“Okay.”

The waiter arrived with a plate of pasta and meatballs, my mouth started watering immediately. I could hear angels singing hallelujah already.

I took the plate and started devouring the food immediately, eating like my life depended on it. May God bless Trevor, he’s a life saver.

“Hey, take it easy.” He chuckled.

I smiled but didn’t take it easy, he ordered more for me and I ate almost up to 4 plates before cleaning my mouth and rubbing my stomach. This is the best food I’ve eaten in my life.

“Thank you so much!” I said to Trevor.

“You’re welcome.” He smiled and paid for the ones I ate before ordering two take aways for me again.

This is your lucky day Suzette!

We returned to the car and the chauffeur took us to school.

I thanked him again before heading to class.

Things went smoothly today, I guess it’s because of the classroom project everyone was busy on. Kingsley didn’t come to school today again, I’m really worried. At least I will get to see him today, I can’t believe this but I miss him alot.

After school, Amber left without me as always. Lucas took me to the hospital and the doctor confirmed what the nurse had told us. He advised me to eat healthy and don’t over work myself. He said I should rest frequently then gave me some drugs which Lucas paid for.

When we got out of the hospital, I thanked him and he hugged me as a reply. This guy was really something else, but I like his vibes. Always cool with everybody except Amber and Pearl of course.

I asked him to drive me to Kingsley’s house and he did. We got there and he dropped me at the gate before waving goodbye.

I glanced at the house, WOW, is this a hotel, suite, palace or a mansion. It was beautiful.

I knocked at the gate and informed the security that I was his classmate. The security took me to the door and I ringed the door bell. I couldn’t wait to see him!

💧Kingsley’s POV💧

I decided not to go to school today because I didn’t feel like. There was no need thinking my classmates would care to see me. Besides, they’ve always ignored me and the only person who had been nice to me is Suzette.

I really missed her alot!

Her beauty always brightens up my day, I wish I could see her today, it would make me so happy and I would resume school tomorrow.

I sighed and dropped the laptop I was using before putting on casual clothes. I wanna go get some fresh air at the skate park. I took my skateboard and hurried to the living room then I heard the door bell ring.

Who could that be by this time?

I approached the door and opened it and oh my gosh! It’s Suzette!

My jaw dropped as she smiled at me cutely, looking more beautiful than ever.

“I think I’m dreaming or maybe I’m hallucinating!”

I closed the door then opened it slowly but she was still there.

“You’re not dreaming or hallucinating, it’s me. Suzette!” She smiled.

Before I could talk, she ran into my arms and hugged me tight, shocking me and the security guard.

If this is a dream, I never want to wake up!

I was contemplating on whether to hug her back or not. Whatever! I hugged her back and what she said next shocked me to the bones.
