🍂 Liam’s POV 🍂
I felt a cold chill go through my body and I quickly wake up and looked around
Am in the woods again
I sighed
Am used to it now, this all started 22 years ago when I was just 7, I sleep at home but I wake up in the West Haven’s wood
Am 29 now and nothing has changed, I still wake up in the woods whenever I sleep
At least am prepared for it now and I always wear clothes to sleep
I walked back home and slumped on the chair
What’s the point of rushing, am definitely gonna be late for work again

“Liam you are late again” Lucas said as I walked into the library
“Just let me be Lucas, I really can’t endure your nagging this morning” I said as I walked to the counter and sat down
Lucas has always been a nagging old man
“You are the librarian Liam, you are supposed to be here before anyone comes” he said
“But nobody comes!” I yelled “this library is old Lucas, all it has is old history books and nobody is interested in that anymore, you should just close it up”
“I ain’t closing anything up, this library is West Haven’s oldest library Liam and since it has been passed down to me, I ain’t closing it up so you better shut your mouth and do your f-cking job well!” Lucas yelled
“You know what, I can’t take this anymore, I quit” I said standing up
“What?!” He asked surprised
“You heard me right, I quit, you can stay here forever with your damn old library but I quit” I said and walked out of the library
I walked back home and laid on the bed
Everything in my life is going wrong
I stood up and went to the kitchen, I made myself a cup of tea and came back and sat on the chair
I turned on the TV and began watching the a movie
Even if everything is going wrong, I mustn’t wallow in self pity
Minutes later, the front door opened and I was shocked at who I saw
“Charlie!”
He’s my uncle
“Liam Walker, you’ve grown so much” he said as he hugged me and sat on the chair
“You’ve grown old Charlie” I said
“Were you expecting me to grow younger before” he said and I smiled
“It’s been like 17 years since I last saw you, you just left West Haven without any sentiment, you left us” I said as the memories came back
Charlie had been my favorite uncle and his sudden departure was really hurting
“Am sorry Liam, I was young and naive then, I wanted to travel and enjoy the world but now I realize that your place is always where your families are and that’s where you can be happy the most” he said as he took my cup of tea and dranked it
“Well, you should probably go back then, your families aren’t here, they are all dead, Dad, Mom, Uncle John everyone is dead”
“I know, but you’re still here, I came back for you” he said
“I was here and you left seeking greener pastures and now you want me to believe you came back for me?”
“Yes” he said with a nod
“You should leave then, when everyone was slowly dieing and I needed you the most you were no where to be seen, everyone’s gone now and I’ve grown up and I don’t need you anymore so just leave” I said as I stood up and was about walking to my room
But I stopped
“I know you Charlie, what’s your real reason for coming back?” I asked
“I came to help you Liam” he said
“Help me with what?” I asked
“I had a vision Liam” he said
Here it comes again; I thought with a sigh
“I don’t believe in that shit” I said
“Why can’t you believe in it, you are from a family of the greatest seers and fortune tellers in the history of West Haven, the Walker family is gifted why don’t you believe that” Charlie said raising his voice
“If we are so powerful and gifted why hasn’t any kind of powers showed in me like you guys or am I destined to live in this mess for the rest of my life!” I yelled
“You still wake up in the woods don’t you?” He asked calmly
“I don’t want to talk about that” I said
“That woods is calling to you Liam, something there is calling to you, don’t you feel it?” He asked
“I feel nothing” I said
“You need to go to that woods and find out what’s calling you Liam, you have to go, it’s your destiny”
“I ain’t going anywhere”
“You shouldn’t be running from your destiny Liam” he said
“Says someone that left his family for his own selfish reasons” I said and he sighed
“You are special Liam, we all knew that from the moment you were born” he said calmly
“Yeah, I’ve heard the story, a flood happened on the day I was born, don’t you get it now Charlie, that only shows am Cursed”
“The flood didn’t just happen Liam, West Haven was in drought for years but the moment you were born, it started raining, it rained so much that it caused a flood and it was your Dad that read the meaning to it that day, you are special and blessed but the moment you disregard your powers, the blessing turns to a Curse” Charlie said
“But I have no powers!!” I yelled
“I believe you do, you just haven’t found it and I know everything will unravel if you go to that woods, don’t you want to know why you always wake up there?” he asked
“It’s because am Cursed” I replied and starting walking to my room
“You are going to die Liam” he said and I stopped walking
“You are going to die the moment you turn 30 unless you you go to that woods, something or someone is calling for you there and you have to answer it” Charlie said “that was the vision I had”
I kept quiet and walked to my room
I layed on the bed facing the ceiling
Am I really gonna die?
Am I Blessed or Cursed?
I sighed and close my eyes
“My life is a mess” I said as I dozed off

“Daphne Hills!!!” I yelled as I woke up
I looked around
“Not again!” I said
Am in the woods again
I slowly stood up and walked out of the woods
“Who the hell is Daphne Hills” I said as I walked back home
