Chapter Twelve:

Zoe

“Come little mouse, let’s head back ” watching Ares stand he turn around and continue walking like he is running away from me

” Ares!!” Standing up I fasten my steps to catch up with him ” are you running away from me ” I watch him shove his hands into his pockets and stop, the moment I caught up with him, his gaze met mine

” why will I run from you little mouse ” he frown starring down at me while I flash him a bright smile ” I thought you were getting shy all of a sudden ”

” come little mouse…. Its getting late, I hate staying out like this when the night is near ” he grab my hands and drag me with him

” what about may ” I asked trying to match up with his speed ” she is with Zar which means she is safe ” approaching his car I watch him nod at Charles

” aren’t you coming??” I asked and watch him run his hands through his hair, what is he thinking

” am going to be gone for awhile little mouse, just go ahead of me ” he lean down ” besides I promised to show you the stars tonight, I will be gone for only an hour” nodding I entered the car

Covering my face with my hands I exhale and inhale, why did I tell him that, what is wrong with me. Telling him I love him is just like pushing him away, he doesn’t like such affection

” why did I say that ” slapping my cheek I just don’t know what to do anymore, f-ck I did mess up big time

” are you okay miss Zoe ” Charles muttered, his voice fill with worry that is weird, why will he be worried and for me?

” is nothing Charles…looks like I said something to Ares that I shouldn’t have ”

” that is something you should be worried about ”

” not helping Charles ” I gro-n and watch him chuckle for the first time and I hate to admit but I feel kind of okay after talking to him

Arriving in the mansion I step off the car, robbing my hands on my bare arms before heading in,side the house, I hurried to my room, change into my pajamas then run downstairs to wait for Ares

He did say he want to show me the stars, I should at least wait for him right, robbing my hands together I sit still, minutes pass, hours pass before I suddenly close my eyes and move to wonderland

The sound of the door woke me up, robbing my eyes I stare at Ares, he looked strange ” Ares??” Standing up I hurried towards him but he pushed me away

” stay away ” his fangs are out and his eyes are bloody red ” Charles!!! The cup!!” He yell falling to his knees holding his heart and within minutes Charles run towards him with a cup fill with red wine

I watch Ares snatch it and gulp all of it down, he throw the cup away ” I need fresh blood, this isn’t adding up” his voice was getting deeper and when his gaze met mine I step back without noticing

My hands covering my mouth while I step back, I saw hurt in his eyes but was quickly for replaced with a hunger, hunger for blood ” a maid I haven’t notice before ran towards him and title her neck

” drain me master ” she muttered and in the time I watch Ares sink his teeth into her skin, she yell but within seconds it turn to mo-n, doesn’t it hurt

Ares hands cup her tits while he s-ck blood out of her body, pulling out I watch him k-ss her, k-ss her deeply before piercing her skin once again and this time deeply

Letting go of her, I watch her bow down her head before staggering away from him, Ares stand to his feet, his eyes eyes back to normal but they was trace of blood around his mouth ” are you scared of me little mouse ” I couldn’t speak it felt like I was paralyzed ” that right Zoe…that’s what you should feel towards me fear nothing more ” I watch him turn around and walk out of the house

What just happened

I thought Ares was a wizard and now vampire, he live by s-cking human blood ” miss Zoe” I don’t even know what am feeling right now, am I scared??

” Miss Zoe!!!” Someone yell making her come back to reality ” are you okay ” starring at Xar I breath out just realizing I was holding my breath. Nodding I watch Xar closely ” do you love Ares ” I didn’t answer him ” if you do Zoe don’t do scared of him, Ares may have been an experiment but he has emotions Zoe, he hates when someone close to him are scared” Xar purred ” his pets are meant to give him blood, if you know you can’t handle him I suggest you go away, stay away from him. I do not wish to see my friend sad” I watch Xar move upstairs while I remain where I was

Why was I scared?

I know Ares won’t do something to harm me, if he need blood I will give it to him, I do know I was shocked earlier but before I decided to be his pet I knew it won’t be easy and I also know I don’t want him choosing someone else as his pet

I saw hurt in his eyes and he step back, am so Stupid, why on earth did I do that. Opening the door I stare at the dark night, tears swelling in my eyes, am so stupid, incredibly stupid

Sitting down outside I hug my knees to my self determined to wait outside till he show up

The intensity of the wind increased, a storm seem to be forming in the sky, its dangerous for him to be out there right now, thunder strikes and droplet of rain touch my skin and before I knew what was happening a heavy rain started

Exhaling I knew I won’t get up until Ares is back, if he is in the rain I can do that too. I have decided to love this cold hearted man even if he doesn’t feel the same and to do that I have to embrace his real form, besides he haven’t shown me the stars yet

Chapter Thirteen:

Zoe

Thunder strikes and the intensity of the rain didn’t reduce, shivering I rob my hands on my arm as the cold wind swirl around my body, why haven’t Ares come back yet

Is something happening to him

Is the blood not enough for him?

My worry increased as the time pass by, bending my head I coughed then close my eyes, he won’t stay out forever, he will come back to me

” Zoe??” Lifting my head I rise to my feet and watch Ares move closer, his hair and clothes w-t ” what are you doing in the rain…you might fall sick” he approach and I couldn’t take my eyes off his face

” I was worried” I simply said, he inched one of his brows high ” I thought something bad is happening since you were taking your time out there ”

He chuckle, more like a mock laugh not reaching his eyes ” something happen to me?? Haven’t you see my true form earlier, you ran away from me ” I shook my head as tears flow down

” I was shocked, I can never run away from you” I said moving closer to him, it seems like the rain slowed down deciding to listen to my explanation too ” I was shocked Ares, that’s it, I will never be scared of you ” lifting my hands I touch his face ” I love you ” rising my feet I wrap my hands around his neck and k-ssed him

He didn’t respond nor did he move, I took my time, making the k-ss slow just like how he did the second time, biting his lower lip he open his mouth and I dive my tongue to meet his

In no time he open my room door, close his and move to the bathroom, why is he going to the bathroom?? Opening the door I free myself from his body ” let’s shower together” the moment it left his mouth I step back, my face has obviously turn pure red

“Hmmmm” he answered as I rob the soap in the sponge before robbing his body, I tried scratching the nose of the skull to see if it will fall out but nothing happened, shaking that away I move closer to him and wash his back properly before turning on the warm shower to wash the soap off, he turn around and I begin washing his chest ” aren’t you a little bit shy…to let me bath you like a baby ” he inch his brows higher and chuckle

” why will I be shy little mouse, I have a perfect body ” he grab the sponge from my hands ” turn around little mouse, let me show you how good it feels to let someone take care of you ”

I really did see the stars tonight
