Chapter Four :
Zoe
The door opened and we step in, my eyes roam around the place and my nerves was starting to kick in, each men took their seats while the pets knee beside them and their head bend low ” what are we doing here” I stare at Mr silver and Flinch
He looked like an entire person, his eyes filled with anger, rage, coldness and some other emotions I can’t read, his body emitted coldness and am left wondering why ” shh little mouse ” his eyes squinted as he glared down at me making me remember the rules of not talking
Averting my gaze back to the surrounding, it looked like a ritual was about to be perform, the chairs in circle, the place fill with silence
Mr silver sit down while I knee beside him, feeling like a mouse all of a sudden, is this why they call us pets?? To behave like one, my head didn’t lower for any reason as my eyes took in everything happening
Why are they quiet?
Is this some kind of spell?
What is Mr silver doing here?
I really need to know his name
Why haven’t I thought of that
Shaking my head, I felt silvers hands fall on them and he forcefully lower my head ” stay low little mouse ” a bell ring and I swallow deeply
” the ceremony shall begin, all the knights feat on your pet” I couldn’t move, I tried moving but it wasn’t working, what is happening
I heard scre-ms and cries from different angle, what was happening, are the girls being tortured, eaten?. Fear follow right from my head to my toe, I was shivering inwardly, what is going to happen to me
” that should be enough” Mr silver voice filled the wh0le place, only the coldness could send shivers down a persons spines
” Mr hell, you didn’t touch your pet ” a man voice echo in the room followed by few murmurs
” my little mouse happen to be unripe and when I feast I wish to enjoy all the delicacies” is he planning to eat me? Is that what they do to pets ” they ball should be fill with blood splitting around, you all are expected to have enough power from all that blood draining you did. The descendants of the moon are around here, I want them all dead”
” yes sire ” trying to lift my head, I felt relieve but the blood all over the place did wonders to my head and mind, I have always have a phobia for blood, I was getting dizzy
” still wish to be my pet, little mouse??” I met his gaze, his mask already taken off but all I could think of was may, if blood splitting was going to take place I need to keep her safe
” may…..my friend ” I was losing my sight, I tried standing but stumble into his arms ” ball…my friend ” I had no idea what I was muttering anymore ” may is in the ball….help her ” was my last statement before passing out in his arms
Ares
Losing my tie I sigh deeply before sitting on the chair beside the bed, I lazily drop my head into my hands and stare at the little mouse, what do this little creature see in me that she is so determined to stay close to me
Being my pet
Who will make someone like her a pet, a drinking vessel for vampires or half breed like myself ” Ice cream” she muttered and a smile cured in my l-ips
Such innocence isn’t what I wish to taint or others to taint either, I was losing my patience with this little mouse, how did she get an invitation to a ball that invitations was sent only to descendants
How did she know I will be there?? What made her step into such place, if I haven’t showed up she and her friend might have been killed
What is wrong with this little mouse
She swiftly sit up ” may??” I blink at her fastnesses and the way her hair fall off, my eyes w¡den at that and I straighten my head
She has blue eyes and red hair. Fascinating, they is more to this little mouse than I know of ” where is may ” she asked, worry fill in her eyes, I didn’t smile nor did I frown
” she is safe, with a friend of mine ” I watch her breath out a sigh of relieve ” tell me little mouse, why is your hair red ” her hands quickly lift and touch her hair, worry return in those beautiful eyes again and I grin at that
” I was born this way ” she proceeded in sitting at the edge of the bed while I watch her hair fall down” I usually hide it because they will think am a witch ” her gaze met mine
” what’s your name little mouse ”
” Zoe Mathew but my friends call me Zoe”
” Zoe” where have I heard that name from, it does ring a bell” how old are you Zoe ” she rise her brows but answer anyway
” nineteen ”
” Zoe…nineteen ” my eyes w¡den at that, I stand to my feet, tuck her hair behind her hair and the mark got me real. The five star tattoo
” silver??”
” I need you to leave ” I turn around, my hands shove in my pocket, I should kill her, she is a descendants, that’s what I live by
” but….”
” now Zoe!!” I could feel her flinch behind me but what she did next shocked me to my bones, no body have dared to touch me without permission
She hug me from behind ” no, am not leaving. If you’re worried that am still a child, you shouldn’t. Am old enough ”
She is frustrating,annoying and pretty stubborn but I can’t bring myself to hit her, this little mouse thinks am angry because of her age
” do you still wish to be my pet after seeing what happened little mouse” turning around my cold eyes met hers but she didn’t flinch like others ” do you want me to drain your blood out of your body??”
” I trust you won’t hurt me Mr silver ”
” Ares ” her eyes glittered like she just won the lottery after hearing my name ” go back to bed little mouse, you need rest ”
I was expecting an argument but to my surprise she simply nod, lay down and cover her body ” I bought a lingerie today Ares ” my attention went back to hers ” want to see??”
Well that will entertain me for a while, she rise to her feet, jump off the bed, lift her wig and brought out the silver lingerie
I was shocked, I actually wasted my time thinking she will lift her dress up and turn around but this little mouse hid it in her wig ” do you like it, I had no idea where to wear it since I already had lots of underwear and this doesn’t really cover anything so I kept it in my wig and whenever we meet I will show you. What do you think”
For the first time in my life I felt speechless, I had no words for this little mouse. What kind of naive way do she think?
And how the hell do I get rid of her, I possibly made her see what happens to pets to make her flinch and run away but she still cling tightly. usually I will kill any descendants of the moon my eyes fall on but this little mouse knows nothing about what she is ” ugly ” was all I muttered before stepping out of the guest room

Chapter Five:
Zoe
Closing my eyes I gro-n at how bright the light is, stretching my hands I frown, moving it around I couldn’t find my alarm clock, who took it ” I swear am gonna kill martin!” Gr-aning I sit up and finally look at my surrounding
Everything that happen last night came back to me in a swift motion, the blood, me losing conscious and Mr silver telling me his name
Ares
I smile at that but the moment my gaze land on the clock my smile vanish, am late for school, mum and dad will be so worried that I didn’t come home last night
Grabbing my wig I fix it properly on my hair before running out of the room, my feet stopped on its own and I look around, this place is different from the house he brought me last time
This place looks like a mansion, my gaze follow different rooms, over ten of them but the largest caught my eye, that have to be Ares room, maybe he is still asleep. I should wake him
Walking towards the door, the moment I tried pushing it a voice stopped me ” sorry for the intrusion but Mr hell dislike other people from entering his room, the number one rule here ” turning to my left I stare at the man dress in a Butler uniform ” am Charles ”
Stepping back I smile ” am Zoe, do you have any idea where Ares is ”
” right in the living room miss Zoe ” nodding I walk past him, I stare at the elevator then the stairs, who puts an elevator in his house. Shaking my head I run down the stairs, stopping I grin widely as my gaze fall on Ares
His head place lazily on his hand while he stare at the news paper in his other hand like someone forced to read ” good morning Ares ” his gaze met mine for a brief second before returning back to his paper
Sitting next to him I couldn’t help but stare at his face, he is just too perfect, his perfect pointed nose, those l-ips and his eyes, his eyes just keep drawing me close, asking me to understand them but it seems difficult
k-ssing his cheek i watch him furrow his brows ” I thought that’s what pet do in the morning ” a c*cky smile rose in the corner of his l-ips, he drop the newspaper and relax his back on the couch
” what make you think you’re my pet little mouse ” he stare at me obviously waiting for an answer
” are you rejecting me again Ares ” I asked, he sigh closing his eyes, his l-ips moved a little before he gasp
” Zoe, I dont make nineteen years old ladies my pet ” he stare at me now ” you’re still young…V-rgin??”
” No ” I lied in a hurry ” am not a V-rgin, I have f-cked lot of boys ” Ares l-ips curved up before he chuckle, I never thought this man knows how to laugh like this
Even tho it didn’t reach his eyes, he still look breath taking ” little mouse” he clear his throat ” I know you’re a V-rgin. I hate when people lie to me ”
For some reason I feel incredibly sad ” sorry ” I muttered before wrapping my hands around his wa-ist and burying my face in his chest ” make me your pet, I want to be with you ”
” you don’t know what pets do little mouse ”
“Teach me ” lifting my head I stare at his face ” you don’t want to leave your little mouse alone right ” batting my eye lashes I did my puppy eyes and stare at him, his l-ips grow into a smile before he run his hands through his hair then look elsewhere
” fine ” he muttered almost like a whisper ” now you can let go ” he shove me off his body then rise to his feet, drawing my attention to what he is wearing, haven’t changed from the suit last night, he doesn’t even look like someone that went to bed last night ” don’t you have somewhere to go little mouse?”
I nod ” I do but am scared I won’t know the way back here ” he take off his jacket and loosen his tie ” am already late for school tho, I could just spend the….” He cut me off
” go home little mouse….my pets always live in my house but you have nothing to wear, you need to pack some clothes and inform your parents about your decision of living with your master ”
” or I could say boyfriend ” his gaze met mine and he sigh shaking his head
” whatever little mouse ” he proceeded in walking upstairs ” I will send a car to pick you up by seven” after that he walk out of my sight, I blink thrice
My life sure is changing, becoming someone’s pet is really something else ” you can do this Zoe ”
……
“You won’t believe what happen to me Zoe, I thought I was getting kidnapped last night….where were you ” may nag on and I keep putting my clothes in my luggage ” where are you going Zoe ”
” am going to Ares may” sitting next to her on the bed I hold her hands ” trust me on this one okay, I will keep coming to school, I will read my books but I just want to be with him, I don’t know why but he makes butterflies appear in my tummy and before you ask, mum and dad thinks am moving to my own apartment ”
” is he nice ” may asked while I nod ” if he tries forcing you to do anything come back home Zoe ”
” I promise ”
Ares
“Their population has increased over night Sir, we have no idea how they keep multiplying even tho we kill them multiple times ” Xar said
” the descendants seem to have someone who keep increasing their powers, the source seem to be radiating from something ” Zar purred ” Mr hell? ” dropping the papers down I stare at them
I will be lying if I said I heard a single word they said, my thoughts seem to have wondered elsewhere ” the marks at the descendants neck, what do they look like ”
Xar inch his brows high but still answered ” five moon tattoo ” Zoe happen to have five star tattoo. That’s extremely strange
” what we need to do is to find one of the counsel, question him then kill him but….” I was cut short as Zoe walk into the house, when her gaze met mine she beam happily, fasten her steps and hug me all of a sudden
” little mouse, what are you doing ” I whisper and watch Zar and Xar mouth open wide, usually I will have pushed anyone that got this close to me without permission
” isn’t this what pets do when they come home and meet their masters” I glare at Xar who seem to be muttering something into Zar ears, exhale I push her away just a little
” go upstairs little mouse, I will come to your room later” she bring her fingers close to my face
” pinky promise ”
” little mouse ” watching her face I just notice how serious she is about this pinky promise, sighing I bring my fingers to hers and cross it
She ran upstairs and my cold eyes meet Xar before he say something stupid, he rise his hands up ” I was saying that she didn’t even notice us, her face beamed up and she ran straight into her masters arms and since when did you treat your pet so….kindly”
” this particular pet seem to be unripe and when you mal handle an unripe fruit it gets rotten ” I said, a smile growing in the corner of my l-ips, none of my pets have ever have the guts of touching me without permission before
She is the first person that didn’t flinch when I glare at her or even when I show her something that will make others run from me ” are we done here” standing to my feet I give them one last glare before walking upstairs
I could still hear murmurs from them but I ignored it completely as I step into Zoe room ” Ares” she sit up and drop the note she must have been reading, she is wearing this brown pajamas and her wig looks ridiculous
Leaning on the door frame I stare at her ” take off your wig little mouse ” I watch her did that without complain and her red hair fall down freely ” I have rules zoe, firstly you must never enter my room, secondly you must be back from where ever you went to before six, thirdly you must not ask for me to love you no matter what ”
” and if I break any of those rules”
” you get punished little mouse” her eyes w¡den at that but it quickly disappear in a mere second
” I can do whatever I want apart from those three” nodding she jump to her feet and move towards my direction wrap her hands around my neck, is this little mouse going to k-ss me
Licking my l-ips in anticipation, she lift up her feet but her l-ips didn’t meet mine instead it met my forehead and I was left shocked, surprised and once again speechless
” good night Ares” she stare at me smiling brightly but I couldn’t bring myself to smile back, not use to it
