Chapter Seventy One:
Zoe
Hugging my knee to myself I close my eyes and think everything through, descendants being vampires before? How is that possible when the descendants only sleep with the god of the moon to reproduce
All these are so confusing, I dont get it, will Ares be okay?? When will all these challenges be over, will we really get our happy ending like Ares said, are we going to die like my mother said
Lots of questions keep flowing into my head and I dont know what to do, should Ares and I run away from all these. Tears are building in my eyes again, why is our love story so hærd, why are we always suffering, why can’t I get what I want
Why can’t we be happy, what wrong did I do. I always do the right thing, I have never wrong anyone then why is all these happening to me, why am I feeling sad most of the times
Sniffing, Ares seem to still be in pain, I wish I can swift parts with him, I wish all these is happening to me instead, Ares has gone through a lot during his life, he has suffered enough
Am I the cause he is always in trouble, he wouldn’t have gone to that ice cream shop if I wasn’t craving for ice cream ” are you okay” lifting my head I stare at the woman, her green eyes seem to be giving me peace of mind
” No” I feel myself breaking down ” I dont understand what’s happening, why can’t I live a normal and happy life, from one trouble to another ” tears are flowing now ” we have been through a lot, even death, isn’t that enough ” I muttered ” haven’t we suffered enough?? Why can’t I be happy with the man I love, a war is also coming, a war that we might both die, are the gods not tired of seeing us suffer, is this a game to them???”
I watch her clean my tears and pull me into a tight embrace ” I do believe everyone have their time ” she muttered ” I know how you well, I have also pass through death with Kent but love conquer everything, he will be alright ” sniffing I cried more, I just want to get all these pain out of my system ” everything will be alright “she pat my back slowly
Will everything really be alright??
Ares isn’t making any sound anymore, standing up I open the door and run into the room, swears all over his body ” Ares??” He open his eyes slowly, back to silver, I let a breath out completely relieved
The man with the red eyes quickly match into the room and punch Ares stomach hærdly, I gasp, it was so fast that I couldn’t detect his movement, how long have he lived
Ares mouth open wide as he vomit undigested human flesh, my hands cover my mouth, Ares kept vomiting and when is finally over he coughed, breathing normal now ” thank you ” his gaze move to the man whose face is expressionless, hands behind his back and am left wondering how that sweet lady like this cold man
” little mouse ” Ares gaze move to mine, worry in his eyes ” did I hurt you, are you okay, can you move pro…..” Before he complete his sentence I place my finger on his l-ips shutting him up
” am fine Ares, you need to go to the bathroom, wash your mouth and take a rest ” helping him up we move to the bathroom, I watch him wash his mouth then gasp, he look tired ” thank you ” I muttered, he stare at me confused ” thank you for fighting Ares, I dont know what I would do if I lose you…thank you ” wrapping my hands around his wa-ist I bury my face in his chest and cried ” thank you ”
He said nothing just exhale and inhale, something warm touch my shoulder, I look up at him, his hands covering his face as tears drop ” f-ck” he mutter ” water keep pouring off my eyes “he clean his face and stare at me before cupping my face ” I told you didn’t I, we will defiantly have our happy ending, stop crying, everything happens for a reason ” he smile, he is always smiling even when we are in trouble ” I have hope Zoe, this happen so that we can find out why descendant were vampires ”
” you heard ” he nod his head then clean my face probably ” I heard everything so now stop crying and smile for me okay ” I nod my head and I smile, his hands move to my l-ips and rob them ” they are dry ” before I could use my tongue to moist it he k-ssed me, a slow and sweat k-ss, I dont care what’s gonna happen in the Future but am certain that right now I will savour this moment
” I love you ” I muttered the moment we break from the k-ss, his l-ips curve into smile as he k-ss my forehead ” I love you too Darling ” holding my hand we walk out of the bathroom, back into the room
He lay down and within minutes he is asleep, he must have been tired, touching his cheek I smile, he is so handsome ” my Ares” tucking some of his blond hair behind his ear I smile knowing fully well that everything has an end and our end will be happy
Drawing my face close to his, I k-ss his l-ips before someone frightened the living life out of me ” what are you doing” I step back, face completely red, I watch her step close ” do you know silver” she ask and I couldn’t help but frown
” dont call him silver” am the only one that should call him that name ” his name is Ares and yes I do know him” I muttered and her mouth move to a o shape
” am sorry ” she smile ” I thought he came alone, am pearl ” her red eyes shine bright but before I could respond I suddenly feel nauseous, my stomach feels upset and the next thing am doing is opening the window and throwing up, had no time to run to the bathroom and by the time am done I noticed my vomit on someone’s head
Stepping back I stare at pearl ” I think I throw up on your boyfriend, the one with the red hair ” she cover her mouth before laughing hærd ” oh my!! Gian will be so pissed” she kept laughing, the feeling of throwing up came again, I run to the bathroom and throw everything out of my mouth, I feel so sick suddenly

Chapter Seventy Two:
Zoe
” are you okay?? You look pale ” pearl muttered as I walk out of the bathroom, faking a smile I proceeded in sitting next to Ares ” am fine, I think I ate something that doesn’t agree with me ” I muttered ” a good nap will help me ” watching her walk out I exhale then lay down on the bed, falling asleep fast

Everywhere is dark, I couldn’t see anything, sounds of swords everywhere, cries of children and mother while blood splash on my hands. Everything became clear, It felt like am watching a movie, I stood facing Ares
” I hate you!!” Shaking my head I tried stopping what’s about to happen but I couldn’t move, all I could do is watch myself stabbing Ares in his heart, look of hatred fill my eyes, I pull the sword out and stab him once more

” No!!!” scre-ming I woke up, sweats on my head ” Ares” looking at Ares I exhale, he is still asleep and alive, thank god, it felt so real and Scarry. Getting off the bed I walk out of the room, the wh0le house suddenly feel quite
” the children are out sweetheart ” that’s the voice of Mr red ” Kent, the visitors are still here…stop” her voice fill with laughter as I stop on my tracks, I may still be young but I think I know what’s about to happen
Shaking my head I continue walking towards the kitchen, I need to thank them for their help, opening the door, she is sitting on the table while they k-ss, his hands m-ssaging her tits, when her gaze met mine she push Kent away, her face completely red
He run his hands through his hair, grab a cup of water but before he could walk out I block his way, his brows furrowed ” thank you” I muttered smiling brightly ” thank you so much for your help”
” dont thank me, my wife forced me to help anyway” he muttered walking pass me, he is cold ” hi, dont mind him, that’s how he is. Come ” I walk towards her as she jump down the table ” I was going to prepare lunch, want to help ” nodding my head she give me some onions to chop
” am Zoe ” I said as she nod ” call me Clarissa ” she smile, she looks happy living such a simple life with a demon ” how did you meet him ” she look at me confused ” how did you meet Kent ”
” oh ” she chuckle ” he bought me, as his slave ” she muttered ” am actually glad he did tho I did pass through a lot with that bastard and to help me cook lunch he disagree” she yell the last part, maybe for him to hear ” what about you, how did you meet him ”
” he use me as bait” I muttered, we chat on and I was beginning to like her, our life’s seem a little similar, I was even shocked when I heard she stab him, they did pass through a lot but it doesn’t measure up to mine tho
He is a million years old, that must be the reason I couldn’t detect his movement when he punched Ares but even when I was laughing that dream is still bothering me, is that a vision, why did I hate Ares, what did Ares do. My mother words came back to me once again
‘ use your power rightly you will save the one you love and wrongly you will destroy them’ I still dont get what she meant, I have no special power
” Zoe!!” Clarissa voice brought me back ” help me set the table ” nodding I do so without arguing and when everything is set I watch Ares walking out of the room, his hair messy, his face expressionless, my Ares is back, he look angry
” what the f-ck man, all my ribs are broken because of your damn punch !!” He gro-n at Kent who was sitting down on his couch, Kent rise to his feet and walk towards Ares, Ares didn’t flinch, stood and stare back at him
” is that how your mum teach you to thank people ” I cover my mouth at the mention of Ares mum, something flash in Ares eyes
“Dont need a woman to teach me things ” they both stood right there and glare at each other ” Kent” Clarissa yell gaining his attention ” is time for lunch ” she open his plate and its actually human flesh placed on his plate
I couldn’t help myself, I quickly run to the nearest window and throw up ” little mouse, are you okay ” Ares rob my back gently as I gasp ” I have been throwing up Ares, I think am ill ” worry fill his eyes
” have you eaten ”
” No ”
” your stomach hurt ”
” No, I just feel sleepy sometimes ” Ares look at me, grab my hands and check my pulse ” how is this possible ” he move his hands to my stomach, our gaze meet, he look shocked ” f-ck!!” He step back
” what’s wrong ??” I asked, am I going to die, is something wrong with me, is this a bad thing ” am going to be a father Zoe” I cover my mouth but before I could talk I hærd to throw up once more
” we are going to take our leave now” Ares muttered starring at them ” thank you once again” holding my hands we vanish into thin air

” eat more Zoe” Xar muttered pushing more plates towards my direction ” I need my little baby girl strong when delivered into this world ” a strong hand hit Xar head ” its a boy idiot ” Zar muttered and Xar frown at him, in no time they are both arguing non stop
Ares sit across the table, confusion still in his eyes, he doesn’t believe I could get pregnant, he looks like he is calculating something as to how this happen, he should just take it as a miracle
Why do I have a feeling that Ares is unhappy with this child, maybe is not the right time for a child, is he sad, do he want me to get rid of it
The door bell ring distracting us, Ares stand to his feet walk towards the door and open it, Fred stood there smiling and what he said next shocked the living life out of Ares ” I need a place to crash in ”
