DEAR MOTHER
Chapter 7
….What is it Christabel,Mrs Williams asked me, bringing me back from my thoughts,oh nothing ma,I said,but you look so lost in thoughts, what’s wrong,she asked me, nothing ma,I am fine.or Maybe you missed your mother,don’t worryI shall try and call her,so you talk with her,she brought out her phone,and called my mom,but she wasn’t answering.
At night,I went to our room,and was starring at mabel,I didn’t know the exact words to tell her,what is it,she asked me?, Mabel,why was uncle Ade touching you like that,,I asked,well if you know what is good for you,you had better stop poking your nose where it is not needed.
I kept quiet and was starring at her before I finally answered the call of nature and fell at sleep.
Mrs Williams was hærdly at home,as she has a busy supermarket, therefore I was at home most of the day with uncle Ade and Mabel .They didn’t stop what they were doing.soon we went on holidays,I was home 24hours of the day.
I was already 12,I was having my bath that morning,when uncle Ade came to our room,he probably came to see Mable,but she had gone to buy something,he heard someone bathing, thinking she was the one I guess,he opened the bathroom door ,he saw me and I was shocked seeing him standing at the door.uncle Ade,what do you want,I asked in mixed feeling of both shock and fear.where is mabel?,he asked,she went to buy something,I replied, really,he said looking at me with lust all over him,I was wondering what he was still doing standing there since I had already answered him,you are not looking bad you know,he said,see you small br-asts,I was already getting angry,mother had thought me never to allow a man say those words to me.Uncle Ade please excuse me I want to bath,and I do not like your looking at my br-ast I said,,,oh sorry small madam he said and shut the door.i was happy he had gone.

While he was still riding me like a horse,the door pushed open, someone had walked in,it was mabel,oh I was happy this would make him stop,but it didn’t,he continued,and continued,he even was going faster untill he had his full,and then he came down p-nting like one who had been involved in a marathon race.
Mabel was angry at him,so it’s her now,it’s her,mabel said to him,oh no my sweet potato,I just wanted to know what she’d taste like,but of course she’s nothing compared to you my sweet mango,he said to her,suprisenly she wore a broad smile she wasn’t even concerned about me nor the pains I was going through,she came to him,sat on his laps and he began to car-ss her br-asts,he was touching and k-ssing her,both of them not minding I was there,soon they were on the bed ,and I saw him rid her like he did to me,the sight was not dignifying,but I was too weak and tired to move out of the room,I just sat down on the floor weeping profusely and wishing mother was there.when they were through,uncle Ade got dressed and went to his room.
For hours I was still sitting on the floor weeping, what’s wrong with you , mabel asked see how you are acting as if you didn’t enjoy what uncle Ade did to you,she said to me.do you know since when I started doing this,you that is 12,going to 13, you are crying as if you are a baby,I started doing this when I was 9,my mummy’s boyfriend does it with me anytime he came to our house and my mummy wasn’t around,I was shocked to hear that.he even says I am sweeter than my mummy.even when I go to visit my mom now and he comes,he still does it with me,I didn’t die even when I was 9,let alone a 12 year old, you are acting as if he killed you.she hissed and walked out on me….
I didn’t eat all through that day,I was angry at everything and everyone.At about 7:30pm Mrs Williams had come,I heard her voice and went down to serve her water as I always do when ever she returned home.Goodevening ma,I greeted , goodevening Christabel,and thanks for the water As always.Christable what is it,you don’t look your usual self,you look sad,what is it,don’t tell me you are missing you mother again,is it because she didn’t answer her phone yesterday,don’t worry, I’d try and cAll her again,she said out of concern ,,no ma,it’s not about that ,I want to tell you something ma,I said.oh Christabel,you know you can always talk to me,what is it.

….Ah sister welcome,hmmm yes ohhhh, she’s trying to tell you I bought paracetamol for her today ohh,she was just running temperature,I had to give her some medications,and asked her to rest.uncle Ade had said,I was shocked to my bones,how he could come up with something like that at once.oh Christabel,so sorry,Mrs Williams said touching my neck and other body parts, because of the pains I had went through over the rape,indeed my body was really hot,and your body is still hot,so sorry my child.have you taking the medication this evening,she asked me,,oh yes sister,I made sure she did,uncle Ade had replied yet again,oh Ade, God bless you for taking care of this child, I really appreciate,if not for you what would have happened, please, still help me take care of her tomorrow,I would be leaving the house very early,I am going to buy goods to restock my boutique, Mrs Williams said to him,ah sister , you have nothing to worry about,you know I am still resting at home,before I will start looking for a job,I am home 24,7 I’d take proper care of her,he said.thank you so much dear brother.Omomi, Christabel,don’t worry,uncle will take very good care of you.but if after tomorrow you are still not better, I’d take you to hospital when I return a day after tomorrow.she gave me a k-ss on my check and asked me to go in and rest.Ademi,please take her to her room,Mrs Williams said.okay sister, Christabel,come and rest,it’s late,I walked slowly to him,he held my hands and was walking me to our room.
Immediately we got in,side he shut the door,a slap landed my cheek,I felt I was going to die.my eyes were spinning and everything was in circle,how dare you,how dare you you little brat,you were going to tell on me to my sister you little witch,next time,I mean next time you try that,you will be dead you bastard,he pushed me to the bed,and I don’t want to see you outside this room,he threatened and walked away.I told you to keep quiet didn’t I, but nooo,your busy body will not allow you,see you life now,rubbish,Mabel said and slept off.
I was in pains,my heart was broken,I really wished I was never born,I wished my father hadn’t abandoned us,I wished my mother was with me,I wished my step father didn’t send us out,I cried ,I cried and cried untill my voice became voiceless.i didn’t know what to do,but I needed to talk to someone,I went to my bag,and brought out a book and a pen,I started to narrated my ordeal to my mother like she was with me.

I am in pains,I am in tears, remember you told me never to allow anyone touch my bumbum, but uncle Ade did,I tried to make him stop,but he pushed me to the bed,covered my mouth and put something from his body which was so strong and long in,side my bumbum,it really hurt mother,but he didn’t stop despite my plead,he did same with another girl about my age living here too,her name is Mabel,mother,I don’t like it here anymore,I want to go home,Mrs Williams is a kind woman,she has been taking care of me just like you would do,but I can not live here anymore,mother please come take me home.
I wrote and kept beside my bed,it was difficult Falling asleep,I cried my eyes out till the early hours of the morning.uncle Ade was the first person I saw when I woke up,he had come to wake me actually,get up you busy body and go take you bath, Uncle Ade goodmorning,I said, goodmorning my baby he replied,and that reply was very annoying to me.Uncle Ade breakfast is served mabel said smiling sheepishly,okay my baby no 1,I am coming to eat the food and also eat your,he hit her on her buttocks and they both laughed as they went to the dinning to have breakfast,it was obvious Mrs Williams had left the house as she said the previous night that she’d be leaving early.i went in and had my bath,I was very hungry but had no apatite,I just drank water and stayed back In our room.
Minutes later,uncle Ade came to the room and was wearing that annoying smile, licking his tongue like he had milk in his mouth.my heart was racing,I knew what he wanted to do again.i soon began to cry, uncle Ade please,please don’t do this to me I beg you,oh calm down Christabel, you’d be fine,just calm down and I promise you are going to enjoy it, uncle Ade please I don’t want to enjoy it,I don’t want it,please uncle Ade,oh shut up and stop the uneccessary drama he said, it’s obvious you don’t want it gentle and peaceful, I’d give it to you how you want it,he dragged me and forcefully started removing my clothes,he pulled off my skirt and unzipped his trousers and brought out that long strong thing from his body and was pushing it in and out my priiivate part again forcefully,oh the pains,it hurt,it really did,I cried,I cried,but uncle Ade didn’t stop.i was weak,very weak,he stopped when he had enough of me,not minding my innocent tears.
He stood up and was smiling yet again,I had become angry at him,but there was nothing , nothing I could do.mrs Williams didn’t come that day,when she goes to buy goods,she comes the next day .same was that day.uncle Ade take turns in laying with us,I didn’t understand what pleasure he and Mabel had in all of that excapde….
I hadn’t eaten anything from the first time uncle Ade raped me,it’s been more than 30hours,and uncle Ade kept raping me on empty stomach.it was day break again,and he came to our room yet again,asking me to go take my bath,I remembered he raped me again after I had taken my bath the previous day,hence I refused bathing,he went and came back minutes later,but I had not bath, I was even too weak to get up,I had little or no strength in me,so you have refused to bath,okay,I will have it just like that,I couldn’t beg,nor cry,no strength in me to do that.uncle ADE climed me yet again and began to rid me,not minding my state of weakness,oh Christabel you are sweet,you are so sweet he kept saying ad he continued with his evil act,Mabel had gone to buy bean cake and pap for breakfast hence she was not home,hot tears were only running down my eyes,but I didn’t speak,just then we heard Mrs Williams voice, where are they ohhh, who’s in this house,where is Christabel, immediately he heard her voice,he jumped down, quickly put on his clothes and ran to the living room,I had no Strength to talk or walk,so I started crawling to the sitting room,I could hear Mrs Williams asked after me and my health,uncle Ade told her I was better and that I was sleeping not to be disturbed,take me to my mother,I was saying,take me to my mother,but my voice was too faint for Mrs Williams to hear me,oh since she’s better I’d run to the shop to put things in other,I just arrived but came to check up on her,she said and stood up to start going,as she got up she saw me crawling,she ran to where I was , Christabel, what is it,what happened.
I was already out of breath,but managed to say,TAkE ME TO MY MOTHER,and passed out….
