Chapter One.

DENAVIA 🌼🌼
The tyres of my cars screeched as I drove swiftly and roughly into the school parking lot. I was late.

Let me get this straight, I’m always late. And at times like that, I blame my mum or dad for not waking me up early. But this time, I have no one to blame cos my parents were out before I even woke up. I ran through the school hallways which was empty. Every student had gone to class.

As soon as I got near my class, I slowed down and started walking noiselessly, I peeped through the window to see what was going on in the class before I entered. I checked the teacher’s seat, he wasn’t there. I frowned at that. I checked the back of the class and amidst the student, he wasn’t there and the class was noisy. I peeped at my best friend who kept looking at the door, probably expecting me too enter.

When I finally decided that no teacher was in the class, I opened the door and entered. Only a few noticed and as soon as they saw that it was me, they went back to their businesses. My best friend, Kaisha Hendrix, ran towards me. And we both walked back to our seats.

“Where have you been, I called you thousands of times.” Isha asked with concern.

” Well, good morning to you too.” I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
“I woke up late and my parents weren’t even home when I woke up so I just made breakfast myself which made me more late.” I finally answered her.

” I thought you died when sleeping or something when you weren’t picking your calls or replying my messages.” She sighed.

I looked around the class. ” Where’s the teacher?” I asked her.

“He fell off the stairs.” She deadpanned.

I almost burst into laughter. “He what?! How did that even happen.”

“When he was coming to our cursed class of course.” She replied mindlessly while reading a magazine.

” Anyways, I need to use the restroom, I’ll be right back.” I stood up from my seat and walked towards the door.

“Yeah, whatever. Just don’t trip.” She said that statement like my mom. I just rolled my eyes and walked out.

In the hallways, I was hearing other footsteps apart from mine. Finally, the school Kings came into view. Cameron St. Laurent and Liam Hart. I quickened my steps so that I won’t get to meet them, and guess what, I tripped. I tripped on my own f-cking leg and landed face flat, k-ssing the floor. Yay life!
No.

I gro-ned as I tried to stand up. “Are you okay?” The voice I had been dreading all these years, sounded like honey in my ears. Cameron’s.

“Of course, I’m fine. Not like I tripped badly or anything. I don’t usually trip like this, just that it isn’t a good day today. I mean, I’m cursed aren’t I? Haha, I’m just cursed.” I chuckled nervously after ranting like a fool. Liam and Cameron gave me confused looks.

“You know what, I’ll just go.” I said quickly and ran off. I got into one of the restroom stalls and released the breath I didn’t even know I was holding. I did my business quickly and peeped through the hallways to see if the boys were still there, but they were gone. *sighs*

I finally got to class to see everyone gawking at Cameron and Liam who were seated on their usual seats. Even my best friend was gawking. I walked towards her and gave a good smacking behind her head.

“Hey! What was that for?” She pouted.

“Clean your drool, if only you could see the way you were gawking at them.” I told her as she used her palms to clean the side of mouth.

“But I can’t help it, Liam is just too hotttt.” She whined. I just rolled my eyes at her statement. “And besides, what took you so long at the restroom.” My eyes w¡dened and I cleared my throat.

“Uhh, nothing.” I replied quickly and she looked at me suspiciously. Just as she was about to say something, the bell rang, signalling the end of this period and the beginning of another period. Thank you o’ dear school bell.
